I'm visiting from CA and heard this restaurant was a great activity. I really wanted it to be amazing but unfortunately it's run by people who are overbearing and have no customer service skills. I booked my reservation two months ago for a Monday night. I knew it may be busy on the weekends and wanted to guarantee my seats by booking early. I completed my reservation on Open Table but when I spoke to the host to confirm my reservation they wanted me to give my credit card information over the phone. I'm 100% ok with reserving a table with my information using a secure payment method, but I'm not ok with freely giving my card information over the phone. When I told the host about being uncomfortable, she was rude and said " we'll just cancel your reservation". Wow! After having this planned for two months, getting treated poorly was definitely not what I expected. I'm glad it happened before I spent my time and money going to for a great experience only to be treated poorly. My friends suggested Tucanos in Downtown Albuquerque instead. read more

Ten3 has never disappointed, and this last experience was no exception. In fact, the experience on this third trip was so exception I felt compelled to leave a review for others looking for a similar experience. Our party of six arrived a little early for our 7:00 reservation after the pleasant trip up the tram. The staff was able to accommodate our early arrival and took us to our seats almost immediately. It all started with our server, Joe, who went above and beyond our expectations, even for a nicer restaurant. He was quick to take orders, refill drinks, and clean up empty plates. One of the nicest touches, however, was that every time someone from our party went to the restroom he would go to the table and refold their napkin for them and would make himself present to pull our chairs for people as they returned the table. He was personable, fun, attentive, and made thoughtful recommendations on the menu based on queries from our group. We started with two of the three different breads they were serving that night - the rosemary bread was so delicious that they ran out just before our arrival (understandable considering we were one of the last tables to seat for the night). The butter they served with the bread was creamy, like frosting for your bread, with some sort of seed mixed in. Joe took our cocktail orders while we browsed the appetizers and broke bread. The bar was nearly finished with our drinks before we settled on appetizers for the table. The drinks were masterly crafted throughout the night and the bar and drinks are easily among the best in Albuquerque. I started with a margarita which was crafted with a house-made jalapeno syrup, rimmed with a green chile salt, and had a roasted green chile "chip" as garnish inside the drink - I highly recommend. I also had their version of an Old-Fashioned which was also delicious. My wife ordered one of her favorite drinks which was off-menu and she said it was one of the best she had as well. We placed out salad and entrée orders and were enjoying our drinks when the first appetizers - the squash blossom - arrived in about the amount of time as our drinks had, and then the foie gras arrived only a few moments later. I am not a fan of fried food or liver so neither appetizer is my preference but in a group of six you make some concessions. The Squash Blossom was lightly-ish fried and really good especially for a fried food. The foie gras was good (for liver) but I would not personally order it. The person at the table who does enjoy liver said it was better than the foie gras they had in France (which was admittedly not a high-quality version). Our entrees arrived shortly after we finished the appetizers and Joe took additional drink orders which is when I swapped to trying their old-fashioned. I ordered the pork chops, but also around the table others had ordered the T-bone steak, mac and cheese, and lamb chops. I had lamb chops on a previous trip and those remain my favorite that I have had, though the T-bone that my wife ordered is a close second. On this trip I ordered pork chops which were cooked to perfection, but the standout was the polenta. We finished with desserts of which the peanut butter chocolate dessert was the table's favorite. I just went for a cappuccino which was a nice cap for the night and provided a little additional warmth against the cold summer breeze at the top of the mountain. read more

The gent Al man at the front sat us down and it was good until... the waiter had his hands and arms on the counter talking at the bar. We walked in as a group of 5 he looked at us and NEVER came over. We sat there for at least 2 minutes without someone coming over to check on us, or even ask us what we wanted to drink. It wasn't until I said something, another customer said to the waiter "they left because you didn't wait on them" the young boy still stood there and just stared at the customer. I recommend checking the weather before you go cause we got stuck at the top for about 2 hours since there was some lightening and rain. The complimentary honey bread was delicious. The forest mushrooms were good, however it was sitting in too much oil. Both entrees that we ordered were tasty. Food is definitely on the pricey side for dinner, but overall it was very well prepared. You also have to purchase tram tickets separately, which is another $30 per person roundtrip. read more

Ten 3 complements your tram ride with a dining experience at 10,300 ft. They have a fine and regular dining experience. Definitely make reservations ahead of time for the fine dining. Only had to wait 15 mins for the regular dining experience. Quite a few cocktails to choose from and beer menu. Selected the vegetable side and the roasted brussel sprouts were expertly toasted. Brisket sandwich was marinated nicely. Grilled portobello stacker had way to much pickled onions which took away from the portobello. Yet, the service lagged at times. Check out this place if you need a bite to eat, but don't expect much. I will need to try the fine dining experience and see how they compare. read more

Epic food! So I was definitely skeptical about eating at what I thought was a typical ski resort restaurant which are usually run down and nothing great. This was by far the best one I've ever eaten at and was not even a ski resort restaurant at all. It was so much better than that. The food was on point and so was the service. We got some drinks, a golden beat salad with pine nuts which was out of this world and the best beef brisket fries I've ever had in my entire life! The brisket was perfect trimmed so you didn't have to cut and fell right apart in your mouth. I would definitely take the tram up again just for the restaurant! Bottom line: I really enjoyed that brisket sandwich, and the sweet potato side, unexpectedly cold, was a great counter-point to the hefty stuffing mah belly was taking. But there are a ton of points to cover in this review so let's get to 'em, first things first: 1. Only accessible via tram ride, you'll want to plan a good two hours plus for a meal. You'll also pay separately for the tram ride, so there's that. 2. The venue is actually two spaces -- and I've suggested they make a separate Yelp listing for the bar area, and call it Ten 3 Lounge. That's where I sank my teeth into a reasonably priced, delicious brisket sandwich. The bar menu is affordable and the view of the ski resort is well worth the tram ride. 3. The main dining area, overlooking the city, is breathtaking even by day. Entrees there run $30-$50, so it's really designed for special events and nights with yer sweetheart, even if you're your own sweetheart. Treat yo'self. 4. While we New Mexicans rarely worry about the weather, this place gets held hostage often. If our dreaded high winds break a certain threshold, the Ten 3 must close, leaving sweethearts brokenhearted, and staff tipless. So just keep that in mind when you make a reservation. 5. All of this adds up, to me, to a place I would absolutely plan a day in the Sandias around. Go up early, hike or ski, and close with an early afternoon chow session with a craft cocktail or local beer. The immense work (not to mention cost) associated with constructing this marvel is astonishing enough; you'd spend the same at a great steakhouse, but ain't nobody in this city got this view. 6. Amazing restaurant and bar at the top of the mountain. The views are unreal especially since the sides of the restaurant are all glass. If you want to sit in the bar you might have to wait a while however the drinks are worth it! I got a chocolate one that was so good. However, we sat for 18-20 minutes before anyone even said a word to us. We flagged down Tommy, who was working a section on the other side of the restaurant, because he was the only one that paid us any mind. From that point on, he took exceptional care of us. The reason this review does not get 5 stars is because of the dysfunctional management. On our way down in the tram, one of the managers was discussing with co-workers the high improbability that some table was actually waiting for 20 minutes before being attended to - in an accusatory tone as if we or our server had falsely embellished that story. We did not. They did not. We were just ignored. This manager did not know we were standing next to them in the tram, the same way they didn't notice our lack service. The salad was good, but the other variety of food was not. The "brisket" was dried sliced roast beef. When I asked her while ordering, how it is, she said she doesn't eat meat so she doesn't know. The waitress was rude when we asked if we can move our two tables together to accommodate our party of 9. She said no. We asked why and she said "I don't know, I just work here." Then we realized at the end of this waste of money experience, that they don't care how rude because they include a 20% tip in your bill. So they don't need to display any kind of customer service. I am so sad because my partner were so excited for a romantic fine dining experience, however what we got was anything but. The food is not at the level or quality of a fine dining establishment, and the service was horrendous. The waiter / "Servers assistant" took over 20 minutes to bring water. Water is important at high elevation. The only reason we got our drink order in was because a female waitress who wasn't even our server stopped by to ask if we had been helped. Our male waiter eventually apologized for his issues of attentiveness but did not improve after his apology if anything it just got worse. Then the food .... We ordered oysters for an appetizer. The oysters we got were just pure fishy tasting with salt. There was no layering of flavors. My partner and I have had oysters all over the world and these were hands down the worst oysters I have ever had fine-dining or otherwise. My main was no better. I ordered the Paella. I hadn't eaten all day so I was happy to order something that would be warm and satisfying but the Paella was a huge disappointment. Fishy being the main flavor, chicken was way overcooked, and overall there was nothing special about the "fine-dining" paella. It tasted like something an uncle tried making for the first time and bought bad seafood. So sad that these are their standards. I read through the reviews from months ago and yet they have failed to improve. The reason why I'm so upset is because this was supposed to be a special weekend and I ended up getting sick from the "fine-dining" food. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This place is really nice. We made reservations for 5:45 and got seated 15 minutes before since we were there early . While waiting for our seats, we were concerned about the low rating found on yelp. However, once we walked into the dining room, we were so impressed with the great view , the warm fireplace and nice decor. We had a long day with the travel, so all of us don't have much of appetite. So we ordered quite light. The server is so nice about it. She brought pumpkin bread and rosemary bread while we are waiting for our food. We got chamomile tea and green tea for warming up in a cold winter day and to our surprise, it came with a little jar of honey and a wedge of lemon . While waiting for our food, we can see the chef cooking in the open kitchen and occasionally stove fire jumping onto the pan. Then our food came and the presentation is impressive. Food tasted quite well as well. The roast mushroom side is so savory that I think they cook it with steak. The tomatoes balances the asparagus and earthy potatoes. Fall salad is also very good with flavorful cheese and crunchy walnuts After the meal, they also give each of us a salted chocolate. The salt is quite refreshing with the chocolate. It is a little pricy, but considering how difficult it is to transport everything, it makes sense. read more

Let me start by saying I had lunch here, not dinner. I was in town to visit family. I wanted to venture out on my own so I Yelped this place. Reviews were eh.. but decided to try. You pay $25 to get to the place by tram. The lunch menu is super lame and limited. The servers steer you to pick the most expensive items because that's how basic the menu is. Both of these items were nothing to write back to Texas, as a matter of fact my steak took forever to get to my table and was COLD. The service lacks tremendously!! This has only been open for a few weeks. It replaces High Finance, and has made some nice improvements. The architecture is well done. The restaurant is divided into a lounge/bar that has views to the east, while the dining room faces west - both with excellent views. The bar is a bit noisy because of the high ceilings and tile floor. The dining room is noisy because of the high ceilings and the open kitchen. I realize the open kitchen idea is the trend. But it appears to explain one shortcoming: SLOW SERVICE. There seem to be plenty of wait staff but the kitchen appears much too small and understaffed for the number of tables in the dining area and bar. The menu is unimaginative but the dishes are well prepared. Our wait staff in the bar and dining room were very pleasant and responsive. The food is very pricey for what you get, especially considering the price of the tram ride to the top. Not a great dessert menu, and my wife and I got charged an extra $2 because we shared a dessert - pretty tacky for a place that is cultivating an upscale image. I had the wings and they were delicious. The carrots and the celery were crispy and fresh. The ranch dressing was unlike any I've tasked before and the cappuccino I had was very good. The view was definitely what it promised to be , the restaurant had large windows and the hostess tried to give us the table close to the window. We got reservations for dinner . They served complimentary sesame rolls and a blue corn bread, delicious!! We got the Goat Cheese Flan which came with a fig Gastrique , which I highly recommend and Cauliflower fennel soup.The soup was the most underwhelming part of the whole experience, the soup could use a little more seasoning, it was pretty bland although the plating was nice . For entree we got the Yukon potato tomato tart and the Red Chile Short rib , they were both very good . The dessert options were nice along with interesting options for desserts cocktails . I found 10 3 to be seriously overpriced with disappointing entrees and for the price the food should have a wow factor. There were a few items I would have considered trying but I just couldn't justify the cost of them and honestly...after being completely disappointed with what we had I am certainly glad we didn't opt to order more expensive items. I'm not likely to return or recommend, this place has a lot of work to do if they want to be able to justify the prices they charge. Beautiful view but abysmal service. 3 tables surrounding us, who arrived much after we were seated, received their meals, ate, and were GONE before our meals even arrived. Our perky waitress eventually noticed us and never indicated that she was even remotely aware that we had been overlooked. (I thought perhaps that we had neglected to deactivate our cloaking devices, but we indeed had and were therefore NOT invisible). Another disappointment was the selection of head-banger death metal music blaring over the audio system that someone apparently thought was appropriate to the surroundings. I don't recommend this place. Its a tourist trap. I made the reservations for 4 and requested a window table over a month in advance for 6:30 on Mon. July 10 hoping to see a good sunset with out of town guests. We live in Sandia Heights (base of the tram) so taking the tram and eating on top of the mountain is not a novelty for us, but is for our guests. I called to see about adding l person to the res and was told we couldn't do that and have a window table. We didn't add the person. We arrived at 5:30 and announced our presence and planned to wait an hour so that our guests could do the nature trail hike. The front manager tried to encourage us to take the table at 5:30. We agreed, but when we said we'd be happy to and to have a drink he said no..you have to wait for your entire party so we went to the bar and had a couple of very expensive drinks in a very loud environment while we waited. Our guests returned promptly at 6:25 and we were shown not to a window table, but one as far from the window as you could get...I complained...no use...forget it...they'd filled up the window tables with people who didn't have reservations for 6:30 (apparently). We then ordered our overpriced (for the quality) entres,salads, drinks and two desserts (which at the LEAST should have been comped)...one guest ordered a cappucino that didn't come promptly so we got up to pay the bill since the waiter was not around. Overall this place is overpriced, the food is average for fine dinning, even considering that ABQ doesn't have many high quality fine dinning restaurants. They have elaborate requirements and penalties for their customers, but don't provide anything exceptional except location.. DON'T bother, save your money, see the sunset from the deck which has a better view in summer anyhow!!! 10/3 and its bar are a major tourist trap. If you want to eat in the neighb try County Line. So they do not tell you that you have to stand in line for ten minutes to get a ticket then stand in line another ten minutes to get on the tram where you stand for twenty minutes like a cow on its way to slaughter. Moooooo. Then they told us we only had ninety minutes to eat. They also opened the blinds so the sunset hit me squarely in the face. Then you stood in line for another ten minutes to be crammed into the tram for twenty minutes to finally escape to your car. But a little small as it is a starter plate. If you're hungry, though, best to order a few small plates or the burger and the brisket dishes are huge! We took a seat at the bar in the lounge area and we were asked to present our ID's. We presented our drivers license. Being from New Jersey and turning 21 after COVID (2020), my ID will be verticle until 2027, due to DMV's making 80% of their serves online since 2020. The manager was very abrupt and stated they did not accept verticle ID's. If I had known of this rule prior, I would have made sure to bring an ID that presented more proof of my date of birth. Being from New Jersey, I thought it was absurd because it is very common to have a verticle ID anywhere on the east coast. I tried explaining the situation and she gave us no time and stated that she had never worked at a bar (in New Mexico) that accepts verticle ID's. The way the situation was handled was abrupt and very demeaning. Coming from the east coast, no one had explained to me the deal with having a verticle ID and it was like I should be shamed for even presenting it. My friend and I visited Albuquerque for a day and rode up the tram in order to see the city. To our surprise, we found one of the coolest restaurants at the top called Ten 3. Jennifer, the best bartender ever, and Rebeka, our waitress, were both so amazing! They were so sweet and accommodating and I've never had a better margarita (or 4) in my life!
