Thai Iced Tea and Sunny With a Chance of Matcha
    Sharyl J.

I was visiting Davis and craving matcha, so I stopped by and ordered the Cloudy With a Chance of Matcha, from what looked like their seasonal menu. It was sooo good, 10/10! The original recipe does contain dairy/heavy cream, but they were able to make it with a non-dairy coconut option instead, which was great! It was very busy but the line went pretty fast. The girls working were also very friendly and efficient. If only I had this cafe where I lived, I would be here often!

I really enjoy Temple Coffee and have been to the majority of their locations. I came here years ago for a drink but stopped at the Davis location most recently to get some beans for gifts. Service was friendly and attentive. Seating definitely can be a challenge. There's a row of seating along the window and that was fully occupied on a late weekday morning.

Wow, what an awesome coffee shop to stumble upon during our roadtrip! It was packed, but the workers were quick to take orders. I tried the matcha latte and I appreciate being asked if I'd like sweeter or not. The matcha itself was the perfect amount of bitterness and not diluted. A big highlight was the pastries, the lemon poppy seed pound cake was light and coffee cake donut had a delightfully soft bite to it. Highly suggest checking out Temple, parking might take a bit to find too!

The quality is average. I think overpriced for its quality staff are nice though. We got the latte and it is on the bitter side

Perhaps one of the best matcha lattes you can get in Davis. I said it! The interior of the cafe is very modern and minimal, the furniture is very unique to the place, I love the plants. When you come to a cafe to do work, its nice to see unique touches and greenery. Its a very busy cafe, but I argue its the great work of the baristas on deck! Lattes that are coming out of a college town cafe are way better because the baristas just know our palettes and the integrity of making a drink. When I placed an order for my matcha, the baristas went straight to the rigorous whisking, and it takes legitimate arm strength to get frothy matcha. Its not for the weak. The seasonal drink items tell me that they are likely making their syrups in house. The pastry case looked amazing. Also since my drink was made to order the temperature was perfect. I had a great tasting experience. For students: since it is crowded it is a hit or miss whether you can find seating, let alone outlets. Wifi is available.

This coffee shop is great. Convenient location in downtown, consistent quality, friendly service, and good buzz. Line can get long but it goes surprisingly quick. There's decent amount of space for students to bring their laptops...though I don't really know how you can get much studying done with all the commotion. Anyways...highly recommended!

It was packed with a line out the door on a Sunday. When there is a line, they take your order while you're in line, before you reach the register. The inside was well lit with plenty of natural sunlight. While waiting in line, we tried the coffee sample they had available. The wonder blend was super fruity. I was surprised that coffee could even taste like that. I didn't like it but my boyfriend took a bag home. I got one of their specials at the moment. the Camp Crush - "fresh watermelon syrup, vibrantly paired with matcha and sparkling water". I didn't like it and didn't end up finishing it. My friend also tried it and didn't like it. There are a lot of pastries on display next to the register. You're bound to find something you like

My husband is an espresso hound. We stopped in here when he was in need of a good shot of espresso. He was very impressed. He said the Dharma espresso is every bit as good as his favorite espresso at his favorite shop. I don't drink coffee but tea is for me!! I had a Sencha Kyoto green tea. Bonus points for it being loose leaf tea and they do not put it in a bag to steep. It was served in a lovely ceramic pot with a removable steeping basket. Their selection of goodies was pretty picked over but what they had looked good. They do have various coffee and tea accessories and lots of bags of coffee for sale. We come to Davis often. This will make it on our rotation of places to visit when we are in Davis. The service was efficient and friendly. The interior is bright and pleasant. Lots of students working on their laptops. It is lively and charming inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Clean, modern interior with SF vibes. Bench, counter, and table seating both indoors & out. Greeting people in line with a smile is always a great way to start customer engagement, and that's consistently the case here. The free sample of their newest (or fav) brew is also a nice touch while you're in line. The espresso is solid, perfect temperature, and served with a glass of sparkling (as it should always be). Lots of good looking pastries, but not much of a morning snack collection if you are looking for some protein. My vote for the best espresso spot in town.

My number one favorite cafe in all California. Pastries are delicious. The coffee, chai, and matcha are all perfect. Such a nice place to study, catch up with friends, or get a pick me up!

I came here around 7AM in the morning, and there were a couple of people inside doing some work/ drinking coffee. The barista was nice greeting me and grabbed my order before I headed to the register. I ended up getting a bear claw to eat and a matcha latte with oat milk. It was little bit pricey with me spending around $13. Bear Claw: This pastry was pretty solid. There was a nice flakiness to the pastry and the filling was not overly sweet. The pastry was a pretty solid bear claw. Matcha Latte (w/ Honey): The baristas brought the drink out to where I was sitting. The drink was more on the bitter side (which I enjoy), and I didn't taste too much of the sweetness. As I was finishing up my food, it got really busy with about 10+ people coming in and forming a line. This place can get really busy with limited seating to work/ study so be wary of that if you decide to come in. Nonetheless, it was a great place to enjoy my morning drink. I love to see this Davis staple continuing to thrive.

This is my second time visiting this spot. The first time I stopped in for an iced matcha and this time I tried an matcha latte with almond milk and a hint of sweetener. The matcha is quite nice and the atmosphere has a cool vibe. The first time I visited I had a cinnamon pastry and it was good. I hear earlier in the morning they have quite an assortment of delightful unique treats!

Came in specifically for the Miso caramel latte and Pandan Latte. I've had plenty of miso caramel lattes and what I love about it is a good contrast of your savory/salt you get from the miso paste and something sweet like caramel. What I'm missing is the sweet. Don't get me wrong I don't love things overly sweet but it lacks enough caramel to have a good juxtaposition because I got mostly salt and savory. If I order this in the future I would just ask for maybe a little more caramel. The star of the coffees was the Pandan latte. Pandan is green and reinforces a coconut type of flavor. It's bold enough with out feeling like it's over wheeling in syrup, so they balance it well. The plus is texture when they include a coconut toffee on top. Which apparently they make in house (per the barista). Staff was super friendly and helpful and the coffee came out ok about 8ish minutes.

I found the quality of the food here to be quite good and unique. Sometimes cafe food just feels like it came from somewhere else, but even if these did, they have a uniqueness about them. For example, the chocolate croissant is very flakey with a good amount of chocolate in the interior. It really surprised me! I also found the ham and cheese croissant to be very rich in flavor. My only gripe about either or these items was the heating method. Late birthday celebration and catchup with friend here at Tea List. I've never done any sort of…read morehigh tea, so I wasn't sure what to expect except that there would be tea and treats :) When we arrived, there was cutesy Bridgerton music playing in the main patio/cafe/check-in area, and jazzy 'Nawleans' type blues instrumentals in the detached patio. The detached patio was cute but the insulated plastic covering kept hitting the back of my head whenever a large gust of wind blew by. I was probably smacked at least 3 times lol High Tea service comes with: Scones with Devonshire cream and jam 5 types of finger sandwiches 3 types of desserts Small variety of fruit (some of ours looked old and dry like the apple slices) 4 pots of tea for 2 people (I believe each person gets to choose 2 flavors each) Highlights for me: Cranberry orange scone with Devonshire cream Cucumber cream cheese sandwiches Curry chicken salad sandwiches Bella coola tea Service was great. I wished each teapot was labeled or had some sort of tag to indicate which was which. Overall, a great first high tea experience. This is a wonderful spot for little tea parties, birthday celebrations, or just general chismis hahaha

WHY WE WENT HERE: - friend's belated birthday…read more THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - we didn't know until we got here that all the seating is outside; there are 2 patios; thankfully the one we were in is enclosed; it was sunny but windy so there were plastic walls to shield people from the wind but also heaters available from the ceiling to keep you warm - loved that each seating arrangement and tea set used for every table was different and unique! - at the time we arrived there was a Yelp event going on and the Bridgerton soundtrack was playing - the patio we were seated at played jazz though; it was nice, but it threw me off THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - the actual inside looks like a donut shop, but it's where the workers get the tea and snacks to then bring out to the customers THE MENU: - breakfast - lunch - specialty drinks - tea service - tea list WHAT WE ORDERED: - high tea THE TASTE: - all the teas we ordered were great! - the snacks were good too, nice presentation and tasty CUSTOMER SERVICE: - we made a reservation (FYI you can't do it too far in advance; maybe 1-2 weeks prior) - when we checked in, we were too early, so we had to busy ourselves for a time period before returning to re-check in - the server we got was knowledgeable about the tea - what we would change differently is if there were labels on the teapots indicating what tea was what to keep track

I've been coming here since it was called Bober Tea because I love the cute pink interior design. I…read morelove trying new drinks and waffles everytime I go. They have a very large menu so I haven't tried their snacks or noodles yet. My go to drink is the pink Vietnamese coffee, it's quite strong so something to keep in mind! It's a nice place for working and studying although it can get quite loud as most people come to hang out with family/friends. I love that they have outlets but their seating is quite limited (3 tables last time I went in). Although it's a little pricey I will probably keep coming back for the pink vibes and to try more matcha drinks.

The employees were very nice and helpful as well. They have a large menu of drinks and snacks including soy pudding, Vietnamese coffee, and waffles. If you are somebody that's new to Asian drinks and desserts I would say that this is a good introduction to those drinks and desserts BUT it is 3 times sweeter than what they normally are. I ordered a soy pudding and I don't believe there was a sweetness level adjustment option and it was very very sweet. The level of sweetness would be something that younger kids probably enjoy. We also tried a hazelnut Vietnamese coffee which had a very strong coffee flavor but was also very very sweet. We couldn't finish our drinks but if you're somebody with a major sweet tooth, you would enjoy it here.

I got the grapefruit yakult drink with lychee jelly at 25% sweetness and less ice. I was looking for a caffeine free drink. This really fit the bill. I found it to taste really good, I'll be a little sweet for my taste, but I also prefer my drinks on the less sweet side. The shop itself is fine, nothing really to write home about but clean enough. It's a little bit cramped because they have like a clothing rack and stuff in there, but it works. I liked the little outdoor seating area. The staff and service was fine. Nothing really to write home about but nothing bad either! I do think the owner of the shop was there when I stopped by and having a conversation with another staff member, but didn't bother me at all. Looking forward to coming back and trying their other drinks. It looks like they have some really interesting and creative things. Four stars because I thought it was pretty good, but nothing quite stand out yet.

I wish it tasted more green tea than water 1/5 stars (I ended up throwing away 80% of it) - brown sugar boba- pretty good. Standard 4/5 stars Overall I'd give it a good 3.5 stars bc of fair pricing and drinks came out quick.
