This guy ROBERT is a crook…read more I called him to re key two doors which he did. He then upsold me to do some alarm system in two offices which I agreed too. He even offered to put up an outdoor security camera which staff would have access to monitor and it would be free, I was curious how he would offer a free camera and he kept saying "because he wants us to be happy" yeah famous last words. He was monitoring the camera and upon arrival of office employees he would show up and one time dropped off some thermostats telling a female manager that he needed payment for materials. We had never even asked for them at all. The manager stated she had no approval to pay for these and to keep them, he insisted on them being left with us and came back two more times for payment, making everyone in the office very uncomfortable. He finally took those thermostats back. In the middle of all this we had some minor electrical work to do at a second location, this is where it gets really shady. Robert is clearly not an electrician, although his contractor license would tell you he is, he brought in another gentleman who was and they did the work requested. It was very sloppy! Installing 3 boxes in the wall crooked and not lined up, after they left we plugged a power cord into one of the boxes and when we pulled it out the box came out of the wall, he came back to fix it and immediately started blaming one of the laborers on the job site who had zero to do with this, they left loose wires exposed in another area and I questioned him about those they said they were dead and needed to be removed. He then grabbed said wires and electrocuted himself. Next we got the classic shake down, he started talking about an alarm system for the premises, I told him that I had other priorities at that time and declined any further work be done. Two nights later just before 10pm I got a text message with a bunch of invoices for equipment he had purchased. I ignored it, another day passed and he called me, I politely explained I wasn't really happy with the quality of his work so at this time I was working with a different electrical contractor and I would call him if I needed any further services. Now the shake down begins, he starts yelling and screaming at me that someone on the job site was out to get him and set all those mistakes up, not true as there is only one other person on site apart from myself and we have worked together for a number of years and would never mess with anything, plus he was there doing some ceiling installation, nothing to do with electrical or alarms. Robert then tells me just to pay him the $1500 for supplies he purchased on my behalf, I advised him that I had never authorized any further work and to simply return his materials or use them on someone else's job. Nope! He needs the money asap or he would call one of his "buddies" at the county and have us turned in. Now I asked him for what, he says no permits, I explained that permits would be pulled once we are settled on a bid. This was for electrical work, all the while he is insisting that he install an alarm system, with cameras that he would monitor. I was pretty sure he was setting the place up so he could come rob us one day. His business card was two sided, vevo electric on one side and the locksmith on the other. The calls late night kept coming, it was like he would get drunk and then want to call me and shake me down for money. I eventually had to report him and his license to the county to stop him hounding me. Overall a very traumatic experience that I wish I had of not even become part of.

Showed him the key -nothing fancy, just a regular Chevy key on a 2007 usually a quick 20-30$ for anyone to do, even a newbie. Didn't need to be programmed and if it did I said I'd take care of it afterwards on my own, just a required a quick cut. I even brought a blank in-case they had no stock. He became argumentative, and said he needs to ask his technician Will. Well ofcourse, Will wasn't available. Furthermore, he mentioned that he only knows how to cut the keys on older cars and houses. My key was nothing different. Offered to show him on his own machine, then he realized his upcharge scheme wouldn't work. I wanted to entertain what price point he was at after speaking to Will as I've gone to many locksmiths before for much more expensive and involved work. I also read his previous Google reviews on where the owner pulled a bait and switch on-prices to unsuspecting customers. Knowing he's was the owner, I asked him if this is a new business, or if he's been doing it for only a few years. No response, so I opted to not get the work done. He never offered a price. Entertaining ...35+ years in business and your dishonest. You can't cut a regular key, or was it all about "up charging" customers who don't know any better. People are smarter than you think.
