Dennis was amazing. I locked myself out of my home and was trying to find someone. I had previously locked myself out before and learn that it was a scam business. Dennis is the real deal. He was very quick to arrive and unlocked my doors fairly quickly. I am very pleased and fingers crossed I won't be locking myself out again but will definitely be recommending his service to others who may need it. read more

Just like the business name, he was quick to answer his phone and arrived quickly. I needed a mailbox lock replaced since I lost the key and he was able to do it in about 5 minutes. So quick! His price was significantly lower than another nearby competitor. I highly recommend giving him a call if you need a locksmith. read more

Quick Respond in deed. Dennis was very professional and fast. Same day service at a great price. Definitely recommend his service.

We used this company to change locks on my wife's deceased mother's house after we evicted her tenant. He was late getting there which kept the sheriff deputies waiting. When he did get there he was able to do the work but one of the doors he did still won't stay closed. read more

Locked my keys in the trunk at 6am . Called and he was there promptly for service. You

Due to theft of my purse and car keys I needed to have my car re-programmed ASAP and the door key cylinder re-keyed also because I have no garage. Dennis answered the phone when I called in the evening and we discussed my issue, he had me contact him again the next morning so we could proceed. He was prompt, available, and very expert at taking care of the problem. His communication was very good and let me know when the key fob he ordered for my car was available. I needed him to take care of the locks on my front door of my house also and he was excellent in his service. I highly recommend Quick Respond Locksmith for any needs you may have. I received excellent service and communication and his prices are probably right in line with what's expected for this kind of service. read more

So disappointed with this service. I had two keys made because my car hey broke. Was charged $80 a key Ana neither of the keys worked properly. Called him back and asked him to check them and he basically told me that's it's not his problem if they need to Replace the battery and that need to Go buy another Battery ...... really I just paid you $80 pero key and you can't give my function key... read more

We called because our lock was broken and there was also a key stuck inside. We were quoted $120 to "take the key out AND fix the lock," but when he got there he said he couldn't fix the lock. He still said it was $120 to take the key out. If you can't fix it, shouldn't the price be cheaper? FYI, if your company records phone calls, check it please. This is really unacceptable. read more

My door jammed at home a week ago and we had to enter and exit through the garage. The homeowners are out of town and said they could fix it when they return (WTH, that's almost 2 weeks. A week from today). It was way too inconvenient to wait so I decided to call a locksmith today afraid of the cost. I was skeptical reading the yelp reviews which praise them soooo much for their service, and the yelp reviews were short and some seemed copied like it was already written (no ones that great yanno). The reviews were right on...I called and Dennis picked up on the first ring (he did not identify himself as Dennis), he said he could come out now and it all seemed too quick and easy making me nervous enough that I forgot to ask for an estimate by phone. Dennis said he would be here in 20 minutes, and arrived about 20 minutes later calling to confirm he was at the right address. He wasn't very personable, but was definitely about the job which worked for me. (I asked him his name and gave him mine as he was working to make it more personable) He told me the whole lock would have to be replaced and that the lock was expensive and interconnecting. He changed the lock in about 10 minutes telling me it would be 90. I'm very grateful for the service and would recommend them. One thing I want offered and didn't even ask for was a receipt, and he took the expensive lock. I do have his cell number and we communicated via text and he apologized. I will be going by the business to get a receipt and grab that expensive lock he took with him tomorrow to make sure I'm not charged for anything by the homeowners. (Hope I get the receipt and lock he removed with as little hassle as it took for him to replace the lock). Cheers for great service!!!! read more

Quick Respond Locksmith - Thats the van that made my day. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Hayward, California

Dennis, the very cool lock picking master, came to my rescue. I lock myself out or in somewhere maybe once a month. This time, I didn't have a spare or a way of breaking in. He was respectful of my feeble and terrible attempts of picking my own lock. Dennis and the rescue truck arrived within 15 minutes of my call. And before I could explain anything, he had the door unlocked with the magic tools. In my distress, I forgot to ask how to pay. It was $65 cash for opening the lock. You better believe that I'll be calling them again. I just hope they have a frequent buyer rewards program. read more

Locked my keys in my Fremont townhouse on Sunday afternoon. Quick check on Yelp and found this services From call to service just over an hour. Friendly and quick. Pricing was great. Take note that they only except cash and checks. Would highly recommend them for price, customer service and speed. read more

Dennis came within one hour as promised. Fixed or installed everything at a reasonable price. I'd recommend the business.

I needed to get 2 deadbolts rekeyed, I called on a Wednesday at 2pm and was able to schedule an appointment next day at 11am. Through text messages, we were able to stay connected as Dennis notified he was on his way. The actual rekeying only took 15 mins and had no issues. Very friendly and fast service. read more

My boss was quoted $45 just to program a 2017 Dodge Ram key fob. When he called back the company changed the price to $80. He still needed the service so I drove his truck to the business. After 5 minutes of programming the key fob WE provided, the guy says it's going to be $120. I wasn't involved with the original conversation about the price so I gave him $100 because that's all I had on me. Then I had to drive to an ATM to get another $20 bucks. I told my boss the story and he called the guy. The guy apologized and said " I didn't know it was you" he also said he would give us or $40 back. Be careful with this company. This is unfair business practice. read more

We called Dennis to fix our storm door that got jammed. He came and tried to fix it by taking out the whole parts of the knob and key system, hammering, and denting the equipment. Didn't replaced the part, but charged us $100 cash only. Several days later, it got jammed again. We called Dennis, hoping he could look at it without charging us again. Only to find out that there's no guarantee on his work since he charged us $100 only to open the door without fixing the cause. He wanted to charge us money again just to unjam the door. I told him we can't keep paying him just to open the door for us without him really fixing it and as he said himself, there's no guarantee on his work. He also raised his voice on me. Am truly dissatisfied with his service. read more

I rarely leave reviews for things let alone negative ones but I would want someone warning me before using this service, so here I am. My experience was the same as Pilar S. below. The general attitude of the man who comes by is dismissive and appears to want to leave as soon as possible. During our first interaction, I figured he might be having a bad day so I let it go, but the second interaction was much of the same. Frankly, I'm surprised that anyone would say he was friendly. The most important part: the physical key he made did not work and refused to refund me, even a partial. His words were, "no locksmith anywhere will guarantee the key will work." So he kept my money, waved his hand and told me to buy a new key. TL;DR Not only was his attitude unprofessional and disrespectful, he didn't get the job done and refused to do anything to help the situation. Unfortunately, low marks all around. Will update if anything changes. Edit: I made the mistake of assuming that he tested the key on the door and I should have double checked. That is on me. However, what I wrote stands. There are other locksmiths that guarantee their keys will work. This is not one of them. read more

I lost the only key to my 95 Jeep wrangler and every other locksmith was telling me they would have to remove my steering column and it would cost $350 dollars! Well then I called Quick Respond Locksmith and they quoted me $140. They replaced my key in less than a half hour and didn't have to remove my steering column. I will forever be using this company and will always refer them! Thank you Quick Respond read more

Got locked out of my car last night. Car key somehow got unhooked from my keychain. I live near by so decided to walk home and deal with it in the morning. Called Dennis around 7am, told him I just needed to get my car unlocked and all I needed was my car to be unlocked. I gave him my general location and he gave me about 15 to 20 mins ETA. I texted him a near by address and waved him down to where my car was parked. He unlocked the car within 5 mins or so. Price was fair. He came earlier than expected and he was quick. Would definitely call again if needed. read more

The latch on our keyed master closet door broke and we were locked out of our own closet. My car keys and purse were in there as well. How frustrating!! We tried every method on the internet with no luck so we finally found Quick Response on Yelp. Dennis answered the phone himself and was at house within minutes. He charges $65 for daytime lockouts and $80 for evening. Worth every penny! Very friendly and professional. I'm so happy we called him. read more

Good work. Was open in the early morning. Decent pricing. Happy with my new key. I recommend him. Programmed my car in a good time frame.

I needed to re-key my doors, so on a Sunday morning I quickly Yelp-ed for locksmith in the area. Quick Respond was the number one to pop out, so I gave a call for a quote. The quote was comparable to the other high-rankers in Yelp. Since this one seems to have the most number of positive reviews, I decided to go with Quick Respond. True to its name, Quick Respond responded very quickly. Within few minutes he showed up and re-keyed everything smoothly. Definitely will recommend to my friends in the area!! read more

Andale! ¡Andale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Yii-hah! as my friend Speedy Gonzalez would say. Dennis, the owner must be related cuz damn!!!...he was super fast getting out here. 15mins as stated. After a few drinks my neighbor locks himself outa his house. I hate when that happens. After 6 calls to various locksmiths, Dennis was the only one that answered the phone and was able to help on this early Friday nite. Extremely reasonable honest to goodness rates...especially for after hours weekend work. Im getting his number tattoo'd on my arm for when I cant find my secret hidding spot with the spare key!! read more

I have never used a locksmith before until today. My front door lock has been acting up: hard to turn, seems to be jamming, not retracting all the way, etc. It's been like that for a few months now and I had been putting it off since I wasn't sure what needs to be done (a new lock?).. Anyway, I don't know much about locks and so I called this place and the gentleman answered right away. I explained the situation and he said he would be able to stop by to look at it. I was happy since it was a Saturday and it was stuck even more the night before so now, I am motivated to get it fix ASAP. Two hours later, he came by and looked at my lock and knew instantly what needs to be done (needed to re-key it). He quickly went to work. Upon completion, I asked if he would also put a peep hole in for me since I didn't have one. He checked his inventory and had one available and went right on and installed it for me. He didn't charge me that much more (on top of the original job) so I was very grateful. Overall, he was very profession, friendly, politie, seem honest and even helped me cleaned up. He made the experience pleasant and positive and the charges were reasonable so I was very happy. I defintely would call him again for future lock needs. BTW, before I called and got a hold of him, I also placed another call to another locksmith and maybe this other guy doesn't work on the weekends because he hasn't returned my call. At any rate, I am glad Quick Respond Locksmith responded quickly and did a great job! Overall, bravo for providing great customer service, being professional, polite yet friendly respectfully and for being responsive, honest and reasonable!! read more

Being locked out of your house at 10:30p after simply taking the garbage out is horrible. I had my keys yet they weren't working. I called my brother who has a key to my house and his wasn't working either. Thankfully Quick Respond Locksmith was very responsive and knowledgeable. They changed out the lock quickly and were very reasonable priced. Not a soul wants to be sitting outside their home at 10:30p so I was glad they got to me in 15min. read more

Answered call and unlocked my room in less than an hour. Much appreciated as I locked the keys in the room. Thanks!

Here are the top reasons to go to this dude (Dennis): 1. Other places charge at least 150% more than this guy. 2. If you have a car that is 2002 and Up (the keys that have computer chips in it) he has the machine to do it. Dealership charges around double this guy charges. 3. He has the MOST flexible hours ever. Some Dealerships don't even have guys in working on keys on Sundays. Some locksmith does not open on Sundays, but he does! 4. He is on-time and really responsive. (Even on a lazy Sunday!) Bonus points: He already had prior engagements (He had a wedding to go to), but he STILL came out for me to help me out. You can tell this guy is doing it to help you out & not for the money. Great guy! read more

I called this locksmith and he told me that he would be at my house in 30 minutes. He showed up after 30 minutes and parked in the driveway after I asked him not to because the driveway belongs to the residents in front of my house. He spent about 10 minutes trying to unlock the door and couldn't unlock the door. He was able to reach the door latch and turn the knob. I would have done this on my own if I had the tools. He still charged me $75. I also had to write a check because he wouldn't accept debit. read more

The locksmith guy came in on time and was very efficient. The only thing I would say is based on the companies Yelp page, they accept credit cards. I had to walk to the store to get cash for the locksmith. Rates are reasonable, and I would use again if needed. read more

It was 7:40pm on a Saturday night, I had to go to work and couldn't leave my house because the lock had shifted in the door and it wouldn't even catch or stay closed. I called and was told a tech would be right out, I had just hung up from calling in late for my shift and the tech was already at my house. He got right to it, assessed my problem, and fixed it all in under an hour. I didn't even have time to stress and my problem not only was solved but now the door closes and locks better than ever! There is a reason this company has such a great rating and reviews! They are fast, reliable and affordable! read more

This Tuesday morning at 8am, my friend in Hayward locked himself out of his own car while we were talking. We called this place at 8:55 AM, and the door was opened/keys retrieved at exactly 9:23 AM. Quick, professional service. We mentioned the Yelp discount and got only a 16% discount, but that was still better than the other options we explored (like buying a AAA membership for a locksmith). They also accept credit cards, in case you're wondering. read more

I called quite a few locksmiths to do a small job for us, and many quoted much more over the phone than Dennis did. He was very straight forward and seemed fair in his pricing. He gave me an amount immediately, and came over the very next day. While the cost was more once he came out and looked at the job, it seemed very fair, and still far less than the other people quoted on the phone (chances are their estimates would have also been more once they arrived!). He did leave for an extended period in the middle of the job, but it wasn't a big deal, as we were around the house. I'm definitely a fan of Dennis and would recommend him to others looking for locksmiths in the East Bay. read more

Called Dennis and asked for a quote to rekey my door lock. The cost was $75 and he came within 7 minutes and completed the job with 15 minutes. It was quick, efficient, no hassle, and done! I wanted to change the key lock for a while so this was a load off my mind. Thanks, Dennis! read more

Quick Respond came out and fixed our front door deadbolts and adjusted things so they easily closed. I called Dennis and he arrived within 20 minutes, quickly surveyed the lock situation, and came up with a plan to fix things. Dennis is very knowledgeable, and extremely reasonable when it comes to his prices. A would-be thief tried to steal my 2002 Ford F350, and broke the lock cylinder. I got the replacement cylinder, and Dennis had to drill out the old damage cylinder, re-keyed the new one, and installed it an hour. Charged me $90, and I tipped him $10. He was extremely punctual too! read more
