I'm pretty generous with my stars, but this place absolutely deserved it! My traveling partner and I had a free day to do whatever and we decided on taking the tour here. Cormac was our guide, and he was fantastic! They brewery was a really cool tour, and was only about an hour total time. We visited Teelings a few weekends ago on one of the many rainy Sundays we've experienced so far this summer. We had ordered our tickets online and arranged the our tour time in advance, but you can also purchase tickets upon our arrival. Our tour was led by Alex. He gave us a little history about the brewery and let us know what to expect. Over the next 15 minutes he walked us through the brewery and educated us on the distillation process, as well as the nuances during the aging process that makes Teelings unique. We actually got to see the massive copper distillation tanks where this magical liquid of theirs is triple distilled. At the end of the tour was the main event...the tasting! You can choose between the standard €14 that includes one whiskey and a cocktail; their €20 Trinity tasting, which as it sounds includes three specialty whiskeys; or the €30 Single Malt tasting which also gives you a flavour of three whiskeys. I highly recommend the tour and going with the Trinity Tasting; which led to me purchasing a bottle of the Single Grain whiskey. Solid 5/5...both my dad and I loved it. Don't assume you're too cool since you've already visited Dublin before ... this tour is worth it, even for seasoned travelers. Especially when you buy the "Dublinpass" and it's free and you bypass the entire line and try the excellent whiskey. Tour is well done, high quality, and keeps you entertained the whole time. I don't know anyone who wouldn't enjoy this epic tour. I mean, when's the next time you're going to drink the freshest Whiskey and learn so much! The team there is top notch and passionate shout their trade. Recommend buying the "Dublinpass" online first. Gets you a free ticket to the tour, and you can pay a small charge to upgrade your tour to the more expensive whiskeys to taste. Nice!! read more

Sadly I cannot remember the girl that guided us on our journey but I do know she was from Waterford. The only other tour that I enjoyed as much as this was at Anchor Brewing in San Francisco. This is the only working distillery in Dublin so if you want hands on then go here. The staff are energetic and enthusiastic and I hope they don't loose that spirit. The tour takes 30 min as you meander through the history process and tasting. The smells are wonderful and the copper stills are simply art I their own right. We opted for the 30e tasting which is their top priced ticket and represents their stock very well. Nice gift shop at the end as all tours must end in the gift shop. We got a bottle of their small batch aged in rum casks and some mason jars. I don't often give 5 stars but this place feels right and it's nice to support a local business that have invested their passion money and enthusiasm. It also helps that their product is very tasty. Finally they have a coffee shop serving pastries etc on the ground floor. read more

Rounded out my many tour trips with this wonderful place. I had to wait for my tour but was able to look around a cute flea market next door. The place was well done, from the clean look, to the cute cafe to the great gift shop. The owner Mr. Teeling started our tour, as he said he likes to be there Sunday's and finished off by asking me if I would like my bottle signed. Walked around the craft market and tried and bought some lovely products like cookies from cookies & co, salmon from Hanlon's, cheese from MilkCo and rocky road from MUD. Came here on a recommendation from some locals, and they were correct. You are not going to have a 30 minute walk around an old factory, instead you get to see a small/micro distillery at work. You get to see the actual tanks, feel the warmth of the tanks, see the distillation process for about 20 minutes, than you get to taste the whiskey. The tour was nice, the whiskey was good but the way that the tour guide treated the tour group and the employees answered our questions was top notch. After the tour we decided to get more drinks, and conveniently they have their own bar where you end the tour. Everyone that worked there was super cool, and nice. Nice little gem. read more

I did this tour as part of Culture Night. I feel like it's worth mentioning that I found out about it on the Culture Night website where it clearly stated tours needed to be pre-booked, as other reviews seem to be saying this wasn't mentioned anywhere. Maybe it wasn't made clear enough but this would be the fault of the Culture Night organisers rather than Teelings so it's quite unfair to give a poor review on this basis. I'm not a big whiskey drinker myself but went with a whiskey fan and we both really enjoyed the tour. Straight away we got handed a tasty whiskey cocktail - a great start! Our guide gave us a history of the Teelings brand before leading us through the process whereby they produce the whiskey, explaining what all the different equipment did at each stage. He was knowledgable about all the processes and answered any questions people had well. Finally we got to sample one of the whiskey they produce. We then also made a trip to the bar where I had another cocktail, also really tasty, and where you can also try any of the other whiskeys. The tour is short and simple, but covers everything you want to know and everyone we spoke to working there seemed to know their stuff. The only minor disappointment was that the cafe was closed that evening so we couldn't try the Teelings ice-cream! Would recommend a visit though, particularly if you're a whiskey buff. read more

Very cool to see the history of whiskey in Dublin and the rebirth right here at Teeling. The tour was affordable and included some tastings. There were different options for tasting that were included at the end of the tour. If you are an amateur whiskey drinker like myself I recommend going with the first tour option that includes the cocktail, less intense than straight whiskey. I enjoyed the tour and drinks and was especially blown away by their attention to two wheelchair bound individuals on our tour. The whole tour was accessible and they had set up a wheelchair height table for tasting. Awesome to see that! read more

I first went to Teeling for a Yelp event, and have since gone back! The tour is pretty good, you have a very knowledgeable tour guide explaining you the history of Teeling and also the whiskey making process (are you listening, Guinness?) and also ready to take your questions. Of course, the whole thing comes to life during the Whiskey tasting, and there's nothing like having an expert right next to you to ask whatever comes to mind, and to give you tips on how to best savor the whiskey as well. But the Teeling experience doesn't end with the tour, like I said above I have since gone back. And I have enjoyed both their cocktail bar and also their coffee shop in the bottom floor. And every once in a while they have cool events and small markets going on there as well, so it's well worth following them. read more

On our last day we visited the Teeling Whiskey Distillery. We were told the staff is professional and the tour was the best Whiskey tour in Ireland. They let me in although I was wearing my Jameson baseball cap LOL. The presentation was professional and informative. We learned about the history, the process firsthand, and even about the family. This is the best tour we have been on and highly recommend you visit here even if you aren't a whiskey fan. The wife and I signed the wall. Quite a unique distillery, particularly since it's located in Dublin. Very friendly staff, interesting way of putting the tour together and loads of information on Irish history that goes beyond just whiskey. The tasting itself was very well thought of. It was nice to be able to enjoy both the tour and the tasting without feeling rushed. The place isn't massive, but because it is well-organised and well-run, it didn't feel crowded at any point. The whiskey selections are very nice as well. After the tour, you definitely find yourself more educated in whiskey appreciation and the understanding of the craft in both a scientific and artistic perspective. This family owned distillery was basically "restarted by the current generation of the family" it was very interesting to learn about how prohibition in the United States drastically impacted the business model of all the local distilleries. The space is modern and spacious and the tour informative. the tasting was leisurely and we got lots of information about the three whiskeys we tasted. Absolutely excellent, educational, and fun experience! We had Eve as our tour guide and she did a great job describing all the details of the distillery process, answering our questions, and talking about the history of whiskey in Ireland and globally. The tour takes you through all steps of distillation, showing you their equipment, and at the end they talk about casks and barrels. We also finished with a tasting. There are three options for this: small batch & cocktail (really tasty), Trinity (3 whiskey sampler), and the last one with premium whiskeys. I would say the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the tour and whiskey. The basic sample is €15 and Trinity is €20. Now, something to note--I am not a big whiskey person, but what I tried here was very good, fruity, and smooth. I even asked Eve for her opinion on what kinds of whiskeys to look for in the future and her advice was very helpful. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, from the reception to tour guides to bartenders to gift shop. We left incredibly satisfied, a bit whiskey happy, and with a recommendation for lunch at a nearby pub, Arthur's. Highly highly recommend! We took the Teelings tour on a Friday. Our tour leader, Jessica, was very informative. The tour cover the whole process from grain to pot still. There are several options/prices for the tour. The difference lies in the samples served. I think that at the tasting point Teelings should give people the option to upgrade. The middle and top tasting options were generous, and Jessica was very good at pointing out the differences in taste and color. read more

We went to every distillery in Dublin and this was my favorite by far. Cormac was a delightful guide and is very knowledgeable. This tour is done in small groups and doesn't have the rushed, "cattle call" feeling of the others. My husband upgraded to the single malt flight and really enjoyed it. I added an Irish coffee and it was wonderful. When Teelings becomes available in my area we are making the switch. read more

This was a badass distillery. The tour was super awesome, and Rob did an amazing job as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the process, product and was able to answer some more technical questions I had as I am a brewer from the U.S. The tasting after the tour was superb - by far the best Irish whiskey I have tried. The gift shop is great, and you can even fill your own bottle out of either a sherry or rum cask! The production area looked like they spared no expense on equipment, and they distill the product three times - making the product smooth and top notch. The wonderful smells inside also reminded me of my college shining days ;-). The Irish coffee was only €5 addition to the tour price and was the best one I've ever had. I highly recommend going here if you're visiting Dublin. read more

Never heard of Teeling before my visit to Ireland. Found this distillery by accident. It's smaller and not as fancy as the other bigger names but I like the more intimate tour of the distillery with tour of actual process and not a likeness of the process. Also the whiskey is very good. I became of fan of the company from this tour. Warning the Pountin (may have spelled this wrong) will knock you off your seat. read more

Teelings have done an amazing job with there new distillery and tour. Firstly the building looks great, the interior is so raw and fresh. Also, there is a great cafe (serving 3fe coffee) that passers-by can use which makes the distillery feel like part of the square. The tour is done the way tours of distilleries/breweries should be done, you visit a functioning operation and see stuff being made! The tour guide (I think Méabh I think...) was excellent, giving a concise and interesting introduction to the history of whiskey in Dublin before moving on to a tour of the operation. The distillery itself is small, but I think that is a good thing for a tour as you can see all the operations in a row and how they fit together. It is very interactive, you can physically touch most of the pieces of equipment and have a good look inside. No Whiskey is actually matured in Dublin, but you are shown a few casks and given the low-down on the importance of the maturing process, different types and sources of casks and how Teelings use them in developing certain flavour profiles. The most important part is the tasting, there is a €14, €20 and €30 option when you first arrive. I went with the Trinity (€20) which gets you a sample of Teelings' three main offerings; single grain, single malt and small batch. I loved them all and really enjoyed the tasting session. I liked them so much I bought a bottle of one on the way out (I'll be back for the other two). Actually, I must just go and pour myself a Teelings......... read more

I was on a flight back to Dublin and at the airport liquor store they had Teeling Whiskey, so I picked up a bottle to give it a try. I was happy I did as it turned out to be a very good whisky. So, when the distillery opened up in Dublin for tours, I jumped at the first chance I had to take a tour. The tour itself isn't anything new if you have visited other distilleries. They walk you through the process and the history of the company. The bonus to this one is that they are currently the only active distillery in Dublin. You can also do a Jamison one, but that is actually distilled in Middleton. Speaking of Jamison, when you do a tour of that distillery only a few people get to sample whiskey. At Teeling everyone in tour was able to sample. Afterword we stayed for a few drinks at the bar and samples a few of the signature cocktails, which were delicious, and a bit expensive. read more

They bring you through a short history of distilling whiskey in dublin , then into the actual working distillery which is fab! the smell is amazing. You get to see the 3 giant copper distillery (i dont know what there called - copper distilling things) their very impressive. After you find about the barreling and ageing process then finally onto the most important part. The tasting!! you get a cocktail and a straight up whiskey. Your brought through the tasting points and what to look for in whiskeys. The tour guide was hit and miss he went through different points of being charismatic and informative to seeming like he wasnt interested in what he was talking about. and although thats not the end of the world its just not a polished as the tours in the whiskey museum or the jamison distillery. I still wouldnt knock it though!! was a great way to kill a hour or so and I did very much enjoy it ! read more

Excellent personal tour of Dublin's only (currently) operating whiskey distillery. There is a choice of tastings at the end. I preferred this over the Irish Whiskey Museum (however that was also pretty good). Also preferred it over the Jameson whiskey tour (again, also pretty good). Cafe inside serves good food. Dublin distillery... What's not to love! A massive great addition to the Dublin culture scene, this place provides a great tour which gives some insights into the history of Telling and what I loved most about the tour was the focus on the local area and it's importance to this legacy of Teeling. The tour finishes in their bar area which is a large open space which is great for unwinding with a whiskey (or beer, wine, cocktail) after the tour. I've had the pleasure of also being here at 2 private event and I just love the venue space, it's unique and i like it! You also have of course, the merchandise corner which comes with all sorts of memorabilia plus what ever whiskey fan wants; a selection of Teeling whiskeys for sale with some vintage bottles available, it's also a great place to visit and pick up that special bottle for that special person. They will forever love you for it! There is a cafe here also, so if hanging my the bar area upstairs in not your thing, you can hang out at the cafe and have yummy coffee and servings of delicious cakes/sweet treats. Why not 5 stars, unfortunately at my last event here... 2 members of the bar staff were so abrupt and rude on many occasions during the night; whilst the majority of staff here are fabulous, one in particular left me feeling a little angry, her eye rolling and face pulling really got to me... If you don't want to work there, don't! If you don't like catering for parties, don't do that shift! I should have taken her name; but yep, a little brush up on service needed there! read more
