The staff was very nice and I had a private tour with Luke. He explained the history and really went into detail about the facility and historical context. My wife and I were in Ireland for our 13th anniversary as we were married in St. Patrick's Day. We visited a few distilleries in town and happened upon this jewel. It has a very unique look from the outside with beautiful landscaping and lights. The inside is very clean and organized with great music playing in the background. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a tasting and customized drinks. The bartender was very informative and personal. We had great conversations and he made a few drink samples for My wife to taste so she can find what her palate desired. We stayed maybe 1 hour and headed back to our hotel. This distillery is not available in the states so I purchased a bottle to bring back with me and enjoy. I would definitely recommend coming here but I would come earlier than we did as it was almost closing time. read more

We had no initial plans on stopping here on our visit but we were glad that we did. It was one of our most favorite distilleries and experiences that we have had. The distillery is housed outside of an old Guinness Power House, with architecture showing its age of an time that's past. Yet, within this older building is housed a new breath. Our experience was something completely different from other tours of different distilleries. Yes, you still get the tour of how its made and the massive boilers and vats. What sets this apart from others was the tasting experience. We had the opportunity to create our own cocktail based on our personal profile. I gotta say this was the nicest looking distillery I went to in all of Dublin. Bartenders and staff here in general are super chill. It also seemed like a lot of locals hung out here and there even 2 groups here doing like a weekly hang of some sort. Tried the whiskey finished in a Guinness barrel and it was pretty good. This is a 10/10 experience! I did the cocktail making class which was about $25 USD and it was worth every penny!! The tour guide was amazing, funny and interesting. He took you around the distillery and told you interesting facts such as why did the term "save by the bell" become popular. It's important to pay attention too because he will ask a question later on in the tour and will give the person with the right answer a free drink. During the tour you taste whiskey, then you go to a class rom and create a cool drink. You also can pick based upon your flavor profile which drink you want to make- that was so fun. Afterwards they take you downstairs to their bar and give you another drink- I'm telling you it was with every penny! The ambiance of the restaurant is vibey with a very modern take on a very old industry. When in Dublin I will definitely be coming back! read more

We decided to check out Roe& Co Distillery after a long day of exploring. We arrived too late to do an actual tour. We opted for a tasting and drink at the bar. I tried the Pina Horchata.... I was delightful! I'm lactose intolerant so I happy to learn this drink was made with Oak Milk. This drink was made using Roe & Co 106 as well as some ingredients. Can you say sneaky good . The tasting included 3 of their whisky's. 106 proved to be the favorite and I had to purchase one for the road. If in Dublin you definitely have to stop by and check out Roe & Co. read more

One of the best experiences we had while in Dublin/Ireland! Our friend had just visited and told us to do the flavor experience here instead of the experience at Guinness StoreHouse. They give you a quick tour of the distillery as well as the history which was fascinating and then sit you down to make your own cocktail based on your preferred flavor profile. Our guide was great and all the cocktails we had were delicious! At the end of the tour, they bring you down to the bar/tasting room for another free refreshing cocktail as well as anything else you want to order! The gift shop is also very cute. We did the GUINNESS STOREHOUSE EXPERIENCE + ROE & CO DISTILLERY combined option for only €45 per person and I can't stress enough how perfect this was! The Guinness storehouse experience was self-guided, and interesting. We enjoyed the tasting experience followed by a free pint in their sky bar with great 360 degree views of Dublin. However, the Roe & Co whiskey tour was one of the highlights of our entire trip! The distillery is just around the corner and our tour guide was fun & engaging. What a treat! My husband and I did the premium tour on a rainy week day in November. We were the only ones on the tour so we got the royal treatment. Also if you go on a week day, you can smell the wonderful aromas as you walk through the distillery area. The bar in the back is excellent with amazing cocktails. Yes they may not have the fancy animation, or the room where you explore scents, but they make it up with their tasting room, souvenir store; and the bar. I recommend eating a couple of hours ahead of your tour to make sure you are ready. The cocktail mixing tour is honestly your money's worth. You get to mix your perfect drink ratio based on how much you want to pour in the graduated cylinder. They give you a glass with a lovely cube of ice which you mix and enjoy at the bar at the end. Luke kept everyone engaged, which included a final mixed cocktail in a small group setting that allowed us to meet people from a variety of areas. Overall, one of the best small tours. Coming from someone who doesn't like whiskey (not really even a little bit...), I knew a tasting was something I just had to do while in Ireland. If you are looking for an intimate tour where you get to learn more about the alcohol making process and be hands on, this is your place. As a comparison -- across the street is a beer company Roe & Co's parent company owns. You may have heard of it? .... While the tour of this factory "Guinness" was very well done and I learned a lot (& gained an appreciation for the beer), it is as if you are being herded around like cattle. Extremely crowded and no tour guides. For the same price, you can walk across the street and get that whiskey tour you can bring up later on to annoy your friends. In this tour, you learn all about how whiskey is made in an intimate setting (there were only 3 of us in the tour group), learn how to make a cocktail hands-on, and get a complimentary cocktail made by lovely bartenders in a lovely space. Everything here is so beautiful and clearly created with intention. The people who work there are the nicest you'll meet in Dublin. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and learn all you can. The architecture & design of the experience and space is beyond impressive, and the whiskey isn't too bad either (tasted like fine whiskey to me!) Huge shoutout to KARL (with a "K"... I gottchu Karl) -- he is probably the best tour guide I've ever had. He's so excited and knowledgable about the process, he's hilarious, and he's so sociable. He got to know the group so well and went out of his way to even find us after, talk through our trip, and give us other recommendations for things to do. I've been on many distillery tours and this is top of my list. Their attention to detail in all aspects of the experience was top notch (the overall brand, cocktail menu, aprons, bar and glassware). The tasting followed by a mixology lesson was so much more in depth than most distilleries are offering.
