Walked from downtown to here which is quite nice and found this place as a unique and modern twist of the building. Inside is quite big, spacious and well organized. Lower level is where you sign up, check in for touring and 2nd level is for tasting and shopping are. Whiskey is quite nice, strong and well make. Tried several type of whiskey, a cocktail and of course the Irish coffee. All are just fantastic, love it here.

As much as Jameson is synonymous with Dublin, you would think they take up several blocks of downtown space...however, this distillery is tucked away on Bow Street in the Smithfield area of the city. It is a little hike on foot from city centre, but on a good day, it is a nice walk that is well worth the reward! The distillery is absolutely gorgeous. The outside if classic Irish infrastructure, then you walk inside and are transported into a modern, rustic, elevated and exciting space dedicated to all things Jameson! We purchased tickets for our guided tour and tasting ahead of time, and I highly recommend you doing the same. Our tour started with a quick introduction to things, then up the stairs we went to the Daily Grog where we got to choose our cocktail, and of course, I went with the Jameson Ginger! From there the tour started where we got to see the inner working of the process, including the ingredients along with a sensory station for tastes, smells, etc...The final tasting allowed us to sample a few different varieties of Jameson, including one that was only available on site. The tour was informative and fun. Our tour guide was fun, engaging, entertaining and an overall joy to wander around and connect with. Clearly a very passionate person about Jameson! After the tour, we wandered directly into the gift shop where we of course picked up a few pieces of swag. Immediately following that, we bellied up to the gorgeous bar downstairs for a final cocktail before heading back out. Overall, Jameson Distillery was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Dublin, and I highly recommend it!

The actual whiskey making part of the tour is what you would expect to hear from a whiskey tour (not too many different ways to add flair when all whiskeys pretty much start the same). I enjoyed this whiskey more than others in Dublin. I actually brought some back for my brother since he is a big whisky fan! Karoline was an amazing guide. Tucked away behind the Tapped beer bar, The Dingle is a haven for anyone who might want a quiet, welcoming spot to chill out with a whiskey taster or cocktail (or two...or several) after the work day ends. The interior has a warm, comfortable feel to it, and the staff are welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about their inventory, so don't be shy asking them for recommendations. Thanks to a combination of covid and Google (wrongly) listing them as permanently closed, business has gone way down from where it used to be a couple years ago, but I can't emphasize enough that The Dingle is still very much alive, and I'd HIGHLY recommend dropping by during opening hours (which I think are just Thurs/Fri/Sat afternoons right now).

We did not have a tour or anything but grabbed a seat in the visitor center for the distillery and had some pretty great food. The cheese board and pate is awfully great! The staff is also incredibly friendly and super helpful. The whiskey is worth the drive. So VERY worth the drive. I took two bottles back to the states with me. If I get back to Ireland it's one of the few places I will make it a point to return to.
