This was the first of our Whiskey tours in Ireland. Located in an old section of Dublin, the family decided to open the distillery in an old abandoned church. Renovating the Church and turning it into a legal distillery cost over 28 million Euros. The tour itself wasn't great. You can't see the factory but they take you through a series of exhibits. When you buy your tickets you choose the tasting option you want. We were able to taste 4 whisky's. They did offer a good selection and the whiskey master knew a lot about whiskey. We liked them all but could taste subtle differences. My preference is to see the whiskey making process and not have it simply described. They were very nice, the tour simply didn't give me what I expected.

Bernard and John are amazing tour guides at this magic little distillery in beautiful Dublin. I highly recommend the tour and their lovingly crafted whiskies. This is a fantastic experience and only takes an hour.

Loved every min of this tour. the people are great and the tastings was tasty. I did the full tasting. It was so cool to learn that they have a place in Pikeville KY close to where I grew up. I for sure will be stopping by one day. This place has so much history. its a must on your Distillery stops

Set up in a reconstructed church, this place is a really unique experience for whiskey lovers and anyone simply interested in the history of the building. We got the €30 tour that included 5 whiskey tastings plus a bonus tasting of one of their gins, all of which were delicious. The guide was knowledgeable and easy to listen to. The aesthetics of the church were quite beautiful from the appropriately designed stained glass windows depicting the distilling process to the distinctive glass steeple spire. If you love trying new whiskeys and learning about history, I highly recommend setting an hour or two aside for the tour when you're in Dublin.

Being from Kentucky and with Alltech Brewing in Lexington, we couldn't pass up visiting this distillery. So many similarities at this distillery compared to the one here at home. Pearse Lyons really put a lot of money into making his distilleries a success. From the welcome center staff, our tour guide/tasting personnel then to "Spicy" James that works in the gift center...everyone was super friendly. We even got to meet the Master Distiller and talk to him. The history with this particular distillery and it being located in "The Liberties" is something for the books.

This place was amazing! We made the mistake of doing the 3 samples. DO the 5. Really nice whiskeys and gins. And the building is quite interesting too. Definitely schedule a tour.

We did this tour after Jameson and Teeling distillery tours. Loved it for the cause and the reconstruction of the church. The family has invested so much of their money into resurrecting the cemetery behind the church and recovering the history behind it all. The tasting tour was fabulous, beautiful church and the whiskey was excellent. We had Bernard and James as our guides. Highly recommend it not only for the whiskey but the beautiful story behind this Church and the family's conviction to it all. Please visit them!

What a wonderful surprise! We showed up without any booking made in advance. Never mentioned it was for our honeymoon - dave and our guide made it an AMAZING experience! Without giving away too much of the detail, go for the full flight tasting. Worth it. This is a gem and you will not be disappointed. 10/10!

What a unique experience. Pearce Lyons brought his distillery to an old, deconcecrated church.

What a unique experience. This distillery, that was first started in Kentucky by an Irishman, has this new St. James location. It is set in a deconcecrated church that the company has spent much time and money restoring. They are currently at work rehabbing the cemetery that is full of archeological finds and important clues to Ireland's past. Their whiskey was great and they also have a fun that is top notch.

Definitely a great tour, quaint and a lot of history! Plus- the tasting was wonderful! Don't miss out on this!

Definitely get the 5 tastings. The 5th is more than worth it! We had John as our guide and he was great!

The bar outside has the most delicious menu for cocktails. Be careful in the gift shop because you'll want to buy everything. We walked away with 3 bottles of Red Breast whiskey that cannot be bought in the US. Also purchased a beautiful warm jacket.

As much as Jameson is synonymous with Dublin, you would think they take up several blocks of downtown space...however, this distillery is tucked away on Bow Street in the Smithfield area of the city. It is a little hike on foot from city centre, but on a good day, it is a nice walk that is well worth the reward! The distillery is absolutely gorgeous. The outside if classic Irish infrastructure, then you walk inside and are transported into a modern, rustic, elevated and exciting space dedicated to all things Jameson! We purchased tickets for our guided tour and tasting ahead of time, and I highly recommend you doing the same. Our tour started with a quick introduction to things, then up the stairs we went to the Daily Grog where we got to choose our cocktail, and of course, I went with the Jameson Ginger! From there the tour started where we got to see the inner working of the process, including the ingredients along with a sensory station for tastes, smells, etc...The final tasting allowed us to sample a few different varieties of Jameson, including one that was only available on site. The tour was informative and fun. Our tour guide was fun, engaging, entertaining and an overall joy to wander around and connect with. Clearly a very passionate person about Jameson! After the tour, we wandered directly into the gift shop where we of course picked up a few pieces of swag. Immediately following that, we bellied up to the gorgeous bar downstairs for a final cocktail before heading back out. Overall, Jameson Distillery was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Dublin, and I highly recommend it!

Located just steps from Trinity College Dublin, the museum is easy to find and is an easy stop while exploring the area. There is a long, fairly narrow set of stairs to access the entrance, but it is accessible. There's an elevator, and the guide accompanies anyone who prefers it while the rest of the group takes the stairs and meets on the next floor. The pacing was excellent, and while the tour moves from room to room, there are benches available if you'd like to sit during parts of the presentation. The tour moves through a few themed rooms tracing the history of Irish whiskey and ends in a cozy bar. It's both entertaining and informative, touching not only on the craft of whiskey making but also the economics, trade, and history that shaped the industry and Ireland. Our guide, Andrew, was so delightful--engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly someone who enjoys bringing the stories to life. The whole experience takes under an hour and is a nice respite from the bustling crowds outside. And of course, the highlight: tasting several excellent Irish whiskeys at the end. I came away with a better appreciation for tasting than I had before. There's a small gift shop in the area where you purchase your tour ticket, including small merchandise bearing clan crests. Fun, educational, and well organized, the Irish Whiskey Museum turned out to be one of the most enjoyable and unexpectedly memorable stops of our time in Dublin.
