Absolutely loved this! We did the tour and tasting. Our guide, Daniel, was fantastic! He was knowledgable, enthusiastic and engaging. This was our first tour in Ireland and absolutely one of, if not the, best. We hadn't slept at all on the overnight flight over so we needed to stay alert and awake through the day. This certainly got the day rolling for us. It was fun and quite educational. We learned about the overall history of whiskey and specifics of how different whiskies are made. The final stop on the tour was the tasting. We tasted 4 different whiskies ... all delicious. Daniel explained the differences in taste in regards to how they are individually made. We loved this tour. Slainte!

Didn't get to take the tour because of the kids, but the tasting room is a great place to try everything. Their selection is HUGE, and everyone is so knowledgeable and very willing to share what they know. Great gift shop as well - be sure to get some samplers so you can try at home after you sober up. Hope I'll get to take the tour some day.

Landed in Dublin and went straight to the Irish Whiskey Tasting AND the Irish coffee masterclass and it was a great way to start my trip in Dublin. The city was lively for St Patty's and the tastings were very informative. The Irish coffee is definitely all about the quality of the dairy cream. Had a great experience overall. Cheers!

If you're more interested in the facts of Irish whiskey and information about whiskey in general, this tour might be better than a distillery tour. Lots of information available and was interesting the whole time If you book a spot online earlier in the day, there is a discount so I got the premium usually 28 euros for around 23 euros (the price of the standard) Premium you get one more sample (it was the best one to me) and a branded glass to take home!

Visiting the Irish whiskey museum was more of a me thing than a honey thing. I tend to drink whiskey over beer or really any other alcohol other than Mastic liquor, so I was incredibly curious as to the particulars of what went into making it. I loved the tour. I think of all the tours we took during our Europe vacation, it was honestly the most worthwhile. Upon entering the whiskey museum, you're checked in, and lead up a few stairs into the room where they tell you a little bit about the background of why Irish whiskey is distilled three times, why it's called spirits, and the background of why Jameson whiskey became so popular over the others (psssst... It's because of the green bottle). We purchased the basic package so we got to taste three whiskeys. The first (Connacht) was more light and tasted almost like wine, the second (Powers) had more body and was definitely stronger and the third (The Irishman) was a little more harsh. Because we were only in Dublin for the day, we weren't able to purchase anything to bring back home, however we really enjoyed taste-testing the different flavors, and hearing all about the history of whiskey in Ireland. In my opinion the tour is a definite must do, especially if you're seeing the Book of Kells as it's just a couple blocks away.

When in Dublin, this is a must see! The tour was informative and our guide was knowledgeable. He made learning about the history of what came to be Irish Whiskey fun! Definitely worth the time.

Colm was knowledgeable and hilarious!!! I want to come back just for more of his jokes. The whiskey was delicious & stronger than I expected. This is my 4th time Ireland I can't believe I never did this tour before. Definitely a must do.

I loved this tour and so happy I didn't listen to my friend who said it was overrated. Tour guide was not only informative with different fact about how whiskey came to be in Ireland and the original competitive brands but she was also super funny! Theres even a room where you pretend you're in the prohibition area. You also get a tasting at the end. I really only like one of them but I am not really a whiskey person so don't let that deter you. I wish they had had the one I really liked in travel size as I do not check my bags. One of the best things I did in Ireland besides the Cliffs of Moher Tour.

A friend recommended the Irish Whiskey Museum to us and let me tell you, this was one of our favorite things we did while in Ireland! This spot is in the heart of Dublin and on a very busy street so plan to walk or Uber. The tour is super interactive and educational [honestly learned a ton] and you get to try 4 different local whiskey's including our favorite, Powers, which is not exported so you can only get it locally! We did the premium tour which gave us the extra (4th) tasting and a take home Irish Whiskey Museum glass. Our tour guide was super funny and made the whole experience a lot of fun, while still being very informational. Overall, the tour lasted about an hour and you learn a lot about the history of whiskey, which is super fascinating! Definitely recommending this to friends and family who are visiting Dublin!

Tasting pours with bottle for the "bottle your own mix"

We had a great time doing this experience. There's some cheesy parts, but our guide made us laugh. The only negative part of the experience was that we got stuck with a rather large group of boys celebrating a 40th birthday who were very loud and rambunctious; they were disruptive during part of the tasting portion. Also for the "mixing your own whiskey," it's basically just a bottle that you get to pour the left overs of the whiskeys that you try during the tasting part. Not exactly what we expected, especially since we didn't like the majority of the tastings.

If your on a time crunch but still want to do a whiskey distillery/tasting tour...based in the heart of Dublin, I was told that the IWM tour is better than visiting Jameson or Teeling separately. So that's what brought me here... the museum tour gives you an unbiased history of Irish whiskey, tour is about an hr long and learn about single still pots and try blending your own as well. On the classic tour you can sample 3 or for a small fee you can upgrade to premium for 4 tasting and a sample glass which makes for a good souvenir. It's a fact that no one retains any info from a guided tour more than 48hrs (esp. after the amber nectar) and on that logic I just decided to skip the tour and just do a tasting by myself at the bar. Im no whiskey connoisseur, that's not a drink of choice but when in Rome aka Ireland ... I had to try it... Writers Tears... was sweet on the nose, spicy on the palate and Ia smooth finish.. loved it so much I came back 3days in a row. And oh their Irish Coffee is absolutely fantastic as well. The bar has some sort of cozy feel to it and the there was this spot by the window overlooking the streets outside of Trinity college, so perfect absolutely loved it. The gift shop has small bottles to take home and create your own blend which I thought was quite excellent. I highly recommend it!

An amazing attraction. Brien was a fantastic host/guide and the section of whiskey to try was very good. And don't forget to hang out in the pub downstairs after the tour for a pint or another wee dram...

What a fun and informative tour! Our guide was hilarious; I enjoyed his somewhat warped sense of humor!! The tour involved a short video in one room, another had a replica of a still, one had talking pictures and the final room is where we tasted and blended our own creations to take home. I think it was well worth the money spent!

It's definitely worth the price and I'd 100% upgrading to the premium tour for the extra glass and whiskey.

For centuries, it was the headquarters of English (and eventually British) rule in Ireland. In 1684, a large fire destroyed a large portion of the castle. Instead of matching the original Gothic style, most of it was rebuilt using a Georgian style, similar to what you'd find in the French Palace of Versailles! It's quite the contrast. When you visit Dublin Castle, you can choose to explore it in two ways: with a self-guided tour to the state apartments or with a scheduled guided tour that visits the Viking Excavation, the Chapel Royal, and the State Apartments. When you first enter the courtyard, you'll immediately see the newer Georgian architecture in the neat red brick buildings surrounding the square. From the 13th century to the early 20th century, the castle was under British control. It served from being a royal palace and parliament to a prison. Dublin Castle was eventually handed over to General Michael Collins on the 16th of January in 1922. Collins was a soldier and a politician who lead the Irish people through their fight for Independence Dublin Castle plays a huge role in Ireland's history and a walk around the grounds is time well spent. Today the castle is a government complex and tourist attraction. Stroll through the famous Chester Beatty Library if time permits

We met up with our tour guide, Grace, outside of the Trinity College main gated entrance. Overall I enjoyed the tour we had. Grace was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of history of the sights we stopped at: first on the grounds of Trinity College, then through the nearby neighborhood, including Old Parliament and Temple Bar. She also took us to an area close to Temple Bar to discuss Viking settlements, which was neat! It was difficult to hear her for a good amount of the time due to the volume of traffic and the fact our group was on the larger side. I wish that the company might consider this and either make adjustments to group size, look into a portable voice amplifier, or simply have the guide speak in an "outdoor voice." Unfortunately I did not know the area and parked by timed metered parking, so we had to depart the tour early since my meter was expiring! (Oops.) I would recommend the tour, but suggest that you ensure you cozy right up to the tour guide so you don't miss out on any information!

We had Michael driving and Aaron as our guide, and that combo absolutely made the day. Michael somehow got us everywhere in record time without it ever feeling rushed, which meant we had more time at each stop. On a 12-hour day, that matters. Huge credit to him for making the logistics feel effortless. Aaron was the real glue of the experience. He actually knew what he was talking about and didn't just recite facts -- he added personality, humor, and context that made everything stick. When you're spending that long together on a bus, the vibe is everything, and he nailed it. We lucked out with amazing weather at the Cliffs -- cold, but crystal clear visibility. We hit both viewing areas (even with restoration work going on), and it still felt expansive and worth every second. Pictures don't do it justice. Galway was a blast. We had about two hours in the city center, which was enough to explore, grab food, and soak up the energy -- though honestly, I could've stayed all day. The recommendations we got were spot on. The pacing was great, the bus was as comfortable as it realistically can be for a full-day tour, and it never felt chaotic or disorganized. I would 100% recommend this to first-time visitors to Ireland and honestly even to people coming back who want a seamless, well-run way to see the west coast without thinking about logistics. Michael and Aaron -- absolute pros.
