Rock of Cashel
Angela D.

During our stay in Ireland we took two Paddywagon tours, one from Dublin to the Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle and the other from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher. Both tours were wonderful. We loved being able to sit back and enjoy the ride to see some of the famous attractions of Ireland. Our second day with Richard really stood out. He imparted his knowledge of Ireland and was a great story teller.

RICHARD is an icon!!! We had such an incredible trip - so many beautiful sights but also great storytelling throughout. Would definitely do again!

I did two Paddywagon Tours while in Dublin. The first was to Blarney Castle which was incredible and probably the most memorable moment of my entire trip. The second tour was supposed to be to Giants Causeway, but I made a terrible error and got my times confused with another tour I had that week. I showed up an hour after the bus had already left. One of the drivers from the Cliffs of Moher tour went out of his way to contact his supervisor and get me onto his trip so that I didn't lose out. There was no additional charge and they were so kind about my mistake. This gives me a great excuse to go back to Ireland and go back for the Giants Causeway tour!

Gorgeous sights on the way to Giant's Causeway

When we went to Ireland, we did THREE tours with Paddywagon Tours and they were all fabulous. Our first was the Cliffs of Moher day tour, which included a drive along the gorgeous Wild Atlantic Way, a stop at the Burren "baby cliffs" that are a smaller version of the Moher cliffs, and Bunratty Castle which looked straight out of Game of Thrones. The weather was a little rainy and foggy, but it made more mysterious feeling like we were on the moors from an old Bronte novel. We next partook in the Giant's Causeway day tour. We stopped first in the Dark Hedges which stood in for the "King's Road" in Game of Thrones. We drove along the beautiful Causeway Coastal route to Giant's Causeway. The humungous rocks of Giant's Causeway make you feel so small and insignificant in the world! After we hiked around the Causeway rocks, our tour group headed to Belfast to spend about an hour in the capital of Northern Ireland. Lastly, we chose the Blarney Day Tour to kiss the Blarney Stone! We drove through the Golden Vale (gorgeous scenery) to get to our first stop which was the Rock of Cashel which was so breathtaking. We next meandered on over to Cork County where we got to spend a little over an hour to have a quick lunch and a bit of shopping. Our last stop was to Blarney Castle, where our tour included skip the line tickets to get our lips on that stone! The tour guides and bus drivers were all very knowledgeable throughout each of these tours, as well as friendly and engaging on those long bus rides. If you're planning a trip to Ireland (mostly if you're basing yourself in Dublin) I HIGHLY recommend utilizing Paddywagon Tours!

6 Day Tour. All of Ireland: First off... some of the reviews talk about inappropriate talk. Yall. The Irish are equal opportunity offenders. They mess with everyone. Including their own. And it's funny and light hearted. Laugh! It's ok. In fact it's kind of fun Secondly, Lord, the accommodations. I'm not gonna lie here. That's why we do the reviews. We did the B&B option. Read the reviews and honestly went the expect the worst hope for the best philosophy. With the exception of our stay in Belfast, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure the hostile part of our group felt the same way. But our tour guide took care of them late on letting them stay at a B&B at least one of our night. We could tell they appreciated it and knew at a certain level hostile are indeed hostiles for a reason. Thirdly, your tour guide makes or breaks this experience for you. The banter, the consideration for special needs (I went with my 80 year old dad, three 14 year olds, an 18 year old and my husband and I (in our 40's), and the humor. We couldn't have asked for anything better. History, laughter, breath taking views, great camaraderie among our group! It's was a trip of a life time! And I've been three times. We tipped Vincent but not near as much as we wish we could have. If he see this I hope one day he comes to Alabama so we can show him some of the same hospitality from the southern US (Alabama). So happy this business survived the devastation of COVID.

Dirty Tour Bus Tray
Shirley N.

Please be advised that I was recommended to your company by a few friends that hat have been here several times. I went on the tour today to Cliffs of Moher. I'm extremely disappointed in a couple of things. The driver, JJ. he asked our entire tour group if anyone had any complaints to let him know as he dropped us off at Galway. i took a picture of the tray of the seat i was in to send to you. If he wouldn't have asked, i wouldn't have told him. As I Walked off the bus, i let him know about the dirty tray and said it was dirty and gross. (see attached). When we came back he said he couldn't find it so we showed him. he said he could barely tell and have us a baby wipe to clean it.He asked again what we said when we walked out and made a big deal of it. And i told him we care about cleanliness. He proceeded to say Oh my God, and really? And some other choice words as to make fun of it. I told him I took a picture to send you) and that seemed to upset him. He then went to the front of the bus after everyone walked in and announced on the microphone... that we are "special" to give complaints of such things, after he had originally asked for complaints! That we are "lucky" to be on this luxurious bus that has spacious seats and treats because the "regular" paddy wagon buses are basic and do not have this. Still on the microphone statin that we did NOT pay 500 eu for such service for him to clean it and "you know where you can put that!" (on the microphone!) I have been traveling for an extremely long time and have NEVER experienced such disrespect and unprofessionalism. The way he handled this situation was uncalled for! Unprofessional, embarrassing to your company and paying clients, and irrevocably UNACCEPTABLE!!! How dare he say such things to me on a microphone for the whole bus to hear or to me alone period! In addition, he was telling the entire bus tour stories about his orphanage and how he was a troublemaker, eventually talking about alcoholism, and other things that no one on the bus was interested in hearing. He also continuously kept asking for todd, cash, electronically, etc. If he is worth the top, he shouldn't have to ask for it. What kind of people do you hire? 2. The tray was dirty. these buses should be cleaned after every tour. I understand that it is not your company's fault that they get dirty, but should definitely be cleaned, especially after covid. I can guarantee that you would not to put anything on this tray. 3. There was a long beeping noise for hours of this tour bus. He stopped to follow instructions from another one of your employees which extended our drive home and extended the entire tour by an hour. It turned out to be the air conditioner and that was figured out by one of the women on our bus. Do you not test these things on your buses? 4. Your company should have sent an email to the people who purchased the tickets that your restaurant does not take credit cards, cash only, PRIOR to the tour to have been prepared.

Giants causeway

I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could. Our tour guide, Michael was absolutely amazing. Great craic (Americans can say this too, right?), super knowledgeable, made the ride through the country enjoyable, and just overall a pure class man. Driver didn't talk much but was punctual, safe, and kind. We did the tour from Dublin to Belfast and NI. Absolutely beautiful, even with nasty Irish weather. Highly recommend a tour with Paddywagon with Michael.

Watch out at the Molly Malone pick up they skipped this stop for Belfast. Look elsewhere unreliable and wasted a day waiting for a pickup that never showed. Just terrible and they have little concern for the lack Of availability. Phone called and no pick up. Disappointed and going to other tour companies. It was ok in the end.

Guide... 9/10 Itinerary... 10/10 Accommodations... 9/10 This was a great itinerary with a day filled with adventures. Our trip to Cork and Blarney had great stops with lots of great stops to stretch your legs. The weather did not cooperate the later half of the day, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the insides of Blarney Castle. Make sure that you come prepared for any weather because the show will go on! Our guide Sean was incredibly knowledgeable about all things Irish. He provides a wealth of information to help understand the diverse history of this island country.

Michael somehow got us everywhere in record time without it ever feeling rushed, which meant we had more time at each stop. On a 12-hour day, that matters. Huge credit to him for making the logistics feel effortless. Aaron was the real glue of the experience. He actually knew what he was talking about and didn't just recite facts -- he added personality, humor, and context that made everything stick. When you're spending that long together on a bus, the vibe is everything, and he nailed it. We lucked out with amazing weather at the Cliffs -- cold, but crystal clear visibility. We hit both viewing areas (even with restoration work going on), and it still felt expansive and worth every second. Pictures don't do it justice. Galway was a blast. We had about two hours in the city center, which was enough to explore, grab food, and soak up the energy -- though honestly, I could've stayed all day. The recommendations we got were spot on. The pacing was great, the bus was as comfortable as it realistically can be for a full-day tour, and it never felt chaotic or disorganized. I would 100% recommend this to first-time visitors to Ireland and honestly even to people coming back who want a seamless, well-run way to see the west coast without thinking about logistics. Michael and Aaron -- absolute pros.

John is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also warm, funny, and a natural storyteller. Every stop came alive through his humor and the depth of his historical insight. What made the day feel especially memorable was how personal the experience became. John took the time to explain the history behind ALL of my Irish family surnames, weaving fascinating stories that made me feel even more connected to my ancestors. It genuinely felt like having VIP service on the walking tours -- not because it was exclusive, but because John's attention, care, and passion made it feel that way. Kudos as well to our cheerful and incredible driver, Krishna, who kept everything running smoothly and made the journey comfortable and fun. His kindness and upbeat attitude added so much to the day. All together, this wasn't just a tour -- it was an immersive, heartfelt experience. I couldn't recommend this team more highly. If you're lucky enough to have John and Krishna guiding your day, you're in for something truly special. -- Colleen and Todd from Nebraska

He sang a song or 2 along the way but he couldn't answer any of the questions asked and barely spoke. He dropped us at stops going in blindly. He was an older gentleman, so I understand the low energy but perhaps time to hang up his hat. As first timers to Ireland, I chose the Dark Hedges/Giants Causeway/Belfast tour because I was infatuated by photos of the Dark Hedges I saw online. I had no idea it looked NOTHING like it. It was really a waste of a stop. Giants Causeway was nice.. great photo op. It's a long walk downhill, then back up. Luckily, there was a bus that operates both ways for £1 (tap cards accepted ). We heard there was opihi in Belfast and found some along the way (we're from Hawaii). Super windy that day so we were getting flown all over the rocks. Only stop on the tour that was worth it. Next stop, Belfast City Centre. The tour guy dropped us off near City Hall with absolutely no direction. He told us about a mall nearby, but that's it. Anything worth seeing was already closed. I really wished he would've gave us more recommendations about what to do, where to eat, or anything worth seeing in the short amount of time we had there. After walking around City Hall, we walked to the mall to use the bathroom, stopped at a souvenir shop, then headed back. Total waste of time, again. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! Sadiy, I purchased the tickets for this tour after the price had gone up about €10 from their 2025 prices. Tour was also supposed to end at 8pm but we got back by 7pm because he kept rushing us. Leaving early from stops. Felt rushed the whole time. I feel it was a total waste of money that could've been used elsewhere.

On the way, we had some bus trouble, which was unfortunate, but I will certainly not blame that on Irish Day Tours. In fact, I want to give them praise for the driver's attentiveness, making sure the passengers were safe, and the company being expedient in getting a new bus out to accommodate the rest of the tour. The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most beautiful sights I have ever laid my eyes on and we were blessed with great weather on this particular day. Sunny and not too windy (our visit was at the end of February but not sure how typical this is for that time of year). I believe we were allotted 1.5-2 hours at the Cliffs which we enjoyed every minute of. The stop in Doolin for lunch was charming and I was impressed with how quickly they were able to serve us. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience Galway on our tour due to the technical difficulties but I appreciate them being mindful of the schedule. I want to give particular praise to our driver and guide Kevin, who was absolutely fantastic in not only getting us there and back safely but is full of fascinating information on Ireland's history. As we continued to learn about Ireland over the course of the rest of our trip, I found myself wanting to ask Kevin his opinion on many topics. Thank you Kevin and IDT!

Do not wear your pretty shoes here because it was a muddy day for us. We started out at Tollymore Forest, visited Winterfell, and ended the day at Inch Abbey where Robb Stark was pledged King of the North. Because of the awful weather, the Inch Abbey was the only spot we got to wear the cloaks and play with all the props. This made me a bit bummed when I saw the gallery online and other groups got so many nice pictures in their cloaks throughout the tour. For centuries, it was the headquarters of English (and eventually British) rule in Ireland. In 1684, a large fire destroyed a large portion of the castle. When you visit Dublin Castle, you can choose to explore it in two ways: with a self-guided tour to the state apartments or with a scheduled guided tour that visits the Viking Excavation, the Chapel Royal, and the State Apartments. When you first enter the courtyard, you'll immediately see the newer Georgian architecture in the neat red brick buildings surrounding the square. From the 13th century to the early 20th century, the castle was under British control. It served from being a royal palace and parliament to a prison. The tour was informative and fun. Our tour guide was fun, engaging, entertaining and an overall joy to wander around and connect with. Clearly a very passionate person about Jameson! Immediately following that, we bellied up to the gorgeous bar downstairs for a final cocktail before heading back out.
