    Cairon, our amazing guide...so funny!

We did the cocktail experience with Cairon. He was mad entertaining and we made amazing drinks and the company was even better! Don't sleep on this, you will have a blast!

This is a "must go" place especially if you're visiting Dublin the first time. Typical distillery tour, but they do a pretty great job with the visual displays and audience participation.

Whilst on a trip in Ireland, my friend and I stopped at the Jameson distillery. Truth be told we hadn't initially planned on it but our hotel gave a slight discount for the tours so we figured we'd go for it. It was really easy to find the entrance and where to start the tour. The staff was super welcoming and the tour was very informative! I went on another whiskey tour the day after Jameson and honestly the knowledge provided during the Jameson tour was helpful. At the end, my friend and I stopped by the bar for a drink (or two). I ended up trying Red Breast 10 yrs on the rocks and a whiskey sour! Both drinks were lovely. I was already a whiskey sour fan and the one here was sooooo good. I had a pretty sad whiskey sour the day before so it was like night and day. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Jameson! I can't believe I almost didn't go considering how great of a time my friend and I had. Check it out!

Excellent tour! The presentation is very well done, blending both modern tech with a live person giving interesting information about the history and the science of Jameson. The quality of the visuals/video used was great - down to the details. The science part was sensory interactive - you watched some parts and listened, smelled some things, and ended with a tasting of three different whiskeys. It also included a choice of cocktail or neat at the Grog Bar. The people were very friendly and Antonia, the young woman who gave the presentation, was engaging and professional. I was impressed. If you're interested in Jameson and want to sample as well as learn a little bit of the history of Irish whiskey, this is definitely a worthy tour.

This was my favorite activity while in Dublin. We paid for a whisky tasting and were guided to a small room in which we learned the way the whiskey is made and the history of the distillery. Tried 4 whiskeys made by Jameson. The bar outside has the most delicious menu for cocktails. Be careful in the gift shop because you'll want to buy everything. We walked away with 3 bottles of Red Breast whiskey that cannot be bought in the US. Also purchased a beautiful warm jacket.

I did a Method and Madness flight - there were a couple of these I've never had before.

Absolutely wonderful. If you like Irish Whiskey, this place is a must and recommend the "private tasting." It's four distillery exclusive whiskeys in the back (in what used to be John Jameson's office). I did buy a couple of those tasty whiskeys. I can't remember the name of the guy who led the tour but I think it was Marc, he was wonderful. I would do it again, even with the same whiskeys. You can take tours or have flights, or even a beer. There's different types of tasting experiences (we did one at the Middleton distillery which was more of an introduction to Jameson whiskeys). If you're like me and want to get a bottle or two that you can get in the states and you like the Spots, Red Breast, Method and Madness or regular Jameson, this place is an absolute must visit.

When planning our Ireland trip, there was a short list of absolute must visits and Jameson Distillery in Dublin was top of that list! As much as Jameson is synonymous with Dublin, you would think they take up several blocks of downtown space...however, this distillery is tucked away on Bow Street in the Smithfield area of the city. It is a little hike on foot from city centre, but on a good day, it is a nice walk that is well worth the reward! The distillery is absolutely gorgeous. The outside if classic Irish infrastructure, then you walk inside and are transported into a modern, rustic, elevated and exciting space dedicated to all things Jameson! We purchased tickets for our guided tour and tasting ahead of time, and I highly recommend you doing the same. Our tour started with a quick introduction to things, then up the stairs we went to the Daily Grog where we got to choose our cocktail, and of course, I went with the Jameson Ginger! From there the tour started where we got to see the inner working of the process, including the ingredients along with a sensory station for tastes, smells, etc...The final tasting allowed us to sample a few different varieties of Jameson, including one that was only available on site. The tour was informative and fun. Our tour guide was fun, engaging, entertaining and an overall joy to wander around and connect with. Clearly a very passionate person about Jameson! After the tour, we wandered directly into the gift shop where we of course picked up a few pieces of swag. Immediately following that, we bellied up to the gorgeous bar downstairs for a final cocktail before heading back out. Overall, Jameson Distillery was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Dublin, and I highly recommend it!

While in Dublin, the Jameson distillery tour is a must. It was exactly what you would expect from great marketing! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, loved learning more about the distilling process, and had a drink. What more could you would ask!?

I'm not a whiskey drinker but this place really surprised me, starting with our welcome drink. I chose the Jameson Lemonade and couldn't taste the whiskey at all thankfully. The exhibits were interesting and I loved the design. The whiskey tasting itself wasn't too much and I did enjoy the Black Label. But what made the tour the most enjoyable was definitely Niall who cracked us up the entire time.

First time at this distllery and it was an amazjng experience. We did the secret tasting which was really awesome. Our moderator Leah was fantastic. I learned so much about the history of irish whiskey and jameson. The staff throughout were great. Its a place where yoh can come solo or in groups and have a great experience.

One can't go to Dublin and not stop at Jameson. This was a wonderful experience. Booked a regular tasting and a cask draw. Let me start with this... you get a drink while you wait for your tour/tasting to start! From now on, I want all my tours to start this way! Ha. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, and walked us through the Irish Whisky making process while ultimately leading us to the tasting room. We then moved onto the cask draw, where we had a private experience talking about the barrel aging process in a very cool (literally cool) aging room and had the chance to taste a sample of whisky straight from the barrel. As if that tour wasn't enough, we then grabbed a drink at their bar before wrapping up and heading out for a much needed late lunch. Please please please don't drink and drive. The initial tasting alone is enough to put you over the limit.

Visited the Jameson Distillery! It was really nice! They have a restaurant that you can get some good food at across the way before your tour (that isn't affiliated). Once you enter, you will find a lobby and a cool bar! They have signature cocktails and you can of course get the whiskey poured straight up. Gift shop is also located in the central area, lots of fun items and bottles! I got a T-shirt and a Red Breast 21 ;) We did the Secret Whiskey tasting, not a full tour. I decided to do this because the normal tour did only included a tasting of some normal Jamesons. I mainly wanted to try some unique whiskeys! The tasting was pretty quick, about 45 min. But you did get to go into the "private office" and try 4 different Jameson branded premium whiskeys. You had an employee guide you through the tasting which was super cool. It was pretty private, since there were only about 8 people in the tour! If you are mainly concerned about the whiskey, I would recommend to do the Secret Tasting! We also hit the bar after the tour to hangout and try some of the signature cocktails!

The *secret* whisky tour was amazing. James... my only suggestion is that you need to bring your energy and enthusiasm up a notch, sheesh! The great thing about the secret tasting is that it is intimate and away from the plebs in the general public. Heathens! The amount of time dedicated to a flight of whiskys is just about right. James went through everything with perfect pace and detail, really great. You get to taste exclusive whiskys, available only at this location. Afterwards, I stuck around with my new alcoholic friends and sipped on drinks in the main bar area until it was time for the (add-on) cask pull. This had quite a number of guests, but Niell handled it like a boss. For the love of god, no flash photography!!! To be honest, I haven't traditionally been the biggest fan of Jameson, but this visit was entertaining from start to finish, and I realize now the rest of their product line is nothing to scoff at. Would recommend an elevated experience to get the most from this distillery.

I'm always on the look out for a good Portuguese wine (and Port wine) section and this place clearly has a few carefully selected gems, was very happy with what I found there. We've been very happy with the Douro wines we've picked up here, as well as some excellent LBV and Tawny Ports, from the better but more obscure vineyards, which is always refreshing. Why, you ask? Well, firstly because they have the most incredible range of wine from all over the world. They even stock my favourite label from Western Australia, Vasse Felix, which I've not found ANYWHERE else in Ireland. Secondly, their staff are wonderful. They are not the haughty, pretentious types you might expect to find in such an establishment. Oh no, they take the time to talk to every customer who enters the store, ask about their wine preferences, suggest future purchases for the expansion of the customer's palate, and discuss wines previously purchased and liked/disliked. Chris, a lovely guy from the UK, spoke to me while I was in store, and while I'm by no means a wine connoisseur, or a bulk-buyer, he still took the time out to find out about the kind of vino I like to drink. From there he formed a kind of 'career trajectory' for my wine tastes, based on what I drink now and what I should be trying. I found him incredibly helpful and not at all dismissive of my 'bargain bin' level of wine knowledge. While I was in the store I heard the other sales assistant speaking to a woman who'd had a less than amicable experience with her last purchase. They discussed the reasons for her not enjoying that particular bottle (these things happen, everyone has different tastes), and he made suggestions on wines that might provide her with an experience more to her liking. The fact that she came back to the store and trusted these guys to advise her on her next purchase really says something about the level of service provided here. So you see, at The Corkscrew, wine, as life, is about the journey, not the destination, it's about branching out and trying something new and it's not about sticking to the tried and true (although, in fairness to these guys, they have tried nearly every bottle in store). If you want a wine merchant who will know you by name, and who in less than 10 minutes will be able to diagnose your particular drinking condition and provide you with the remedy, make The Corkscrew your off-licence of choice.
