Walked in on a Friday night and was so happy to be able to get a spot downstairs. Love the speakeasy vibe and ambiance, dark and historic. The drinks were good and served in the proper glassware, we for a paper plane and an aviation. The bartenders were nice and quick, we're going back later today!
We were looking for a fun little cocktail bar, and I came across this spot on Yelp. It's really cool inside, it looks small but it's 3 floors of places. The first floor is the bar and has plenty of small tables to sit and have a drink. It was definitely an old apothecary, and they kept a lot of the old bottles around in glass cases which makes it a cool and unique atmosphere. These are NICE drinks - like 13€ each, but made to perfection. We had two very unique whiskey drinks and tasted amazing, they know what they're doing. It was fun to watch the bartender make them! Highly recommend for a quick drink on your trip!
Phenomenal, and I mean PHENOMENAL spot I visited back in March. I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time as in all my travels, this is still one of the absolute standout cocktail/culinary experiences I've had. Came recommended by concierge in my hotel as a truly 'special' spot known for cocktails and that it definitely was. Quite incredible what they can squeeze into tight quarters- the space is cozy, comforting, cool...all of the above. The cocktails...absolutely blew me away. One after another through the meal, I was whisked away into another dimension. Started with "Rye Me a River" (their version of a Sazerac), made my Corine (loved the talented women bartenders they had that night), who at the time was new to the staff; she set the tone for the entire meal. I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was but the pork belly dish literally made my eyes roll with delight. A foodgasm if there ever was one. Halfway through my meal I ordered the "Black in Back #2" for another whiskey-based cocktail. For dessert, I opted for a cocktail, "The Cold S'mores"...like an out-of-this-world elevated White Russian, this one complete with accoutrements like biscuit rim and a stick of toasted mini marshmallows. An absolute MUST if you are ever in Dublin.
Made a reservation for Sunday early evening and were surprised when they walked us upstairs and we had the room to ourselves, which was kinda romantic. Not sure why it was empty, because the ground floor seemed busy. Loved the theming throughout the bar and menu; and only learned through the menu that Peruke and Periwig are actually wigs. We decided to stick with cocktails and had the Barrister's Periwig, the Olok, the Chupalla, and the Singapore Sling.
This place is outstanding, from the decor to the food and the drinks. I've tried a few of their cocktails and they were all heavenly. Seriously, it's pricey but it's worth it. I also absolutely loved the food. The place is cozy and atmospheric. I would recommend eating here.
LOVE a good cocktail bar that takes it seriously - Kim happily pay a few more bucks for quality (here and there - I still love a good happy hour deal). The Barrister's Perriwig in particular was phenomenal - gin cocktail that tasted like creamy chocolate raspberries. I stayed on the gin train with The Duchess but we also opted for a class old fashioned. Everything was top tier and delicious, in a cool casual spot
Hands down the best drinks I have ever had! If you are living or visiting Dublin Ireland Do Not Skip this place for drinks! The ambiance is amazing the drinks and I didn't have any food but I am sure it wouldn't disappoint. 5 Stars all around. IG: @itsJamesLopez
Love, love this bar. The drinks are exquisite and the staff are awesome. The place is like seating down in a lovely old, old home, made of different rooms and floors. The drink menu is extensive and you will want to try them all.
Set over three floors with a very Georgian / Victorian feel to it this is a gorgeous cocktail bar in Dublin with small plate food options. They have a huge cocktail menu of odd sounding cocktails and they are made very well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and you can reserve to have seating in the upper floors. Book ahead of time as it does get quite busy. It looks like nothing from the outside but once you step in, it's a whole new world or, old world :-) Loved it here and will definitely come back again for an evening of cocktails. I had a couple of the cocktails and they were both good. One was a bit too smoky for me but I liked it anyway. A great place to spend a nice evening in town with friends or on a date :-)
Best bar and bartenders in Dublin!!! They are true artists with amazing drinks-a cocktail and a show with every one. The bar is super quaint with a beautiful copper bar-We started here a week ago on our first night in Dublin-spent the week in other areas- and came back a week later on the night before we fly out in the am. We will be back!
Really enjoyed both of my cocktails - I had the Pass the Dutchie and the Jam-In, both were very good! Only the downstairs was open to drinks only/no reservations (which is quite small, maybe 7-8 tables with most fitting 2-3 people), and I got there early around 4:30 pm, it seemed to be busiest between 5/5:30. I only took off a star because I had to order my second drink twice as it happened during a shift change and I think the bartender forgot about my drink. Otherwise, great spot for a fun cocktail if you can get a table!
It's like stepping back to the 1880s, but with better drinks and no jellied eel. Also no polio.

Oh yes. I like, a lot. There are two immediate perfect scenarios that spring to mind for this venue: 1. A date - candlelight is the most flattering of all light, and you'll be left to your own devices in this intimate little spot 2. A post-crazy night hangover buzz - see above re. dim lighting and being left alone! As reviewers before me have said, it's done up all in an antiquated way - the barmen wear white shirts, dicky-bows and braces, there are chandeleirs and old books and oil paintings and lots of opulant detailing and old, dark wood. This all gives it a pretty comfortable and envoloping feeling. I could see myself spending plenty of time - and money - in here in the winter months. I haven't tried the food, though it looks lovely, so that's next on the agenda, but both service and wine were top notch. read more
Visited P&P for the first time only recently and fell in love with the place! Walking in is the decor is really old fashioned with the 1927 flick metropolis playing on a wooden tv in the corner adding to the effect. The menu's are on little passport booklets and the witty names at to the atmosphere as does the candles that sit on the little tables that are dotted throughout the establishment. We tried various cocktails and my personal favourite was the ministry of silly drinks which I would advise any first time visitor to try! All are completely loaded with alcohol and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! If you give them a base you enjoy such as whiskey or vodka they would be able to advise what you might like and if you choose something extra sweet or bitter they will kindly warn you what it will be like when you order. Definitely will be returning in the very near future!! read more

Great cocktails, I've been a couple of times and always get seated right away. This place is cozy and plush with heavy drapes and dim lighting - perfect for midday drinking on a weekday sans judgement. The drinks menu is more of a booklet, but it's not pretentious in the slightest. The staff is really helpful in navigating it too, so you can just say "citrusy, vodka-y and egg white" and they'll help you locate a cocktail that fits that description. I've been here a couple of times, and the key lime pie martini is delightful. It comes with a blow torched meringue topping and has graham crackers around the rim. How's that for attention to detail? It's also not too sweet at all. I also really enjoyed the Nom de Plume cocktail, which is like a refreshing grapefruit and elderflower concoction. I also tried the food for the first time last week, and the chicken liver pate is unREAL. It's a huge serving, enough for 3-4 people, but my friend and I finished it between 2. Oops. In our defence, it was our dinner. The crispy baguette slices they serve with it are perfect, we had to ask for more to finish the pate. All in all, a really solid experience. read more

THE best place to savor amazing craft cocktails. Toward the end of the day it gets a bit busy and service is a tiny bit slow due to volume and usually there is only one bartender. He isn't conversational either so if you're looking for a drink and chit chat, especially when it's packed, you won't get it. Luckily, we just love trying new cocktails. I highly recommend the Cold S'mores. Every cocktail we had was perfection and we didn't have to wait long. If you're a cocktail connoisseur, this is a must experience in Dublin. read more

I LOVE this place. - The decor is awesome (upstair). Griffondor's room meets the Adams family. Cosy armchairs, piano, fireplace and walls covered with portrait painting. It's dark and old shool, perfect for a date ! - The staff is really cool. Everytime, we ask them for their advice and their recommandations are always great. - The cocktails are perfect. My new goal in life is to try all of the cocktial menu. If you're not as weird as I m, try the "El Diablo" with ginger or the "X-Rated" served with a shot of sake. I haven't try the food (yet) but it looks really good. read more

Absolutely loved this place! Reminded me a bit of the Experimental Cocktail Club in London with the way that it's got an unassuming entrance and split over a number of floors. Tucked just off of Stephen's Green in a lovely Georgian-style townhouse, the interior design whisks you back in time too and just about gets away with the retro furnishings. The bar staff know their onions here and will go off piste if there's a particular cocktail you want that's not on the list. I love a whiskey cocktail - in particular a Sazerac - and they made me a smokey sour twist on said Sazerac - served in a smoked glass. It was AMAZING. read more
Friday night and I wanted a cocktail, my partner and I stopped for a drink. P&P was busy but we got seats. It was warm and cosy. Mixed group of clientele which is nice to see on Dawson St. I got the Shrewsbury (I hope that's the name) cocktail and it was very good!! Very strong and did the trick. I will definitely go back to P&P for a cheeky cocktail. read more
Holy smoly... What an absolutely amazing wonderland! Very discreet cocktail lounge on Dawson Street, heck, if you weren't looking for it you'd not even know it was there but boy, am I glad I know where it is now!!! There are two very contrasting areas, the bar area just inside on the ground floor is great but for me the real gem is the dining room up on the first floor. It is the prettiest room which you can see from my photos. When I arrived, the barman cleaned down the window seat, which I was delighted to have the view out onto Dawson St plus as I was stopping for food and drinks, lounging this way is right up there for me. The cocktail menu is out of this world; it's currently themed on around the world in 80 cocktails, so there is a cocktail from 80 that is reminisce of a country. With so much to choose from, the barman and super helpful, I mean this guy went over and beyond, talked us through techniques he uses, the variations of alcohol, e.g. a cocktail typically made with whiskey, he makes with Irish poitin. Ordered from their lunch menu, I had the chicken club... This was a beast of a sandwich and packed with awesome flavour. Highly recommend and at €9.95 it is worth it and I have to say, I toyed with the idea of getting the fries. No need, the sandwich fills ye right up! I tried 2 cocktails plus of course, sipped/tasted the 2 my husband got and each one, was as exciting as the other. I some people would be alarmed by the price tag however at €11-12 a pop, they are at the higher end but they are worth it... This is a premium cocktail you are getting, freshly made with a lot of Tender Loving Care; I would not begrudge a cent. As for now, all I can think about is... When am I going again :-) read more
I went to there early bird time on Friday night. But there already had full table. Fortunately we could get a table of 3F(we didn't reservation). Stuffs is friendly and kindly. We got drink glass of wine, prosecco, and some cocktails. If you like cocktail, I recommend this place. Because there are a lot of cocktail menu and good taste! Also we ordered some starters. Caesar salad, olive, and liver. The liver was brinish, but it was ok. And olive was black and green. Green olives was big and included seed. I went to there in cold day, but inside was hot.(too hot!) I think there require temperature regulation.. read more

When you first grace the surrounds that is Peruke and Periwig, I would be surprised if you are not blown away with the décor. It's what the people behind this business are really good at. It's like stepping into a time machine, even the staff are dressed impeccably in vintage style clothes. On my first visit I had two cocktails and a starter from their food menu. The drinks are presented excellently. I had "Quite A Lady" and a "Metropolitan". The latter, being a twist on the Cosmopolitan, was a little to bitter for my tastes. For food I had the Wild Mushroom Risotto Balls with Baby Spinach and Poached Quail Eggs, which was really nice. On the second visit I was a little disappointed we didn't get to reserve a couple of table upstairs, but as we were not ordering food they said it was not possible. Downstairs did fine in the end for my group of eight that was kicking of the start of my hen party. It was early enough in the day to get seats on the ground floor. On this visit I had the "Nom de Plume" and the "Whovian Sour". The second stood out for me, which was good. I only ordered it because I'm a Doctor Who fan. Staff on the first visit were very attentive. On the second, being the ground floor, we went to the bar to order. All the cocktails I ordered were between 12.00 and 12.50 EUR. The starter on the first visit was 11 EUR. Overall, the place is worth a visit. But I won't be hurrying back. The prices do not suit my wallet, even for a special occasion I wouldn't go out of my way. I appreciate good cocktails are expensive, but I don't think the cocktails here blew me away sufficiently. read more

This place is just amazing! If you really like good, perfectly balanced cocktails and not the "typical" ones go there. Cosy, classy and relaxed. Music on the background is not too loud so you can have a normal conversation. Staff is super friendly and professional. I would definitely go back there when I visit Dublin again. Cheers read more
