After telling me I would be back up and running and back to work hauling my dump trailer in a week I dropped my truck off. When on the 4th month I asked if it could be the tos switch I was told by the owner he would go home and look it up on YouTube. " I already did that , your supposed to be the professional". So if your looking for a YouTube mechanic , and have 5 months to spare with no work this is the place for you. Apororiatly naned seeing they have takes 4 months to look it up on YouTube and be told by the client who is not a mechanic what problem is. ... Tedious, I guess when you have to look it up and figure out how to do it. Go to transmstic, it would have been done cheaper over 20x faster and they actually know how to do the repairs they offer. Side note after 4.5 months parts ordered and paid for, he tells me that he now could not warranty my brand new transmission. . ecuse me. ? I said that's fine I just shoot a copy it estimate over to BAR with the date and warranty on it see what they say about it. Got my truck back 2 weeks after a total of 5 months when I was told a week. They may be ok at other repairs but unless you want your vehicle to be a semester long test subject and get attitude for the delay, go anywhere else. I guess the repairs are tedious when you are learning as you go because you can't find someone who's made a video on YouTube for it yet. Never again not in this lifetime or the next. Not sure why it's even listed as repairs under transmission. Cost me way more money in lost work than the almost 6 grand and 5 months it took to get my truck back.hooe they stick to our changes and air pressure, transmissions are above their pay grade for sure read more

I wish I could give them a 0 star so I took my car in to their shop ask for a simple oil change he said that I have to get the expensive oil idk why but I'm like ok I'll pay for it but y is it so expensive I asked him and he said my car only use synthetic whatever so I'm siting there waiting for my car after a while of waiting he tell me if u give me 5 stars on yelp I'll drop the pice so I did and he dropped it a little to 70 bucks not much and then I drive off a little after I need to get my oil change and the drain plug was striped they put it on way too tight and ur never EVER tightened the drain plug and I told them that they need to fix it and he was like it gets tight over time that was bs he was going to charge me to pay more for their mistake long story short I was going to have to buy a hole new oil pan cuz the screw was stuck but luckily Jeffry lube was able to get it off I'll never EVER go to tedious Repairs they suck !! Buddy, the owner, is not only fair but extremely thorough when it comes to explaining exactly what's going on with my vehicle. I always leave with a clear understanding of the work being done. Mikayla in the front office is great with communication throughout the repair process. She keeps me updated and makes sure I know the status of my car at every step. This is my Second Review of Tedious Auto Repair in Chico CA. My First review was of the work that they did on my 2003 Chevy Avalanche. They did a fantastic job on the repairs and in the course of paying the bill, I asked them about cutting some keys for a 1960 Oldsmobile. Not only did they agree to help with this, Buddy had to order a component out of his pocket in order to get the Key to Key duplicate. They nailed it... both Trunk and Ignition keys were Perfect. ( Good luck trying to get this done at a hardware store and good luck finding a Locksmith with a Store front. ) I'm so happy to have found this business and I highly recommend them for your automotive needs. I was so relieved when I finally found Tedious Repairs, as I don't know much about cars and I was having a lot of trouble with my old BMW. Buddy, the owner, is patient, quick to find the problem and quick to resolve it. His rates are very reasonable and you more than get your money's worth. He helped both me and my friend with our older cars, which needed a lot of work. He also told me the truth when it was time to let my old car go because it was no longer safe. The staff at tedious repairs did a great job. They were able to pick up my vehicle during the Covid-19 outbreak. Buddy picked up my vehicle at no charge. He was able to diagnose my brakes. The brake rotors were grinding in the rear. I also got a oil change for 39.99. They rotated my tires and changed my filters. Buddy send me pictures of all the brake repair problems and filters, then dropped my car back before 3 pm the same day. I will be back for new tires soon as I get paid. I've taken my car here twice now and it has always been a great experience. Dropped my car off today(Friday) and asked if they would have my car done before Tuesday, because that was the next day I worked. I expected to possibly pick the car up Monday, which leaves me wIthout a car all weekend, but that's all you can do when you have car troubles. They called me an hour after I dropped it off to tell me they fixed the problem, changed my oil and said the car was ready to be picked up! Highly recommend this shop! The owner is super friendly and was able to get my car in for a brake job the day that I called. It turned out to be extra work than we had initially thought and, once approved, they had no problem taking care of the extra work immediately. Good, fast, and honest service. My starter went out and they had it replaced and ready to go in no time. My check engine light came on and they correctly diagnosed and successfully replaced my broken and worn spark plugs to fix the problem. Also had them fix my steering that was making noise on another occasion. They got the jobs done quickly without trying to sell me extra work I didn't need.
