Buffalo Grilled chicken wrap with lettuce tomatoes ranch and cheese. With a side of French fries and macaroni salad and a pickle.
Miguel S.

I finally get a chance to review this place. I decided to order lunch here so I got a buffalo chicken wrap with ranch and with a side of French fries. I wasn't blown away but I wasn't disappointed either. I would say this was an average wrap, it was stuffed well, I probably would expect this at any diner but I guess I had higher expectations. Overall you can't beat the value for what you get. Under $10 and I got a lot of food to stuff me well for lunch and possibly part of my dinner. I placed my order over the phone to pick up and it was ready when I got there. They threw in a sample of their macaroni salad even though I didn't want any but either way I did try it and it was good. For a quick bite to eat I will go back and try other things maybe that's not their specialty and maybe I'll adjust my order a bit. I will say Teddy's Bs is a good spot to have some food with friendly staff and decent amount of seating.

Iced tea $2.00 -- kind of small.

We've been in town for over a decade and finally hit them up. Their portions are huge! Chicken parm is delish.

A local necessity that's great for all 3 meals of the day. Omelettes, sandwiches, and pizza are all well worth it.

Zois Pizza Palace - "Greek Godfather" (cheese pizza topped w/ sausage & roasted red peppers)

Zois Pizza is a Greek-style pizzeria that opened in Seymour, Connecticut in 1970. It was founded by…read moreGreek immigrant Zois Tzepos. Born and raised in Eptahori, Greece, Tzepos immigrated to Connecticut in the 1950s with his family. He opened his namesake pizzeria in downtown Seymour in 1970. The name "Zois" is the Greek male equivalent of the female given name "Zoey", but it is also the Greek word for "life". Zois Pizza became well-known for their Greek-style pizza which is cooked in pans. Tzepos' brother Nick also operated pizzerias throughout Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley. The last pizzeria he ran before his retirement was Oxford Pizza Palace, which is currently operated by his son John. Zois Pizza is and has always been a family-run establishment. Zois' son Jim Tzepos has been running the day to day operations since the early 2000s, but Zois still pops in from time to time to make some pies. In addition to the signature Greek-style pan pies, the menu also consists of salads, appetizers, grinders, trays and calzones. I recently stopped in for dinner at Zois Pizza for the first time. I often go to downtown Seymour to see cult film screenings at the Strand Theater. I usually stop at an area restaurant beforehand to grab dinner, so I decided to try out Zois' on my most recent outing. I looked over the menu and decided to order three small pies so I could sample a few different kinds. The three that I ordered were the "Greek" (cheese pizza topped w/ fresh tomato, spinach, feta, garlic & oregano), the "Greek Godfather" (cheese pizza topped w/ sausage & roasted red peppers), and the "Roula Special" (cheese pizza topped w/ chicken, bacon, broccoli & garlic). Although I'm partial to New Haven-style apizza, these Greek-style pan pies were very good. They were full of flavor and had a nice and light, airy crust. At one point, my server checked on me and asked which of the three were my favorite. I told her that I enjoyed all three, but it was the Roula Special that really hit the spot. She responded, "OMG! That's my pizza! I'm Roula!" It turns out that she was Roula Tzepos: Zois' granddaughter! To drink, I enjoyed some cans of New England Brewing's "Fuzzy Baby Ducks" and "Sea Hag" IPAs. Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience at Zois'. I even had some leftovers to bring home for my family to try. If you're looking for a good place to grab dinner in downtown Seymour, then head to Zois'!

It's a pretty good sized place, very casual. Parking is OK but looks like it can become tricky at busier times. Prices are typical. Menu is just pizza, grinders, and calzones - no entrees. Definitely worth checking out.

Lots of seating available inside and there's a DJ and belly dancing on some evenings. The food was incredibly flavored and great portions. The pizza was surprisingly packed with chicken and pine nuts. A very interesting and delicious combo we never knew we wanted. Drinks were also a different experience with saffron mixed in. Can't wait to return and this time to catch the after hour scene! Looks like a good time and great for large groups.

I arrived shortly after opening on a Sunday and I was the only customer. The lunch was off to a good start. My server was friendly and helpful, and then another employee arrived who seemed like she might have been a manager of some type. She became involved with working with a different person to check the sound system. Over the course of about 10 minutes, they frequently changed the volume and what was playing on the stereo. At times, it was unbearably loud. At first, I didn't say anything, because I assumed it was just going to be a minute or so. But it didn't stop, and after 10 minutes, I finally spoke up and said that their testing the stereo was affecting my enjoyment of my lunch. They stopped testing the stereo after I said something. I had been looking forward to my meal there for a couple of days, and I did not enjoy my experience. A nice restaurant like Rawa should not put a customer in the position of having to advocate for a reasonable atmosphere. I just saw Instagram content that leads me to believe that Rawa is going in a new creative direction. The event manager spoke of upcoming events like a yoga experience and a couple of other things. I'm sure there will be people who may enjoy this new direction, but that's not what I've enjoyed about Rawa in my prior visits. In any event, if you go to Rawa, you should be aware that it may not be how you remember. I'm downgrading my rating to 3 Stars in light of my experience.
