Everything is so fresh and so good. I have only ever ordered the burrito bowl. When I find something I love why get something else. I work at a restaurant and we will actually get Uber eats from here when we are working. I always ask for extra avocado and extra chipotle sauce on the side. As a Yelp elite, I'm always so skeptical about reading other reviews because I only trust myself (haha). The reviews for Fresh Greens and Proteins made me feel like it was all hype but I've been on a super healthy kick and wanted to try it. I wrapped up a hike at East Rock and popped my head in around 1:45pm (post lunch hour). I was surprised to see a line but was also encouraged on the fact that I may have made a great decision. I went with an açaí bowl; banana, granola, honey, almond butter, chai seeds, and coconut flakes. I took it a step further and also got the detox smoothie but instead of strawberries, I asked for bananas. I took a sip of the smoothie and loved it. I still didn't want to believe the hype of this place till I tasted my açaí bowl. I'm in love. I really have fallen in love and will ensure I am here once a week to treat myself. Rarely do I ever give out 5 stars but they deserve it. Few things about the actual space; they are not allowing indoor seating but they have benches outside for customers. The space was very clean, the staff had on gloves and they, for the most part, all had a smile on their face. The guy who was checking people out seemed to know a lot of the customers and interacted with them as such, which was nice to see. I say all that to say, it is very much worth the hype. This review is going to start like a lot of my reviews, I discovered this place while doing food delivery. It took me a while to come in on my own as a customer but after delivering quite a few orders for this place and seeing the various things they offer on the menu I just had to finally try it. I have been there twice now for myself. The first time I went I got a Bobcat Bowl (after seeing this specific item on an order I was delivering I knew this would be the first item to try). It is a rice bowl and it comes with the following: Basmati White Rice, Chicken, Shredded Cheddar, Chopped Celery, Tomatoes, Shredded Lettuce, Tortilla Strips, Scallions, Lite Ranch & Buffalo Sauce. I did not alter the ingredients at all (but you can, if need be). I was very satisfied and LOVED it. Veggies were so fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. All these flavors mixed together in my mouth just tasted SO GOOD!!! Second time I visited I decided I would get another bowl and also wanted to make sure I tried a smoothie. Food order was another rice bowl called Buddha Bowl (Quinoa, Cucumber, Avocado, Chickpeas, Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo, Hummus) and for $2.50 more I added chicken. Amazing. Again, all vegetables were beyond fresh and- I need to add- the avocado was perfect. The hummus is worth mentioning. Very flavorful and I wonder if they make it there?? My smoothie was the Morning Boost (Almond Milk, Chocolate Protein, Banana, Peanut Butter, Chia Seeds, Cold Brew Coffee) and I got the 16oz (for $2 more you can get 24oz). This smoothie delivered... I felt energized halfway through. All those flavors together... match made in heaven. Only complaint I have (and the reason for the missing star) is the cost!! For the two items I got on my second visit I spent $20. The bowl is relatively small so I think that $11 (and $2.50/$3 for extra protein) is a little steep. I'll still visit again though!! read more

I always order at the Watertown location and recently they had changed their website. I was on Watertown and clicked the blue link for menu and did not realize it brought me to Hamden. SIMPLE HUMAN MISTAKE!! When my coworker went to pick up the order in Watertown and my order was not there, I called Hamden to explain. I was told I had to speak to the manager. I explained again what had happened and asked if he could refund me. He stated: I will refund you but I don't think that's what you did and you don't have to LIE about it and hung up on me!!! I have yet one week later, to receive my refund. I have called and was told they would call me back and they have not. I will never do business there again due to the rudeness and poor customer service!!!!! read more

I usually get worried with shakes because often at other places, they aren't as filing, but at greens and proteins they are perfect! They also have an awesome variety on their menu and even have options to build your own bowl, or shake! The workers are so nice and personable. They really take their time and you can tell they care for their customers. They are so close to QU's main campus and I'm really jealous they weren't here when I attended QU, because I'd be there every day for sure.
