There are many açaí/smoothie cafés in New Haven but this definitely my all-time favorite! The fruit is fresh; the açaí is blended really well and always the perfect consistency. It's not too sugary either. My go-tos are the classic and the nutty açaí bowls. I've only ordered via Snackpass. The man working behind the counter is kind and efficient. The bowls were always ready by the estimated pickup time and are kept refrigerated until you get there. The interior is cozy, quiet, and clean - I can definitely see myself reading/studying here.
Ordered the Nutty Acai Bowl and loved the crunch! Order came out pretty quickly. Acai was a good level of sweetness, and I enjoyed the heaping of peanut butter. There are a few tables inside. Wish the portion were bigger for its price, but overall, a solid breakfast meal
The food is made fresh with fresh ingredients. The bowls are healthy and refreshing. The service was great and the staff very friendly. I didn't plan on staying but got a cozy table for two that had a plug and ended up staying for a few hours to work. There is window bar seating and a couple outdoor seats.
I visited Life Bowls last year and didn't connect with it, but, I am a woman of second chances so I decided to stop by again today (7/13/21). I read the other reviews and compared it to my experience and it seems like everyone else had nothing but pleasant things to say about it and I too wanted that feeling. When I walked in, there was only one person ahead of me so I was able to order mine pretty quickly. I went with the Nutty as it seemed to be a crowd favorite. I wholly enjoyed the topping (honey, granola, bananas, etc.) but I wasn't too fond of the blend which is really just a me thing. I will say if you're an açaí bowl lover, make sure to check them out. The space is cozy and the staff is pleasant. You'll love it. P.S: Put back up the BLM & PRIDE posters.
Life Bowls got the highest ratings on Yelp among places with Acai bowls in New Haven so I wanted to try it out. We did a pick up and got a few different bowls and salads (Budda bowls). The acas bowls were really good without being too overly sweet. The Buddha bowls were ok ish. I will surely be back to try the other acai/pitaya bowls.
Really wanted a smoothie, and this was the right place. We were immediately acknowledged when we walked in the door, and the gentleman that took our order was pleasant. Place is cozy and clean. We took a seat while we waited for the drinks and when they were finished they walked the drinks over to us, which was a nice touch, instead of yelling our order out. We ordered the Hartford Kaler (w. fresh ginger) and it was very good. None of the flavors were overpowering, it was a good blend, even with the Ginger. I like the coconut water they used, wasn't super watery.
Although the toppings were abundant for a rather small acai bowl, the acai base itself was disappointing, tasting more like a berry smoothie than acai. Not to mention, the base tasted almost watered down. There are only a few spaces for indoor seating, and no outdoor seating. However, the service was very quick and the workers were friendly.
Life Bowls is my favorite place to get a fruit bowl in town! The consistency of the bowls are perfect; you feel like you're eating a thiccc acai bowl instead of a runny smoothie. Their selections aren't too sweet, and you can often get good deals on Snackpass!
Delicious and healthy are the two words that describes this place. Friendly staff and clean restaurant are a must and this place executes it well. I recommend coming here for anyone that wants a healthy meal replacement.
I'm giving life bowls a 5. That isn't normal for me but I feel they deserve it. They have a great selection of acia bowls, smoothies and toasts. I tried the nutty bowl and was very impressed by the topping ratio. Crunchy, nutty, fresh. I also ordered an iced coffee and was pumped that they add coffee ice cubes instead of water cubes. Finally their set up has ample seating, friendly staff, and I'm never opposed to listening to some Janis Joplin with my breakfast.
This place is amazing! Next time you go out for Ice cream, come here. The bowls are so delicious and so healthy. We also got salad bowls and toasts that were so delicious and filling. They are a perfect spot for vegans, vegetarians, and people on plant based diets. All whole foods here. My husband who is not vegan also loved it so much.

It was a warm afternoon and we needed something really healthy to get us through the rest of our day touring the local campus. We also needed something that was safely gluten free because of celiac. We were happy to find life bowls. They cleaned out a container to make sure there was no cross contact and made a really good smoothie. We added in Chia seeds and flax and coconut flakes. Fresh and filling smoothie bowls. Service was great and it was very clean inside. Menu was clear and easy to read. I will definitely return. If you are looking for a bowl that more of the nutty cocoa flavor try the Nutty and if your looking for a bowl on the sweeter side try the kiwi the lime was a great touch. read more
This place was great. I was in the area and looking for something fresh and thankfully stumbled across this place. I got a bowl with peanut butter and banana which was great, and also toast with hummus avocado and carrot which was surprisingly good. I was a little hesitant on the toast but in hindsight it stole the show and I would totally recommend it. Service was good! read more

Great food, Great Vibes. I actually crave their oatmeal on a daily basis. Smoothies very fresh and not sugar overload. I go here at least 4 times a week when in New Haven. read more
