We had our motorcycle group Christmas dinner again! Management made sure our night went smoothly. Our Server Matt was 100% professional. He had to deal with 18 of us! The food was amazing, no one had to wait for their entrees to come out. The tables were set beautifully.

Rehearsal/Night Before Dinner Celebration

We had our son & and his brides " Night Before Dinner Celebration " at Biagetti's . I can't even begin to say how absolutely wonderful, amazing, & fantastic the evening was. From the breathtaking room and decor to the scrumptious appetizers! The Italian wedding soup was delicious and the bruschetta was the best we have ever had! Their special appetizer ClamsDiMaeo was to die for! The house salads were the perfect size and the homemade dressings were outstanding. The choices for the main course were plentiful from seafood, fish, to chicken and steak. Every one of our guests praised the food and our server Mike was very attentive and extremely professional. One of the many compliments was " I've been to many Rehearsal/Night Before Dinners and this was hands down the best ever". Many thanks to the entire staff at Biagetti's for creating such lasting memories for our son and his bride.

Chicken Milanese was huge and the homemade soup (chicken pasta fagiole) and salad dressing (tomato Gorgonzola) was delish

Wonderful dinner and service as always. Treated to live music tonight by Gunn Street Revival who just made the night perfect!

Fried Calamari

My family and I went to Biagetti's on a Saturday night. We had early reservations so when we arrived there were not too many people in the restaurant. As we began eating, more people arrived and it did get pretty busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. For appetizers, we ordered fried calamari and an order of cheesy clam bread, which was a special. The clam bread was excellent, it was cheesy and packed with flavor. The calamari was also very good, but was a little on the greasy side. All of our entrees came with soup and salad, which were delicious. I asked to substitute the soup of the day for pasta fagioli and I sure was glad I did because the pasta fagioli was amazing. The italian wedding soup was also very good and so were the salads. For an entree, I ordered the penne with broccoli rabe and sausage, which was a HUGE portion and was very delicious. My fiancé ordered the chicken Parmesan which was also huge portion and he said tasted good. Overall, we really enjoyed Biagetti's. The price was right, especially for the portions, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was great. We will likely be back!

We had a time limit to eat (due to a reservation at the table) inside or on the heated patio. It was cold so we ate inside. Our waiter Brendan was cool, knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered a burger, fries (came with it) I don't like fries I opted for a salad. My daughter in law got octopus and a pasta dish. My son a steak in chili butter sauce .Everything was delicious and the presentation was lovely. My son's only vice was the steak pre cut (it was new on menu) He preferred to cut himself. The ambience was low level lighting and relaxed. I had a delicious meal and a pleasant experience. I'd patronize this place again. Oh we had dessert too. They had tiramisu, we shared a lemon tart it was delish

The dining room was so loud esp when the bartenders were shaking drinks as if they were starring with Tom Hanks in "cocktail" We had the pea salad which was very fibrous and chewy (a 10 second Blanche wouldn't hurt) and the burger was tasty but served with frozen French fries, and way too much of them. Considering the style of menu, frozen fries don't belong on the menu. The fish was overcooked and dry. Overall, it's an inconsistent experience. Dinner for 3 was $200 with 1 shared app, 2 burgers and the fish course plus 3 drinks.

Once we walked inside, I was smitten. Duffy's is that neighborhood pub you find across the pond, beautifully decorated and with a great vibe. The place was clean and our waitress was the sweetest. After getting some recommendations from the waitress, I ordered the fish and chips. These were different than what I'm used to. Instead of a big piece of fish, I two small pieces of fish. It was interesting and there was nothing special about them. The coleslaw was okay, as were the French fries. One of my friends ordered a steak (medium rare) and it was tough and overcooked. Overall, the food wasn't great, but the ambiance made up for it. Would I return to have a pint at the bar? Absolutely! Would I come hungry next time? Probably not.

Happy Easter Day to everyone who celebrates Christian Faith…read more My Sister and I had reservations for dinner at one of the best restaurants in West Haven, in most people's opinions. Duffy's is an Irish American Pub/Restaurants owned by Christopher Walsh. Being a holiday, Duffy's is offering both their traditional and brunch menu options. The dining room and bar is decorated with strong oak furniture, tables and chairs. The historic backdrop is filled on the walls throughout the restaurant of baseball, football, political heroes and of course, a touch of Irish heritage and American pride. The staff immediately make you feel welcome and right at home with their warm demeanor and bright smiles. My Sister had the Brunch Wrap with a side of Home Fries (Sorry no picture) I had to Slow Cooker Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli and Carrots. Washed it down with 2 Smith Wick's Irish Red Ales. Our waitress today was Kenzie.... She was attentive and polite, did a very good job, especially with it being very busy. Highly recommend visiting Duffy's for any occasion, holiday or any other reason?

We were welcomed by the bartender (Rhein) who was also our waitress. She was AMAZING! Since it was our first time here she explained how everytging is made from scratch in house except for the onion rings. (Her honesty is greatly appreciated) For starters my wife got the tripe soup and I had the cheese cascava (mozzarella sticks). Its drizzled with balsamic and incredible. My wife couldn't decide between 2 dishes so Rhein said "I'll be right back". She comes back and said the kitchen will make the smaller portions of both for her if she would like. (It's was the early bird specials but we weren't within the time frame) So OF COURSE she did that. I got the bacon cheeseburger. The food was delicious! My wife is from Poland and she said the Traditional Stew reminded her of back home. Every employee were super friendly and welcoming. Rhein even took us for a little tour of the place and told us the history. If we lived closer we'd be here once a week. We'll settle for once a month....maybe more. Nachos: Picture this. You're sitting with your closest friends on a perfectly youthful Thursday…read morenight, because you just couldn't wait for the weekend to begin. You're playing some ridiculous game you made up in an instant, and your laughter echoes through the bar, along with the strangers voices and the blaring music. You walk up to the bar, where a mirror stretches across the wall behind the bartenders, and you catch yourself in it, along with a few lingering eyes. You laugh at the audacity of youth, the absurdity of it, and look at yourself a little longer. You're young. Your hair's long, your eyes are dark, your cheeks and nose are red from the cold outside that has settled into your bones. You zone out at any reflection you catch yourself in, because you can feel the time passing. The bartender finally makes their way to you, and you order a plate of nachos that makes its way to your table on its own. There are so many hands reaching in, and you don't even notice when the table started overflowing with new and old friends. You take the first bite, and suddenly you're gutted. They taste incredible, perfectly flavorful. You have no idea where the feeling comes from. It's mushrooms and salsa, perfectly salted. It's relief and familiarity all at once, like the spark of something new that feels good because it's familiar, like it was waiting for you too. You close your eyes and melt into its warmth immediately. You open your eyes and suddenly, everything around you starts to move. Winter coats pile up on the hooks by the door, then disappear into spring. The patio opens with local indie bands, then closes with the sun coming up. The stool beside you fills up with the Irish guy you had the most awkward first date with that you counted the minutes. Months later you run into him again, and you laugh about it together until your stomach hurts. At the table near the windows, a girl you barely knew raises her voice at you over something out of your control, and you realize you don't want this. You cut her off, and she disappears from her seat. You see yourself passing through time in every corner of the bar. Old friends fade into the back of the mirror, and new ones take their seats in the same booths, laughing at the same jokes. The eyes around you linger as they pass. A guy at the end of the bar looks up every time you laugh. Someone holds your gaze in the mirror a beat too long, then looks down at his drink. You notice every one of them and hold on to none, because you can't seem to stay in the moment. Everything is already passing by while you're still standing in it. "SO?! What are you going to rate them?!" says your new friend sitting beside you, who just found out you write these ridiculous reviews for fun. You realize you seek out nachos the way you seek out love. It's a deep, familiar desire. You keep chasing the first bite that made you feel like this. He's waiting for your answer with a big smile on his face. Your hair's still long. Your cheeks are still red. Nothing has changed, but somehow, everything has. "Five," you say. "Five out of five." All else: I've said enough. This bar is my safe space and happy place. The bartenders are heaven-sent. P.S. I was listening to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol writing this, hence the drama.
