Pricey, pricey, pricey, and nice stuff, but not my thing. Again, nice place for the fam to checkout as it could've been their thing.

Some boots. These are such cool boots that you could even mismatch them and you'd be cool - The image features two cowboy boots placed on a wooden surface against a wooden background. The boot in the foreground is tan with detailed stitching and decorative patterns on the shaft, showcasing traditional Western design elements. The second boot, partially visible, is black and white with bold stitching and a distinctive pattern, emphasizing Western boot craftsmanship and style.

When you win a dance contest at The Longtime and win two pairs of boots, it's always a good thing! If you are visiting Austin, a trip down South Congress blvd is a journey down Leather Alley. All of Austin's best Cowboy clothing stores are down there. But- one boot store is separate from the others! The moment you walk into Tecovas you will be greeted at the door - it's a nice touch. The quality is as good as it gets. I have plenty of dress-boots, (ostrich, lizard etc). Tecovas are super comfortable. My wife and I wear EveningStars to dance with - the first night we wore them dancing, they were great. My wife's were a size larger than they should've been and the following day Darrell took awesome care of us. He even remembered our names. Since then, we have had friends from Australia visit and sent them in. It was a Saturday afternoon and the streets were packed. They were in a hurry to make their plane home before stopping in. Despite the crowd, they were in and out quickly, having purchased several pairs of boots and other items. Their observation is that only The Beautiful People work there!!!! I'd have to agree! As a side note: Come on out to The Longtime and watch Sandlot Baseball, listen to live music, and meet some of the sponsors - including Tecovas. Five Stars all the way!

I love the brand, I just wish they had a boot that fit my foot really well. I have a very hard time finding a boot that fits so it's not just Tecovas. I still rep them with hats, belt buckle, shirts, etc. Maybe I'll buy a pair someday & "make" them fit. For what you get in a boot for the price, they seem very high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a pair. The salesmen are always friendly, & they give you free whiskey in the store. I do, however, wish they had more knowledgeable staff. I have probably tried on 10x or more pairs of boots in there on several occasions & always voiced how my heal slips more than it should. Never once did anyone attempt to help with that issue. Instead they more so shrug their shoulders & say we wish they fit better! I have since been to another boot store where a gentleman took the time to figure it out with me, & I'm going to try his suggestions.

We love this store so much! The staff is so friendly! The clothing is quality for the price. We love sitting at the bar!

What an incredible store - I guess there's a reason why this brand is doing so well. As someone who's new to the boot world and from Los Angeles visiting, I as alittle confused on where to start. That's where Sarah came in to help. She walked me through the store selections of boots and mentioned her own take on what she liked and thought would fit my vibe. There was a variety of pricing for boots from $295 onward so for quality boots they had a very affordable range. Great value. Will be visiting to buy again in december. Thanks Sarah!

So disappointed to leave this review, but don't want others to waste their money. Bought a pair of Cartwright boots in goat leather. Regular wear 1-3 days per week, we live in California so not real wet weather etc. Had some pretty significant defects after a little under a year. I emailed straight away with no response. Had to chase them for a year to get someone to respond. Finally they asked for photos. I sent them away and they responded by quickly by saying this is normal wear and tear however their standard 6 month warranty would have expired anyway. Any bootmaker worth value of boots would laugh at a 6 month warranty under normal wear and tear. This is just another new startup that sacrificed quality and integrity for a little slick marketing to make a quick buck. Spend an extra $100 and get a real pair of boot from someone who cares about their product.

Goatskin boots.

South Lamar District, 78704 (South Austin), Bouldin Creek

After passing by this cute coffee place several times, I decided to pop in when I saw an empty spot…read morein their small parking lot. I was sucked in by their marquee that screamed "Voted Best Coffee in Austin." The coffee was decent enough, but I don't think this is worth going out of your way to try. This is more of an artisan leather goods store than a traditional coffee house. It's set up like a casual store with an espresso machine. Really weird vibe. There's only one small, round, communal table with like 5 chairs. This is not a spot conducive to working. We came in and ordered two cappuccinos (cost: over $11). The tattooed barista was very cold and unwelcoming, and she even made a point to tell us that we weren't petting her dog the correct way. She did give us a cup of treats to give the pup, so that was enjoyable. Good thing, because it took her FOREVER to make our drinks. I was shocked when she said the espresso machine was brand new, then proceeded to whip out a handheld frother (!!) to finish our milk for the cappuccinos. Uh...what? When it was finally ready, at least they were hot and tasty, but also served in paper to-go cups. I felt like she just wanted to get us out of there because she was so bothered by our presence. Since there was no place to sit, we just went back to the car to enjoy our drinks. They also don't have sweetener, so I was glad I had my own Splenda packets in the car. I know Austin is a weird place, but this place is just the strangest. I do not recommend, and I cannot for the life of me understand these glowingly positive reviews

Saw the sign for best coffee and the place was nothing but disappointment. Cold atmosphere,…read more overpriced leather goods, and I felt I inconvenienced the barista by asking for a latte, which was SO overpriced. No music inside, just an awkward place with cold demeanor.
