He had my computer for 24 hours and replaced no hardware. He performed 3 scans and did multiple software updates. My laptop is performing better than ever! Larry is all washed up and has lost a lot of business. My folks and their neighbors used to use him. One lady has been waiting 2 months for him to come out and reconnect her computer in her new condo. Never a follow up and stopped returning her calls. I brought the computer to Best Buy and I have to say the gentleman there was very helpful. He explained that I would have to purchase my battery since Best Buy didn't carry it . But once I had it , they would be happy to install the battery.....if I leave it there for 3 days. I am not willing to install it myself but when it arrived , I realized I did not feel comfortable leaving my computer there for that long. So , I searched for an alternative. I noticed that DPC had very high ratings so I took a chance , called and asked if I could get this done within one day. Yes, was the answer , as long as I brought it in the morning. So, I did. Just after opening, I arrived with "the patient" and the battery. The gentleman there told me to stay there and wait because it could be done very quickly. Excellent ! And it was done in less than 1/2 hour, for a very reasonable price . I didn't have to leave it for 3 days. (for a battery?) Sorry Best Buy. If repairs arise again, I know where I will go from now on.

I took it to DPC after driving by the store and then looking at the reviews. Adam was great when we first spoke over the phone and so I brought it in to the shop. He was able to figure out what was wrong quickly. The best part was he kept me updated all along the way, even if just to say he wasn't able to get to it the day I dropped it off. Such a rare thing to overcommunicate. Will definitely be taking my PC's to DPC when I need help!!

I do podcasting and need a mic of my own because I'm going out of town to do some podcasting. We get to the Michigan avenue store which apparently has the entire population of Schaumburg inside of it. We can't find anyone to help us bacause the staff was too busy and a little overwhelmed. Once we set someone the guy was nice but a little confused as to where any microphones for an iPod might be located in his store. We finally locate the section where they would be, if they actually carry them, which after 37 minutes we find out they don't even carry iPod mics at all. The clerk told us to try some other electronic place in Water Tower. I found what I needed at mpTree, the well stocked and more reasonably priced store actually had more iPod products than the Apple Store. The clerk helped us in under 30 seconds as opposed to 30 minutes and he was friendly, knowledgeable and knew the products current and future trends. I not only found a mic for more iPod Video but it has an external mic and external speakers for instant playback. The product rocks!! Also the store was great!! Please check it out if you have a chance I know I'm buying mine and my families iPod products here from now on. 5 Stars!! Ken

Had a great time, I was interested in subs at the time and was impressed by the JL audio demo. After the demo, I met Mike, Holm Audio owner. Seemed like a cool guy. He loaned me a couple of E110 subs to demo at home. He reached out via text to see how I was doing and negotiate a possible purchase. When I told him I was interested in demoing the E112's he told me they only one, he tried to sell me the 10 and 12 inch sub at a discount. I wasn't interested, as the size difference would bug me too much. So he asked me if was interested in anything else. I told him I was also interested in a direct to consumer subwoofer brand from Norway. Well I guess that upset him because he told me to return the subs right away, and that I would not be in his "VIP club". Needless to say, I returned the subs and did not make a purchase. This sucks because I really wanted to support a cool local Hifi shop like Mike's. But if he can't accept the fact that people are cross shopping consumer direct brands, he has a rude awakening coming. One star is for the staff, they have been nothing but amazing. In the end, I found a deal online for a pair of E112's that was better than what Mike could offer.

If you polish and maintain leather dress shoes, sneakers, or boots, they carry quality products from well-known shoe-care brands rather than just the basic stuff. The salesperson was helpful, knowledgeable, and able to explain the different brushes, pastes, waxes, and polishes without trying to oversell anything. I ended up picking up a handful of products for several pairs of shoes as a little project to keep some of my more expensive footwear in good shape and looking as close to new as possible. They also offer shoe repair and other services if you need more than just supplies, which makes this a great one-stop local shop for footwear maintenance.
