So, I may just be late to the game as I often am but I happened upon this place over a year or more ago. The battery in my car fob died and my experience with fobs and dealerships has been an expensive one. I had chalked it up to a lost claws until I went in here on a fluke and asked if they could replace the battery."Absolutely no problem" they said. They explained that I could buy a battery and be done with it or for a couple bucks more get an extended lifetime warranty. I was hesitant as I did not trust myself to keep paperwork handy, or even need it. Hey assured me that I did not need a receipt with me and they were just look me up in the computer. Fast forward to today when I realized my battery had died. I walked in, and with no questions asked but my name and phone number, I was walking out with a brand new battery! Before I left however, I found out that they also replace fobs and even fix phone shields! I don't think enough people know about the services! Maybe I'm just the one that was left out in the cold but I'm happy I found this place. Quick easy convenient and worth the money. read more

I've had to make 3 trips to this location to get my battery replaced under warranty. They took 6 hours to test the old battery, gave someone else my battery by mistake, then had me pickup the wrong battery. What a cluster F of an operation. Quick update - they finally had the replacement battery and after another trip into the store got it and took it home only to find out it was also dead... don't shop here. read more

I was trying to get a new key fob for my 2012 Prius. They didn't have the correct model on hand so they had to order one. No big deal, they said only 3-5 days to get it in. A week later I call asking where it was, they said actually it would be 2 weeks and they forgot to call to tell me. 3 weeks in I give them a call and they tell me oh actually it is in now and we forgot to call you again. I go in to get this done and am told to wait 40 minutes in store. I settle in, and am told that actually they can't help me because their new system actually doesn't work with my car. Complete waste of time and energy. I will not be back. read more

Staff was Helpful and informative.Great place to recycle your old batteries. Inventory is complete prices are competitive with other battery stores. read more

False advertising for battery recycling, wanted money to recycle non rechargeable batteries. The web site shows all batteries recycled and nothing about charges for service. I asked why web showed no charge, and was told not all locations do free service. I asked which location do this and wouldn't tell me. read more

If I could rate this store a zero I would. The manager really just doesn't care. I drove almost an hour to get there. Good news was they had the battery I wanted. Bad news was that I required an adapter for one of the terminals. The adapter they had clearly fit loosely and could not have made a good connection. The manager came out and basically said, "that's our adapter, it fits on the terminal, should be good." Even I know enough about electricity to know that you have to have a good connection (not a loose connection). What shocked me the most was how much the manager didn't care. Ordered the OEM batter on Amazon. read more

On Wednesday, I made an appointment to bring in my shattered phone screen for Saturday at 330. I received a confirmation email of this appointment on Thursday. I arrived on Saturday at 3:26, and walked up to the desk to start my appointment. The clerk looked at me like I was nuts. "I'm leaving at 3:45, and I'm the only one who can do these screen repairs. I can't do it in time, you'll have to come back tomorrow." I showed him my printed email confirmation, which he refused to even look at. "Yeah, sorry. You can try our other locations or come back tomorrow." "You can't honor the appointment I made three days ago?" "Yeah, I'm leaving, so no." I walked out. And went to "Illinois Cell Phone Repair" on North Avenue where it was fixed in under 15 minutes (hmm, Batteries Plus couldn't do it in time though...?) for $20 less than Batteries plus was going to charge. read more

Batteries Plus - An appointment they apparently had no intentions of keeping... - Battery Stores Near Me - Villa Park, Illinois

I have been going to this location for decades for my battery needs, including rebuilding battery packs. Last week I tried to drop one off and the clerk just referred me to the manager who stated Batteries Plus does not rebuild battery packs. I asked when this change occurred and he just yelled at me that this is the way it is and how dare I mention that they formerly rebuilt battery packs in front of other customers. What is the big secret? If corporate issues a mandate that no more battery packs are allowed to be serviced then why is he getting upset in front of other customers? If I had a spot welder I could do my packs myself and I never had problems with the ones they rebuilt for me. I just don't expect to get yelled at for asking why they no longer provide a valuable service. read more

Deplorable service. Staff was nasty and surly. Damaged the item I brought in for battery replacement. No apology - just mumbled. My previous experience at this location was very positive. I've been coming here for hard to find batteries: watch, lawn tools, electronics in the house. I'm sold on the 'free watch battery ' for lifetime deal. You pay a little more upfront for it but in the last six years or so my watch battery has been covered. They sell specialty bulbs here as well. read more

My Iphone screen went out and they fixed my phone less than an hour. It cost 140 for a new iPhone screen. I will recommend.

Had a shattered screen on an iPhone. Shopped around the local spots on yelp and all were pretty similar. The repair was 89.99 here but if you booked appointment online you saved $10. Cheapest I found elsewhere was 69.99 but batteries plus offers 6 month warranty on parts and service at any location. Best I found elsewhere was 3 months. Made same day appointment for later that day. Had it back in less than 2 hours and it worked and looked good as new. Staff was friendly and got the job done right. read more

I was in and out in less then 5 minutes. I needed a new battery for my car remote/ auto starter. The gentleman knew exactly what I needed. I didn't even say what type of battery. He also told me a way to save by getting the lifetime battery for just 20 bucks. So happy I stopped here thank you read more

Tried them a second time, albeit nervously, after my initial experience. This time, point of purchase transaction, and different employees. I will never use their online purchase option again. Employee Justin was very courteous both on phone and at store. I honestly felt like I was in a different store from last time. Justin and his associate seemed to have all well in hand unlike the two who didn't have a clue during my previous visit. Now, I will return, but I will see who's manning the place before I enter. read more

This place will not replace your battery under warranty. Some how with a magical multi meter they can tell that your "phone overcharged the battery" . Biggest line of BS I have ever heard! Beware the will make up stories to get out of replacing the battery. The 1 year warranty is a scam. Go elsewhere. read more

They did a great job getting us a new key for our car and setting it up.

The lady who helped me today was great! I use a mobility scooter and thought the battery needed to be replaced.....but had no clue. She took the battery pack off my scooter, opened it all up, replaced the batteries and put it all back together perfectly! I couldn't have asked for better service! read more

My cell phone battery was dying of old age. Looked on the internet and found it selling for $6 or $7 plus S&H. But I needed one NOW. Phoned around and this was the only store with the battery in stock. For $39.99! Ouch! So I went in. The guy said let's see if it fits. He ripped it out of the package and handed me the new battery. It fit. The phone started. Ok. The guy said it has a one year warrantee. I walked out with the battery (and my old one which is on the last legs but not quite dead and a receipt. No package. No "warrantee". I hope this battery lasts a week or so until the two I ordered on the internet get here. read more

I can't believe I am reviewing a battery store but I just want to recognize the great service my family always receives and find the staff very knowledgeable. This is our "go to" place whenever we need to replace our cell phone batteries, etc. It gets very loaded up on the weekends & the guy always gets to everyone efficiently. Keep it up! read more

This place was ridiculous. They told us it would take 10 minutes to program a key fab and they couldn't even do it. I will never come back here. The man helping stuck his hands down his pants to itch his buttcrack and proceeded to touch my key fab. If I could 0 stars I would. 0/10 don't recommend. read more

Nice store. Good selection of batteries. I went there to get a few watch batteries replaced. I experienced great customer service.

I went online and made an appointment to fix a phone during lunch time. I specifically said I would like to wait for the phone and take it and go back to work. When I arrived, the store manager "Jay" said it would take 1 hour and a half. I told him I had made an appointment and I said I would not leave my phone. He said he could not control the flow of business and there were only 2 people in the store. If making appointments early is not a way to plan, what is it? Very unprofessional. They could have at least sent me a text saying that they would need more time. My guess is that no one checks the appointments or anything. Sucks that I had to drive there for no reason. Never again! Not this store, not the whole company! read more

Wife calls, they say they have a battery, brings phone (s5) in to get battery replaced and the shatter the back cover. They say new cover will be here Monday and can't replace battery till new cover comes in. Monday rolls around and imagine that, the cover was never ordered. Tuesday rolls around and still no cover. Today Wednesday oh we won't get it to tomorrow and no we can't put new battery in without new cover. These guys are frickin idiots! Customer service sucks! We'll see what the next excuse is and will update review. Stay away from these unprofessional hacks and don't let them touch your phone! read more

Stay away from this store, very bad customer service they don't honor their own warranty. Purchased a tractor battery used it only for a month, it died after one month of use, it will not hold the charge, took it back to the store, they ran a test and figured out that it doesn't hold the charge as per SONIA the battery is defective. But they will not honor the warranty they said that it was not kept properly, a scam way to get out of the warranty, I don't know how would you use a car battery properly?! they just give you the run around so they don't have to replace it. Stay away from this store, stick to you sears, you will not have these kind of problems. Absolutely stay away from this business. read more

Took in my iPhone 7 with a shattered screen. Apple said the phone damage needed a full replacement due to a bent frame. They wanted to charge me $350 to replace. Thank you for the very fast and friendly service when I needed a quick replacement battery for my camera before going on a vacation!

My wife and i went into the store on Dec 4, 2018 to get watch batteries. We always get lifetime batteries. We had at least 3 watches each. First problem we had with them is they said one watch wasn't in their system and did not qualify as a life time battery. Then had in their system. They printed out the list and the watches in question were there. One was a coach watch and the previous salesman listed it as a tan band but the sales person saw it as a brown band. Thatbwas ridiculous. So I asked why don't you use the model numbers on each watch? Got no answer. The salesman tried to replace the battery on another watch and in doing so broke the stem on the watch. They had to send the watch off for repair we had to leave it. I am nervous about the professionalism of this store. I don't believe they have a system that protects the customer when purchasing lifetime batteries. We have been coming to this store since it opened and almost all of our watches have lifetime batteries and in the beginning there was just a general description of the watches and some descriptions are just of the band itself and NOT the actual watch. If you use this location and purchase a lifetime battery you should describe your watch and not depend on the description the salesman may use, especially the color of the band. Some people call tan, brown etc. What ever happened to customer service with retailers? So i see why millinials use Amazon and the internet for services. You retail outlets are putting yourselves out of business and out of jobs for people in the future. If you take the job do the job to the best of your ability. One of the salesmen acted like we were trying to get away with more than we paid for. They offered the lifetime battery and we PAID for the lifetime warranty. Describing a band is a terrible way to describe our watch because it's a tan leather band and we could switch to a different band later in the future if the band wears out before the watch and if we take the watch back after the battery wears out its still the same watch and that could happen to any watch. The band wears out and is replaced in the future. But our warranty goes on the watch not the band. Maybe it won't if I believe what Batteries Plus says. One star is all they deserve. What does a customer have to do????? read more

7/11/14 - went to get the battery in my $50.00 Timex watch replaced. The last time I did this - about 1 year ago - it cost about $8.00 for a CR2016 battery. This time they charged me $17.23 with tax - for a "lifetime battery replacement". I told them I only wanted the old deal for $8.00. They said they only do lifetime replacements for Timex watches. This appears to be a new scam. Go somewhere else to get your watch batteries replaced - somewhere that practices honestly. read more

I made an online appointment to have my iPhone cracked screen replaced. I showed up at the appointment to be told that the person who does this work was ill and wouldn't be in for another hour. I could leave the phone and come back in 4+ hours. I left work to do this over my lunch hour and was so disappointed. I asked the one person working why they would have accepted an appointment if the only person who could help me wasn't in? He agreed and said that they should not be taking appointments for work. read more
