I think it was last year that I wend to this place. I never had a time or remembered to write this review. I asked him to change the Home botton of my iPhone, and he charged me 50$. Well, the bottom broke in few weeks (while if it was original it would last for 2 years). He knew this would happen, and thats why he told me he would not garantee his own work when I was there. Im dissapointed on his ethics and service quality. read more

This place is super close to my house and I pass it really frequently so I decided to give it a shot when my phone screen broke. I LOVE this place. They are super personable and knowledgeable. Their work is inexpensive, fast and accurate. I will definitely be back and will refer everyone I know. Really great business. read more

This is the best place ever. I cracked the screen of my iPhone 6 screen at 1:30, I called them at 2, arrived at 2:30, and my phone was fixed by 3 (with a new screen protector and case of course). My husband had bought me the phone and I told Curt that he had been giving me a lot of heat since I had taken my case off so my phone could fit in my clutch, etc. ..Oops! I can't recommend these guys enough! They even fixed the speaker that sounded a bit off and didn't charge me anything. It was impressive! When I got home, my husband noticed my phone and said, "I like your new case!" Thanks guys! read more

I will preface this review by saying I've taken my iphone and mac to them before and referred multiple friends, and would have given 5 stars. My complaint is not about the quality of the work at all, and Curt has always been a very nice and fair businessman. This time I brought my macbook pro in because I spilled glass of red wine on it (whoops!). It was Thursday, and they told me it would be ready "probably by Saturday at the latest." When I called on Saturday they weren't sure it if was done but said they would check and call me back. I didn't know at the time that the mac tech isn't in on Saturday so regardless my computer wouldn't be done until at least Monday. Wish they had mentioned it. To be fair, it was a difficult fix. However... When they called back I mentioned I had been told it would probably be done by Saturday, and I am a doctoral student working on my dissertation facing a deadline so it really helps to be able to anticipate. They said they "understood my concern but red wine is a difficult liquid and they cannot anticipate how long it would take to work on it." This is perfectly acceptable. However, I expect that when a business gives me a time estimate it's not just an isolated guess, and they would follow up on it. They then said it would most likely be finished by "early next week." By Wednesday I hadn't heard so I gave them a call, and they told me they were still waiting on a part that shipping tracking said would come the next day but that is obviously not a guarantee. I told him my deadline dilemma and asked that they just update me to let me know if it will not be done by the weekend. They told me that they "don't track individual pieces to see when things are done," so they would not be able to update me on the progress of my computer, and if I wanted to know I should just call them. I do understand the challenges and obstacles that businesses such as these face, and their difficulty anticipating the completion. However, to act as if communicating with customers is unreasonable is honestly just ludicrous. I prefer local businesses, but customer service at a large corporation would NEVER give an estimate and then treat the customer as if they were unreasonable for wishing they had been informed that it has taken 3x longer, and then refuse to update them further. They should not be making guesses that they then don't take responsibility for making. If I had received one apology in the multiple times I spoke to someone I probably would not be writing this review. All I ask is this - being told initially (or called once they realize) that it is a tricky problem and they will give me an estimate when know when they know more, and if that estimate is drastically wrong, they update me about that. Is that crazy?? They said it would take 2 days and it took 7. I paid $371 so I don't think that's too much to ask. I also asked for an estimate for a cracked iphone screen and they told me they do that for $120. They did it for me for $70 a year ago so it seems their prices have gone up and their friendliness/customer service has gone down. Sorry, Curt. Don't know if I'll come back. read more

iPhone stopped charging and was disconnected from the world until Curt fixed it up the day I handed it in to be repaired. Saved me from another 2 year commitment with AT&T and allowed me to pursue my dream of one day owning an iPhone 5. Prices were fair and service was great. Very friendly and nice to talk to! Great experience and definitely coming back for future repairs! read more

These guys are awesome...super honest and highly skilled. I broke my Sony VIO' touch screen and they fixed it for half the price everyone else asked me for the fix. Loved it!!! read more

Curt was absolutely awesome!! My dog spilt a glass of water on my 1 year gateway computer and it would not turn on afterwards. A friend refered me to him, and so I called and he told me to bring it on it. The location isn't the best if you don't have a car, but if you time it right you can catch the bus and Curt offered to pick me at the T station if I called ahead which I thought was super nice! I left him my laptop and he called me a few days later saying my mother board was fried. He was able to save my hard drive tho and for $20, he installed it in an external drive that I could use for my new laptop to access my files. Unfortunetly, I can't access the files I need, so I'll be calling him back to see if he can show me how to do that. read more

I wish there were more stars to give them!! Curt was such a great help to me!! He definitely knows his stuff when it comes to iPhones, iPads, iPods, Macs, and any other smart devices. He was extremely helpful with restoring my iPhone back to being unlocked and jailbroken. Additionally, he took the time to explain how to care for my phone in the future. He truly loves what he does, and it shows in his workmanship. There's no question in my mind that I will be utilizing him in the future for any and all of my phone needs. Thanks again for everything, Curt... You really saved my day!!! :-) read more

Sadly cracked my Samsung Galaxy S5 screen and was devastated. Read the positive reviews on Yelp about iPhoneCurt and called them up. Super friendly on the phone -- assured me they could help. Quoted me a reasonable price (the part is very expensive, not their fault). I ordered it and anxiously awaited...called back when they said the part would come in and somehow it didn't get ordered. I was a bit upset, but I was promised that it was being ordered right now and that it should come in 5 days. Three days later, I got a call that the part was in. Just took a few hours and my phone had a brand new, factory-ordered screen, good as new. They even let me use the Yelp 10% off coupon -- much appreciated. Thanks guys! read more

Like everyone, i have had fantastic experiences with Curt. He's professional, nice, helpful, polite AND EFFICIENT! so i waterdamaged my phone, Curt helped me fix the problem really quickly and i did not have to sell my first born to pay for it. he also went out of the way to help, especially since I have arrived in the States for only a month... He even dropped off my phone to me---I'm a new graduate student in the States and with no car, it was kind of difficult to get to his office. He was super sympathetic about this. I can't recommend him enough...reliable, kind and professional! read more

Absolutely thrilled with the service. Dropped my phone in the ocean over two months ago on vacation and I couldn't even get it to turn on, but decided to send it in just in case it could be salvaged. In less than four days I have my $700 unlocked iPhone 6 back and working perfectly and with all of my data still there for less than $100 bucks. The communication was great and I'm just so psyched to not have to buy a new phone. Highly recommend. Thanks Tech Rescue!!! read more

During my visit to Iceland, I found that my poncho pocket was no match for the epic downpour I found myself caught in while watching a geysir blast sulphur water into the air. Said pocket was storing my Iphone 4S and became more of a pool situation than any self-respecting hydrophobic iphone could handle. Into the rice the phone went, and a few days later, both the home screen and on/off switch had gone wonky as well as the camera. Upon reaching home, I handed the phone over to the awesome staff at Iphone Curt, and a few hours later, my phone was all fixed up - all for under $100. I don't know what kind of dark magic they wield here, but both my iphone and I appreciate it. read more

If you're like me, you ruin your electronics all the time, in all kinds of fascinating ways. The good news is, you can destroy your phone in just about any way and Tech Rescue can still fix it. iPhone Curt and the rest of his friendly and professional crew are just so great! I've seriously been to this business at least 10 times since I moved to Boston in 2013. They have always fixed my phone (a laptop, too, once) super quickly. Here's a brief listing of some of the phone woes they have helped me resolve: I've cracked my phone screens several times; popped in the corner of my iphone; dropped the phone, case-less, in the toilet, sigh, twice; broken the headphone jack; ruined whatever mechanism allows for your phone to blank to black when you're on it so you don't just keep hanging up calls with your face; and just plain needed new screen protectors. (If you are as clumsy and memory-deficient as I am, I recommend the screen protectors, for sure. It's like a screen for your glass screen!) The bonus is that Curt and Tyler and co. are the nicest people. They'll make you laugh and are great at explaining tech issues for the layman. Phone-abusers, give these fine people your business! read more

I got my iphone screen fixed here and they did a great job. In apple store it would have cost me $200 but they fixed mine for $127 which is still expensive but its better than anywhere. My iPhone 6 Plus died due to water damage. I went to my local AT&T store to get it repaired and when the customer service rep heard water damage he referred me to Curt at TechRescue. Got my iPhone 6s screen repaired here. I dropped it on the ground and the entire screen cracked. A little pricey at $157.50 (originally $175 but used the 10% Yelp discount), however my phone was fixed within 20 minutes. Definitely go here if you need your phone fixed fast! read more

This place rocks! Originally found this place after my cousin had come to visit and cracked her iPhone 5 screen. They honored the yelp check-in discount and fixed the phone as good as new in less than 2 hours. The second time I used them was when my camera looked like it had hair or scratch on the lens. Turned out it just needed to be replaced which was done in less than an hour, and for a great price. read more

Great service and great prices. I would've paid 35% more at the Apple store. Glad I found this place on Yelp!

My daughter broke her iPone 5c glass screen. Found this place through Yelp and what a find. 20 minutes to get the screen fixed. They said it is usually 45-60 minutes. I lucked out!!! Staff is very attentive to the person they are serving. Wait patiently in line. They will get to you and give you great customer service when it is your turn. By the way, they are less expensive than any of the other shops out there. read more

The man at the front desk appeared to have zero personality or clue as to what his job was when I dropped off my phone for screen repair.. like a bored zombie or something. The man who returned my phone at pickup was incredibly kind and helpful and hospitable (guessing he's the owner). So that was a nice surprise after feeling very uneasy about leaving my phone in the hands of the first employee, who honestly could have just wandered in off the street and got behind the desk, given his level of engagement in doing his job. I would reconsider front desk staffing.. it was honestly unnerving, and if not for the great yelp reviews I probably would have passed on this place after that initial interaction. Anyway, the actual repair.. mediocre at best. The replacement screen on my iPhone 8 looks, feels, and operates like one of very low quality. The color does not match the black phone at all, but rather looks like a screen off of a gameboy or something.. the contrast is remarkable, and kind of embarrassing. I understand this is really not something to be embarrassed about, but it just makes a sleek, modern, almost brand new phone look incredibly dated. It honestly no longer looks much like an iPhone. Additionally, the colors are now way off and completely washed out. It is not the phone settings - I checked several times. It's the cheap screen replacement, which, incidentally, was not that cheap at almost 100 bucks. 49 dollars more and I could've had an original apple screen back on my phone. I guess it's on me to ask all of those questions beforehand, but a little information about service/expectations beforehand would've been appreciated. I suppose I never even considered that the screen would be replaced with one so incredibly different and after-market/cheap looking. My phone looks terrible now, touch screen malfunctions multiple times a day (freezes etc), everything sticks to the screen and seems to stain it (even rain drops??), color is off, weird patches of brightness in random places, all for $100. So that won't be happening ever again. read more

Within 48 hours, my dead iPhone is now alive, all contacts, photos, notes are still there! No rice or oven heating needed!!! (LOL!) Tyler was especially helpful and attentive to all my concerns and personally dropped off the phone because I could not make it into their office tonight. I highly recommend you take your iPhone here for any damage you may have.... Water damage is their specialty! Go here before you go to an Apple genius bar and pay for a new phone. Hint - its much cheaper than paying for a new iPhone. read more

Checking your prices first, people. I called these guys for a quote on a touchscreen replacement for the iPhone 5. I was told $180. I was quite surprised since the Apple Store only charges $150 to replace the broken screen (or $230 to replace your entire phone), but the guy who answered the phone at this place had no interest in explaining to me why I should pay him more instead of just taking it back to the Apple Store (which I ended up doing; took them only 30 minutes to replace the whole screen, since Apple recently introduced screen-replacement machines within Apple Stores). Look, I'm all for third party repairmen if they offer either convenience of lower prices vs Apple Store. But when it's neither, I have no clue why they are still in business. read more

Be very careful. I got my volume button fixed and screen replaced here and was really happy. A few months later I went to the Apple store to have my battery replaced and was told that the battery was already taken out and GLUED back in. There was no safe way to remove the battery now. The apple technicians are the only ones with the green tabs that keep the battery in place. I would never have know they did this if I had not gone to the apple store. read more
