I have been here a few times with friends and really enjoy the laid back atmosphere with lots of different types of teas to pick from. Sadly my my recent trip will most likely be my last. I came in here with my sister on Saturday, March 14th and we quickly sat down. Right away our waitress came over and already had an attitude. My sister was asking questions about the menu and the waitress was very short and had almost a mocking tone to her voice. We didn't think anything of it, ordered and quickly ate. My sister ordered hot latte to go, as we were about to walk out my sister opened her cup to see her drink was half full and she didn't even take a sip yet! She went up to the counter to talk to our waitress about it and the waitress was instantly angry at my sister. She told my sister she didn't know what a latte was and the milk/ whipped cream must have dissolved into her drink...we received our drinks minutes before and she defiantly knows what a latte is. All my sister was asking for was some extra frothed milk, not a completely new drink. Luckily another male waiter stepped in and said he could add something frothed milk to my sisters drink, which she was very thankful for. Honestly it's been awhile since I have received such rude and bad service like this, I will not be back. We stopped in here to have a quick breakfast and some tea, as I may have had a bit of a headache from the night before's wine lol. Pretty empty on a Friday morning around 9am, but I can imagine the weekends get packed. Although the wine sangria sounded delicious I opted for a pot of English Breakfast. I should have turned the extensive tea menu over and gotten one of their specialty tea drinks, but alas I didn't see that before ordering. The pot of tea came with a candle holder below, so tea stayed nice a warm which I thought was a nice touch. Also all of the tea offerings are sold loose leaf 2oz, so I got two options for my mother who is loose leaf obsessed. I was torn on food offerings, the menu is quite large, but decided on the Breakfast Crepe as it mentioned grits and crepes and I hadn't had the two together. The grits weren't actually inside the crepe, but served over top as a sauce. The crepe overall was a bit dry and not that good, but came with a side dipping sauce which did help. The grits also lacked salt, or creaminess, or butter, or something. My husband got the Smoked Salmon crepe which he devoured, so it must have been better than mine! Absolutely delicious! I came three time with three different people: lunch, dinner, and brunch. The most crowded was on a weekend brunch and it was a bit of a wait. My friend called ahead and bumped our place in line. I had the Nutella mocha with bacon and whipped cream and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! I've also tried the breakfast panini and the turkey panini. Both delicious. I've tried the matcha latte both iced and hot and both were great. We weren't sure where to go on a dreary, wet Sunday morning for breakfast and found this little gem in Harbor East. There's plenty of seating and service was good for a Sunday morning. They have a very large tea/drinks menu. It was so hard to decide! We had a great breakfast. My panini breakfast sandwich was so tasty. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to have brunch with a girlfriend. Let's just say that I wasn't too impressed. We came in and they were busy, as expected. We were seated and our waitress came about 3 minutes later to get us started with drinks. I got the Blush Sangria and my friend got the same. Although the wine was a bit tart, it was good. I got the Eden omelette, which comes with goat cheese, spinach, red onions, turkey bacon, apples, a side of toast, and a side of roasted potatoes. I opted out of the apples and requested regular bacon rather than turkey. I added peppers to my omelette. I also got a side of french toast. The food came out extremely fast. Within 6-7 minutes we received our food and we were thrilled. I started with my omelette. At first it wasn't bad. But the more I ate, the more unappetizing it became. The veggies were not cooked all the way and the goat cheese was distributed horribly. So there was huge clunks of cold goat cheese. I started to eat my potatoes...they were not cooked all the way. I took a bite of my french toast...they were stiff and dry. We were seated directly in front of the kitchen, so we got a bird eye of everything and then then it made sense. I saw the cooks reheating the food. Almost every order was reheated in the microwave. It made sense why our food came out so quickly. Nonetheless, I ate my food because I was extremely hungry. Me and my friend were talking and waiting for the check, but the waitress was no where to be found. I guess she avoided the table because she saw us talking. 30 minutes later we got our check. Fortunately, this food lived up to all the hype (and reviews!). We arrived with a party of 10 and reservations, and we were seated fairly close to arrival. Our server was Kierra, and the reviews about her were spot on too. She was great, full of energy and on top of things the entire time (and with a rowdy birthday crew - not always the easiest crowd - and she didn't miss a beat!) I got the crab cake benedict, and shared the red velvet pancakes with a friend. I mean, isn't that how everyone should brunch?? You havvvvvve to get a sweet entree to share! The poached eggs on the benedict were cooked to perfection, and hollandaise was creamy and tasty. The crab cake was the perfect addition and done right. All the flavors worked. The potatoes were noteworthy as well...extremely flavorful!! But these pancakes tho!!!! They were everything they claimed to be. Velvety, red, and "iced". With enough icing, they didn't even need syrup. They were so delicious - not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Simply amazing. The service is awful yall. Literally awful. This is my third time coming and trying to support them. First time- 4:55pm went inside to place drink order and went through the process of talking about drinks and then the woman said they were closed. How are you closed before you close at 5pm? Second time: sat outside. I sat there for about 15 min, no menu no waitress. I literally was about to walk inside when finally she came out. Third time today 8/15: sat outside and we sit out there for 5 min, no water no nothing. Another couple is sat down and within a minute have water and silverware. How? Absolutely how? When I talk to the manager says because they are understaffed... which I can understand but that doesn't mean tables say after someone get drinks first. It is honestly really disappointing because we try to support them and have had such bad experiences with the service. I do not understand. We have tried to support them but this is 3x now and it is sad because the food is good but I shouldn't have to sit worried that I won't be served. Also there doesn't seem to be a/c inside which is why we don't sit inside. It is so hot inside. If you are short staffed please stop seating people outside if they can't be managed. read more

I've frequented Teavolve a lot prior to the pandemic. This was my first time back and the service was great. Our server was attentive and got everything right. They also did a good job at making recommendations when we ordered. They also made sure to address and keep me safe based on a food allergy I shared. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time and was overall delicious. I forgot to take pictures because I was eating and drinking my mimosas! But considering the vibe is like a Starbucks with great food I'm good with it. The crowd was diverse: A few meeting for business meetings lap tops open. Med student studying on lap top. Love this place! But ESPECIALLY their Nutella Mocha Latte. The best latte I've ever had in my life-super rich, not-too-sweet, you could taste the Nutella-it was just perfect. My family also tried the Salted Caramel Mocha Latte and felt the exact same way about it-they loved it! Onto the food, Carolina Shrimp and Grits were good, shrimp was perfectly cooked and the grits could've been more buttery and could've used a bit more spice/flavor. The Adult Grilled Cheese was such a fun take on a classic, really enjoyed the flavors. While I though the feta chunks could've been smaller, my family enjoyed it as is. Veggie Sandwich panini was well complimented by the vegetarian in my party. The Cayenne wings, I probably wouldn't get again. They weren't bad, we're cooked well but I think the flavors weren't standing out and were missing something. Service was good, and ambience of cafe was pleasant. Nothing like a Birthday Brunch!!! I had been told about this cute little hidden gem in the heart of Baltimore and decided to grab a bite to eat for my birthday. They were definitely practicing social distancing and all if the safety precautions to the letter. There were a limited number of staff working that day but our waitress never missed a beat! I was in Baltimore visiting a friend and we chose Teavolve for Saturday brunch. We sat quickly and the waitress was polite. Surprisingly, we started out with smoothies and my açaí promenade was okay, due to it being watery opposed to being thick. For my entree I had a salmon omelette which included potatoes, toast and fruit. This entire meal was amazing. I'd like to add that our food came out quicker than a snicker; the fastest I've ever had food prepared. I will say the white sangria is delicious and I would order that again in a heartbeat. There are also some gluten free options. The night we went they had some local talent performing which was another high point. We ordered two paninis and a chicken apple salad. Items were fresh but portions weren't that big. I also got sweet potato tater tots and those were tasty. The server was missing the majority of our meal, and we had to go to the counter to ask for more water. My friend had the salmon benedict and she enjoyed it, she thought it was fresh. I would have rated Teavolve one more star higher, had my friend and husband have a better experience...... When I went to brunch, my friend ordered the salmon omelette. There were three of us, and the two of us got our food, but his cappuccino and omelette was nowhere to be found. We noticed that a table by us who was seated at least 15 minutes after us got the same salmon omelette that he ordered. My friend went inside to ask about his food, and they just apologized to him and told him it would be coming right out, with no explanation of what happened.... and his cappuccino, which he ordered first before his meal which still wasn't brought out. I went back a few days later with my husband because I really wanted to try their bubble tea. We got there around 8:40pm, and we could tell that they really wanted to close and seemed uninviting, which made him feel a little uncomfortable. We ordered a mango green tea smoothie with bubbles, and it was not good at all. The smoothie tasted like it came straight from powder, and the bubbles were hard, not the usual softness it should be. Maybe because I'm from CA, I've had really good bubble tea, this was just disappointing. And today I got a lychee tea soda, and it was just okay. I felt like it lacked the lychee and tea flavor, very bland. Overall I would say that the food is great, but the drinks are sub par. So I've been waiting to go to this little spot until today and it was definitely worth the wait! Teavolve is on the corner of what looked like to be a very popular area. There was parking garages, street parking, and a parking lot close by so there was no reason to not stop into this delightful cafe. Upon entering a sign stands by the door that tells you to seat yourself and your server will bring you your menu. Honestly, this was my only complaint because it did take a little while for my server to notice me as I sat next to a window in a corner. That may have been my fault though. Once coming over my server was gracious and did apologize as she hadn't seen me when I came in. The menu was ample with both breakfast and lunch options and a totally separate menu with coffees and teas. These menus were definitely impressive and with many yummy choices. I picked the breakfast panini with chipotle aioli, Canadian bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese that was accompanied by a side of fruit. I also ordered roasted potatoes which I would definitely recommend. The food came out and it was perfect. The temperature was right, the food was TO. DIE. FOR!! I mean for a breakfast sandwich I was impressed! And the potatoes did not lack in flavor. Oh and I forgot to mention that Nutella mocha latte! What a creation that was!! It came out with bacon which I would never complain about! And to taste, it was so full of flavor and love that I had to send a pic to my friends back home just to make them jealous. Last couple years when I came, I liked Teavolve: very interesting tea drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) and great atmosphere for social gathering. Every time I come for breakfast, there are always friends catching up after a while over a good breakfast. Monday evening open mics are also a fun community event. These things have not changed but today's disappointing experience made me wonder. I ordered a breakfast crepe made gluten free. My server was helpful and checked in with me to tell me the food was a little delayed. When it came, it was mentioned that the crepe was crumbly because it's gluten-free. Ok, that's fine, I've made plenty of crumbly gluten-free things. The problem though, was that it was crumbly AND dry. I have been gluten-free long enough to know that there is no reason why crepes should be this crumbly and dry. What people used to complain about gluten-free food being cardboard-like should not be a thing anymore because there are so many ways to make delicious gluten-free things, especially crepes. Two years ago when I had the same dish, it did not look the way it did today. Maybe I should have said something but I've never sent a dish back in my life. The fact that I thought about sending it back...man. I still want to like Teavolve, there are many interesting drinks to try and maybe I will give other dishes a chance. I loved this place. My wife found it too loud for her tastes, but it was very busy and we were seated with only a small partition separating us from a loud group of friends. Despite how busy they were we were seated quickly and the wait staff came around quickly and often. Their omelette was good and the chicken salad wrap was even better. There is so much more on the menu I'd like to try. The tea and coffee was excellent. There is a fixed gratuity added to the bill. I approve of that, but others may want to be warned. Service was worth adding a bit beyond the fixed amount IMO. Their web site touts diversity and the staff and clientele lived up to that. While it came with Canadian bacon there was the option to switch to another type (whcih i didnt do). I got the sweet tea which was good. She also never came to see if anything else was needed; not like it was busy and quite the contrast to my previous two visits. Really, chill vibes here! So with all of the construction going on downtown, Teavolve...evolved. Lol! I know, I know. But this place is so dang cool! I went there recently with a couple of friends one Sunday afternoon to celebrate my sister's birthday. They were quite busy, and we almost thought we were going to have to go elsewhere. We remained patient and within about 30-35 minutes, we were seated. We already perused the menu, so we all pretty much knew what we wanted. I ordered the apple cinnamon French toast with bacon, scrambled eggs with goat cheese. I usually get American cheese with my eggs, but they don't serve that here. However, the goat cheese was veeeery good! My eggs were so flavorful! The French toast was good as well. Two big slices cut into fours with sautéed apples and cinnamon and syrup- all delicious. I also had the fried potatoes. While they were tasty, they also tasted like they made them earlier in the day and warmed them up. The portion size was small, a bit pricey for $4.50. With brunch, everything is al a carte. We all split the bill for the mimosas. The champagne was crisp and pretty good. They gave us a bottle of wine and a glass of orange juice. I was never served it that way, but it wasn't bad. Everyone ordered something different, food wise. I can't quite remember what everyone had, but one friend had the bacon, egg and cheese panini and it looked so good! The restaurant's atmosphere has a very laid back vibe. We were dressed to impress, but the vibe is jeans and tees. Nothing wrong with that! I know that for the next time. Just the right size crowd, everyone was attentive and the service provided by Niyah was superb; everything you could ask for for a Sunday morning brunch. Now on to the food. OMG! The young woman that waited on us was helpful with choices and relatable. The tea selection is great. We opted for a spiked latte, I'd never heard of such a thing. It was pretty good. But can I say the lavender honey latte was amazing! We also shared the bagel lox plate. The blueberry muffin was a bit over heated but not bad all buttered up. The good experience coupled with it being BOWO will bring us back, even tho it well out of the way. I've been going to Teavolve for years, and I don't know why this is the first time I am writing a review. I love the atmosphere here. It's very casual, cute, and sophisticated. A great place if you want to go and get some studying done, and I can even serve as a wonderful place for a date. The food is great, and they have a lot of options for different diet. One of my favorite things about teavolve is their sangria which is made with tea! It's so good, and sometimes they have discounts on a pitcher- but regardless, I always get a pitcher! We were able to choose our seats and menus were brought to our table. We had eaten lunch earlier so we came more for coffee and dessert. My friend ordered the dirty red dress latte, I got the vanilla latte (my go-to for any new cafe I try), and we split the classic crepe (strawberries and whipped cream). The dirty red dress [not pictured] was pretty good, not the most photogenic latte, but the taste was good. The vanilla latte was pretty average. The crepe was not my favorite. The strawberries were good, but the crepe itself seemed a little undercooked (maybe we just like ours on the crisper side). My friend and I ended up leaving some of the crepe part but ate the strawberries with the whipped cream. Sunday brunch: 1/2 priced pitchers of all their sangrias ($15). Although there is a lot of ice, you'll get at least six glasses! The breakfast choices are really solid. I opted for the Croissant egg, crab meat, and cheese ($10). It was huge, and satisfying. The spicy sauce did not overwhelm the dish. My friend had the breakfast crepe topped with cheesy grits ($8). It was also huge. She enjoyed it, and I enjoyed my tasty one bite sample. They certainly give you your money's worth here.
