Ok, so this place isn't new and apparently it's been here for almost two years now. But it's new to me! Out of the newer tea shops that have sprouted up in recent years, I gotta say that this is one of the more memorable places. (I typically don't leave reviews for boba spots if they were just ok.) They don't try to be cool with sleek pleather seating, flashy lights, and blaring music... But they serve great drinks, which takes greater importance above any "aesthetic". I've tried and enjoyed their Earl Grey Milk Tea w/ 3Q. As a tip, I wouldn't mess with the ice levels on this one. I think the abundance of toppings and my decision to go less ice resulted in the drink not staying cool as long. My mistake. I also enjoy their fruity, non-dairy teas and I'm not a big fruity tea person. So far, I've tried their Passion Green Tea Medley and Grapefruit Green Tea w/ crushed ice. The latter was so perfect on a warm day, where I felt super dehydrated from drinking the night before. So refreshing and thirst quenching, highly reccomend on a hot summer's day! Drinks are okay. Tried the taro milk tea with sago, and it was full of taro bits and tiny sago balls. However, their free WiFi is broken and useless. Wasted time trying to use it when they should just post that it's broken and stop advertising that they have WiFi. read more

This is for sure one of my favorite boba places in the bay. I was extremely excited when this location opened (now I don't have to travel so far to get it), and was pleased to find that this new location's quality is consistent with the older one. The drinks here are very authentic, and the boba consistency is perfect (chewy but not hard, and a mild sweetness with no weird floral taste). My go-to drinks are Alpine Green Milk Tea and the Pearl Milk Tea with Red Bean and Pearls (#8 on the top ten list). I tend to get either 30% or 0% sugar if I get toppings (the red bean is especially sweet). Parking is plentiful in this plaza, and they have stamp cards (buy 10 drinks get one free). read more

The milk tea here is very rich and flavorful. I usually get the Earl Grey with 3Q, almost $6 for a large (Milk tea or lunch?) I'm sure any of their top 10 drinks should be good. One thing I especially like is their milk tea doesn't have a powder milk taste. They may use powder milk but they mix it very well so you don't taste the powder. Most tea places you can request fresh milk. The toppings are good too. I can't make it to their happy hour. There're many competitors in this area they should offer extended hours to their current happy hour. read more

Pretty solid tea and a good place to chill, have a drink, and do some work or chill with friends. The interior is pretty nice and clean and I liked the easy to read menu placement. You can definitely tell they're using real tea and flavors here as opposed to powder and syrup. I got the Milk Trifecta which was a milk drink with boba, grass jelly, and red bean. Normally I don't like boba but I thought they made it really well! I'm also not a big fan of milk but I enjoyed this drink. I'm not sure why I got it since it sounds like everything I wouldn't like--maybe because it was one of the recommended items, but I was definitely impressed. I can see the appeal of this boba place but I'll stick to 4 stars. TeaTop's Signature Alpine Green Tea wasn't as good as I expected but maybe because it taste like actual green tea instead. I have been wanting to try TeaTop since I heard good reviews about the one located in Bollinger and one finally opened up in Milpitas! I ordered the Oolong Tea and it was about $4.50 for a drink. The drinks only come in one size and the size was similar to the "tall/long" boba drinks and not short and stubby like the regular boba drinks. This TeaTop also takes 5 star card and offers rewards. Definitely coming back and trying the Matcha next time! There are plenty of seatings and it is a great place to catch up with friends, but there are no board games. Just visited and the winter melon alpine green tea I received was very disappointing. I have ordered this drink in the past and LOVED it. This time, the boba was extremely stale and hard (not chewy, just plain hard) Maybe because I'm visiting on a Tuesday night 2 hours before closing? No, this is not a legitimate excuse! And the winter melon taste overpowered the alpine green tea which IMO should have been the star. They added too much winter melon syrup. The drink was so terrible that I almost tossed it after a couple of sips. I haven't had a boba drink for 2 months and was really looking forward to having this drink. Bummer! What a total waste of calories & moolah! Looks like this place needs to work on delivering consistent product. Sorry Tea Top, but I think we need to end our relationship for now. For an area with more milk tea places than starbucks, I didn't really notice or taste any difference with this place. I've only been here once and tried the mango green tea drink. Came here on a whim cause it was the nearest place yelp took us after dinner with a couple friends. Ordered quite a few drinks but my fave is the earl grey mild tea :) I normally am not a fan of earl grey but this is the bomb. Their boba is perfect texture and flavor. You can actually taste the tea unlike other pre mix places. They use real chunks of taro for their taro milk tea, and they have sago (little clear tapioca balls) which I really enjoy, lol.
