Super cute atmosphere but sadly ran out of seating during lunch time on the Sunday I visited. They also had two kiosks to order from and it was convenient and had nice pictures. One of two main boba places here in Gainesville that I frequent, the other being Kung Fu tea. Their Covid set up includes two ordering stations in the front of the store that you can place your order on. My only gripe is that you can't change the sweetness level of your drink. I do not enjoy the regular amount of sugar that they add and prefer half sugar. However tea stori's new ordering system does not allow that. And I'm pretty sure they do not take orders at the counter. Besides that, the bubble tea has always been good and I have no complaints. read more

I used to absolutely love this place several years ago, back when it was still named Lollicup. I loved the Honey Milk Tea. I was sad to find that people don't even take your order here anymore- you place the order yourself on a standing tablet and wait for your order. They also don't have the traditional Honey Milk Tea anymore. I tried the Oolong Honey Milk Tea to see if it was similar and it's not. This place is still very cute and I'm sure their other drinks are delicious. I'd give it a try if you never have before. read more

I've been frequenting this tea shop for four years now, even before it changed to TeaStori. With a recent hype on boba, here is where you need to go to get your fix. Once you walk in, you'll see a row of tables on one side, and a small succulent/toy shop on the other. Unfortunately, the shop takes up so much space that there isn't adequate room to study/chill here anymore. Once you get in line, you'll notice a huge freezer full of assorted mochi ice cream, as well as an expansive tea menu. My go to drinks here are the Thai Tea, Early Grey, Avocado Snow, and Viet Iced Coffee. You can also get boba, or any other topping, for an additional 50 cents. The workers are very helpful in explaining the drinks to you; from fruit teas to milk teas, they have it all. When you're paying, sign up for their rewards program; after ten drinks, you get one free. Each drink rounds to about $5, but you might find a coupon in the Gator Greenbacks. You will also notice that the owner cares a lot about the local community and environment. They have reusable glass bottles, metal straws, and have even switched to bamboo disposable straws, rather than plastic. Boba is life. In this day and age Boba and Teas are a dime a dozen - I mean there's one in a 5 mile radius in every direction. However, Teastori leads the pack. My favorite is on their special menu - "Ube fresh milk boba" It's so good!! While I enjoy the kiosk to order from, it does take a while especially if you're like me who takes forever to order. The staff is super friendly and helpful. One in particular was boba specialist named Jordan. She was so kind and accommodating- I added to my order at the last minute since I forgot- she was patient and really know her tea and boba. I took her recommendations and it did not disappoint. I love my tea from here. I buy a strawberry mojito tea from TeaStori at least 3 times a week. XL Strawberry Mojito Tea with 3 pumps of rose added is my normal order. I have gotten this drink over 50 times in the past 5 months (keep in mind this tea is 9$ before tip). Sometimes they charge me for the rose syrup as a "flavor shot" which is 95c. Sometimes they don't charge me at all. As of this last week they have started to try to charge me for 3 "flavor shots" or 3 "water cups" both of which total 3$. So they are trying to charge me 12$ and change now for the same tea I have been paying 9$-10$ for, for months now. It's ridiculous and every single time it is an issue of them not knowing how to add on my syrup. After spending well over 500$ on tea at this place you would think they would figure this issue out but clearly not. Today was my final visit and I hope the owner gets their team on the same page about small issues like this. Also they will open late for the day or close early and not post about it on their instagram so nobody knows and as someone who lives in Newberry and drives 30 mins I have not been able to get my drink more than 3 times because they just don't care enough to post about early closing or late openings. read more

I think I reviewed this location awhile back when it was still Lollicup but since things have changed I will update my post. TeaStori is by far one of the best boba places in Gainesville. The variety in drinks alone is incredible. It would take you awhile to get through the menu. They have all types of drinks- from hot teas to iced milk teas, lattes, slushies, and more. They also offer a cool split cup where one side of the cup has one drink and the other side is divided with another drink. It's a pretty neat concept. They also have a wide variety of boba so you can mix it up a bit when you go. They also have macaroons, mochi, and other food items that I can't remember. The mochi is pretty good and they have a bunch of different flavors. They have fun board games to play and a little plant shop off to the side. They also sell tshirts and some other stuff near the counter. There isn't a lot of seating and it's usually pretty busy so more times than not I take it and go. But this place is definitely fun with a really happy vibe. The staff are always really nice and helpful. Great place! read more

Tucked in a small strip mall, TeaStori offers authentic bubble teas. I tried the mango smoothie and the avocado smoothie. The mango was refreshing and the avocado was thick and creamy. Overall review: This place will always be Lollicup in my heart. I honestly love the old setup better with the couch and boardgames (PLEASE BRING THAT BACK). This place is still very hip and a good place to study, hang out with friends, and of course get great boba tea. Prior to TeaStori, this spot was called Lollicup and I still can't seem to get that out of my head lol. I always end up saying "Lollicup" instead of "Teastori." Anyways, I do believe this place is a great place for people to mingle and grab a cup of tea, coffee, and desserts! Inexpensive, lively, and hip for sure! I am not a huge fan of boba but luckily, TeaStori has other options such as popping bursting fruit boba or lychee jelly. If I am not getting milk tea, I am such a fan of their iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It is definitely on the sweeter side but coffee is my vice lol. TeaStori used to have more sitting inside but since the side plant shop took over, the interior seems smaller to me. I also miss all the games that they used to have. I don't think TeaStori is the best place to study at during the weekends/nights. It would be hard for me to focus but I would say study during the weekdays and not at nights if you are cracking down for an exam haha. Free Wifi too! read more

Once upon a teastori, there was a girl who went and ordered a taro milk tea! She was overwhelmed with the variety of options that were offered, however all of them sounded delicious! The tea was refreshing and delectable, a perfect refreshment on these over 100 degree days with an additional charge for boba but it's definitely worth it. She also ordered mochi which do look weird but it's like ice cream to go and recommend the strawberry and raspberry white chocolate! Upon entering this establishment, the girl was pleased to see so many succulents for sale and books to read and games to play! No this girl wasn't Belle, but was me! Teastori is my go to for all things boba tea and it's a great study spot and they offer food but I've never tried it. They used to offer free boba with a Facebook check in but I'm not sure anymore! Now called TeaStori but the bubble tea is just as delicious as I remember it in undergrad - I'd even go as far to say the best bubble tea I've ever had! Not only is the flavor on point, but the texture as well - Smooth, milky tea with soft, fresh boba. One of the "new" things that I see is the mochi ice cream grab and go station which is a great addition, especially on a hot spring day. I definitely miss the sofa area with the board games which has been replaced with a merchandise area for plants and stuffed animals, but it is very cute! I stopped here during a day trip to Gainesville from Jax. This is definitely a place I would drive to just to get another tea. I ordered the side by side cup so i could try two flavors at once. I got the chai and viet coffee with boba added of course. The chai was good, a little sweet for my taste as I like my chai spicy. It was like drinking a blended gingerbread cookie, smooth though. The coffee was good and strong and if you've seen my other reviews you know i love my coffee. This is was another great one. The boba was perfect, not too gummy and just enough flavor to not over power anything. My son ordered the milkshake style and my husband got the mango tea. I was able to taste all of them and they were all delicious. They have a Mochi "bar" of sorts with a bunch of different flavors. I didn't grab any but they all looked delusions and fresh. They also have a build your own succulent stand, you pick your plants, planter and any extras you want to add to your garden and the pricing was decent. Finally, one of my favorite things about this place is they have metal reusable straws. They are also big enough to work with boba. It's a must if you want to reduce waste! read more

As a loyal customer to this boba store I would just like to say that this is one of the best local businesses here in Gainesville who is bold enough to stand for their employees/customers safety and their rights. This place has more variety of add-ons and flavor of bobas as well. The sweetness is just perfect and the cups are aesthetically pleasing too. They even have a split cup which you can get two flavors of a drink. The atmosphere here is calming and earthy. They have a very cute setup which keeps you entertained and you can look around while waiting on your order (which usually doesn't take that long). And for those who complain about having to wear a mask, do everyone a favor and STAY HOME There are other reviews on here that are just false because of people who did not want to wear their masks. Super cute tea shop!!! I loved the ambiance and the decor of this place. If we weren't in a pandemic, I'm sure this would be a really great study spot. They were all very cautious and were strictly following Covid regulation. They had spaces separated while waiting to order and many locations with sanitisers which was nice, especially since you have to use a touch pad to order (which a lot of hands have touched LOL). The tea itself wasn't great. I asked for a high level of sweetness in my tea but it was still quite bitter. I tried the Jasmine tea and strawberry I think? And they were bough quite alright. My friend liked her matcha tea though! Anyway, I would definitely be interested in going back to try different drinks because they had a very impressive selection of drinks :) read more

Hands down best boba tea in town. Not sure what happened to management because previously called lollicup. So quality may drift with new management be warned but if the menu and people stay the same this is the best boba. Literally was a frequent flyer to a point I had multiple punch cards. The milk tea was the perfect amount of sweetness. Creamy, but light. Boba was chewy and slightly sweet; perfectly made. The cups were also upgraded (shown in picture), which just adds more to the enjoyable drinking experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall great experience! I got Vietnamese coffee and taro milk tea with mini boba. The Vietnamese coffee was very good and strong, an authentic Vietnamese coffee taste that isn't overly sweet like you can get at some other boba establishments, and the taro tea was delicious as well, very smooth and sweet but again, not sickly sweet. I also love how you can get two different types of milk tea when you can't decide which one you want! The employees were very nice and everything was clean, and the drinks were made fast. Another favorite add-on of mine are the mini boba balls! They are so fun and a new experience if you are tired of just getting regular boba. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors! read more

Let's start with boba tea. I love the fact that they have different sweetness options for most drinks. I wasn't aware of this the first couple times I went in, but it's a game changer. There is a very wide variety of both tea and add-in options, making it easy for you to customize your drink. The prices are a little steep, but the drinks are good quality. As for the plants, they're awesome!! They have a great variety of sizes and types of plants for sale, and they're being sold at a great price! I bought my friend a little succulent from there a couple months ago, and it has remained healthy and grown so much larger! I just bought two more to add to my collection.
