I am so disappointed as I was really craving a quality boba drink and walked away quite dissatisfied. Let me start by say these 2 stars are only for the gentleman that helped me, he was really sweet and handsome (he's actually worth more). I ordered the "Creamy" Jasmine Milk Tea and it was far from creamy. It was really watery and lackluster. While I could blame the gentleman and how he made it, i know he was following a standard, company recipe so this is to say, y'all need to go back to the drawing board and actually make the drink creamy if that's going to be in the name. Ahhh yes they finally opened a Teaspoon near me!!! So exciting!!! I used to always get boba from Teaspoon when I lived in San Jose so I was hyped to find out that they opened one in Walnut Creek. There's also one opening soon in Concord next to Beard Papa's in the Todos Santos plaza, which I'll probably be going to more often once it opens. Prices are pretty average, considering how expensive boba is nowadays.. around $5.50-$6 before tax. When I used to work at a boba shop in 2015-2016, a regular size was like $3.75 with no extra charge for boba.. so sad how all food is so expensive now. Anyways, I always get the ladybug because I LOVE passionfruit and crunching on the seeds but honestly, everything here is good. I know that the liquid gold is really popular as well as the grasshopper (but i hate cucumber) and the silky strawberry/mango. I haven't tried the ube drinks or the Mango on Fire yet, but I love mangoneada so I will def be trying that my next visit there. I was so excited to see a new boba spot open up NOT in downtown I had to try it before the grand opening. The choices were plentiful and hard to choose from. We ended up getting the mango milk with pudding and grasshopper which was lychee tea with cucumber juice. I was conflicted on getting it since my first thought was "cucumber juice???". I went for it with lychee jelly. The staff was super nice and I will definitely come back to try something different. The grasshopper was different. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. I could taste the cucumber more than the lychee. It was refreshing but I wouldn't get it again. My daughter's mango milk was okay. i think she needed more mango punch. They offered so many add ins that I have not seen at other boba places I must try! Rainbow jelly, lychee jelly, lychee popping boba, passion fruit, it goes on! Interior is cute and welcoming. Our go-to boba shop! Love Teaspoon in general but this location is so well maintained. The interior is cute and has tables, so it's nice to sit and hang around. Plenty of parking nearby. And the drinks are all good. We often get the strawberry matcha royale, liquid gold, or white crystal, but all the drinks are great. Once I saw this gorgeous drink called Violet Latte on their menu, I just instantly knew that I had to try it. I mean, the drink comes with Ube paste, fresh milk with a hint of coconut, and for my drink, I even decided to go wild and add an additional topping of honey boba, which turned out to be a great addition to the drink. The drink itself was priced at $6 and then plus an extra $.75 for the honey boba topping (as of June 2022). It is a little bit more pricey compared to other regular boba places, but I felt like the drink I got was high quality, so the price to me was justified. The Violet Latte drink itself (basically Ube latte) was pretty tasty; it was sweet, had an Uber flavor with a hint of coconut, but what really stole the show with this drink was the Ube paste, which was thick (in a good way) and yummy. One thing though, while I really appreciated their decision to use paper-based straws to be more environmentally conscious, these paper straws did not work very well for sucking up the thick Ube paste, especially after a while and the straw became wetter and weaker. But other than that, I thought the drink was near perfection. Even the honey boba was pretty spot on - the boba was perfectly sweetened, properly cooked so it still retained its chewing without being mushy. It was all in all a really wonderful and pleasant drink. I would absolutely go back and get this drink again. And I'm really hoping and begging that (this is directed to you, the owner(s) of Teaspoon) this Violet Latte will remain as one of Teaspoon's permanent flavors. read more

Teaspoon was my go to boba place when I lived in silicon valley and I'm glad they opened one here closer to where I live. Their seasonal drink, violet latte, is an ube drink and is absolutely delicious and my fav drink right now. First time I tried it, I drank one in the store and bought one to go. My next fav drink is the liquid gold which I can drink every day if I could. Their location is good surrounded by other stores and restaurants, and parking is easy. Use the mobile app to gain some reward points. I go to teaspoon so often I get at least one, sometimes more, free drinks a month. read more

Second time that I've been here. I figured that the first time (a few weeks after the grand opening) would have a lot of errors in the process as the staff is still learning. My first time there I asked for boba in my drink and received less than what I expected. (Maybe around 10 pieces). So the second time I went, I was expecting it to be pretty good since they had been open for a few months. This time, no boba at all in my drink. I had already driven too far to turn back so I decided to email the owners with my receipt. This place is hit or miss so far for me. I think I'll stick to the other boba places nearby until Teaspoon Walnut Creek gets better with their service. I've tried other Teaspoon locations and they've been top notch. Both lack basic customer service. I asked for the house milk boba but didn't want the caramel rim so he suggested their black tea, not oolong but a stronger one. I asked for milk and boba and before I was even finished paying one of the ladies came to the counter with the black tea, no milk or boba. I kid you not it actually tasted like water. I could taste the tap water used. I asked them to remake it using their regular tea and it still tasted like water. No flavor. Couldn't even taste the milk. They never get my order right. Its not that complicated. Really it's not. It has happened so many times that I feel compelled to right this review. I almost always order the caramel cream with extra/double boba. On at least 4 occasions I've ordered this boba in person. Every single time without fail, they forget to add boba. To fix the issue, they remove the plastic lid, pour out some milk (pretty wasteful), and add boba. I understand that mistakes happen but at this point, I just don't think they care. I am PAYING for more boba. It would be nice to receive the very thing you are paying for. read more

I've been going here for the past few weeks and I really like it. They're always friendly and have great drinks. Their macaroons are delicious. I like both the signature and build your own drinks. The build your owns have a water based tea with creamer and toppings. This is nice if you want something light. The osmanthus and jasmine are my favorites. So light and refreshing. This boba shop is one of my favorites so imagine my excitement when I found out that there would be a Teaspoon 5 min away from my house!! My husband and I went here last Sunday. It's located to the left of Whole Foods next to Walgreens. The interior is as expected of a Teaspoon, super cute, clean and I love the signs and faux plants they have. It wasn't that busy which was a little surprising since they had just opened so I sure hope word of mouth gets out! I ordered my favorite drink (Matcha Royale with strawberry jam with oat milk and boba) and my husband ordered their new drink (the violet latte). I have to say that I may have a new favorite, if you like ube, then you're gonna want to try their violet latte, I've been super disappointed with a lot of places because the drinks never taste like ube, but Teaspoon puts a ton of ube jam(and not just a teaspoon hehe) at the bottom of the cup so you don't miss that yummy ube taste, DELICIOUS! Not only are their drinks super pretty, but they're super tasty as well! If you like the viral brown sugar boba, then make sure you try their Caramel Cream or Black Sugar Assam and if you're looking for something super refreshing then try their Grasshopper or the Ladybug. Unfortunately, it was not that great from us. Thai tea was not the traditional flavor, and the ube was not sweet - even though I requested sweet. We had 3 other drinks, nothing too great but they have dolphin jelly, heart, popping and stars too. But they were super accommodating and offered to remake it. My husband ended up with chamoy mango madness, which was probably the best. The cups are tall, thin and top heavy. Not very car friendly. read more

Always new staff that doesn't know much. They make Ube drinks layered with coffee and I asked for it without coffee and they wouldn't change a thing. Mind you the ube and coffee are separated in the drink so it's very doable to just not add coffee and all they kept on saying is no. They used to have friendlier staff now it's something else completely. Last time I'm coming here. Also my wife's drink was made wrong so she got it made again and the staff kept the wrong drink and gave it to another customer after us who ordered it a while later. read more
