I ordered a roasted oolong milk tea and it wasn't too burnt or bitter tasting. Perfect ratio of tea to milk. I definitely want to try the butterfly coconut drink next time. The menu features your typical boba shop offerings of milk teas, fruit tea and snacks like popcorn chicken. The shop is pretty spacious with plenty of seating, and it should be filled with more customers so please come on over to Breaktime Tea!

Perhaps it's missing touches that will make the space cozy. I'm not sure if it needs a couch or cushions on the seats but those sorts of touches may encourage customers to hang out and keep the space occupied. Overall, great place to get your milk tea fix! I'd like to come back and try other drinks on their menu such as their vietnamese iced coffees.

Absolutely the best way to cool down! I was thrilled to discover Ice Monster in Walnut Creek! Not only can I get an authentic Taiwanese shaved ice, but they have an incredible variety of ice flavors (strawberry, mango, green tea, etc) and toppings. They also have boba tea (which also originated in Taiwan), milk tea, regular ice cream, freshly cooked Chinese finger foods, and more. The place has tables inside and out and is always immaculate. I also really appreciate that they don't add the problem of landfills overflowing with plastics! They use real dishes and real silverware. I don't know of any other place that conscientious. I have been going here for 8 years. It was started by a couple from Taiwan and the owners the last several years are from China. They keep the place open seven days a week, but even with that grueling work schedule, the customer service is always fantastic. They go out of their way to keep their customers happy. Apparently, I'm not the only one who loves the place, because when school gets out, the place is filled with teenagers and families with children. It's a great place to hang out. I've tried other places in the East Bay, but this is my absolute favorite place for Chinese shaved ice, boba tea, and other yummy foods. I can't recommend them highly enough!

He always seems to go above and beyond. He's given my daughter a little treat more than once just to make her day, and one time he even helped me carry our baby stroller down the steps even though he absolutely did not have to lol :) Those small moments really stick with you. Great drinks are one thing, but that kind of genuine kindness is what makes a place feel special. It feels a little elevated, a little indulgent, and always like a nice little treat. We love it!!

I added sago for texture and it did give it a nice profile overall. The 4 pieces of lychee also gave it added sweetness to my drink. It was chilled nicely and overall, it did brighten up my mood for the day. I think I need to go to 30% sweet and it will be perfect for me. Overall, I can see myself coming back here again.

The place is a bit small, with claw machines and a small area where they sell merchandise. Ordering is simple via a kiosk. The menu here is unique, meaning that the one in pleasant hill is mainly different than here. I like my roasted milk tea at PH, but I couldn't find it here. Instead, I opted for the Mango Flamingo. Mango Flamingo: Mango green tea with Hibiscus on top. This was a rather floral and delicious drink. The mango portion of the tea was not too sweet and the hibiscus was a nice addition. The mango star jelly added the extra sweetness I liked to complete the drink. Overall, finally nice to try it in person and if I am around the area, looking forward to trying more.
