Caramel milk was good. Not too sweet. It was not busy on a Sunday afternoon, service was quick. Ambiance was casual and comfortable. The heater can be adjusted to a lower degree.

As a boba enthusiast, their signature flavors are fun to try, but at their prices it is a luxury for me. Setting: Very modern, aesthetically pleasing interior. There are games available indoors where folks of all ages can indulge. Service: When asked for drink advice the waiter was sarcastic and it wasn't very helpful leading me to not be satisfied with the order. Drinks: I got the Silky Mango and Dirty Ube. The mango was smooth, but too milky; the Ube was amazing, creamy, and had a round finish.
I wanted a hot drink and also wanted to try the seasonal Ube Astra. My son wanted boba. We have been here many times. Ordered online and came in for pickup around 7:15pm on a Tuesday night. We were the only ones here. Everything went smoothly! I am a regular at Teaspoon and I also have been to many branches of Teaspoon. Service was good and atmosphere of this store is nice. Check out this branch if you haven't.
I ordered a strawberry colada with honey boba which was extra. You have to wait for 15-20 mins to get your drink. They have some games that you can play while waiting for your drink. Also they have free wifi. This place is always full. Their drinks taste heavenly undoubtedly, but I find the place a bit pricey.
As much as I wanted to write a positive review, not sure if my first visit would entice me to come back. The gentleman taking our order was pleasant. The place is pretty roomy for a boba spot. Yet their bathroom had hand written signs. One saying out of order and another saying employees only. We ordered a taro lover with honey boba and a dirty ube coffee. My son wasn't a fan of his taro drink and he loves taro drinks. He said it was just okay. Now for my dirty ube, it was just coffee. I think they forgot to add the ube. Even before, while, and after shaking it, no hint of purple in it to be seen. The coffee was good but it's not what I ordered. And paid more for it. I was bummed.

Inside has a lot of space and the outside has a table in front. I needed some energy after a TJ's run, so I wanted to try the Red Bull Cocolada. They don't use all the Red Bull, so they give you the can with the rest. You're allowed to add 3 different toppings, so I picked Mango stars, lychee and coconut. They don't hold back with the toppings! They give a lot. The combination of the drink and toppings tasted really good. Reminded me of the islands. The coconut is pretty faint but you can taste it. Would come back to try other drinks because they all looked really good!

I live by here but I rarely come here, not sure why. I used to go more to study however it's been a while. I came by because my food across the street had a forty minute wait, but the server was nice and the drink was refreshing. It was clean inside and cool so it's good to avoid the heat.
The best idea to get a iced drink on a hot day. I came in for my birthday drink. They cover up $6 and I pay the difference if the drinks price is higher. I am glad that I ordered online. This place was packed with people. Walk in and out to pick up. Tried the ube dirty latte. It's supposed to have ube taste, but it tastes like regular sweeten coffee to me. I wish the ube taste can be stronger. I would opt for something else next time.

Workers seem to not really care, nor want to be there, just going through the motions, waiting to clock out. Drinks: 1. Seasonal Pumpkin King {2/5 stars, $5} - Was a disappointment. Could barely taste the delicious rich, roasted flavor of the oolong tea. The pumpkin creme was very watered down and diluted. It was also gritty... Not very good at all. 2. Grass hopper {3/5 stars, $6} - Too sweet even with less sweet. Tastes very artificial and has a sour tea flavor... Service: Mediocre. Slow service with no one in front of us. Three baristas and took about 7 mins for two drinks. The employees were very unfriendly and seemed to be annoyed with working. Overall: Just ok. Was better a year ago with friendly service and helpful employees. I guess the franchise ownership has changed... or something.

I decided to try their new Vietnamese coffee menu. I went with the Matcha Vietnamese coffee which was strong but not too bitter and the matcha foam was so flavorful. The two mixed well together. Their boba was also perfect texture. The staff was very friendly. She gave me recommendations and even gave me a sample of their latte. There is a lot of indoor seating. It is located in a plaza so there is a lot of parking available. I recommend trying this place if you're in the area! read more
Stopped by this Teaspoon location for the first time as I'm a pretty big Teaspoon fan, and I was in the neighborhood. Service here was very friendly, and my drink was made pretty promptly after ordering. Ordered the Guava Sunset, and despite adding in boba for $1 extra, the drink came out to a reasonable $7.75. The juice was very fresh and refreshing, and the boba toppings had the perfect level of both softness and chewiness. Loved the freshness of ingredients used here, and the drink was made perfectly with just the right level of sweetness (ordered 25%). Located in a large strip mall, free parking is typically readily available during the weekdays. But this area gets really busy during the weekends. read more

While searching for Shaved Ice Dessert, I remember Teaspoon initially selling this, but upon arrival, their menu didn't offer any Shaved Ice, so I was a little disappointed. Despite not getting my dessert, their menu of macaroons, Mochi donuts & boba drinks look pretty extensive. read more
Yummy!! First time coming to this location and its super cute inside! Not to mention for all you EDM ravers - they play classic Illenium and Slander and others. Beware: No mask no boba!! (Rightfully so) and the cool thing is if you are not happy with your drink they'll remake it. We got the Strawberry Matcha and Creamy Jasmine (both honey boba). Def satisfied the boba cravings!! Teaspoon is still my top go to boba spots here in the bay. read more
I tried teaspoon once at a different location and remembered that my drink was way too sweet last time. This time I got the tarp drink and asked for 0 sweetness and light ice. The taste was just right with 0 sweetness. So I recommend the taro lover w zero sweetness. The taro paste I got seemed less than the picture on the poster. Overall the drink was good but I wish there were more taro paste. read more

I had a recent visit yesterday to check out how this place is faring after recently I became aware that four of the staff quit - half quit with no notice. It was shared with me that they were very unhappy with the new ownership that took over this past summer. I had always appreciated how friendly and proficient their service was. And I definitely noticed that that was missing yesterday when the owner couple had to fill in to cover. Service was slow, chaotic, and dismissive. Orders were mixed up out of order and took excessively long to complete. When I noted this to the owner, she looked at me with a blank face and did not acknowledge; just simply turned around and caried about her ways. While the taste was still on point as I have come to expect, I will come back a bit later hoping that the owners recognize the adjustments that will be needed to have the same level of service I have been accustomed to. read more

Liquid Gold 10/10 Sweetness: 75% Ice: light - creamy - love the oolong tea (not too overwhelming but just perfect and smooth) - boba was SO PERFECT N CHEWY N SWEET - you know how cold brew coffee is smooth? That's how smooth this drink was! Matcha Royale 10/10 Sweetness: 75% Ice: light - matcha is NOT sandy!! Wow first place that didn't lie about their "premium" matcha - again, I love their boba! Overall, great service! The cashier was super nice and explained how the boba is a bit on the sweeter so I was able to adjust the level of sweetness accordingly. The barista was also really nice. The store was super cute on the inside! Overall, glad I finally tried this place. Definitely worth the drive! read more
I went here a few times recently and they are consistent. The staff is friendly here and are very helpful. I had tried the oolong Golden Boba and Taro Milk tea. It has plenty of parking and they are efficient. If your in the area and want good Boba, stop on by and give it a try. . read more

Teaspoon is hands down my favorite boba chain, and this location isn't an exception. Ordered the Grasshopper, Silky Mango, and Taro Lover. All tasted just as amazing as the other times I had them. Staff here is very nice and I had to witness them deal with very distasteful customers. This location sells mochi donuts as well which was a surprise to me! Super clean store and quick + kind service. It was a Sunday when I came in and they were very efficient regardless of only having two employees. read more

Teaspoon is usually my FAVORITE boba shop, so this review is specific to this location. The location changed their hours to Saturday-Friday, closing at 6 PM, which was not reflected anywhere online, only on a sign on the door. I was craving Teaspoon so badly that I returned the following day. I got the black sugar assam and the honeycomb banana milk, both of which are drinks that I have had SEVERAL times at the San Mateo and Palo Alto location and adore. However, the boba pearls were so mushy at this location and the milk tea was so watered down that my sister couldn't even finish the drink. The milk was visibly curdling because of how diluted it was. The banana milk tasted alright, but they gave literally 5 measly CRUMBS of dalgona, which is absolutely NOT the case at the other two mentioned locations. I was so upset and disappointed that I am sitting here writing my first and hopefully last Yelp review. If you're a boba lover like me, I would highly recommend you bring your business to ANY OTHER Teaspoon location. read more
While working in San Ramon during COVID I like taking walks in the afternoon and found this boba place right next to the park located in a little shopping area that had a Trader Joe's and I think a Safeway. It was a fairly busy area. And Teaspoon had such an inviting store front. You can either order on your phone ahead of time, or when you get there from their QR code, and also workers come up to take orders. There is hand sanitizer available. They also say that they have mochi donuts but every time I went they were always out. I think they get the orders at a certain time of the week and they run out pretty quickly. I for sure had to try their honey boba. It's definitely soft and not too sweet. I like their boba than all of the other boba places I usually go to. The first drink I got was their grapefruit garden tea with honey boba. I liked it, it had a strong taste of grapefruit and tea. Then I got their liquid gold because I asked the workers what their most popular or favorite is. It was a little similar to a classic milk tea but less tea like. The service is fairly quick and definitely fulfills a boba fix! read more
Ordered online - House Milk Tea & Grapefruit Garden for pickup. We were a bit early but we let them know and they made our drinks within 5-7 minutes. They had a table set up in front so you can order from there during COVID. There were also 6 ft marked on the ground outside to keep social distant. Roasted Tea Creama ($6) was good and boba was decent as well. It was already mixed when we got it. Grapefruit Garden ($6) was not what I expected. It's not the sour tart I was expecting. I won't be ordering this again but open to trying other drinks. read more
Day 4 of 7 Days of Boba, and stop 2 of my mini boba road trip today, Teaspoon. Just about half a mile down from the City Center Bishop Ranch off Market, it's located in a fairly sized shopping center where CVS and TJ's are located. Kind of a weird set-up of the shopping center, so to get to Teaspoon you'd have to be at the back half of the center to park in front of it, since there's no connection through the middle of the center so you'd have to drive around. Teaspoon has a nice appeal to it, as inside decor is actually kinda cozy, of course that doesn't matter now, but can certainly picture myself chilling inside here in the future when available. They take orders at the front counter (front door), so you can just wait at the front until someone is available to take your order. They appear to have mochi donuts here as well, but does seem a bit on the pricier side, so not sure I'd want to pay that much for a single donut, or even 3 of them at that "bundle" price. They have a decent sized menu on both the drink side and snacks side, but I was only here for the drinks today. Staff who took my order was friendly, no issues. The flavor of the milk tea was good, and as an added note, the tea flavor here is a bit more of a center than usual, so if you like tea, you'd probably like the milk tea drinks here. I asked for 75% sugar, and it was still pretty sweet here, so they are on the sweeter side for drinks. Adjust accordingly. The boba here was probably the best part, as their boba does have its own flavor of sweetness to it, as most places nowadays do not, so if you like chewy/QQ and tasty boba, they definitely make some good ones here. My only thing about the boba here is that the portions aren't that great of the boba, as I had already finished the boba by the time I still had a little less than half a cup of the rest of the drink left, so felt the portions on this could be better. Final verdict, Teaspoon provides some nice decor on the inside for when sitting down is available. Menu is nice, good selection of food and drinks, price wise is okay, size of the drinks are good but they do use those skinny cups instead of the regular ones. Only thing to note is the portion of the boba I got in my drink today, but at least the boba was nice and tasted good. read more

[During Covid Review] Located in a plaza expect a lot of parking which is great. This location abides by covid guidelines where they don't allow customers inside the restaurant, they have their menus taped on the table that way it's easy to read and they really do keep their 6 feet distance. I like how when you order, they have this small case that shows what you can buy from them merchandise wise offering 3 different types of tumblers. They have some cute succulents to add a nice decoration touch to the table. Easy to read menus like I said taped to the tables. They offer boba drinks and snow which you can't go wrong with. I really liked that they ask for your order and pay from a distance. The only complaint was that I couldn't really hear the person taking our order because it was like 10-15ft away and their face was covered with their mask. I ended up ordering the paradise lime with an extra lime, less ice and it was delicious. I love how I can "crush" the lime with my straw to add that lime taste. My fiance ordered the liquid gold and he said it tasted good. I would have to say that since this boba shop is a chain, there isn't much to differentiate themselves from the other chain shops. I do like that it was easy, fast, and safe to order that I felt comfortable during these times we are living in. read more

I consider myself a bubble tea snob. Wait, I should call myself a connoisseur (haha) because I've tried countless boba places since the beginning of boba back in the 90s. What constitute good boba? It being chewy and bouncy and not overly sweet. So for the many years that Teaspoon has opened, I've never bother trying. Why?! Because it started nearby, in Los Altos....not from Taiwan or some Asian country!!! Well well well that is on me for missing out that many years of good tea and good boba right in my backyard! Thank goodness I forgot my water one day after shopping at TJ and desperately needed something to drink. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I love their fruity drinks. Give it try. It's started by a woman raised in immigrant family. Oh and this location has great costumer service too! They will remake a drink for you if it's not to your liking. Why the 4 stars and not 5 stars? Well, while the fruity drink was good, I feel that the classic milk tea and their black sugar assam felt like it needed a little more ump! I want to taste the tea in my milk tea. So it's a personal preference. read more
I like Teaspoon but somehow their milk tea just always tastes more watery than I'd like my drinks to be in general. I want my drinks to be more on the creamy side. It would also be a plus if the flavor/bitterness of the tea could come through as well. With that said, I ordered 2 House Milk Tea drinks with boba. The price was not too bad - it was pretty reasonable. One thing that I noticed was really good was the boba - it was soft and nicely sweetened. Nothing I'd dislike more than bland/not sufficiently sweetened tapioca balls. But this Teaspoon definitely made their boba nice, they cooked it super well. The milk drink I really think could use a little more cream. Especially when I ordered less sugar, I could barely taste the milk as it tasted really watered down. That would be my only suggestion for improvement. As for the ordering/purchase process during the pandemic, it was really easy. I walked into the store and they kinda brought the counter where you'd place your orders closer to the entrance. And then (okay this was kinda weird but apparently it worked) you'd just have to kinda screamed out to the cashier that was about 15 feet away from you what you wanted to order. Lol, again, it worked though. Then you could just pay with your credit card right where you'd place your order, and then they'd bring out the drinks for you. It was very well thought out. I liked it, and I felt safe when I was there. read more
I previously had Teaspoon at their other locations throughout the Bay Area, and it wasn't my cup of tea. However, after hanging out in San Ramon and working up a thirst, my party and I decided to give Teaspoon another try. I ordered the Grapefruit Garden (grapefruit infused green tea with fresh grapefruit juice). My drink was prepared quickly and tasted fine, but unfortunately it was still way too sweet for me even after adjusting the sweetness level. The store itself is nice and clean with a fair amount of seating. It is located in a plaza with parking, and staff was friendly. Overall, I have come to the conclusion that I am just not a fan of Teaspoon, but if you're in the area and craving boba, this is one of the few options to check out! read more

Yes, there is free wifi. They play music in the background, but not too loud, so you can still study. Comfy seating, spacious tables, and convenient charging ports.
