Teaspoon is a good boba shop in Downtown Brea. I ordered a Taro Lover with ube crème and boba. The drink was delicious. I love a good ube and taro combination and I would recommend if you also like Ube. The Ube overpower the drink a bit more, but the flavor is good (especially for the mix of flavors). I especially like how you can select whether you want taro pieces in your drink or not. This provides a great customizable experience. The boba is good, chewy, and sweet. The staff is also very nice, and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside in case you wanted to chat over a drink. Overall good shop with options to order on a kiosk or in person!
Great space with many tables for studying. The lychee had a good black tea flavor. The matcha mango sticky rice was really good, but the sticky rice at the bottom would be hard to drink, so I didn't have sticky rice with every bite (which was unfortunate, it would be nice if the sticky rice were in smaller pieces instead of a huge ball). Matcha flavor was decent, the mango flavor was stronger than the matcha. Overall, would come again if I was in the area.

One unique feature is the instant self-photo printing station inside the shop, which adds a fun experience while hanging out with friends. I ordered the Green Tea Double Matcha Latte, and it was really delicious. The service was good as well. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely come back again.
Teaspoon is on the back side of Birch Street, next to the movie theater. The decor is cute -- love the stringed photographs as it makes the area welcoming. In a hurry, so I grabbed a matcha to stay up tonight. Good service, my matcha was good and a pretty run-of-the-mill boba setup.
Super sweet employees, super sweet location, super sweet Photo Booth, and super sweet drinks. Not sure if there's an option to adjust sweetness like other boba places, but I wasn't offered, and my drink was so sweet it was hard to drink.
Located in the downtown area. I love coming here if I ever am seeing a movie nearby or eating at Cha Cha's haha. PARKING: Free parking available in the nearby structure about 1-2 blocks away or 20 minute street parking. CREAMY JASMINE: Sweet jasmine green tea infused with cream. I like getting this with less ice, 75% sweetness, and boba as a topping. MATCHA ROYALE: Ceremonial matcha green tea infused with organic milk. You can get this plain matcha or add strawberries. I like getting it with strawberry. CLASSIC THAI TEA: Slow steeped thai tea topped with organic cream. I like getting this with less ice, 75% sweetness, and boba as a topping.
I love anything Biscoff, so I had high hopes for this Biscoff matcha. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. I wish it had a stronger Biscoff flavor and more cold foam, as I felt both were lacking. The service was fine it was a quick order and go experience. The place was cute and had a nice cafe atmosphere.
Nice Boba spot located on Birch Steet in Brea. I am not personally a fan of boba but my kiddo is. I'd personally recommend the spicy mango drink with tajin. Their matcha is good too. Best part is you can order on the kiosk and see the drink details if you want to take your time. They also have a free photo op! Download their app for discounts too.
I love my boba drinks so when I saw this place pop up in downtown Brea I had to try it! Mind you since I don't like my drinks very sweet I generally always order a fresh tea with no sugar and boba or coconut jelly. Today I ordered the Earl Grey tea, no sugar with light ice and the honey boba. The tea was good but the bobas were slightly mushy and they don't give you very much boba considering they charge $1 for the extra topping. The ambience is cute inside and the service was good. I do like their motto of " Enjoy life one teaspoon at a time". This is a good boba tea place but I just wish they gave a little more boba and it wasn't quite so mushy, in all fairness, maybe it was just an off day for their boba. Based on their service and ambience I would rate Teaspoon a 3.5.
Cute boba shop located in Downtown Brea. I was wanting some boba tea after having a late lunch. This one was right down the street. Perfect! I walked in and there was a line. I guess that's a good thing, right? Lines means the boba is good I hope lol I waited for the 4 people in front of me and walked up to order. They have a sample of the day in a dish, on the counter. I wanted to try that sample of the day flavor. It was the guava and pineapple flavor. Not bad actually. I don't care for guava much. I ordered a Creamy Jasmine, and my husband ordered a Vietnamese Frapp. I liked the creamy jasmine. It was light and tasty. The drink itself is lower calorie compared to some of the others. My husband enjoyed his Frappuccino. The drinks were made pretty quick. I would come back here again. Probably order a different drink though.
Came on a weekday early evening and it wasn't too busy. Parking situation is like any downtown area, either street or structure parking. Parking was free in the structure my friends and I parked at, and it was easy to find a spot as it was a weekday and it was multi-leveled. They have both ordering at the counter and through one self-order kiosk. Got the Silky Mango with matcha foam as a ~$1 add-on. They don't allow sweetness adjustment on this drink, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, just a heads up. I found it to be a little too sweet for my liking (I'm a 60-80% sweetness for boba type of person). The drink was alright on its own. It tasted a bit off and I'm thinking it might be the mango puree making it taste weird to me. I thought that the matcha foam helped it though and was nicely made. For the price, I personally wouldn't get this drink again. Overall, I don't think that this is the shop for me. Service seems nice though, parking is average, and there's a variety of drinks available. Quality and price of the drinks just wasn't for me.
Glad I came back to try this place again. Really enjoyed the ube Vietnamese drink as well as the Taro Lover. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Will return to try the limited Cupid's Kiss
The service was great from the second i walked in the young lady working was super sweet and recommended a few drinks because i was confused on what to get ! Very affordable! I thought the place was super cute ... i love the little photo machine they have when you pick up your drink you can take your picture and put it on the wall with all the others! That was the best part to me honestly i like places that have their own little thing to remember the place by! Fun atmosphere, id def come back again!
I can't say I was impressed with the drinks at Teaspoon. Decided to come by on a Sunday afternoon to try a few drinks. Ordered the Creamy Jasmine ($6), Taro Lover($6), and Silky Strawberry ($6.50). I usually opt for jasmine milk tea at every boba shop I visit but the creamy jasmine here lacked jasmine flavor and was quite watered down IMO. The taro is another staple if caffeine isn't preferred - though I liked the real taro chunks within the drink, the taro based drink seemed powdered rather than fresh. The winner of the bunch was the silly strawberry, earning Teaspoon the 3 stars. There was a decent amount of strawberry marmalade included that paired well with the milk and honey boba. A refreshing drink any time of the day that I'd definitely come back for. Located in Downtown Brea, across from Bath & Body Works. Free structure parking available. read more
Teaspoon is a boba shop located in Downtown Brea next to Bruxie. It's right across from the parking structure. They have a variety of milk teas, signature drinks, coffee, and lemonade. You can also customize your lemonade with a variety of different flavors. I ordered the Caramel Cream. It consists of hand roasted caramel and organic milk. I ordered it without the honey boba. The drink was wonderful. Great balance of milk and caramel. Nice caramel flavor with it not being overbearing. It wasn't overly sweet and thankfully did not give me a migraine or stomach ache which usually happens when I have these milky drinks. The service was pretty good. Cashier was friendly and drinks arrived within a few minutes. Shop was well-ventilated and somewhat spacious. It wasnt crowded at the time we went. There was a couple sitting side by side at the far end and a party of three that sat only for a couple of minutes before leaving. There was also another party of two near the entrance of the shop. Luckily there was no sitting next to us otherwise there would be absolutely no privacy in terms of conversing. After a while, we saw that there was an employee mopping the floor. The cleaner smell was so strong and incredibly distracting. We left and sat outside across the way. I enjoyed the Caramel Cream and would definitely order it again and possibly try more of their drinks. Could have been 5 stars but had to drop because of the horrible cleaner smell. Hopefully there will be no cleaner smell next time. I'd be back for another visit! read more

I saw this place trending on Tiktok so my best friend and I decided to stop by. We walked in and instantly started looking at their "photo booth" wall because it had a lot of funny pictures on it! I think they let you take pics and hang them up, sadly while we were there they weren't doing them. The workers were friendly and welcoming. They explained a lot of the menu to everyone. The lady infront of us seemed a little difficult and kept asking for hot drink that they didn't have. The worker ended up going out of his way to try to make those hot drinks and asked us to give them a few minutes. I ended up getting their limited edition matcha pudding because it looks soooo yummy. AND IT WAS! They did a collaboration with Hapa cupcakes and they use Hapas banana pudding on top of their matcha. They recommend eating it with a spoon because it won't mix well in the drink. The spoonfuls of pudding and matcha paired very well with each other. I downed the whole drink almost instantly. 10/10 I will for-sure be back soon!! read more

TLDR: customer service is INCREDIBLE. Teaspoon is the best!! I was debating between the Brown Sugar Assam & the Caramel Cream; the boba-rista overheard my conversation and came to confirm which I wanted. He came back and gave me BOTH to try; I could not thank him enough! They both tasted absolutely incredible - not only did that boba-rista make my night, but the two drinks he made were out of the park. I would 100% recommend either; Black Sugar Assam is my old-faithful, but the Caramel Cream tasted a little sweeter & was still amazing. Inside, there are seats available and everyone is so friendly. First time at this location and was pretty impressed with their service. The girl working the counter was so helpful in answering my questions and gave me suggestions based on what I liked. I ended up ordering the Ladybug, which was a very refreshing drink. However, I thought it was on the pricier side considering I didn't even add any toppings. The inside of the store is very clean and inviting. They have plenty of seating and outlets so you can work while enjoying your drink. They also have free wifi! read more
ORDER matcha royale (3.5/5) i got less sweet and light ice. i wish the matcha flavor was stronger, but the drink was still pretty good. it was a little too sweet for my liking, so next time ill ask for a lower sweetness %. i liked the texture and flavor of the boba. drinks i took a sip of LMAO creamy jasmine (4/5) the tea flavor was strong and the drink wasn't too sweet. i liked this more than other jasmine creams at other places. caramel cream (1/5) our least favorite drink of the night. lychee on lychee (3.5/5) switched the black tea out for green tea. overall super refreshing silky strawberry (3/5) nothing special + it wasn't too sweet, which i liked honeycomb banana milk (4/5) everyone's favorite HAHA it was basically just banana milk, but it tastes super nostalgic! no complaints SERVICE (5/5) we came in with a big order 1 hour before closing and ordered on the kiosk. with such a big order, there was a little bit of a wait, which is super understandable. overall, the staff was super accommodating and quick. thank you!! AMBIANCE there are plenty of seats available indoors and a few outside. there is free parking provided as well. read more
Yay I'm the 100th reviewer! Came here on the whim today because I needed to charge my car and meet up with a friend. Haven't been in downtown Brea in a long time.. since high school/college days... I was also craving tea drinks. Glad to find this place. The drinks are so tasty! Location - downtown brea. Parking - street or structure parking (free) Interior decor - clean and simple with cute seasonal Christmas theme. Love the teaspoon logo on wall. The store is very spacious with several tables. There's also patio seating too. Drinks - I ordered the mango drink for my kids and the Dirty Ube for myself. My girls loved the mango drink. As for the Dirty Ube, I love ube, coffee, and milk tea so this drink was the best of all three worlds. For these mixed drinks, they suggest that you mix it up once you are ready to drink it. When mixed, It has a unique clean/smooth taste. You can tell they use quality ingredients. In the beginning, you can taste each section even when mixed which was pleasantly nice. Later, it kind of taste like a light chocolate coffee tea flavor (this can just be me) which i liked because I love chocolate too. I did buy other drinks but bought them for other people as gifts. Additional plus is that they make the drinks so pretty! My friend said it looks so nicely made that he didn't want to shake it up. Haha. Service - the service was excellent. They were so nice and helpful. Also patient with us since it was our first time here, we took a bit trying to decide what to order. After we came, two large groups came in to order. New boba spot in Downtown Brea! Such a cute store and looks like they're opening a few more locations in SoCal soon. There's a parking structure and parking lot close by. Very clean store with a good amount of seating inside. You can place an order at the register, at the kiosk, or online. I tried the following drinks: - Creamy Jasmine (sweet jasmine green tea infused with cream) - Black Sugar Assam (comes with boba) - Lychee Black Tea All the drinks were good, but the creamy jasmine was my favorite. I also enjoyed their boba. They have some classic drinks and signature crafted drinks to choose from. It is a little pricey, about $6-$7 each drink but I think a lot of places are similar in cost now. Overall, will definitely come back to try their other items. read more

One of the Best Grand Opening for a Boba Shop I attended. We were lucky to be # 95 & # 96, first 100 customers gets a free limited Bamboo bottle & a free drink. Next 101-200 gets a bamboo bottle We arrived a few minutes b4 11 a.m. line was already long. Love how Teaspoon kept their customer hydrated with a sample tea station. You were able to go to the table or even the barista would walk and ask customers in line to sample a few of their best seller. They also hosted entertainment with every half and hour giveaways. The owner was really nice & genuine. The Finale giveaway was a Quest VR. Had balloon artist also making balloon art for the kids & Big kids too! They had a Grand Opening special all weekend. Bogo free So of course I had to jump on that deal! Couldn't pass that up! What I Ordered ~ Matcha Royale w Strawberry was good. The fresh strawberry purée definitely recommended. Add a subtle strawberry flavor into the mix. ~ Caramel Cream was like a brown sugar boba drink ~ Flamingo was a watermelon drink w a layer of passion fruit juice. The seeds from the passion fruit can somewhat be a bit too much. ~ Guava Sunset, pretty refreshing & highly recommended. All of Their drinks was really yummy & boba also was chewy goodness. Parking is a bit limited out front but there's plenty in the parking structure. The boba tea shop is so cute. With floral design. Very modern & Chic. I'll definitely be back for more especially their cust mer service is superb. They have a sign where you pick up your drinks "Satisfaction Guaranteed. Stopped by to try the Double Matcha Latte ($7), and it did not disappoint! It was so smooth and I loved how strong the matcha flavor was. The baristas were super friendly, and the space inside is great, with plenty of tables to meet a friend or get some studying done. There are a few parking spots out front, which is always a plus. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks! read more

Been here twice and friendly service, plenty of seating. Pretty overwhelming sweet smell upon entering but acclimation after a bit. Good drinks and toppings and priced as most other places. There's quite a few drink shops nearby now and this fits in the rotation as a good option with seating until 10PM. read more

Happy that they opened this boba spot in Brea. It's convenient when you are dining in the area or catching a movie and can just walk over to get boba. There are a few tables to sit at and they have a self serve kiosk you can order at if you prefer that over ordering with the cashier. The drinks were good and parking is convenient in the plaza. They have a variety of drinks to choose from so there's something for everyone! read more
This place was my favorite when I was up in Norcal. Ecstatic that they made their way down South! I love the grasshopper with that splash of cucumber, delicious!! It is on the sweeter side so ask for half sugar. The bubbles are chewy but portion is on the stingy side. You know it's stingy when you're done with bubbles and still have half of your drink left. A friend introduced me to their Davis location when I was in Norcal. I thought it was a pretty good boba location up north so I was excited to give this location a try when they opened two weeks ago. Ordered the standard house milk tea as a baseline to see if they make good milk tea. Also ordered the creamy jasmine since they didn't make the drink I had at Davis, I just went with something similar and she enjoyed the drink so it was all good. The service was relatively quick even with a long queue we were able to get our drinks in under 10 minutes time. Even saw a dude who probably frequented a teaspoons location that did an really customized drink that the staff had to ask the manager how to make cause it had a custom tea off their full menu and not pre-made so that was intriguing to watch. Flavor of the drinks was still quality and not overly sweet and the fragrance of the jasmine milk tea was definitely there. The place was pretty clean and simply decorated with their merch near the entrance so people could buy. read more
Found a new spot for boba drinks! Teaspoon, located in the heart of downtown Brea. There are two places where you can place an order - kiosk or the cashier at the counter. The ambiance is very cosy, modern, and clean. I love the atmosphere. Drink choices are plenty and unique, I love the fact that it has mocktail inspired drinks. Cassie and I ended up getting the Black Sugar Assam and the regular milk tea. I highly recommend the black sugar - it's so rich and good! The classic milk tea- not so much, tastes like plain Jane. Vegan review: My friend and I came to Teaspoon Brea for a while today. Overall, Teaspoon Brea is a good study spot to come with friends for a while, but there are better local places to get boba drinks. The cashier Kalli was very kind and helpful with letting me know which drinks could be made dairy-free or not. The drink I wanted was the "Taro Lover" but the cashier told me that drink could not be made dairy-free, unfortunately. I got the "Creamy Jasmine" instead and my friend got the "Classic Thai Tea". The drinks were okay, not bad, but not great. I was left disappointed with my drink because it really wasn't creamy as advertised. The thai tea comes with honey boba and it costs extra to substitute it for brown sugar boba. There was ample seating indoors and outdoors. The wifi worked perfectly. The music was a bit loud, so heads up for those who are bothered by that. 3 stars for drinks, 4 stars for service and ambiance read more

The service was quick and efficient. The staff were professional & friendly. It's like a good hang out spot if you want to drink tea & just enjoy each other's company.. they even had a mini photo area where you can opt to take pics to post on the wall. read more
Came after dinner to get some drinks! I got the taro loved and my boyfriend got the ladybug. Drinks were pretty good, we came at night so it was a little busy but we were still able to find seating. There is 20 minute street parking or a parking structure a block over. They also have a photo taker in the corner by where you pick up drinks. read more

I was leaving a Pilates class when I yelped "boba" because I wanted something cold and refreshing. When teaspoon popped up I had no idea there was even a boba spot in birch street, I think it's the perfect place and I'm surprised we haven't had one there sooner. The workers are super friendly and offered me samples of their taro and guava tea. I ended up getting a milk tea since thats what I was originally craving and it did not disappoint. I'll definitely come back for the guava refresher tho! read more

This review is solely based off of the viral Double Matcha that they just came out with. It was very good! A solid 9/10 with no complaints. You can adjust the sweetness which is nice. I ordered mine less sweet with oat milk and it was perfect sweetness. It was very creamy, without compromising the richness in matcha flavor. I would definitely come back for this drink alone! read more

I recently visited TEASPOON and tried two of their signature drinks. The presentation alone was impressive. each beverage was carefully layered, making them visually appealing. Had such a lovely time here on Saturday afternoon with some new friends! It's a lovely and bright space with great drink selections and beautiful ambiance! The staff were very friendly, and served our customized, and oh so delicious drinks quickly. I enjoyed the seasonal paloma drink with lychee jelly.
