Came on a weekday afternoon, and there was no wait to order or trouble finding a table to sit at. I like the free photo receipt printer they have by the drink pick up area. I got the Double Matcha ($7.00). This drink only comes as a small size. I got 50% sweet, and the flavor was strong enough for me. I wouldn't say it was the best matcha I've ever had, but it was still good! It wasn't grainy, which I appreciated. Overall, I enjoyed my drink!
I love my boba drinks so when I saw this place pop up in downtown Brea I had to try it! Mind you since I don't like my drinks very sweet I generally always order a fresh tea with no sugar and boba or coconut jelly. Today I ordered the Earl Grey tea, no sugar with light ice and the honey boba. The tea was good but the bobas were slightly mushy and they don't give you very much boba considering they charge $1 for the extra topping. The ambience is cute inside and the service was good. I do like their motto of " Enjoy life one teaspoon at a time". This is a good boba tea place but I just wish they gave a little more boba and it wasn't quite so mushy, in all fairness, maybe it was just an off day for their boba. Based on their service and ambience I would rate Teaspoon a 3.5.
Located in the downtown area. I love coming here if I ever am seeing a movie nearby or eating at Cha Cha's haha. PARKING: Free parking available in the nearby structure about 1-2 blocks away or 20 minute street parking. CREAMY JASMINE: Sweet jasmine green tea infused with cream. I like getting this with less ice, 75% sweetness, and boba as a topping. MATCHA ROYALE: Ceremonial matcha green tea infused with organic milk. You can get this plain matcha or add strawberries. I like getting it with strawberry. CLASSIC THAI TEA: Slow steeped thai tea topped with organic cream. I like getting this with less ice, 75% sweetness, and boba as a topping.
Cute boba shop located in Downtown Brea. I was wanting some boba tea after having a late lunch. This one was right down the street. Perfect! I walked in and there was a line. I guess that's a good thing, right? Lines means the boba is good I hope lol I waited for the 4 people in front of me and walked up to order. They have a sample of the day in a dish, on the counter. I wanted to try that sample of the day flavor. It was the guava and pineapple flavor. Not bad actually. I don't care for guava much. I ordered a Creamy Jasmine, and my husband ordered a Vietnamese Frapp. I liked the creamy jasmine. It was light and tasty. The drink itself is lower calorie compared to some of the others. My husband enjoyed his Frappuccino. The drinks were made pretty quick. I would come back here again. Probably order a different drink though.
The service was great from the second i walked in the young lady working was super sweet and recommended a few drinks because i was confused on what to get ! Very affordable! I thought the place was super cute ... i love the little photo machine they have when you pick up your drink you can take your picture and put it on the wall with all the others! That was the best part to me honestly i like places that have their own little thing to remember the place by! Fun atmosphere, id def come back again!
Came on a weekday early evening and it wasn't too busy. Parking situation is like any downtown area, either street or structure parking. Parking was free in the structure my friends and I parked at, and it was easy to find a spot as it was a weekday and it was multi-leveled. They have both ordering at the counter and through one self-order kiosk. Got the Silky Mango with matcha foam as a ~$1 add-on. They don't allow sweetness adjustment on this drink, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, just a heads up. I found it to be a little too sweet for my liking (I'm a 60-80% sweetness for boba type of person). The drink was alright on its own. It tasted a bit off and I'm thinking it might be the mango puree making it taste weird to me. I thought that the matcha foam helped it though and was nicely made. For the price, I personally wouldn't get this drink again. Overall, I don't think that this is the shop for me. Service seems nice though, parking is average, and there's a variety of drinks available. Quality and price of the drinks just wasn't for me.
I like how late Teaspoon stays open, so I usually come here to hang out with friends. They currently have a promotional matcha flight, and it was delicious. It consists of banana matcha, double matcha, ube matcha, and sea salt matcha. The service is good, and they even have a small picture taking machine near the drinks pick up counter. The interior is nice and cozy, with a few tables and seats available.
Such a win for Brea to have this matcha place! Came here for the matcha tasting, so can only review that. Came with four flavors: seas salt, banana, ube, and double matcha, and they were solid. I enjoyed the double and sea salt, while my cousins enjoyed the other two; so great how that worked out. Huge location that can easily sit a group of people and its bustling because it's on a busy location. Came for the novelty of a matcha tasting (that I think is only temporary), coming back for solid drinks.
Good location next to a free parking garage. Horrible WiFi, so wouldn't come here to work. + Hojicha tea ($6 + $1 matcha foam; less sweet): birthday discount so $6 off was a good deal, hojicha just tasted like green tea, couldn't really taste hojicha flavor but matcha foam was delicious, both sweet and strong (7/10)
Decided to try this boba spot because it was close to a friend's house. I remember seeing the business being constructed, so I was excited to give them a try. I got the jasmine tea with cheese cream at 50% sweet and it was great! I felt like the sweetness level was just right for me, where it wasn't overly sweet. The jasmine flavor wasn't very prominent for me, but maybe I'm just into really strong jasmine tastes. You can order at the front or on the kiosk that's off to the side, and they'll call your name when it's ready. I also love that they have a camera to take quick paper prints from. You're then able to add your photo to the wall of photos. There's a few seating options inside and very limited outside. I think it'd be really fun if they had some board games for people to play while sitting there.

The service was quick and efficient. The staff were professional & friendly. It's like a good hang out spot if you want to drink tea & just enjoy each other's company.. they even had a mini photo area where you can opt to take pics to post on the wall. read more
Came after dinner to get some drinks! I got the taro loved and my boyfriend got the ladybug. Drinks were pretty good, we came at night so it was a little busy but we were still able to find seating. There is 20 minute street parking or a parking structure a block over. They also have a photo taker in the corner by where you pick up drinks. read more
One of the Best Grand Opening for a Boba Shop I attended. We were lucky to be # 95 & # 96, first 100 customers gets a free limited Bamboo bottle & a free drink. Next 101-200 gets a bamboo bottle We arrived a few minutes b4 11 a.m. line was already long. Love how Teaspoon kept their customer hydrated with a sample tea station. You were able to go to the table or even the barista would walk and ask customers in line to sample a few of their best seller. They also hosted entertainment with every half and hour giveaways. The owner was really nice & genuine. The Finale giveaway was a Quest VR. Had balloon artist also making balloon art for the kids & Big kids too! They had a Grand Opening special all weekend. Bogo free So of course I had to jump on that deal! Couldn't pass that up! What I Ordered ~ Matcha Royale w Strawberry was good. The fresh strawberry purée definitely recommended. Add a subtle strawberry flavor into the mix. ~ Caramel Cream was like a brown sugar boba drink ~ Flamingo was a watermelon drink w a layer of passion fruit juice. The seeds from the passion fruit can somewhat be a bit too much. ~ Guava Sunset, pretty refreshing & highly recommended. All of Their drinks was really yummy & boba also was chewy goodness. Parking is a bit limited out front but there's plenty in the parking structure. The boba tea shop is so cute. With floral design. Very modern & Chic. I'll definitely be back for more especially their cust mer service is superb. They have a sign where you pick up your drinks "Satisfaction Guaranteed. Found a new spot for boba drinks! Teaspoon, located in the heart of downtown Brea. There are two places where you can place an order - kiosk or the cashier at the counter. The ambiance is very cosy, modern, and clean. I love the atmosphere. Drink choices are plenty and unique, I love the fact that it has mocktail inspired drinks. Cassie and I ended up getting the Black Sugar Assam and the regular milk tea. I highly recommend the black sugar - it's so rich and good! The classic milk tea- not so much, tastes like plain Jane. Been here twice and friendly service, plenty of seating. Pretty overwhelming sweet smell upon entering but acclimation after a bit. Good drinks and toppings and priced as most other places. There's quite a few drink shops nearby now and this fits in the rotation as a good option with seating until 10PM. read more

A friend introduced me to their Davis location when I was in Norcal. I thought it was a pretty good boba location up north so I was excited to give this location a try when they opened two weeks ago. Ordered the standard house milk tea as a baseline to see if they make good milk tea. Also ordered the creamy jasmine since they didn't make the drink I had at Davis, I just went with something similar and she enjoyed the drink so it was all good. The service was relatively quick even with a long queue we were able to get our drinks in under 10 minutes time. Even saw a dude who probably frequented a teaspoons location that did an really customized drink that the staff had to ask the manager how to make cause it had a custom tea off their full menu and not pre-made so that was intriguing to watch. Flavor of the drinks was still quality and not overly sweet and the fragrance of the jasmine milk tea was definitely there. The place was pretty clean and simply decorated with their merch near the entrance so people could buy. read more
This place is open late which is great for casual meetups. The tea sweetness is adjustable but they don't tend to be very sweet to begin with. The drinks are made to order and I liked how creative the naming and pairings are! read more
Vegan review: My friend and I came to Teaspoon Brea for a while today. Overall, Teaspoon Brea is a good study spot to come with friends for a while, but there are better local places to get boba drinks. The cashier Kalli was very kind and helpful with letting me know which drinks could be made dairy-free or not. The drink I wanted was the "Taro Lover" but the cashier told me that drink could not be made dairy-free, unfortunately. I got the "Creamy Jasmine" instead and my friend got the "Classic Thai Tea". The drinks were okay, not bad, but not great. I was left disappointed with my drink because it really wasn't creamy as advertised. The thai tea comes with honey boba and it costs extra to substitute it for brown sugar boba. There was ample seating indoors and outdoors. The wifi worked perfectly. The music was a bit loud, so heads up for those who are bothered by that. 3 stars for drinks, 4 stars for service and ambiance read more

Craving some tea and ended up here. The girls at the counter super sweet and friendly and even gave us suggestions. We ordered the ladybug and the Matcha Royale. Both drinks hands down good. Highly recommend this place not only for the service, the place is nice and clean and the drinks are very good. Give them a try! read more

This review is solely based off of the viral Double Matcha that they just came out with. It was very good! A solid 9/10 with no complaints. You can adjust the sweetness which is nice. I ordered mine less sweet with oat milk and it was perfect sweetness. It was very creamy, without compromising the richness in matcha flavor. I would definitely come back for this drink alone! read more

I fell for the tiktok ads for the double matcha and lowkey it's pretty good! Not too grainy, lightly sweet, 7 bucks, not bad highkey. Theres also a thing to take a photo for free which was so cute! Not bad for price and quality read more

I recently visited TEASPOON and tried two of their signature drinks. The presentation alone was impressive. each beverage was carefully layered, making them visually appealing. Beyond the drinks, the ambiance was cozy, and even has a small Photo Booth. Service was great from Elise. Thank you. read more

I was leaving a Pilates class when I yelped "boba" because I wanted something cold and refreshing. When teaspoon popped up I had no idea there was even a boba spot in birch street, I think it's the perfect place and I'm surprised we haven't had one there sooner. The workers are super friendly and offered me samples of their taro and guava tea. I ended up getting a milk tea since thats what I was originally craving and it did not disappoint. I'll definitely come back for the guava refresher tho! read more

I tried the strawberry matcha at Teaspoon for the first time, and it was amazing! The combo of matcha and strawberry was perfectly balanced--creamy and refreshing. I can't remember what my sister ordered, but she didn't really like the tiny pieces in it! Also, the employee complimented my lashes, so I might just be back because of that alone--haha, kidding (or am I?). Either way, can't wait to try more! read more

Wait was pretty bad for my drink but I'm a patient guy so I didn't complain. But I ordered a black sugar assam with black sugar boba which I assumed would be somewhat sweet and after about a 10 minute wait I was pretty disappointed that the drink was not sweet at all, the boba even oddly tasted a little sour. Staff seemed nice but the drink was one of the worst black sugar boba drinks I've ever had to the point I couldn't even finish my drink . read more

Love coming here when I need something refreshing. My go to is the ladybug 10/10 I always get it 75% sweet ( a delish passion fruit juice mixed w/green tea) Hubby got the Thai tea & rated it a 8/10. My nephew got the grasshopper( lychee green tea topped with cucumber juice) he rated it a 9/10. Service is always friendly & fast. When it gets busy they have a kiosk to order as well. Plenty of seating just wish they had somewhere to plug my laptop so I can work since its nice & quiet & free wifi. read more
Had such a lovely time here on Saturday afternoon with some new friends! It's a lovely and bright space with great drink selections and beautiful ambiance! The staff were very friendly, and served our customized, and oh so delicious drinks quickly. I enjoyed the seasonal paloma drink with lychee jelly. i love this boba spot because of their unique flavor combinations! they have many non-caffeinated options, which is a great plus for someone who can't have caffeine. the inside is clean and there's a lot of seating if you wanted to study here. i was greeted with a smile and ordered the caramel cream, which was honestly soo yummy! only thing is that i was sad there was no other milk alternative than oat milk (not the biggest fan of oat milk) their drinks are on the sweeter side so go down in sweetness if you prefer that! otherwise, great staff and great drinks :) read more

I'm so happy to see a good boba shop open up in this part of Brea! Teaspoon is conveniently located in downtown Brea so you can with park on the street or in the structure and walk over. The owner was super friendly and even offered samples of their toppings if I needed help picking. They even had a bottle of tea to sample if you wanted to try something before ordering. So far I've tried the house milk tea (4/5), liquid gold (4.5/5), creamy jasmine (4/5), black sugar assam (3/5), and grasshopper (5/5). Almost all the drinks I've tried have been solid, and their taste has been consistent each time I've come. I thought their drinks were a bit on the pricy side, but for being in downtown Brea and how nice the shop is inside, I feel like the price is fair. What really makes me love this place though is the customer service! Everyone is super friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a positive experience.
