Located in a cute little area that lights up at night. I've been meaning to try this place per a friend's recommendation. A little walk from the parking structure but came with a nice view. Staff was extremely nice and welcoming, already greeting us with a smile right when we walked in the door. My friend and i got the silky mango and silky strawberry. Both were good but nothing crazy. The mango one is on the sweeter side so make sure to adjust the sugar level to your preference. The strawberry one however was perfect at 100% sweetness. Our drinks came out fairly fast after ordering. The inside had a lot of little cute decor and tons of places for you to sit. As well is different places for you to take pictures with your drink. I'm so happy to see a good boba shop open up in this part of Brea! Teaspoon is conveniently located in downtown Brea so you can with park on the street or in the structure and walk over. The owner was super friendly and even offered samples of their toppings if I needed help picking. They even had a bottle of tea to sample if you wanted to try something before ordering. So far I've tried the house milk tea (4/5), liquid gold (4.5/5), creamy jasmine (4/5), black sugar assam (3/5), and grasshopper (5/5). Almost all the drinks I've tried have been solid, and their taste has been consistent each time I've come. I thought their drinks were a bit on the pricy side, but for being in downtown Brea and how nice the shop is inside, I feel like the price is fair. What really makes me love this place though is the customer service! Everyone is super friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a positive experience. Went there on a Sunday afternoon and pre ordered my drink online. The order said it would take 20 min. I got there in 5 minutes and waited for my drink. There were a lot of people and it was awkward to stand and wait since there are small tables that line the walls where you would basically be standing in front of. A table freed up so I was able to sit right in front of the counter where the orders were coming out. I never heard my name called and after 30 min after I placed my order, I asked them about it. Well my drink was just sitting on the counter looking dull! I asked them when it was ready and the boy that worked there said he just started his shift so he didn't know. A young girl that worked there was nice enough to ask if I would like the drink freshened up since it looked like the ice was already melting. She even asked if I wanted her to make it all over, which I didn't and only wanted more ice. I think with all the employees moving around but not really accomplishing anything, they need help with the management of them to be more productive. It seemed some people were waiting a while for their drinks. I hope mine was a fluke and they should consider calling out loud every order, even if it was an online order. Don't expect people will walk in after their order is completed and ask for it. Also, employees should be aware of single customers just standing or sitting there waiting like they are bored.. why else would I be waiting and waiting? How about some customer service? I don't blame the employees, but maybe they should be trained on that type of stuff. I ordered the Rose petal oolong tea with an add-on of taro chunks. It turned out to be a milk tea with MINIMAL taro. Barely any at all. 50% sweet was still pretty sweet. Attached is a picture so you can see at the bottom the taro. Nothing on the sides of the cup at all, not that I expected it but the amount was very small. Oh well, now I know. It was $6.50 total. I think being in a good location like this one with friendly employees should do well and I hope they do. I like to have a variety of boba places to go to near my house! I may give this place another try. But with so many other boba places nearby that are less expensive and quicker service and parking, I am hesitant. read more

Ever since they opened in downtown Brea, I find myself driving out of my way (even if I'm headed in the opposite direction!) to come here because the drinks are just sooo refreshing! I absolutely love the liquid gold. It's an oolong tea base with the perfect amount of depth, balanced with just a bit of creaminess and perfectly sweet. The first time I tried it, I couldn't stop raving and I seriously haven't stopped ordering it since. It tastes amazing with their perfectly chewy boba, but I occasionally change it up and add grass jelly instead. My kids love both the silky strawberry and silky mango drinks. As the names imply, the drinks are so smooth and delicious! On warmer days, I also really enjoy the guava sunset, but seriously - you can't go wrong with anything here. The customer service is top notch too and they'll always re-make your drink if you don't like it! Lots to love here. I think it's one of top 5 favorite bobs spots in north OC. Love their crystal boba option which is made of agar i believe so it gives a slight crunchy texture. It's nice a light, which is a nice deviation from the normal honey boba. I've enjoyed their liquid gold and matcha royale. Both of which are 5/5 in my books. However i did not enjoy the taro lover, despite being a taro lover myself. The taro (paste?) was just really dense and sat at the bottom of my drink, very difficult to stir and was just chunky. It didn't seem belong in a drink. So i was overall confused about this drink. Overall i would still comeback and try more of their signature drinks which all sound very unique. Parking is not terrible especially if you can snag one of their 15 min curbside parking spots out front, otherwise it's a safe bet to use their parking structures and just take that 5 min walk. read more
