Taro lover 2/5 - the only good thing about this was the taro chunks. But I thought they would use only fresh taro and not taro powder for their milk. After getting fresh taro frostie at other boba places, I can't do taro powder anymore. It tastes super artificial Starlight black sesame 3/5 - this was okay but not the best black sesame milk tea that I've had. The Hojicha makes the flavor nutty but it was overpowering with the black sesame. Overall I wouldn't get these two drinks again but customer service was good. I asked to switch my taro milk tea for the starlight and they said if I didn't like the starlight either they can also switch it out but I felt bad to ask them to switch again. Maybe I should've stuck with a classic drink like brown sugar boba milk tea. read more

Me and my family ordered on the kiosk and when i stepped away near the front counter to let my boyfriend order, I hear the worker sigh and say to her coworker "(coworker's name) Wow I can't wait to close right now!" Clearly she was being sarcastic and rude, and I'm sure she meant for us to hear that. However given I came in at 9:45 pm i gave her the benfit of the doubt and I understand how closing is considering I've also worked in food service. But there were already 3 other parties in there. Other than that, I am giving 3 stars because the drinks/quality were good and ALSO I've come in on Christmas and met the owners, so I know the owners are kind but their workers and their service isnt. I've come in before and when I've asked workers questions about their menu they didnt know how to answer me or somewhat dismissed me. But moving on, when it was 10 PM, the worker came to the seating area to let us know we are closed. The people left inside were my family, another group of 3. So we all get up and leave and start throwing our trash by the trash can. And the worker was starting to take out the trash, my family was able to throw ours out. But for the party 3, one of the ladies throws her drink out and the worker replies "Oh?" and the other 2 were trying to throw out theirs and the worker goes "Can you throw your trash outside?" and the 2 ladies were like "Oh." and the worker closed the trash bag in front of their faces. I just thought that was incredibly rude and this experienced probably will have me and my family not return. read more

My order was completed right away, though they were fairly empty so may be why. I ordered the strawberry sangria tea, less sweet, since the person who took my order said the drinks were fairly sweet. We tried two different teas at Teaspoon and liked both of them. The grasshopper is lychee green tea with cucumber juice, and the guava sunset (uncaffeinated) is made with guava and pineapple marmalade. The grasshopper is very refreshing and I thought it was slightly better than the guava sunset, which was still good. Warning: The drinks must come really sweet by default, because we got ours at 25% sweetness and still found it to be plenty sweet. The menu of signature drinks has some unique offerings (like the grasshopper and strawberry pina colada smoothie) and some classic ones (strawberry/mango milk, matcha, etc.). At $6.50 each, it's on the slightly higher end of standard for boba prices. Anyways, I can't believe Brea has good boba spots now. How times have changed. read more

I saw this place trending on Tiktok so my best friend and I decided to stop by. We walked in and instantly started looking at their "photo booth" wall because it had a lot of funny pictures on it! I think they let you take pics and hang them up, sadly while we were there they weren't doing them. The workers were friendly and welcoming. They explained a lot of the menu to everyone. The lady infront of us seemed a little difficult and kept asking for hot drink that they didn't have. The worker ended up going out of his way to try to make those hot drinks and asked us to give them a few minutes. I ended up getting their limited edition matcha pudding because it looks soooo yummy. AND IT WAS! They did a collaboration with Hapa cupcakes and they use Hapas banana pudding on top of their matcha. They recommend eating it with a spoon because it won't mix well in the drink. 1/9/24 - I ordered 5 drinks, each of which had a base price of $6 or $6.50. I got the Creamy Jasmine, the Black Sugar Assam for my partner, and the Caramel Cream, Strawberry Sangria, and Grasshopper for my family. The boba pearls were okay; I've definitely had better at other places. In regards to the ice level, at some places, the "light ice" option leaves the drink not as cold as I'd like. Here, however, the drink was still rather cold which I appreciated. Everyone else really enjoyed their drinks. The lady working there at the time was nice and answered the questions I had about some of the drinks. I even got to try their free sample of the creamy jasmine which is what I ended up ordering. There weren't that many people in side, and I noticed that there was a section of their shop where it looked like people were studying. It's a clean, quiet environment which definitely makes this a good study spot. There's also free wifi! I can't say I was impressed with the drinks at Teaspoon. Decided to come by on a Sunday afternoon to try a few drinks. Ordered the Creamy Jasmine ($6), Taro Lover($6), and Silky Strawberry ($6.50). I usually opt for jasmine milk tea at every boba shop I visit but the creamy jasmine here lacked jasmine flavor and was quite watered down IMO. The taro is another staple if caffeine isn't preferred - though I liked the real taro chunks within the drink, the taro based drink seemed powdered rather than fresh. The winner of the bunch was the silly strawberry, earning Teaspoon the 3 stars. There was a decent amount of strawberry marmalade included that paired well with the milk and honey boba. Teaspoon is a boba shop located in Downtown Brea next to Bruxie. It's right across from the parking structure. They have a variety of milk teas, signature drinks, coffee, and lemonade. You can also customize your lemonade with a variety of different flavors. I ordered the Caramel Cream. It consists of hand roasted caramel and organic milk. I ordered it without the honey boba. The drink was wonderful. Great balance of milk and caramel. Nice caramel flavor with it not being overbearing. It wasn't overly sweet and thankfully did not give me a migraine or stomach ache which usually happens when I have these milky drinks. The service was pretty good. Cashier was friendly and drinks arrived within a few minutes. Shop was well-ventilated and somewhat spacious. It wasnt crowded at the time we went. There was a couple sitting side by side at the far end and a party of three that sat only for a couple of minutes before leaving. There was also another party of two near the entrance of the shop. Luckily there was no sitting next to us otherwise there would be absolutely no privacy in terms of conversing. After a while, we saw that there was an employee mopping the floor. The cleaner smell was so strong and incredibly distracting. We left and sat outside across the way. I enjoyed the Caramel Cream and would definitely order it again and possibly try more of their drinks. Could have been 5 stars but had to drop because of the horrible cleaner smell.
