Board games and boba - name a better pair, I'll wait. Honestly though, Teapresso has quickly become one of my favorite gathering spots for board game nights and planning meetings. With 4 tables that can fit up to 6 people, a few window seats, and a couple smaller tables, it's the perfect spot for small groups! Like any boujee tea place, you can smell the tea before you buy it and they always have their classic milk tea and another tea to sample on the counter! Boba quality is good and topping selection is on display (for those who are first timers or forget what things are XD). For you discount foodies, Teapresso is on fivestars and gives pretty good rewards! Pro tip: The full sweetness is SWEET! If you prefer 75%-100% sweetness at somewhere like Shaka Shaka, I would recommend 50% sweetness here. Parking is on the Chaminade side of the building and there usually (9/10 times) are available stalls. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms inside - the closest being at the McDonalds up Waialae Ave. read more

Parking is very limited but once you get that headache out of the way, this place is great! The store is small/average size for a bubble tea shop in Hawai'i but it feels open and bright. The decor is simple but cute. The store itself is very clean. The staff are very friendly (unlike some other places...specifically at the McCully Shopping Center...) and my order came out quickly. I saw that they had a drink flavored like those Japanese matcha kit-kats (which I am OBSESSED with) so I had to get that. It really did taste like them (probably ground the actual candy up in to the drink...no artificial flavors) but was so rich that I wasn't able to finish it. I was really surprised and happy though. I've been to many bubble tea places and this was the first time I've seen that offered. With the bubble tea craze, it's important to create something that makes you unique and I think this place hit the spot. Marukai and DonQui both stopped selling the matcha kit-kats though so I'm not sure if the drink here is still offered :( Regardless, you should check this place out! Their tag line is "First and Only fresh brewed, made to order boba milk tea in Hawaii" and this Waialae location just opened May 2016! So, unlike the pre-brewed tea dispensed from the carafe you are accustomed to seeing and drinking, the tea from Teapresso is brewed soon after your order is placed. Then the milk, sweetener, toppings, and ice are all added in and shaken up. This fresh brew was apparent...the wait was a little longer than usual, and when the drink was ready, it was warm to the touch. Prices are based on only one size: 24oz. Then choose from their Signature drink menu or you can Customize one like this: 1) Choose Hot or Cold beverage 2) Choose your premium grade tea leaves (decaf is available too) 3) Choose from 18 flavors (optional) 4) Choose milk type (non-dairy, almond, soy, while or fat-free) 5) Choose your sweetness (25, 50, 75, 100 or 150%...yowza) 6) Choose your Add-ons (optional) I typically do a Jasmine Milk Tea, but went with something more "exotic." From their Top 5 list I chose the "Sea Foam Caramel" with 50% sweetness and small boba. Even with it being half of the regular sweetness, it was still too sweet! Probably due to the caramel. As for the tea, it wasn't as bitter or powerful as the pre-brewed teas I've had at other milk tea shops, so that was good. The small boba was a nice change from the regular size as it was easier to swallow through the straw and chew. It was neat to see the layer of "sea foam" at the top, which was probably milk that was frothed. If Milk Tea is not your cup 'o tea, no worries! They also serve coffee, chai, lemonade, slush, frappes, smoothies and flavored green teas. I just started following their IG account and took note of a new release: Waikiki Sunset Lemonade (organic and no artificial color). Sounds refreshing for the summer in Hawaii...aka all year round! On the counter were two glass kettles of tea and juice for sampling, along with a shelf of mini canisters of tea leaves and add-ons that you sniff and view up close. Nice touch! The ambiance is inviting, bright, clean and cool. Plenty of tables for groups, bistro sets for two, and counter seating along the wall and front window for those flying solo. This is not only my favorite boba place but also my favorite Teapresso location to go to out of all the locations in town. The service is great!! The young lady (her name is Ha) is so awesome! I also love the boba and blended drinks here. The blended Thai tea and green tea Kit Kat are delicious. The boba is not too hard or too soft like other places in town. They also provide an option to sub for almond milk unlike a lot of boba places and it still tastes good. read more

I lived next to this location for about a year and a half any my experience has always been positive. Sometimes I didn't pay attention to the time... and it was jammed with students who were done from high school that day. So just be weary during those times. Their parking is limited but remember you can always find street parking along Palolo Avenue, just be sure to actually read the street signs. People come in here to sit, chill and study... These fancy tea places seems to be the place to be to quench your thirst after a tough day of shopping, work, or just having fun. During my experience, it was a little of both - or at least fun is the operative word. Teapresso here in Kaimuki seems like it's off the beaten path, but still on the main throughfare through Kaimuki town on Waialae Avenue. It's a short walk from McDonald's Palolo and across the street from the Kaimuki shopping center. I happened to be doing my Palolo loop run into the valley and happened to stumble upon Teapresso along my way home. I found myselff here and there was not much people here. Just 2 people waiting for their order when I walked in. These are unprecedented times in 2020 and we need to be extra careful nowadays. The store itself wasn't terribly small, but it wasn't large either. Just a cozy place to order up some tasty concoctions that seems to be the alternative to soda pop, fancy coffees, and natural juice blends. The experience here took about 15 minutes, which wasn't terrible. Being a new customer here, I had to take my time to decide what I wanted. I didn't look on yelp for the menu beforehand, so I had to just stare at the menu at the store to make my decision. The staff here at Tepresso was nice and friendly. It felt inviting here and that the ambiance was casual and homespun. The overall experience here at Teapresso Kaimuki was typical and nice. Pretty much like being at any other fast food counter, but instead of fast food, they make drinks for you. The restaurant itself is quite spotless, considering that this store is relatively brand now. Hope they are there for a long long time. For the most part though, I enjoyed myself at this location and hope to be there again whenever I need a specialty tea drink. It's in Kaimuki town, so it's fairly close by to me, although it's far enough away where you would want a car, if you're not feeling up to walking the route. Teapresso Kaimuki is located at 3043 Waialae Avenue in the heart of Kaimuki town in Honolulu, HI. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. As far as parking goes, that's a tough call. I don't know if they have private parking here. Best bet would be quickly park at the Kaimuki shopping center, shop there, before getting a quick drink at Teapresso before leaving the area. That's usually a great excuse to come to Teapresso! If you are like m, bus routes 1, 9, 9S, and 14 come through the area and stop off at various locations along Waialae Avenue. Then you'd simply walk on over. My favorite so far is the sea foam caramel. They have a top 5 list and decided to try out item 2 before heading down the list. I ordered mine iced and there's a cute ordering process here too, along with choosing your tea leaves and flavors. They also sell regular smoothies and frappe's too ,if you aren't into the milk tea movement. They also serve banh mi, according to the photos on yelp, which I learned after the fact, and also macaroons too. Teapresso can be your go to lunch or dinner spot when you aare in the area. Best bet Is to come here before the crowds to get the best services possible. I enjoyed my time here. While it was a quick experience here, I hope to have more of them when I go running and Teapresso ends up being a pitstop along the way in Palolo. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Maybe I'll pick up a banh mi next time. 4.0 stars for the service and the ambiance. Not sure if they have free wifi though. 3.0 stars for the prices. I prefer this location over the other teapresso's on this island. The staff here are friendly and fast to make your order. I've been ordering out here since the pandemic by calling ahead, typically placing orders for 5 drinks or more... and every time they got my order done nicely with everything ready for pickup. I like that the staff is knowledgeable about their drinks and offer the least amount of sugar for certain drinks (if possible*) as one of my relatives can't consume much sugar. I also love their new Ube latte... haven't got a picture of that drink but it's great! I'm the most excited that Teapresso has decided to open a third location in Kaimuki! First off, I love kaimuki. I spent a lot of my formative years in kaimuki and now work there. I think kaimuki has a great selection of local eateries and coffee shops, but there is still McDonald's a little further down the street. I'm so glad that kaimuki now has a great boba place as well!! Second, I LOVE teapresso. They serve real tea with awesome flavors and toppings. Their milk tea tastes like it should...milk and tea. It's not watery, it's not grainy or powdery. It's always perfect. My favorite drinks include he honey milk tea, the jasmine milk tea, oolong milk tea and mango kumquat tea. I like boba and matcha pudding for toppings. If you're confused about the extensive tea menu, the baristas here are friendly and I've had nothing but great experiences at the piikoi and downtown locations. I've even asked for them to make me tea combinations that aren't listed on the menu. Just tell them what you like, and they'll make it work :) This brand new location has a variety of seating, including big tables like the piikoi location. On the second night of their soft opening, it was already pretty crowded, but with an older crowd of people. That's a good thing. The piikoi location can get a little loud with teens and preteens squealing and gossiping about who's dating who. For their soft opening, teapresso is having a buy 2, get one free special until May 8th. You can also get stamps at this location! Whoop! The only junky thing is that there is no parking:/ oh well, I'll just have to being a coworker along to jump out and pick up drinks:) yay! Love love LOVE their tiny boba!!! I'm not a big fan of boba (especially the big ones because of the sugary-plastic taste) but if a milk tea offers tiny boba, SIGN ME UP. The shop itself is quaint and is an ideal place to study if you don't want to go to the library or stay at home but once non-studying customers come in, I suggest moving to somewhere else because it's going to get LOUD with all their game playing. I've never experienced bad customer service here, everyone's super nice especially Han & Maco! You'll see the workers on the side doing their work but when they see a customer, they'll immediately get up and wait patiently behind the counter to take your order. Thanks guys! I love the concept of providing free self-served popcorn; it helps balance out the sweetness from their drinks with the saltiness. I always order their Teapresso Milk Tea with small boba; it always hits the spot. You can adjust your sweetness like any other boba shop and once they're finished making your drink, they walk over to you and hand it to you. How nice of them!!! My boyfriend gets their Honeydew Milk Tea, solely because they give chunks of candies honeydew and it doesn't have the overly sweet powdery taste like other milk tea places. One table holding up to around 6 people. My friends and I enjoy playing the games provided and the drinks are not bad either. Most employees are so nice and have great customer service, but some are very lacking. When me and a couple friends walked in they told us there was no boba, which was no problem, but then we saw them, MINUTES AFTER, serving boba to other customers. As I ordered my drink I asked for a "lychee slush with strawberry jelly." I was not aware there was different strawberry flavored jelly. She asked "so... you just want strawberry jam on the bottom... cause we don't have strawberry jelly, we have strawberry HEART jelly and strawberry bursting boba." I was shocked at the attitude she was giving me. I did not know that heart made a difference of flavor of the jelly. And on top of the attitude she gave us the wrong order. I live 5 mins away from Teaspresso so I always go here if my first pick share tea is closed! I like that they close later than most tea places or at least used too before the whole quarantine happened. Sometimes if I don't want a boba so early. I sometimes want it as a after dinner treat, so I go here. I always drink different things depending on my mood and most of them that I tried were very good . My boyfriends taro smoothie is always good and well blended . One thing that I find not so great about this place is that the boba in the drinks are always hot at the bottom of the cup. I feel like it melts the drink/ ice faster and it has a weird sensation in my mouth when I want a nice cold drink. The boba itself is actually cooked through which I appreciate a lot because most places don't do that . But they are slightly too soft for me . To be honestly I rather eat softer boba than hard so it's not such a bad thing. The bobas are also always sweet here. My classic milk tea didn't blow me away but it was good. It did need a little more sweetness for me. I give the milk tea a 3.9-4 out of 5. I've tried other drinks here like the Thai and they were always good . read more

Since I just recently started drinking boba teas, I've been going to a lot of different places. I like this place because it's super convenient for me. Their selection of drinks is pretty extensive. I like that they offer lemonade as well - and you can add boba to it!!! They also serve my favorite coffee!! Deathwish!! Hot or iced - awesome!! There is only one size to their drinks, which is fine with me as it's one less decision I have to make. Lol. I usually order a tea with mango flavoring...green, oolong or Jasmine tea is so refreshing with the mango. There is popping boba available and I've tried the mango flavor, but I think I'll stick with regular boba in my drink...unless I'm getting a plain tea, then I'll add the popping boba. It's pretty cool to have that burst of flavor. The staff here are very nice and try to accommodate you and offer suggestions if you seem to be on the fence of one flavor or another. Parking is sparse, but there are four stalls on the side of the building. They also use FiveStar for customer appreciation. Pretty good deals!! I love that they have mini boba for some reason it's so difficult to get them in Boston in our milk teas! I ended up getting one of their oolong specials. I love the combination of organic teas and milk, I think the teas offset the sweetness of the milk. Also I'd like to pretend it's healthier in that sense, although it probably isn't with the loads of boba in my drink! But one can pretend! It was a hot summer day after work and I was thinking I needed something cold and sweet for an afternoon snack. Shave ice? Nah...Ice cream? Had too much lately. ...boba? Yes! So on my way home I checked my yelp ago and Teaspresso popped up. Perfect! I pulled into their tiny lot, lucky to get a space (according to other Yelpers who have had a hard time with parking). I liked the interior, it seemed like a fun place to hang out with board games and ample seating. The air was a little warm (it was sweltering outside) and I wondered if their AC was working right. I helped myself to the two samples (both delish), and perused the extensive, albeit pricey, menu board. I ordered their Teaspresso signature milk Tea (with boba + $.50) at 75% sweetness, after enjoying it as a sample. The service was quick and I liked how each tea is fresh and not powdered. The cup was a decent size and the boba was slightly sweet and chewy ( even though 1 out of every 10 was overcooked and too chewy). I really enjoyed the tea flavor and I will be back to treat myself more this summer. This review is LOOONNNGGGGG overdue, considering how many times I have come to this Teapresso location, it is honestly soo embarassing. This Teapresso location is by far my FAVORITE because of the location, convenience and service. When I worked in Kahala it was a nice place to go on my lunch break, as well as a place to pick up a tea on the way home to West Side for rushhour. I will admit, parking is very limited, however there usually is about one or two cars who are just going in and out to pick up a drink, so you can get a parking spot soon (depending on the time of day) and what day of the week. This location caters a lot to the the university students, as well as students of the neighboring schools. It is a great place to study, or catch up with friends. My fiance and I come here pretty regularly, and make it a point to visit that location whenever we are in the area. Service is great! Because I came so regularly, the usual staff already knew my drinks before I even came in. I don't know about you, but I think that makes great customer service. They even knew my new signature choice of drink after a few visits too. Plus the tea is much healthier and fresher than other places. I love Teapresso and I go to multiple locations around the honolulu area. This one is located on Waialae near sacred hearts and near the Palolo mcdonalds. It can be hard to spot on the road but once you know where it is, its easy to find (haha). They have a couple parking spots and its on a hill right near a house so be careful. This Waialae location seems to be out of important ingredients for their popular drinks. My favorite drink is the tropic osmanthus. I have gone to this location multiple times and multiple times they are out of something. I have never run into this problem at any other location. I hate to give less then 4 stars to a Teapresso location becuase I'm such a teapresso addict (haha). Even though, I have run into this issue, I still come here because the workers here are so helpful and nice. They are always trying to acommadate for ingredients that they are out of. read more

It was filthy, dust on the counters, some old dead bugs in their glass jars they are trying to sell. Boxes sitting around like it's a warehouse. Ok...so fellow yelpers totally hit it spot on with Teapresso Bar's rave reviews! I love me some milk tea- to be honest, I love regular tea, but milk tea, is like a dessert treat for me! I keep a stock of milk tea in the refrig for "emergency cravings" but because my workplace usually orders at least a couple times a week, I'm usually OK. I'm no "tea snob", I'll drink a cheap powdered milk tea and still think it's yummy...but if you are looking for legit, knock your socks off, think about this tea on your days off kind of tea...you NEED to try this place!!! I had the matcha latte which was seriously the bomb. It brought back memories of buying green tea ice cream off the street in Japan. No lie. Bitterness of the tea was on point- but cut perfectly by the creaminess of the milk. Ahhhh. Parking at this place can be tight,my suggestion would be to walk or get dropped off. Bottom line, figure out a way to get here, its that good. I considered walking from Kahala mall the other day, in the morning sun, because I wanted their tea THAT badly. I love this place! All the tea is good to order and you can really taste the difference between this place and places like Mr. Tea that use powders. Seriously it's Milk Tea the way it was meant to be. I always get the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and the Coffee Milk tea. The boba is always slightly warm and chewy goodness that makes you troubles melt away. The matcha frappe was amazing too. The parking is a pain though but not enough of a problem to keep me away. That's how good it is. I sometimes park at Longs and walk over, usually if I have to shop in that plaza anyway. If not I try to take my chances with the parking. 7/3/17- I always wondered if business owners read the reviews. The owner of Teapresso sent a message acknowledging my dissatisfaction with the customer service I received and commitment to improve. Adding a star based on the owner's response to my review. I've frequented the Teapresso locations on Bishop St & on Piikoi, good customer service. My first visit to the Waialae location (6/23/17 around 1:30pm) and did not receive good customer service, if any at all. I walked up to the cashier, no greeting, just a blank stare back from the guy worker. I ordered my drink but didn't get an acknowledgment that he heard me so I repeated my order and his response, "you want to order that?". Uh, yeah? Paid for my drink no thank you so I said "Thank youuu..." Next strike-wait time. Besides the cashier, there was another guy working. There were also 2-3 other customers waiting for their drinks. The one making the drinks seemed to be backlogged & instructed the other guy (cashier) to start making the other drinks. 3rd strike- the cashier worked walked over to me with my drink and just simply handed it over to me, again no thank you. Drink: Sea foam caramel, taste was just right. Mini Boba- no good. The mini boba had clumped together to form a large ball, getting stuck in the straw. So I had to rip open the top and scoop it out. Small location, terrible tight parking. Will most like NOT return to this location again. read more

Location isn't the greatest but there is parking spots for customers just in a weird nack off the street, but thats not what I'm basing my review on, it's always about the customer service and the ffooooddd or drinks. At first when walking it, noticed that it is very clean and there are board games! I thought that was only in coffee shops in Wichita! It's so fun to be able to enjoy your drink and play some board games! Next the menu, it looks busy but its very easy to read and easy to guide. I got the famous number one teapresso milk tea and loved it! The only con was I wish my custard and grass jelly was broken up into it pieces to slurp through my straw, it was just two giant chunks in my cup. Location isn't great, but i wasn't troubled since I was walking around kaimuki killing time but parking looks like it'd be a pain. I'm kinda picky and I like strawberry BLACK milk tea, which is pretty hard to find, if you want legit ones. This place definitely beats the other boba places I've tried. Wait time wasn't too bad, there was only one guy working but he was super nice. Other than that, I'll definitely return, cause it's the best boba place I've had so far. read more

My family went for a walk on Tuesday afternoon and stopped by here to escape from the heat before we headed back. We had our two kids and the dog. The hubby decided to stay outside with our dog while I go inside with the kids to order our drinks. It turns out what the hubby wanted wasn't on the menu so I ran outside to check with him if there's something else he wanted. Unfortunately, one of the kids ran after me and the door closed on his hand. The two ladies behind the register asked if he was okay and put a bandaid on him! How kind of them! A+++ for service. And the drinks are good. We'll be back in the future when we go on our walks! read more

This is the best tea spot nearest to my house. They fresh brew the tea for every order. It may take a little longer but you really can taste the difference. Parking can be a little tight but I never had any problems finding parking yet. And they fixed the damn door................you know what I mean if you been there! read more

Probably the best boba place in my opinion. I especially like the Ube and Thai Tea boba. I don't drink boba as much as I used to because of how sugary it is, but if friends ask me for recommendations I would make sure to send them here. read more

Prior to this visit, the only Teapresso I'd been to was the location on Piikoi. I absolutely fell in love with that sea foam caramel drink the first time I tried it. I didn't get a chance to check out the Kaimuki Teapresso when they first opened. But, on a particularly hot afternoon, I went in for a visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find a really tiny parking lot ... parking is always hard to find in Kaimuki. Teapresso shares the lot with some other businesses (or apartments maybe?) but there are clearly marked stalls for Teapresso customers. I was fortunate during the time of my visit to get one. Because I was at Teapresso on a Thursday during mid-afternoon, the small tea shop wasn't too crowded. The workers were all really friendly and, as much as I wanted to try something new, I stuck to my go-to drink (the sea salt caramel). During my visit, I found out that the different locations have different promotions. For example, on certain days, this location gives you double stamps. I can't remember which day of the week it was--I don't frequent Kaimuki--but it's good to know! The same is true of the Piikoi location. If I'm ever in Kaimuki and craving milk tea, I know where to stop. I'm grateful for a positive experience at this Teapresso ... and especially because there was parking and it was easy to find! Here's what I got: "Sea Foam Caramel": There are a lot of drinks to choose from on the Teapresso menu, but it's so hard for me to deviate from this one. This sea foam caramel drink is the perfect salty-sweet blend. You can the slight saltiness from the sea foam layer on top (shake up your drink so it mixes in well), but you get that buttery sweetness from the caramel interspersed throughout. I highly recommend this drink if you've never been to Teapresso before. It's really unique and reminds me of what I used to get from 85 Degrees Bakery/Café in So Cal (they also had a famous sea salt coffee drink). "Teapresso Milk Tea": Of the times I've been to Teapresso, I've never even had their signature milk tea yet. According to the chalkboard at this Kaimuki location, that's their number one best selling drink. One day, I'll have to deviate from my sea salt caramel drink and try this famous milk tea. read more

I should have read the reviews but I figured, it's a Teaspresso, so it should be good right?! No. I ordered two Vietnamese Iced Coffees with condense milk - one with boba and one with coffee jelly. The boba drink was so mushy that the the coffee jelly was just disinegrated as I was drinking it. Both coffees had such a burnt taste that we both ended up just tossing it. It was just a horrible drink. Again, I'm upset because I've been to other Teaspresso's and it was never this bad. read more
