I would like to thank Team Rooter in Simi Valley for their most accommodating efforts with me regarding the recent plumbing issue in my home. Kevin Zamora was the technician dispatched to assist and he was very pleasant beginning with his courtesy call, introduction, and notification of his scheduled ETA. Upon his arrival, Kevin immediately addressed our concerns. After the initial attempt to snake the drain (8ft), it was apparent this was going to require a more extensive approach. Initially I was concerned given that my family rents this home and it's not always pleasant notifying a landlord of repairs or costs. He provided a quote, and as expected, our landlord wasn't very pleased nor ready to proceed and ultimately declined the service until further notice. Kevin, taking notice of my disappointment, then informed me that he'd contact his supervisor Israel to seek further guidance. He then circled back and reassured me that he would do all he could to make sure the work would get done that very evening. Mind you, this was on a Sunday and now nearing 8PM. After making a few calls between his supervisor and myself, we again contacted my landlord and informed him of the next option and costs. Although he paused, sighed, and ultimately raised my blood pressure... he agreed and gave Kevin the green light to proceed. Within the hour Kevin returned with his supervisor, Israel, and they immediately began hydro jetting the clogged pipes and effectively removed all blockages and debris. Called at 8am due to our shower back up last night and was greeted by a friendly person who was able to schedule me a same day appointment between 11am-1pm. They sent me a text with a picture of the plumber and the person even called me 15 minutes prior to arriving. Hector was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I can't express how good Team Rooter is. Israel and Kevin are excellent at their job. We had major work done, we had a lot of areas that had roots in the sewer lines in our front yard. They fixed mistakes by a past company, put the correct dual clean outs in. . We had leaking and broken cold water valve under our kitchen sink. Our technician Kevin Z came when free consult was scheduled on time and very professional. Fernando came to help drain our clogged kitchen sink drain. He first snaked it, and that did not work. He made several different attempts to clear the clog, but to no avail. He called Luis to bring the hydro jet to the house, but even that did not work! Finally, he took the drain apart under the sink, first using his shop vac to clear water out of the pipes, then snaked the drain into the wall through the drain pipe, and that worked. In all, they charged $1600 for hydro jetting, which seemed kind of steep, but it was Sunday, and not many plumbing companies are open on Sunday. I am grateful that my kitchen sink drain is working well again. More options were offered, but we are investigating our options from other plumbing companies as well before we decide whom to hire to solve the problems of old cast iron drain pipes. $69 dollar drain clearing deal is a little misleading. Only applies for first time customers, single family homes and if there's a local clear out. Which when they called they told me all this and I thought i met all the criteria but Key word is "local" clear out. Since I didn't have a local clear out they wanted to charge $250 to clear the drain when I had paid $135 for the same job in my other bathroom 2 months ago. To be fair they did match the price and they did the job, did clean work and they got there fast so if you don't mind being overcharged or are getting a special go for it. read more
