Brandon came out to shorten our gas line that stuck out too far from the wall so we couldn't close the laundry room door for the new dryer! Had water start coming up from underneath the floor in my bathroom. Had one plumber come out and tell me he was pretty sure that it was from my tub leaking and that he'd have to cut into my slab with a jackhammer to fix it. He said it would be around $3500. I called Brandon as a second opinion and this dude came out on a Sunday, looked at the problem and pretty quickly figured out that I had a leaky pipe inside my wall (so, nothing to do with the tub.) We recently purchased our first home, and have had 3 great experiences with Brandon. He came initially to check out a couple of things we'd flagged on around our property - he was chill, friendly, responsive, practical, and very straightforward. He fixed one minor thing that day, and gave us some advice on what to think about going forward. Since then, we've had him back to install a water line for our fridge and to fix our garbage disposal. For the water line to the fridge, he gave us two options for how it could work and was clear about the pros and cons of each. His price was reasonable, he came exactly when he said he would, and got the job done efficiently and well with no complications. No surprises anywhere. The garbage disposal was super minor (we probably could have sorted it out ourselves if we'd been more diligent) but he came out quickly and sort of last minute, and fixed it right away. We own two rentals in the West Valley and recently discovered that our independent plumber was bought out by a large conglomerate noted for overcharging and up-selling their projects. Recently purchased a house and with inspection the inspector said my sewer lines were getting roots in them and could eventually lead to a blockage. Initially planned on having that service done at a later time and then my water heater began to leak. I first contacted my home warranty as they were little no no help. The contractor they sent out kept trying to up charge for everything saying I needed new gas and water lines and that they wanted to move the water heater else where. I decided to get a couple more quotes for separate contractors. The first company that came out tried to charge me even more then the home warranty company. Thank goodness I was able to find Hughes plumbing. I contacted them and Brandon (the owner) was at my door the next day and gave me a quote I couldn't turn down. Not only did he not try to up charge me he was friendly, straight forward, and very professional. Never once did I feel like I was getting the run around. It's hard to find people so trustworthy these days. Since he was so great I also asked him to check out the sewer line. He ran the camera both ways and gave me his honest recommendation but I didn't feel pressured to go either way. I decided to have it done for peace of mind and the total repairs were less than the home warranty company and the other plumbing companies and he fixed both issues! He even helped with my moms water pressure valve. He will definitely be my go to for any of my plumbing needs and I give him my highest recommendation.
