We have been customers of Conejo Valley Heating and Air for over 16 years and there has never been ONE issue! Every phone call - every question, every request for service, every new project has been easy and seamless. They are always here to help me when I need them. Finally, but I feel most importantly, is the quality people Branden hires. They are friendly, smart and extremely conscious. Also telling = every ONE of their employees speaks VERY highly of this family owned and operated business. That says so much. It tells me they take good care of their employees (This fact is very important to us as my husband has worked for a family run business his entire career and there's nothing like it if they value their employees). I've been meaning to write this review for years, but life got in the way! This time I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by. I called the office to schedule ALL my services and they had an opening the next day so we took it! This year we decided to upgrade our membership to Platinum. It includes so many benefits. Too many to mention here. Discounts on work, important inspections and regular service to all our equipment. Not only do they come and service everything but the techs take photos and enter copious notes that are then uploaded to our account. This is done to be sure everything looks ok and if it doesn't, we can address it- and there are no surprises!! This most recent service, was for our plumbing systems. As platinum members it consists of a 65 point plumbing inspection. Our technician, David Lara called me-prior to showing up (which I appreciate) We had never met David before today as he is a new (er) employee at CVH&A. First, David politely introduced himself to us and then we went over everything he was here to do. We agreed and he went to work. David was respectful, and put me at ease right away. (My husband always insists on being here whenever a service person coming into our home to work with only two exceptions; Orkin pest and CVH&A) David wore booties over his shoes any time he entered/re-entered our home. He treated our home like it was his own. He began by familiarizing himself with all the rooms in our house he would need to get into while here. He then serviced/drained our water heater all while checking everything for efficiency. Then he moved onto the kitchen and all our bathrooms to do the same. He found the shower drain in our master bath was very slow so he spent a long time "snaking" and clearing it. It was a service we didn't even know we needed - but we DID! He also informed us that the pressure coming through our pipes was too high and should be lowered for the safety and longevity of our pipes. (we've had many problems in the past) David went on to check every bathroom in our home, and our washer and dryer. He was here a while but never interrupted us unless he had a question. He cleaned up very well... leaving our home exactly as it was. When he was finished he went over everything he did and then made some recommendations for what was not working properly. He gave us his estimate before leaving. We told him we would call the office if when we decided to do it. I can't say enough about the quality of people they have working here and that is important to us. CVH&A prices aren't the lowest but they're certainly competitive. I say, you get what you pay for and I want a to deal with a reputable company that carries and install quality products AND one that treat their employees well. We are thrilled with the work we recently had done by Conejo Valley Heating & Air (CVHA). We had hired them to do annual maintenance on our furnace and AC units, and during the first furnace maintenance call, the tech asked to check my duct work in the attic (something no other HVAC contractor has ever offered to do.) I went up with the tech to look at my 37 year old duct work, and I was alarmed at how many openings in the duct connections there were, not to mention the terrible condition the duct insulation was in. We were obviously losing a lot of hot (and cold) air into the attic, at quite an expense. Not to mention that parts of our house never heated up properly or cooled well in the summer. The tech took photos, which he emailed to CVHA, and he suggested that they could send out someone to estimate what new duct work would cost. 2 days later the estimator was there, on time and very friendly and professional and we had a quote in hand. A day later we also got a "competitive" quote, but that contractor didn't advise pulling permits or having a state or city inspection. We were certainly not comfortable with this approach, and we gladly went back to CVHA and scheduled the job at a very reasonable price. Within a couple of days later their workers and system designer came in and covered all our furniture, exposed rooms and access halls with plastic and paper, then they worked all day to remove the ductwork and reinstall the new system. They also installed a second vent coming off the furnace to fully capture and distribute the volume of air the furnace was generating. All workers were on time, clean, polite, and very productive (only 30 min. for lunch). The job was done to our complete satisfaction! A few days later, the owner (Brandon) came himself to inspect the work and to walk us through the process of how to schedule the CA State HERS inspection. The work passed the state and city inspections with flying colors. What's best is that now our home is cozy and warm through the entire house, and our duct work is done to code (important if we ever sell the home), as well as completely efficient. What's more, we are happier than ever with our relationship with CVHA, and are happy to recommend them to anyone who is looking for reasonably priced, friendly professionals to work with. read more

If I could give this company 1000 stars, I would still feel like it wasn't enough. We have had the absolute best experience with them over the last 10 days and for years before that. First of all, Parker came out to check on the status of our rental. He was thorough and helpful and professional. He got us scheduled with someone who could give us more info that same day. Then came Greg. Greg is just the best. Greg dealt with our tenant and myself, inspected the entire house, got me a quote super quickly, pulled strings to get us scheduled ASAP and was gracious and helpful and knowledgeable. He even responded on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Can't thank him enough. We ended up needed to replace the entire HVAC in our rental- two units, compressors, ducts, everything. The crew that Donny brought out was wonderful. They worked their butts off in 100 degree weather to get the job done in a day and Donny followed up with little fixes to make sure that everything was exactly as they found it before the work started and was super helpful. Fast forward a half a day later and OUR AC went out. in 108 degree weather. We have a 16 year old lab and a 1.5 year old daughter. I was beside myself worrying about their health and the fact that ALL companies in the area were booked out a week in advance. I emailed Greg and he called me and tried to troubleshoot - then he called the office and was able to let Donny know what the situation was. He came over 15 minutes later with Ralph (the fourth rockstar in this story) and it turned out to be a quick fix. Donny went to pick up the part we needed and it was up and running in no time. I cannot stress enough how incredibly stressful situations like these can be. And how NOT stressful this was for us. Donny, Greg, Ralph, and Parker were absolute sweethearts and really took the time to talk to us. I never felt rushed, bullied, talked down to, or misunderstood. I truly am SO thankful that we signed up for a maintenance plan with Conejo a few years ago. I know the work will be done RIGHT and if its not they will FIX it. Just can't recommend them enough. I had the recent pleasure of working with Conejo Valley Heating and Air. In my opinion all of the employees I had contact were very professional, courteous and conscientious. When they entered my home they wore booties over their shoes to prevent tracking outside debris or water in to my home (rainy weather at the time). They also put down tarps and other floor covering when they arrived to replace and install the new equipment. My heater stopped working on 12/15/21 after I replaced the battery in my thermostat, since the unit was about 30 years old I figured it had finally died. I contacted Conejo Valley Heating and Air and scheduled an appointment, it was scheduled for 12/31/21. I received a call 2 days later that there had been a cancellation and I could be scheduled for 12/23/21, I accepted. Charlie arrived on time 4:00 PM (window of 4:00 to 6:00 PM), diagnosed a loose wire and recommended I should replace the unit as it was in sad condition overall. I agreed and Brice arrived on 12/24/21(also on time). He was very informative, and recommended the products that would best fit my budget and be economical over time. Installation was scheduled for 12/27/21. I was very impressed with the quick installation date. Don arrived on 12/27/21 as scheduled to insure the correct products were ordered for installation. Within the hour Eddie and his crew arrived to begin removal of the old equipment and installation of the new system. The weather was rainy and cold, but they made sure to prevent tracking outside debris or water in to my home. There were a few obstacles getting the equipment removed and into place since I live in a Condominium complex completed the job the work very efficiently!. Honestly I don't have enough words to explain how thankful and grateful we are for Conejo Valley Heating & Air. My husband and I recently purchased a home and they were recommended to us by our realtor. If you've bought a home, you know how stressful the whole ordeal is. Ron was our primary contact and he is a literal gift from god. He went above and beyond MULTIPLE times to make sure we were completely satisfied. As first time home owners that have zero clue what we're doing, we are fully aware that we are 100% those nightmare clients that ask a million questions and have all of the concerns imaginable- Ron willingly returned our calls after hours AND even on weekends. The technicians that installed our new equipment were so professional, thoughtful of our home, thorough and did the entire job in one day. We had them install a Nest thermostat and actually ended up receiving a defective one from Google. Ron went out of his way to send a 911 technician to see what he could do to get our air running since we live in the valley and it's currently summer- HOT. John happened to be the one on call and drove all the way to our house to see what he could do. I went through a troubleshooting routine checking what I could but no power or furnace ignition. Received a call from Conejo Valley employee Alfredo who was great. He took the time to walk me through some basic steps which resulted in my furnace coming alive and working perfectly. Alfredo is an excellent company representative and the company is lucky to have such an employee. If you are looking for an honest, reputable, thorough company to perform your heating, air and appliance work, this company is a one-stop shop of excellence. In the 18 years we have lived in our house we have used them exclusively to replace our furnace, a/c and fix multiple appliances. Their prices are completely fair and their customer service is excellent. We recently replaced a furnace, condenser and a/c with them and saw a water leak in the vicinity of the condenser, which we immediately suspected was the cause. It was a Sunday, naturally, and Craig, the tech on call, came right out within the hour. It turns out the problem was not from the unit at all (thank goodness!) but he was so sweet about it, said it was no bother to come because they really stand behind their work and if it had been that they would have wanted to take care of it immediately. He even cleaned the filter on the furnace for us while he was here. No charge for the call. That's great customer service, especially rewarding a customer who has been a "long time" customer and ensuring we will remain customers and continue to refer to them. In the past, when we had an issue with our a/c they also came out same day at 6:00 at night on one of the hottest days of the summer and took care of it immediately. Our experience has been that usually they are able to come same day, but rarely have had to wait more than a couple of days if the issue was not an emergency. I initially contacted Conejo Valley Heating & Air for a service on my 30 year old HVAC system. The technician, Bret, was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. He performed the maintenance as scheduled, but showed me several places where my system was failing and where it lacked safety upgrades that a new system would have. After considering his suggestions and reading the company's excellent online reviews, I scheduled an appointment with Greg to discuss the purchase of a new system. Greg explained my options in detail and spent time answering all of my questions. I was told that the installation of a new heater, A/C unit, and ducting would take about a day. The installation crew arrived on time and right away took every precaution to protect my home and cause as little disruption as possible. They removed the old system and it was hauled away before they left the site. The foreman took care to walk me around and show me the new system and how it operated. The installation was quick, clean and professional, and finished in less than a day. After the installation, the owner, Brenden, came out to meet me in person and ensure that the project was completed to his standards. Without exception, each person I dealt with from Conejo Valley Heating&Air was polite, informative and treated me and my home with respect. All appointments were made with ease and consideration for my schedule, with most scheduled after work hours. All work was professionally and efficiently completed. I am committed to family owned operations and my continued experience with Conejo Valley Heating & Air Conditioning only confirms my feelings about this! My 83 year old mother lives in Newbury Park. I, her oldest daughter, live in Virginia. While my mom is able to hold her own I find I can help her with the details. CVH&A has been so helpful with the 'group ' conversations. CVH&A installed new duct work in her home in 2015. Upon inspection it was determined that she needed to have this done. They provided us with an accurate estimate, set up the time table to have the work done and helped her finance the work, interest free, to fit into her budget. Everyone at the company has been so professional, kind and goes the extra mile. So rare these days! Recently she had a new thermostat installed and clothes dryer duct work cleaned. Wow was that overdue! John and Craig were so good! They even used her duster to really get behind the dryer while it was out. They pleased her to no end. John called me here in Virginia prior to their arrival and post visit to update me on what was done. My mom has circled their names on her work receipt to request John and Craig anytime she needs work done. Next time I am out to visit we will assess the maintenance contract options for a couple of her systems going forward. I just know that when CVH&A is involved it will be done in a timely, correct, efficient and professional manner. They will make it right and work with us to do so. We recently had our old Amana air conditioning unit replaced with a new Trane unit from Conejo Valley Heating & Air Conditioning (CVHAC) and we are extremely pleased with the quality of the product and the whole purchase experience. From the initial no-pressure sales presentation to the post-installation follow-up visit, every member of their team we dealt with (Branden, James, Manuel, David, Rafa, Sandi , Valerie, and Candice) handled themselves with professionalism and courtesy, including covering their work shoes every time they came in our home. In addition to installing the new air conditioning unit, we had CVHAC replace our existing hard-wired smoke detectors with new combo CO/smoke detectors. While installation of the air conditioning unit went smoothly, there was an electrical problem during the installation of the smoke detectors which resulted in damage to some of our small electronic devices. Rather than pointing the finger at us, they accepted responsibility and immediately fixed the problem. They even brought in an outside electrician to make sure the problem had been solved and replaced the damaged items - all at their own expense! Things don't always go as planned. And the true test of a company's service quality is how they handle problems when they arise. October 12, 2016 I want to take the opportunity to thank Conejo Valley Heating and Air Conditioning team of Aaron the estimator, the four-man installation team, owner Brandon of this Newbury Park company, and Ralph, a service technician who all provided over-the-top customer service and satisfaction to our family in each of their capacities for this installation. As promised, they showed up on time Oct. 7th and spent an eight hour day performing the removal of the old equipment, replacement of the new compressor, heater and heat exchanger, clean-up of the interior of our home and carry off of old equipment. Each of these individuals used paper boots over their shoes so as not to track dirt when they entered our home. They placed sturdy floor rugs from the patio entry to the work area so very little dirt was tracked into our home. Their clean-up of the work area and our patio used to stage/remove equipment was very thorough as you would expect of professionals. There was one minor issue involving the existing thermostat, which had to be subsequently moved to a better location today from the original location. The 10 year warrantied system performs as specified, both heating and cooling. We are proud to give them a five-star rating and definitely recommend these experts for your heating and cooling needs. We needed to have our air conditioner and our heating system replaced. Branden, the owner, came to the house and understood immediately what needed to be done. He even quoted the job right then and there stating that he had done about 40 jobs in our area. The bid was very fair. Before I agreed to the deal, my wife was concerned about our ducts and whether they should be cleaned. I called Branden and he told that cleaning ducts is a big scam and on an old system often does more harm the good. On installation day, they showed up on time and were just great. I tried to stay out of there way but wanted to see what they were doing so I went out to the backyard and there was Wally Dickey, the founder, supervising the job. He was just great and explained the whole system to my wife and I. He was thorough and patient and stayed as long as we had questions. We love the system they put in. it is quiet and very efficient. And where do you have the founder of the company over seeing the installation. I could not be happier with them and whole heartily recommend Conejo Valley Heating and A/C to anyone who needs work done from servicing their system to partial or full replacement. I've told my son and my daughter that if they ever need this type of work done to just use Conejo Valley Heating and A/C because they are very honest and straight forward. My AC recently went out in the middle of an extreme heat wave. Not knowing who to call I walked around my condo complex to look at other AC units for stickers with phone numbers. I had called a few different places, though Jeremy from Active Air was the only person who answered late Saturday afternoon. He made an appointment with me for Monday afternoon, though after calling numerous times he finally answered and told me he could not come out after all. I was not very happy and told him I would contact another company which is why I contacted Conejo Valley Heating & Air and have an outstanding rating on Yelp. The office staff was friendly and responsive to my immediate need for AC. Due to the busy time my appointment was originally scheduled for 8/1 and asked to be put on a waiting list for any cancellations. Within 30 minutes I was contacted by the office with a cancellation for today between 11:00-1:00 p.m. The technician Brett Sutherland called in advance to let me know he was on his way. He was very professional and almost immediately diagnosed the problem. He had the replacement part in his truck and installed quickly. The AC is back working and I am one happy customer. We had Conejo Valley Heating and Air do the inspection on our HVAC when we bought our house. They made some small recommendations then, which the original homeowners took care of. Then earlier this week our AC just stopped working, naturally in the middle of a heat wave. After two super hot days, we caved and booked an emergency appointment with them (regular appointments were booked out weeks in advance due to the time of year for most AC companies including this one). The technician, John G, came at the end of a long day for him. But he was super professional and patient. He wore a mask the entire time and booties covering his shoes when he was in our house. And it seemed like those safety procedures were standard practices for him. He worked quickly and efficiently, and explained what he was doing each step of the way. The pricing was reasonable, even including the after-hours emergency appointment fee and very shortly our house was nice and cool again. He emailed a detailed invoice and pictures of what was done so I have records of it in the future. The whole process was simple and quick. We were so impressed we signed up for their service plan so we can get regular tune-ups so to speak and hopefully catch the problems before they become big. Keep in mind I had three other reputable companies come out, but none of them gave the confidence they could do the job as well as Greg's team. If you decide to go with Conjeo Valley Heating and Air, you can expect the following: A clear analysis of what it will take to complete the job. A great selection\range of product. They will not try to upsell more than is needed for your home. They make every effort to knock it out in one day (which I thought was impossible, but they did!). You can expect the paperwork to be very well organized. I used a home improvement loan to help with the cost of the work and they made it extremely easy. I should also note, both the State and LA County inspectors had great things to say.
