We LOVE THESE GUYS....! Generally I lower my expectations when it comes to hiring contractors AND generally the contractors that I've hired have barely met even those lowered expectations. So we didn't expect much when we hired Ambient Electric to install & rewire our ceiling lights, fix our pool light, fix our door bell, and fix the electric to our fountain (or what we call our deferred maintenance). On the 1st visit Eddie came out and was very professional but said that he had the come back with his partner (sorry can't remember this man's name) to install our 2 story high ceiling lights (repeat TWO STORIES HIGH) - so we rescheduled. Thank god we rescheduled because when they came back I unfortunately had an electric Swamp Cooler emergency at my business (20 miles from home on a hot 100 degree day). They put down what they were doing at our home, went straight over to the business (worked on the roof where it felt like 120)(god bless them), fixed that problem in 20-25 minutes, then returned back to the house to resolve the original home issues. The best part - they did all this while never, never, rolling their eyes at our mere mortal understanding of how electricity flows through those damn wires..!! Always professional..!! Quick Summary: Professional, courteous, and just all around awesome! Eli and his team are amazing and just all around great. He came right when he said he would and they set right off on the job. A consummate professional he made sure that the job was done right and looking out to make sure that I was getting what I wanted and needed. His team are all professionals, they took special care of all my furniture and made sure to clean up after themselves very well. The put up recessed LEDs in my living room (so much brighter) and in my bedroom as well. In the bedroom it was a bit tricky because we already had a ceiling fan light combo, and I wanted the 4 lights to be separated 2 x 2 front and back. They gladly accommodated and everything worked out perfectly. In fact the lights they used looked so great, that I even had them replace the existing recessed lights in the family room! In the kitchen I had them put in strip LEDs that look wonderful and give a great ambiance. I couldn't recommend these guys enough to you. My rooms look great after they installed the new lighting, much brighter and so much more classy. I'm looking forward to the next job that I would have them do for me! read more

We put a lot of time and effort in searching for an electrician, and eventually we selected Ambient Electric. On the telephone, they were extremely courteous and efficient and called us back with a basic price for the work to be done. From there, we scheduled the appointment. The electrician that we had, Eddie, was simply outstanding. It was a very complicated electrical problem, but he took his time to examine every aspect of the circuitry and eventually resolved the problem. AMAZING. PROFESSIONAL. OUTSTANDING. We will never use another company for electrical work. Our entire panel blew and we were without power in half of our house including the power for the AC compressor. We called the office and they walked us through what we needed to do to get a new panel as soon as possible. They told us who to call at the DWP and what had to happen to get them out quickly. Then they gave us an appointment for a replacement panel as soon as we had all our DWP papers. The guys came out this morning and were pleasant, respectful, clean, and all around amazing. Ambient has done several jobs for me. One in particular was when my garage had a fire in the electric wiring. Thinking it was going to be a very expensive job the quote was very reasonable. After the job was completed it even cost less. They have replaced my attic fan and ceiling fan as well. Both jobs done top notch. We needed our electrical panel upgraded as we kept blowing circuits, so we called Eli at Ambient Electric. After describing our problem, we were quoted a very fair price and elected to moved forward. Panel changes are a 2 day process, as the old panel has to be removed as well as some surrounding stucco, so the inspectors can approve the completed work. After the job is signed off by the city, the exposed areas around the panel need to be re-stuccoed, hence the two days. Eli sent his team out, including Roman, Mike, and 2 other crew members. They arrived on time and looked very professional in their branded trucks and work shirts. Roman explained the procedure and they went to work. They would work around the panel, then shut the power down, about a 5-6 hour procedure, once that was complete we'd be back up. Well they were right on schedule, we were powered up and good to go in less than 6 hours and that included 2 separate dedicated circuits run to the bathrooms so we wouldn't have to deal with overload issues ever again. After the work was done, the city inspector came, reviewed the work, and signed off. Eli's team was very professional, and get this, they cleaned up after themselves. No debris, wires, connectors, or any other annoying things you find at your house after a contractor leaves were anywhere to be found. Eli from Ambient Electric, along with Roman and Matt, did a solid work upgrading my original residential 100 amp electrical panel to a 200 amp panel. It was a complete job from start to finish, including City permits/inspections, the roof "goose neck" power inlet replacement, to stucco work. The main part of the job involved a full day of work with the incoming city electricity off. They placed two 8 foot copper rods into the ground by my main water supply inlet to provide additional ground protection. I've had a couple of other estimates, neither of the bids gave me a sense of attention to detail as Ambient Electric, so I decided to go with Eli. Great service! I was recommended by a friend who had used them before for her kitchen installation so I decided to give them a call. Eli quoted me a great price and was able to take care of the permit I needed redo the entire electrical system in my en suite bathroom, which was all wired for those florescent long bulbs, yuck!
