Billy came by later that day to inspect the job. The two workers were great. The job took all day. I work from home and I hardly noticed them in the back yard doing the work. Our first correspondence began in January, and although he was unable to accommodate us until March, we were understanding and willing to wait. Initially, he quoted us for three separate projects. While the pricing seemed high, we still decided to move forward and schedule the work. One of the projects involved plumbing concerns, which became more urgent, so we decided to have our regular plumber handle that portion separately. I reached back out to revise the scope of work down to only two projects. Surprisingly, the updated quote for two projects ended up being more expensive than the original quote for all three. When I questioned the pricing, I was told the original pricing was only lower because the work had been "bundled." A few days before the scheduled appointment, I asked whether it would be possible to push the work back by one day due to a busy client schedule at our business. He declined and instead suggested an entirely different date that worked better for him, which delayed the project even further from the original timeline. We agreed in an effort to remain flexible. He later requested a deposit, which was understandable. However, because this was for our business, I requested a detailed written quote and W-9 form so our accounting department could properly process payment. Despite multiple requests, he was unable to provide the documentation needed, and communication became increasingly delayed and inconsistent. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward and decided to cancel the project. His response afterward was extremely unprofessional, to the point where I ultimately blocked further communication. We ended up hiring another handyman who completed the same work professionally and for nearly 50% less than his quoted pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this handyman to other business owners looking for professionalism, transparency, and reliable communication.

The panel in my home was likely the original from the 1970's, which isn't rated or safe to handle today's EVs. Vince - the gentleman who provided the estimate - read my mind and also agreed that a panel upgrade would be the right way to do the job. Infinity Electric were the first and only company to recommend the electrical panel upgrade. The fact that they put safety and doing it right over trying to make a quick buck went a long way with me. This is gesture is what sealed the deal for me and confirmed that these guys are professionals. After we did the spot meter with SCE, Infinity Electric took care of all of the permitting with the city, scheduling, ordering materials, upgrading the panel, installing my EV charger in my garage and hauling away my old panel. The crew that did the install worked efficiently, cut no corners and were surprisingly tidy. Considering my panel is on the complete opposite side of the home, they were constantly going in and out of the attic crawl space to run the conduit and wiring. Construction is a messy business, but these guys made sure to leave my home exactly how they found it. All in all, my experience with Infinity Electric was phenomenal. They went above and beyond to take care of the problem. I've heard nightmare stories about other companies in the area that will install something and if there is a problem, you are on your own. I see a 1-star review from someone who was frustrated with lack of customer service. I was frustrated with this too. The AI phone interface can be frustrating, but there are good people working there who are trying to do the right thing. It just might take a little bit of patience to get the right person on the other end of the phone. I do know that they are addressing this problem. Julian is my plumber and Sam is my HVAC guy and when they come to the house it's like having old friends visit. At the end of the day, that's what keeps me coming back to them. The work is solid, the technicians are knowledgeable, and when something does come up they stand behind what they do. Eleven years later, that still says a lot about the kind of company they are. I have no hesitation to call them for some of the bigger upcoming purchases that our household needs, like a new AC unit and a tankless water heater. I think I should have been refunded the first visit since clearly that service didn't fix the job. Oh and the best is they already started trying to up sell me a whole new system...they installed mine 10 years ago. They were better 10 years ago.

No worries, that's reasonable. Heck, it can be any day, just do what you promise. Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Call Wednesday. Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck. I had heard over the years about Doug & Pacific Energy because of their decades of work serving a very large commercial property management company known all over the west coast. Doug does all of their new construction & remodeling, as did his father before him. Here is something you rarely hear, Doug is actually a 4th generation Electrical Contractor! I took on a position as a Superintendent for a Department Of Defense Technology Contractor at the beginning of November 2024 that had a 60 day "impossible deadline", to be completed by December 30th. I reached out to Doug & his crew showed up a few days later on a Thursday & worked along side of me straight through the weekend into the week before Thanksgiving non-stop! When a contractor pulls up in a beat up truck with the bed full of dis-organized tools & supplies with zero visibility or company logo or markings on the vehicle with the company name or their License#, that for me is a RED FLAG ALERT. Doug not only has a fleet of custom made heavy duty trucks, every day I would see him dictate notes to himself in regards to replenishing those materials every single day. It was a pleasure working with Doug; he is a true professional. He showed up on time for the assessment of our home that would take care of the multiple issues that we were having. He does a lot of work for and throughout Leisure Village in Camarillo, and he came very highly recommended by a tradesman that I trust from another venue. Doug provided an estimate of what he felt was needed to make the house more comfortable for us. He could have told us that the entire house needed to be rewired because of its age, but having a solid knowledge of Leisure Village, he knew what NEEDED to be done while keeping it affordable. We had three new dedicated lines run from the outside box into the kitchen so we could use multiple appliances simultaneously. We also had all of the outside circuit breakers replaced as they were 40+ years old. Doug suggested that we consider adding a "whole-house" surge protector to the circuit box. We didn't even know something like that existed. Doing so, we were able to remove the clutter of a dozen+ circuit breakers located throughout our home. He also rewired the the master bathroom so we could operate our exhaust fan, and two separate lights independently from one another, which the vendor who originally installed it said was not possible. In addition, we added outside outlets so we could add a water feature to our front entrance. At the end of the day, he left the house as spotless as it was when he arrived. Since then, Doug has added LED cans in the kitchen and the office. I hired Pacific Energy Electric to install an EV charger at my parents' older home in Leisure Village. They came recommended by Tesla, and seeing they had a local 805 number gave me extra confidence we were dealing with a reputable local company. Before Doug came out, I had several concerns--mainly whether the home's older electrical panel could safely handle the added load. Doug took the time to walk me through everything in detail and reassured me that the new line would be installed properly without overloading the house. While running the line through the attic, Doug's colleague Luke discovered a major issue left behind by the HVAC company that installed a new unit the year before. Somehow, the furnace and AC wiring had been crossed, leaving capped live wires right up there with the insulation in the attic. It was a serious fire hazard. Luke spent hours tracking down and fixing the problem correctly, and we're incredibly grateful he caught it before something worse happened. We were so impressed with Doug and Luke's professionalism and workmanship that we also hired them to replace all the circuit breakers in the panel, which were long overdue for updating. Throughout the entire process, Doug and Luke were honest, upfront, and clearly took pride in their work. It's rare to find contractors who make you feel genuinely informed and taken care of every step of the way. Fantastic service from Doug and Mike. Don't call anyone else! My grandparents's house in Santa Paula suddenly lost power on a Saturday morning, and we needed an electrician quickly. I tried 10 local electricians who advertised being open for business on Saturdays. Eight didn't answer, one said he wasn't willing to drive 15 minutes for "a little problem like that" and finally I got Doug. He picked up right away, figured out what the problem was, told me it'd be a $250 minimum for a Saturday visit and if that was ok he'd be right over. Sure enough, there they were in 30 minutes from Camarillo. They were friendly and got to work straight away. It took them 5 minutes to determine that the house electrical system was completely fine, but the problem was on SCE's side. After that, they gave us the number to call and coached us on the best way to get the someone dispatched as quickly as possible, even writing down a script of what to say. Doug cut his fee in half because it was such a simple outcome. Now we have Edison coming today (knock on wood) and should have our power back soon. Doug, the owner, came out personally to inspect the job, answered all my questions, and then prepared the estimate. He was professional and knowledgeable, and he made me feel confident that I was hiring the right contractor. I also thought it was pretty neat that Doug is a 6th-generation electrical contractor and his 18-year-old son, Brayden, is now working alongside him as the 7th generation. I highly recommend this company. Doug and Mike are so professional, skilled, knowledgeable, and incredibly nice and friendly. Doug's estimate was reasonable and he was so accommodating when I changed my mind about one of the jobs I thought I wanted; he just had the estimate rewritten with no fuss. The work was done in great time and done beautifully. I needed additional ceiling lights to add to the existing 4 already there .He installed those and replaced the existing ones with the newer, more efficient ones so that they all match perfectly. Everything was put back nicely and the space perfectly cleaned up. Doug very kindly switched out a few out-of-date bulbs in another room and changed a couple of old switch plates without being asked and without extra charge. They did a superb job. I will absolutely request his help again for any other electrical work. read more

I should have called Pacific Energy first. Had I done that I would have saved myself the frustration, the lost time and money. I had 2 different electrical contractors come to my home to figure out what was going on. My home was only 15 years old and yet I had breaker issues, outlet issues, even a fan in the bathroom kept blowing out lightbulbs. The contractors made their recommendations and did their work however the issues still weren't fully resolved. Thank goodness I called Pacific Energy. They came in figured out the real problem and I haven't had any issues since. Their crew was very professional. They took the time to explain what happened and how they were going to do the repairs. And now I don't have to stress out about what's going to happen with the electrical next. Save yourself the time and money and call them first. read more

I can't say enough great things about Pacific Energy Electric! Doug and Luke came out to my home and did an outstanding job from start to finish. They handled upgrading our fixtures and switches throughout the house, as well as installing an EV charger -- and the quality of their work was top notch. Of all the electricians I have used in the past Doug and his crew are the best. They are knowledgable and experienced. They averted a severe electrical problem through an extensive search and fix remedy. Doug upgraded our box over a decade ago and has installed fans and lights in our house. You will not be able to find a better electrician who is fair in his price and will not overcharge you for work he did not do. Their whole group will work to fix any problem you might have or install any item you might need installed. They do a through, honest job, but they also do it quickly and right. Doug is awesome! He arrived early, he was very professional, and really easy to talk to. He listened closely to what I said regarding the electrical issues I was having. He then jumped right into action and explained everything to me as he worked. Not only was he very informative, but he gave me peace of mind. I am so glad that 8 years ago we found Pacific Energy. They have rewired my dining room, living room and replaced my fuse box when My husband noticed a burnt-out fuse. literaly burnt!. Recently when I had a very bad outlet in our master, Doug came out at the end of his work day and repaired it for me. He is always quick to respond, neat and fair in his dealings. I have been very happy with Pacific Electric over the last 8 years. We will defineatly call him whenever we have electrial issues. which considering how old our home is- it is just a matter of time. Definitely the best electricians in Camarillo! I needed some electrical repairs on the same afternoon and both Doug and Mike answered my call to address my home electrical issues. I want to highly recommend Pacific Energy. I had them do several projects. The main project, adding a ceiling light to a room where there was no previous electrical and no attic, turned out great. I had been trying for 6 months to get electricians out to do this job. They would bid the job which I accepted but they would never show up to do the work. However Doug came out, knew exactly what to do and got the job done. Doug and his guys were professional, friendly and cleaned up behind themselves which I really appreciate. Pacific Energy Electric responded same day, came out 48 hours later, equipped with everything that might be needed. Luke inspected several outlets, one of which had sparked. He replaced 5 new outlets, double checking my electric panel to insure all was working. He was thoughtful, explained everything clearly, and was polite. After Luke left, I checked the areas for clean up BUT no clean up was necessary. Luke took care of it all. I will definitely use Pacific Energy Electric again & again!! read more

The power for half our house went out on Friday night July 5th. I called Pacific Energy Electric. There was an emergency line to call/text. I sent Doug a video of what I thought the problem was. Doug responded right away. He showed up at our home at 9:06pm. He replaced a few bad breakers and was done within 30 mins. We scheduled him to come back next week to complete more electrical repairs that need to be done at our home. So relieved we found someone honest!!! read more

He was honest, straight forward and we related on our childhoods. He helped me understand the process, showed me regulations and why they are important to follow. He showed me step by step what he was doing. He didn't have to but I am just a curious individual. His office admin communicated regularly and professional. If they didn't have time to make my appointment they would call me before. I understand electrical is hard work and if was running late and couldn't make it, that's ok. They communicated. He even got into my attic, which is not very mug and he is over 6ft. If they had to reschedule I was always out on the list first thing for the next day. I still have all the regulations and paperwork he provided me with just incase another electron is hired if he doesn't not have time and their schedule is being booked a couple months in advance. He also fixed wrong and dangerous wiring another electrical company did. They are an excellent business to work with, people don't understand business. Other projects will take priority and that's ok. Dont call and harass the admin she is very respectful and does not deserve that kind of treatment.
