Ordering lighting online can be tricky if you haven't seen it in person and having to return a light fixture by shipping it is a hassle. It's comforting to know that anything I order from Lamps Plus can be returned directly to their store in the rare case I need to return something. Lamps Plus cares about their customers .

They didn't close for another 20 minutes. Safe to say I will never be back, especially because they are not open on weekends. How is the general public supposed to be able to go and see anything in a storefront if they are only open from 7am to 4:30 pm daily? A combination of the dismissive, rude, and unprofessional staff and the business hours make this establishment a no-go for me, and anyone who asks for my advice about lighting stores in the future. Anybody would be better off shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot.

As I was shopping around for quotes, I was pretty certain I'd need a new panel to handle the constant load of EV charging. I was already prepared to make the costly upgrade, but I wanted to see what other electricians recommended. The panel in my home was likely the original from the 1970's, which isn't rated or safe to handle today's EVs. Vince - the gentleman who provided the estimate - read my mind and also agreed that a panel upgrade would be the right way to do the job. Infinity Electric were the first and only company to recommend the electrical panel upgrade. The fact that they put safety and doing it right over trying to make a quick buck went a long way with me. This is gesture is what sealed the deal for me and confirmed that these guys are professionals. After we did the spot meter with SCE, Infinity Electric took care of all of the permitting with the city, scheduling, ordering materials, upgrading the panel, installing my EV charger in my garage and hauling away my old panel. The crew that did the install worked efficiently, cut no corners and were surprisingly tidy. Considering my panel is on the complete opposite side of the home, they were constantly going in and out of the attic crawl space to run the conduit and wiring. Construction is a messy business, but these guys made sure to leave my home exactly how they found it. All in all, my experience with Infinity Electric was phenomenal. I don't think you can measure a business when everything is going perfectly. You measure a business by how they handle things when it doesn't go as planned. Everything has been going great, but we recently had a little hiccup when I added a whole home water filtration system. I was a little frustrated and it took a little bit to get the right person on the phone, but I'm really happy to know that they are the same company from 11 years ago. They went above and beyond to take care of the problem. I've heard nightmare stories about other companies in the area that will install something and if there is a problem, you are on your own. I see a 1-star review from someone who was frustrated with lack of customer service. I was frustrated with this too. The AI phone interface can be frustrating, but there are good people working there who are trying to do the right thing. It just might take a little bit of patience to get the right person on the other end of the phone. I do know that they are addressing this problem. Julian is my plumber and Sam is my HVAC guy and when they come to the house it's like having old friends visit. At the end of the day, that's what keeps me coming back to them. The work is solid, the technicians are knowledgeable, and when something does come up they stand behind what they do. Eleven years later, that still says a lot about the kind of company they are. I have no hesitation to call them for some of the bigger upcoming purchases that our household needs, like a new AC unit and a tankless water heater. I am very happy with how they addressed this past issue and will be calling them in the future.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Air Works…read more We originally called because we were having an odor/fumes from our garage being pulled into our home through the downstairs HVAC system. That was the primary reason for the service call and the problem we specifically wanted corrected. Nick came to our home and spent a couple of hours going through the system with us. He quoted approximately $4,500, which was significantly higher than other estimates we had received. We agreed to move forward because he represented that they were going to do substantially more work, including addressing the air leakage from the garage, expanding/sealing the return area so it would not continue pulling garage air into the house, and making changes upstairs to improve airflow so so much air was not being directed into the primary bedroom. Based on those conversations, we were told the downstairs system would be properly sealed and the garage-air problem would be corrected. Unfortunately, when the technicians were finishing their work, it became apparent that the most important part of the job -- stopping air from being pulled in from the garage -- was not included on their work order. I raised the issue while the technicians were still here. They contacted Nick, and we were then told that sealing that area would be done when we eventually replaced the entire HVAC system. Replacing the entire system had never been part of our agreement or the reason we approved this $4,500 job. Had we been told beforehand that the work being proposed would not address the fumes/garage-air issue, we would not have authorized the work. The technicians who came to our home were professional, polite, and clearly trying to do the job they had been given. I actually feel badly for them because they seemed to have walked into a situation where they had not been given all of the information that had been discussed during the sales appointment. The frustrating part is that we spent a significant amount of time explaining exactly what the problem was and what we needed fixed. Yet after spending approximately $4,500, the original problem remains. I still cannot comfortably run my downstairs AC because the same smell is coming into the house. UPDATE: After I posted this review, Nick called us. Unfortunately, instead of trying to resolve the problem, the conversation became argumentative and his description of what had been discussed was very different from what we were told when we agreed to the work. This was especially concerning because the technicians had already contacted him while they were at our home regarding the same issue. Again, the reason we called Air Works was to stop garage air/fumes from entering our downstairs HVAC system. That problem was not fixed. We had previously used Air Force HVAC company for years and decided to try Air Works based on a recommendation. I regret that decision. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering Air Works get every single promised repair and outcome specifically written into the work order before authorizing the job, particularly if the recommendation is coming from the salesperson rather than the technicians who will actually be performing the work.

Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck.
