I cannot recommend vc electricians enough. He walked me through every step and explained his reasoning for everything he was doing. He was kind and patient. I will be calling him for future services if needed read more

For some reason my review was deleted. They revamped my control panel for my home. We had a Tesla charger installed (by him). He was honest, straight forward and we related on our childhoods. He helped me understand the process, showed me regulations and why they are important to follow. He showed me step by step what he was doing. He didn't have to but I am just a curious individual. His office admin communicated regularly and professional. If they didn't have time to make my appointment they would call me before. I understand electrical is hard work and if was running late and couldn't make it, that's ok. They communicated. He even got into my attic, which is not very mug and he is over 6ft. If they had to reschedule I was always out on the list first thing for the next day. I still have all the regulations and paperwork he provided me with just incase another electron is hired if he doesn't not have time and their schedule is being booked a couple months in advance. He also fixed wrong and dangerous wiring another electrical company did. They are an excellent business to work with, people don't understand business. Other projects will take priority and that's ok. Dont call and harass the admin she is very respectful and does not deserve that kind of treatment. read more

Requested a proposal for charging stations at a business at a commercial building. 10 days after we were told a proposal would be sent, we inquired about the status and advised that we would need to look elsewhere VC Electricians was not able to complete the project. Got a response back from Sandy the Office Administrator saying " Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a satisfactory response within your required timeframe. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. All the best, " Clearly they do not need business nor do they have experience in customer service on how to properly respond to customers. If they were busy with multiple projects it is customary to inform your potential customers of the delay. read more

Jason mapped out and corrected some baffling circuits that had been left incorrectly and unsafely set up from our last remodel. Now everything works exactly right, is installed according to code, and my worries are gone. His fee was very reasonable and he is easy to communicate with. We will rely on Jason for further changes we have planned. Our house is in Camarillo, not in S.F. read more

Jason is truly a professional in handling electrical situations. Jason responded quickly and determined it was a blown fuse in the FAU & not a transformer when my new Google Nest Thermostat was not receiving power. I had Jason come to my house and extend my electrical from my main house to my backyard. He did a great job and I am very happy with the results. He did it fast, professionally clean and at the best rate that I could find in the market. Thumbs up and I will for sure use him again for any electrical need. Thanks Jason Electric read more

I had a very small job (~2 hrs) of adding a switch for some low voltage lighting in my kitchen. Although he was very busy and dealing with an office emergency, Jason was able to help me out just 24 hours after our original appointment. He's very friendly, trustworthy and has very reasonable rates. read more

I hired Jason to take care of a number of projects, ranging from serious electrical to running lines for phone and cable, and they were all executed flawlessly, at a reasonable rate. Jason's creativity and craftsmanship also allowed him to work around some unexpected issues that popped up in dealing with a 65+ year old house. Jason is not just a total pro, he's also a very good guy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him highly. read more

I hired Jason to re-wire our entire house, switch out and upgrade the electrical panel, and install can lights through out the house. Jason also wired and mounted several flat screen TV's on walls, installed sconces, and ran outdoor power outlets. Jason did an outstanding job, simply put it was QUALITY work. But for me, it's not just the finished product that I value. Jason's prices were very reasonable and being a trustworthy person, I felt comfortable with him in my home for weeks on end. My 2 year old son was a bit sad when the job was over with because he had fun "working" with Jason! I personally recommend Jason to anyone that has electrical needs. In fact, my first referral for Jason was my parent's home in Camarillo and they were also very happy. read more

A complete pro with a great attitude. One of those guys who seems to like what they do and are happy to work. I had Jason install some outdoor electrical outlets on our deck. He came up with some good ideas to make the installation better and he stuck to his estimate. He showed up when he said he would, did the work quickly and professionally, and didn't let my dog's supervision get in the way. I would definitely recommend and hire him again. Thanks Jason! read more

Jason Mathers is by far the best electrician we have ever used. We hired him to rewire and repair all of the lighting in our 5000 sqft building and we where more than pleased. He was absolutely professional absolutely affordable and he did top of the line work. Since the big job he did for us at our business he's come back several times to help us out with numerous sized jobs. We where so pleased and we absolutely recommend Jason to everyone no matter the size of the job. read more

I was having problems with the florescent lights in my kitchen, so I phoned Jason Mathers Electric. Jason has his own business and was busy when I called so I left a message. He phoned me back that evening and said that he knew what the probable problem was. He came to my house the next day, checked out the equipment, told me what it would cost to fix it, went and picked up the new parts and had everything working in just over an hour. He only charged me for one hour of work even though he actually spent more than one hour at my house. I felt that he was very competent, polite and honest and his rates were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Jason Mathers Electric to anyone needing electrical work. read more

I just had Jason replace my old circuit breaker panel with a new improved one. Jason was easy to contact. He was professional and friendly. His price was on the low end of what I was told to expect. He did a thorough job fixing all the little details. When he finished the job, he gave me a discount because the job took less time that he had estimated. I really appreciated his honestly. Will use again. read more

Jason is so awesome. He came on time on a Saturday at 9am. I think it's actually outside his normal working hours, but he still showed up on time anyways. My repair was very simple, but I asked him about a lot of stuff that I wanted to do in the future. He is very knowledgeable, courteous, and most importantly honest. We had a long talk about brazilian jiu jitsu and working out after he was done with the repair. I don't think you can find a better electrician. read more

We had Jason do a pretty big electrical job for us a few weeks ago. He was wonderful. Very professional. On time. Had all his paperwork in order. We couldn't have been more pleased with his work. Highly recommend Jason Mathers Electric for any electrical work you may have. We will definitely call on him again. Thanks Jason. read more

I hired Jason last minute for some electrical work before a city inspection on a rental property I manage. I tried calling the other guys here on Yelp and needless to say, I didn't even get a return call. I was very, uber -duper- super appreciative that he was able to come out on such short notice. He was very professional and thorough and he really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain things, which I appreciated. His rate is very reasonable as well! All in all, this is the guy you want for your electrical needs. I really couldn't recommend anyone better, and that's hard to say in a field that is saturated with your run-of-the-mill workers. read more

I was nervous since he hasn't had any new reviews since 2012. He took a over a week and a half to respond and then came and seemed very nice and knowledgeable and willing to discuss options and his verbal quote was well thought-out and we were set on him. Then came weeks of lack of communication (said would email written quote by Wednesday then didn't respond for 10 days), responding only after multiple texts and calls and emails always with an excuse (his email address was unreliable IT guy was bad, offshore job, emergency job, etc). It's been 3.5 weeks since we first contacted him. Waste of our time. Seems really flaky so we steered clear. read more

Like all of us, I was simply looking for someone reliable and preferably honest. Unfortunately, Jason didn't fit either. Although he is a very nice guy. I needed an electrician to get my replaced pool light up to code and Jason was one of the first to respond. He looked over the proposed job and indicated he could do the work, without much hesitation. We agreed upon him starting the next week but he called the day before, late afternoon, to cancel..the portable light switch was 'not in stock' and he would call first thing in the morning with an update. Next morning.... NOTHING. Didn't hear back for another 2 days, by then I had secured another electrician. Easiest way out of it was to simply explain he didn't have time for the job and maybe to recommend someone else? Again, just looking for reliability and honesty. read more

Jason was awesome! He was very professional and personable. I would definitely recommend him, especially after the awesome job he did mounting my TV over my fireplace. 5 stars for sure! read more

A+ service. Jason Mather's service harkens back to a simpler time when folks took pride in providing quality service at a fair price. I just moved to the area and needed some help with installing a 4 pronged outlet for our dryer. One electrician we spoke to told us to just buy a new gas dryer to fit what was already there as he sounded like it was too much of a hassle to re-wire the house. Then we called Jason. Jason was quick to respond and come take a look. Instead of having to re-wire a new circuit from our electric panel on the opposite end of the house (which he was happy to do as this was the original plan), he found the house was already wired as needed and was able to purchase the new outlet and set it up the next day. He was very professional and extremely nice. It was such a small job but he made time in his busy schedule to help me out. I will definitely be calling Jason with any other electrical needs for our home! read more

After reading all these great reviews, I called JM. He has been so busy because of these reviews that I had to wait a month and a half (incl. my 2 wk vacation). I own apartments and am looking for a professional, reliable electrician. We talked about my long-term needs, expectations-communication is a big one!-and he sounded great. The week before the appt. I called for clarification of fixtures I was going to buy. I specifically asked if I need T-8 or T-12s. The returned call said, "It's JM @ phone #". When I called back saying I have to buy the fixtures to have them for the appt., I got his VM. I called again, AND the morning he was to come. All the tenants had to park outside the garage for the day. He called after the appt time; I said I was disappointed and went over why. His response? Two "wow"s and a "sorry 'bout that." He was clueless about his lack of responsibility. If he would have apologized and had a game plan, he would have won me over, but it was outside his thinking. I'm so disappointed. I called Martinez elect. and Crazy John-both sound professional and adult. read more
