I had the pleasure of working with the team at Infinity Electric for the electrical panel upgrade at my home. We're a 2 EV household, so safe and consistent charging were my biggest concerns. As I was shopping around for quotes, I was pretty certain I'd need a new panel to handle the constant load of EV charging. I was already prepared to make the costly upgrade, but I wanted to see what other electricians recommended. The panel in my home was likely the original from the 1970's, which isn't rated or safe to handle today's EVs. Vince - the gentleman who provided the estimate - read my mind and also agreed that a panel upgrade would be the right way to do the job. Infinity Electric were the first and only company to recommend the electrical panel upgrade. The fact that they put safety and doing it right over trying to make a quick buck went a long way with me. This is gesture is what sealed the deal for me and confirmed that these guys are professionals. After we did the spot meter with SCE, Infinity Electric took care of all of the permitting with the city, scheduling, ordering materials, upgrading the panel, installing my EV charger in my garage and hauling away my old panel. The crew that did the install worked efficiently, cut no corners and were surprisingly tidy. Considering my panel is on the complete opposite side of the home, they were constantly going in and out of the attic crawl space to run the conduit and wiring. Construction is a messy business, but these guys made sure to leave my home exactly how they found it. All in all, my experience with Infinity Electric was phenomenal. They were clear with their recommendations, quick to provide status updates and overall were incredibly easy to work with. Highly recommended! read more

We are so glad to have found Infinity Electric. We called and spoke to Angelica after we had to turn off most of our electric panel that was hardly working due to corrosion. Mike came out right away and thoroughly inspected everything. Because the panel box was good, he was able to get another panel to match ours and replace the old parts with everything from the new panel. Mike and Shane came out as soon as the new panel arrived, since we had been without power. They did a stellar job, and made sure every part of the panel and up to SCE's wiring on the roof was correct. They tested the breakers and the amps on the circuits as well. Had a blown circuit breaker from a security light on our garage. It shut everything down in the garage, including our freezer and outside fridge 72 hours before a garden party for 100 guests. Called Infinity Electric and they had an electrician here within 12 hours. Eric was very professional, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He diagnosed our problem quickly and accurately and fixed it within 20 minutes. He then checked our other security lights just to make sure there were no other problems. We then discussed other future projects (more outside outlets, a bad inside outlet and installing an automatic sunshade) he gave us very reasonable prices and fully explained the whole process and the possible costs. Infinity Electric installed a 14kw solar system on my metal building in two days from start to finish. Choosing a solar installer was difficult, but I'm glad that I chose Infinity. The crew were professional, polite, and did very neat work. Other solar installers that I spoke with told me not to worry about certain things, but Infinity did things the safest way and gave me a very clean looking finished install. They were accommodating with my request for only a single roof penetration, and conduits that would be completely hidden after my spray foam installation. I have worked with Infinity Electric in the past on commercial projects, and always had a great experience working with Sean and Colleen. However this time John, who claims to be 2nd command, arrived to quote the project. The expectations were clear, hide conduit underground, replace 3 scone lights, install a new scone light and move a 4 plug box over a few feet. We ultimately agreed to T&M, seeing as I had worked with them in the past I felt comfortable with this route. 1st mistake, they scheduled the work and did not show up. When I called they admitted to the mistake and said it was down for the following week. 2nd mistake the 2 techs arrive onsite and having no understanding on the scope of work, so I explain, John arrives late and re-runs through the project but fails miserably to communicate the scope to the techs. 3rd they arbitrarily replaced the 4 plug with a 2 plug, installed conduit 18" up the wall rather than bury as clearly communicated, I reluctantly agreed to have it run at the base of the wall as it was all sudden an issue now for it to be buried. They left the project incomplete, while wiring up the spa was still needed, they failed to install one scone and replace the incorrectly installed 2-plug. I was billed nearly $2K for work with no detail on T&M, I responded with a request for a breakdown and did not get a response for 2 months. I was then contacted by Ryan inquiring re the status of payment, I explained how many mistakes were made, time and work wasted, and that I never heard back from Billing on my request for a breakdown, and that I had another electrician come in a fix the mistakes and complete the job. He then took the concerns to the out of town owner, Mike, who contacted me regarding payment today...claims they had sent 3 emails with a new detailed invoice, yet could not provide any backup of ever having sent any emails post the 3/29 email with the original invoice, claims they gave me a discount of $185 but still details work on the invoice that was not completed or done incorrectly and not corrected. It was a conference call with John in the background admitting to his mistakes, all the while saying "I didn't see a need for a 4-plug" - What??? You UNPLUGGED 3 cords when YOU removed the 4-plug box. The owner was highly defensive, largely unapologetic, and abrasive in his poor attempt to understand the scope of work and John's failures. The job was a total CF, sorting out the billing was another CF, had IE been responsive to original request for detailed billing this situation would NOT have dragged out for "145 days" - thanks for counting Mike! Save yourself the aggravation, go with PowerSmart Electric, Inc. (Brent & Frankie were awesome!), they finished my project, quality workmanship and competitive pricing. read more

I had a terrific experience with these guys. The work needed was to move a 3-way light switch to a new location, add a couple of outlets for a new entertainment center, and pull a new 230v 20A circuit and roof level disconnect for a mini split heat pump. The tricky part was the original 3-way switch box served as a j-box for a lot of ancient wiring and I thought I'd have to live with a cover plate right at the entrance to my rec room. They cleanly moved the old wiring to much less visible spot where bookshelves will hide the box. They promptly returned calls, made their scheduled appointments, did high quality work and always kept me in the loop. I will definitely call them again for future work. read more

I hired Infinity to install a plug for an electric vehicle, and I'm pretty disappointed. It took only 10 days for them to go from a bid to an installation, but then it took over two months after that for the job to be complete through a passed inspection. The Work: The installation itself went ok. The installer was late, but he cleaned up after himself. (I can't believe that's the #1 positive thing I'm saying.) Unfortunately, he made a mistake that led to a failed inspection. Office Communication: ...is horrible. I didn't get any proactive call or email to schedule an inspection until I called (multiple times). I eventually had to escalate to the owner to even get a response. Scheduling the actual inspections was also tough, in part because the office staff couldn't follow agreed-upon protocol (e.g., sending a text message the morning of an inspection so I can know the status during business meetings...instead I had to call to get a status!) Interestingly, I paid for the work when it was completed, which was before the inspection, so I'm not sure if Infinity Electric has a "well they already paid for the work, so let's forget about the customer" attitude or what. First Inspection: Failed. Infinity sent an electrician to be at the inspection, but he didn't pre-inspect the work to see that it would fail, so the inspector came and immediately failed it. Waste of 2 hours of my time. Second Inspection: Missed. Infinity scheduled a second inspection but didn't bother to send anyone or tell me, so no one was here to give the inspector access to the job. Third Inspection: Finally passed, but Infinity didn't bother to send anyone to liase with the inspector, so I had to do it myself instead of being on a phone call for work. (Yeah, I work on things other than electrical plug installations, which is why wanted to hire a "professional" electrician.) Bottom Line: Based on my experience, Infinity Electric may talk a good game when they bid a project, but their professionalism after that point is severely lacking. As a result, Infinity Electric cost me much more of my time than was necessary and led to much more frustration than is appropriate. read more
