Nick Martin and Luke Fornoff from Fornoff Electric, did a full day and a half of addressing and fixing a panoply of electrical issues of many sorts, both inside and outside, at our house. They were a delight to work with, really know their stuff, and went out of their way for us in so many respects. It's such a pleasure having everything fixed and working. We highly recommend them and their company. read more

I can't recommend Fornoff Electric enough! Mark and Luke came out today to install a Tesla Wall Connector and programmable lights inside my home, and the entire experience was flawless from start to finish. They showed up exactly on time (a rarity these days), took their time to get everything done right, and the results were perfect. The Tesla charger was installed seamlessly, and the lights were set up exactly as I wanted. What really impressed me was the whole process--from scheduling to installation. Mark answered every question I had beforehand, was always attentive and responsive, and made sure everything was crystal clear before the job even began. That level of care and communication is rare and so appreciated. The pricing was very fair for the quality and expertise they brought to the table, and it's obvious they take pride in their work. If you're looking for reliable, skilled, and honest electricians who make the process smooth and stress-free, Fornoff Electric is the team to call. Mark and Luke went above and beyond--I couldn't be happier with the results! read more

Mark was very responsive, timely and honest. He did a great job and offered a fair price. Highly recommend and would use him again.

Mark and his team did a very good job replacing my electrical panel, and changing out all outlets in my home to 3 prong plugs. I would recommend Fornoff Electric! read more

The guys showed up when they said they would. They even texted when they were 10 minutes out. There was a glitch with the ceiling fan from previous contractor. They were able to adjust and correct the issue and were friendly and professional. Thanks again Nick and Luke! read more

I purchased a deal from Conejo Valley Deals on February 18, 2014. I called the company from my work phone and asked the receptionist if Mark could come out and provide an estimate of the work to be done so that I could get a full understanding of how much the work would cost. He came out to the house and sent me an estimate on March 6, 2014. The dates of our email communications are below: March 6 - Received estimate via email from Mark March 6 - Responded to Mark's estimate asking how many hours it would take to have the work done March 14 - Sent a follow up email to Mark March 17 - Received a response from Mark regarding my March 6th question March 17 - I responded to Mark asking if he was available to do the work the following Thursday I did not receive a response from him so I called his office the week of March 31st to schedule an appointment. Yvonne, one of his assistants answered and said she didn't have the appointment book with her but would schedule the appointment for April 10th. She said she would return my call the next day to confirm the appointment. I did not hear back from her. I called the week prior to the appointment and spoke to Debbie who said my appointment was not in the books but Mark would be available. On Tuesday, April 8th, I had to cancel the appointment due to an illness so I rescheduled for April 16th with Yvonne. I received a call on April 10th (my original appointment date) from Debbie who said that Mark was going to be late. I said I had my appointment for April 16th but if he was available, he was more than welcome to come to do the work. She said that would be fine. The time was 1:12 p.m. on the 10th when I spoke to Debbie. She said Mark was going to be about an hour late. At 3 p.m., Mark still had not shown up nor did he call to tell me if he was going to come. I am incredibly disappointed in this company and would not recommend them at all. While Mark is a nice guy, he has some major business issues with his staff and his time. He told me that he had sold over 100 of these deals so I'm assuming he stretched himself too thin. Not a good business decision. read more

Mark Fornoff came to crimp aluminum wire on our flat roof condo. It soon became apparent that the house needed to be completely rewired with copper. He updated all the switches and outlets and added canned lighting as well. He also installed 3 ceiling fans. It was a big job and he did a great job and stands behind his work. read more

Rob and his crew handled everything I needed! Even recommended a plumber to help get a job done. Clean electrical work & amazing customer service! Will definitely be calling them again for future jobs! read more

I would steer clear of this company. Their work quality was decent, however the pricing was not. I purchased a Conejo Valley deal for a 2 hour work period for Fornoff Electric. The plan was for them to install a ceiling fan which was supposed to take 2 to 3 hours. I understood that extra time above the 2 hours was to be charged extra. Did it go over? You betcha... They charged me for going to the hardware store (twice), for the worker to be texting on his phone in the truck, and for basically not paying enough by buying the Conejo Valley deal (I'm assuming). We were hit for 2 1/2 hours extra labor above the 2 hours we paid ahead through Conejo Valley deals. We were not happy with that extra $317.00 but my wife paid it to get the guy out of the house... She wasn't going to argue with a large guy demanding money.... So after this happened I called the owner and he agreed to drop off a refund equal to 1 hours labor for the parts runs. That was over 2 weeks ago. No money dropped off or refund at all. He won't respond to email requests and at this point, I figure my money is long gone. Maybe it would have been different if I called them for a bid to do the work. However, I bought their Conejo deal offer in good faith that we would receive 2 hours of electric work. I guess I should have known better. read more

Fornoff Electric shows up when they say they will unlike so many contractors who don't show up at all. Mark Fornoff is super nice and courteous. He really knows his stuff. He drives a big ol' truck so it's unlikely he won't have whatever electrical part you need for your job which saves you time. Please note that out of the 8 reviews "not currently recommended" by yelp, 7 of them are 5 star. I highly recommend Fornoff Electric. read more

We have known Mark and used his company for most of the twenty+ years we have owned our home. He has always been honest and reliable, his crews are respectful and hardworking. Over priced. Charged me $145 service charge for an estimate. When mark left I had the same problem as when he came. I would not use him if he were the last electrician on earth. Total shyster read more

Wow!! I had the exact same experience as C.K. Bought the Conejo Deal for two hours of work. Scheduled an appt. The day before my first appt. they called to reschedule. The next appt. Jake showed up & we went thru everything that I needed to have done. This took approx. 30 min. He started to take off the old lights on the front of the house & informed me he needed to get parts . Now, shouldn't a reliable & experienced electrician already have basic stuff with them? This little shopping trip took 45 min. He got called away from my job for something that the company was going to make more money on (I'm sure). On the next appt. I was informed by Jake that my two hours from the Conejo Deal was now down to 1 hour since he was already at my house once before. I let him know that that wasn't right but I still wanted the lights put on the front of my house & told him to "Just get the job done". He made a comment to the effect of the company not making any money on the Conejo Deal. Listen up, Bozos!! Those things, as well as Groupon & Living Social aren't for you to make money. They're a way for you to show people your service/product & let them know what great customer service you provide. You failed!! I ended up paying for an hour of time as well as $80 in parts (Really?!! $80 for conduit?) Also during the time Jake was here he had me get up in the loft of my garage to move a bunch of stuff under the guise that he "had to get up there to get to some wiring". Well he never went up into the loft. He also thought it was perfectly ok to just barge into my house multiple times without knocking. I was alone & to have a large man just barge into my home was unacceptable. I locked the doors. He did other things to just irritate me just because I called him out on the poor business ethic. Stay away from Fornoff Electric! read more

Twenty four hours prior to New Year's Eve, a wired-in smoke detector in our home began "beeping!" I tried everything possible to stop the annoyance, to no avail. In the morning I called Fornoff Electric, recommended on Next Door, and the first availability was Thursday, January 2. I called several others, with the same response. Apparently Cynthia at Fornoff Electric took pity on our situation and called back to say her boss, Mark Fornoff, would come by between 5:00 and 6:00 (New Year's Eve) to solve our problem. We were very impressed! Now that is professionalism we can recommend 100%. Thank you, Mark Fornoff, and Happy New Year! read more

Hmmm...seems this Conejo Deal was a bad idea for more than just me. I bought the deal for two hours of work and I assumed that meant two hours of work at our house, not including the time to look around at what needs to be done (isn't that part of the generally free estimate???) and then the time it took to run to the store to get parts (45min?!?!) So the first hour of my two hours of work was used up already. I ended up getting something else done than what we were originally hoping knowing there was no way they would be able to make a sufficient amount of progress in one hour. Was SUPER disappointed. We were really looking forward to the completed project but instead didn't do that knowing that we would be charged the $115 per hour for sure to complete the job. I would have given them two stars but the fact that they left the toilet seat up after using our restroom.... not polite. I really wanted to like this company but definitely disappointed. :( read more

Great service. Came out, gave me a bid and were able to come the next day to do the job. They did an outstanding job, and I love that it is a family owned business and Mark's sons were just as professional as he was. I will definitely use him again! read more

Poor customer service. My interaction with Fornoff started well, I needed one circuit in the house changed from 120V to 240V, they responded quickly to my inquiry, put me in touch with Mark, scheduled and showed for an estimate, but that's where it stopped going well. After the onsite I didn't receive a call or quote of any kind. After 2 days I emailed, after 7 more emailed again only to receive a curt response stating the panel is full and would need full replacement at a cost of $4K, which seems a little steep. I inquired about possible options to a repeat non-response. They lost my business. read more

Mark is the best.! He was extremely nice and honest. When I called him he even tried make sure it wasn't something simple like a tripped breaker so he wouldn't have to come out and charge me if he didn't have to. He showed up at my house quickly and promptly fixed the problem. Very knowledgeable and the prices were more than fair. I would highly recommend this electrical contractor and will always call him for my future work. Thank you! read more

Kept rescheduling my appointment, and when they did show up, didn't follow the written instructions that I left for them. Their office staff even had them written on my receipt for them, even after I spent the money to purchase the supplies I wanted installed. They just reinstalled my old hardware. I purchased the Conejo Valley deals for 2 hrs, but to get around offering me the discount, they charged me for more man hours. Final price was $100 over the estimate given. read more

I recommend Fornoff Electric without any reservations. Mark has done both big and small jobs at our house. He came with a crew the first time to replace outdoor lights, run network cables, add power lines to a home office, and replace the kitchen florescent ceiling with LED can lights. Mark was able to fix several wiring errors left in the house by other people. He is always pleasant, shows up on time and provides an honest assessment of the work to be done; he is very knowledgeable about all things electric. Mark also cleans up after the work - you would never know he was there. We finally found an electrician we can rely on and you can't go wrong with Fornoff Electric. read more

My husband and I are new homeowners and as you know it is so hard to find honest, great people! well, our search is over!!! Mark and Jake are seriously the best! Father/Son dream team! Cannot say enough good things about Fornoff Electric. Called them on short notice to remove some wiring in a decorative post so it could be removed. Jake showed up on time and went right to work. During his visit he checked the electric panel and commented that it was very old (1958) and would probably need to be replaced soon. It was running only 70 amps to the house! The house was a new purchase and the inspector had made the same comment regarding the age and need to replace soon. We made the decision to have Fornoff replace the panel. When DWP initially said the panel didn't have to be relocated, Mike (my Fornoff liaison) was leery considering the present location and asked us to set up a second DWP meeting where they would meet with DWP. During the second meeting, DWP said the panel absolutely had to be relocated...they weren't sure why the first guy said no. I was glad Mike questioned the first guy and it turned out to be a good thing. Panel was relocated to a safer location. Turned out to be a two-day job. Jake and Mark (owner) were on time for the install. They cleaned up the areas (old panel and new panel) leaving no old wires, nails, screws, etc. They arranged for the permits and the stucco repair where the old panel had been. Their work is impeccable. I asked for a couple of quotes for some additional work and Mike provided them asap. I have them coming to install a chandelier in the next few days. Their schedule is a little crazy but they are making time to install the chandelier, which I appreciate. Fornoff has a client for life in me and my family. Workmanship, communication, and pricing all great. I highly recommend them. read more
