Imperial Solar was fair and transparent during the evaluation, and efficient and detail-oriented throughout the installation. The crew arrived on time and left the area clean. The system was installed professionally and looks excellent. Since our meter change, our bill has decreased by 80%, even during winter. We look forward to seeing our savings in the summer. We are very satisfied with Imperial Solar and highly recommend them to anyone considering a solar installation.

Before conducting a site inspection, they required me to sign a contract and pay a $500 deposit. After completing the site plan, they informed me that a panel upgrade was necessary and that the battery would need to be installed in an inconvenient location. These changes increased the project cost by an additional $3,700, bringing the total well above the original quote. I was surprised by such a significant price increase and decided to cancel the project. I then requested a refund of my $500 deposit. It took nearly two months and more than ten phone calls before I finally received an answer. At that point, I was told that the deposit was nonrefundable because I had signed the contract. I find it unreasonable that Solar Optimum required a signed contract and deposit before conducting a proper site assessment, then substantially increased the price afterward and refused to refund the deposit when I chose not to proceed. In my view, a thorough site inspection should have been completed before providing a quote and requiring a commitment from the customer. Based on my experience, I would advise potential customers to carefully review the contract terms and understand the refund policy before signing.

This company is the worst. They do not know how to install a roof or fix the roof they installed…read more We had our entire roof (pitched and flat) replaced by them in 2018. We have had the flat part of the ceiling leak EVERY YEAR since they fixed it. We call, they schedule us, someone comes weeks later and they say they "fixed" it but then next time it rains it leaks again. They blamed our vents so we were stupid enough to pay these people to remove the vents because we didn't want to void the warranty by having someone else do it and guess what? Now the roof leaks in DIFFERENT parts. Worse part is that now we're starting to see STAINS on the ceiling from WATER DAMAGE. The last guy said it doesn't affect the integrity of the roof but he found wet spots THROUGHOUT the ceiling 2 weeks AFTER the rain. I have a toddler in here and they want to claim that a ceiling that is still wet after 2 weeks of no rain is safe??? I just HOPE that there is no mold, mildew, it wood rot in between these layers of wet wood! My husband has been calling and they are giving him the run around about scheduling someone to come. I tried calling and when they did call back they called to say they had no updates on when someone could assess the roof further. I have written a review in the past about our issues with the install and the first leaks, it's lost in all the other complaints they have about leaking roofs. If you still are on the fence about using this company you can read all of those and save yourself the trouble we didn't. Avoid them!
