I loved this place the 1st time I end up there by mistake as it had everything I wanted at that time tea, snacks, internet... had fried tofu and tea...tofu was very very spicy though, but I guess tea made up for it... lesson learned to ask the spiciness for next time...I liked the chill out location so we went for round 2, next time we were at this place... this time we ordered two meals with 2 large teas and remembered to tell them to hold on the spice and since we came here through five stars the 1st time, we used five stars again, unfortunately no pts this time even though they say they put it, fig it might show after 24hrs ok fine, decided to wait for it... was going to leave them a positive review so I checked in and got the Yelp deal... too bad we were leaving and I wanted to make sure my pts are there 1st, which i never got... Tea Spots is my favorite boba place, hands down. The staff is friendly and helpful, the WiFi is free, the flavor of the boba is excellent, and there are tons of snack and drink options. I especially love the Thai tea smoothie and the avocado smoothie, into which they incorporate real Thai tea -- not only mix -- and fresh avocados, respectively. (Admittedly, while everyone I know loves the Thai tea smoothie, the avocado smoothie is more polarizing. But I'm a fan.) The kiwi slush is very refreshing, with an excellent kiwi flavor. Or if you're in the mood for something lighter, get their green tea with no sugar added. In addition to regular boba, they also have mini boba and a ton of other options for enhancing your drinks. As for food, the pepper crispy chicken and the fried tofu are always a good bet. Their happy hour specials -- which start at 6 p.m. and continue through the evening -- are a nice option if you only want a small snack: just 99 cents for several egg rolls, mochi (taro or peanut), or pot stickers. I love this place. Lets start with the fact they let you use Wifi and has plenty of plugs for your computers/Ipod/phones etc. They are really polite. And on top of things when I told my friend I needed to get a box to go, when I turned around a guy had handed me a box to go!! Their fried tofu is wonderful. Though the sauce they serve is a little too salty for me. But that is my personal taste. I also love their calamari. Their tea is pricey though, but again most places that serve boba is.... Unfortunately, when I ordered the pepper squid balls again they were still frozen in the middle. They were cool about it and quickly replaced my order. I'm loving this boba cafe. You get free boba upon check-in on yelp. This is right across PCC, and parking can be a bit of a challenge at times. The prices of the drinks can be somewhat higher than other boba cafes, but that's ok. They have an extra large cup, and knowing how much I love boba, the extra large comes in handy. My favorite drink is the lychee black tea. It is very refreshing, on a nice hot summer day. I would also recommend trying the crispy chicken. I go to this place often. Food is pretty good and my son loves the popcorn chicken meal however one of the workers (skinny hispanic girl) there is a bit rude. Every time I order from her by phone, I dread picking up my food. Today was the worst, I decided to check in to get my free boba topping and she asked that I tell her over the phone next time. Girl, you need to chill. She's always demanding "don't put your card in yet" when paying etc. I barely talk to you not sure why you are giving me attitude all the time. Maybe she's stressed from how busy it is. Not sure. I came here once prior to my honors English class ending to get a celebratory drink. I've tried a lot of Thai milk teas from my neighborhood and others (Bobatime, Boba Loca, a local donut shops, Ocha, random restaurants, etc.) and this place, by far, has the best Thai milk tea I've ever tasted! The beverage is very sweet and addictive--a tad bit expensive compared to other places I've visited (about $5-6 for a large), but the quality is very rich. The large is also pretty big and nicely packaged. I kept wondering when I would finish drinking it! The service is a bit slow, but that's because they like to get the quality of the product right. The wait is definitely worth it! Friendly staff, clean place, as well! Will definitely come back here again with my boyfriend and continue to recommend this place to others! I literally always go to Tea Spots since it is so nearby my school. I tried shaved snow here and it was amazing! The shaving snow was big enough for three people to share, and the texture was creamy. I find it hard to get a taste of good snow shaved ice, however, this place will definitely do! I also ALWAYS get taro milk tea. It is not too sweet, not too bland. It has that perfect taste without a taste of too much sweetness. Their boba is chewy, and I always get size large because I like to keep a drink with me when I study. I tried Szechuan spicy minced beef which is also my absolute favorite. The bowl of noodles comes in a very large portion. I can never finish it. The bowl of noodles is spicier than I thought. I have a high tolerance for spice, but this noodle kind of challenges me. That's what makes it enjoyable for me to eat. The texture of the noodle is fresh and good, and the minced beef is a bit salty which goes super well with the absolutely nonflavoured noodle! Lastly, the place is great for studying. It has many outlets, and shades which makes it a perfect place to study. The brightness of the place is good, but the parking spots is limited to 30 minutes, which can become a bit of a bother. Also when it gets crowded, it GETS crowded and loud which can distract you from studying. However, otherwise many times Tea Spot is always my "go-to" place. read more

convenient lot parking, clean with some tables good for studying and hanging out, nice variety of teas and also add-ins. they had a deal where if you ordered a large you'd get the super size for free so we had giant cups of peach green tea and also barley tea. i got the pink bobas in the peach green tea (they ran out of the traditional bobas and said the only difference with the pink is that it's less sweet - tasted chewy and equally delicious to me!). Forrest Y ordered the lemon tea with barley since he's continuously on the hunt for a replication of the lemon barley tea he tried and loved in Singapore. the barley tea here actually has chunks of barley grit in it, which was kind of smoky and definitely seemed like an acquired taste, but it was nice that they had that option. i also spotted a lavender green tea, which sounds amazing and will be the item i try next time we come back! read more

Well, I had the milk tea latte, and this place serves it up the way I want it just with enough sweetness. The boba offerings here are great too, as my group ordered their usual favorites, including Taro Slush, Watermelon and Mango smoothies/slush. The large cups are HHHHUUUUUUGGGEEEE. They serve a variety of fusion asian food too which I have yet to try on our future visits. Located just across PCC, this place must be THE boba spot for many in this school and neighborhood. Service is friendly and prompt. I'd give it 5 stars, but the crowded store and loud music kinda left me leaving the place as soon as I got my order so I didn't really get to enjoy my drink chatting with friends over some Korean chicken wings at the store. read more

Its got some good reviews on Yelp! My experience, not so hot. I ordered Thai tea with Boba and I have to say, it was pretty flavorless. I know it takes a lot of tea leaves to brew Thai tea, but seriously! It tastes like it would after all the ice is melted, weak and feeble. Boba was okay , not super hard, though I like mine pillowy soft. These had some definite chew, so if you're into that, by all means. Maybe their other drinks are better, just stay away from the Thai tea. I do have to say, the food looks good. Next time I'm in the area and in the mood for popcorn chicken, I'll give it a try. read more

just tried this place today. i was out in pasadena buying boxes for my move and was craving boba. i remembered reading about Tea Spots on yelp and decided to give it a try! they have a really extensive drink menu with fruit ices, smoothies, milks, fresh fruit juices, hot teas and milk tea. they also have taiwanese/chinese/korean rice plates. i was drooling over the picture of taiwanese pepper crispy chicken. i got a large honeydew milk tea with boba. the boba was nice and chewy. not too sweet. the honeydew flavoring was a little strong, but overall, i really liked it. the board outside was advertising something called cotton ice, which they also had a lot of flavors for. i haven't tried it before, but it looked/sounded interesting. the decor was a little mismatched, but they have a lot of seating area - tables and couches and when i dropped by a lot of couples, families, and young people were hanging out. also, both the people working there (i think one might have been the owner or manager) were really friendly and helpful. i wish i weren't moving so that i could come back again for boba and to try some of the food. maybe when i come back to visit! :D read more

The worst service. They have 2 young kids late at night running this business when they have a long line. All my food was cold and they refused to fix it, I asked for half sugar for my drink it tasted like water and milk. The refused to fix it.
