My watermelon tea was pretty good and the boba was chewy. The hubby got a strawberry cheese tea with grass jelly. He didn't like his as much and said there is barely any strawberry taste. Service was friendly and efficient. Street parking is available but not abundant so you might have a circle a few times or park a few blocks away. We ordered thru DoorDash, super quick and easy. Nice variety of drink choices and signature drinks. We ordered the matcha latte and Oreo matcha. Their boba was good, but I do like my boba a little more chewy. The matcha definitely had a stronger taste and we couldn't taste much or the Oreo flavor. Coming from LA county, maybe we have too many good tea shops choices. I saw this tea place while grabbing dinner. I ordered a lemon tea added boba, a passion fruit tea added boba, and a black sugar boba. It takes me approximately 15- 20 minutes waiting time. The quality of lemon tea and brown sugar tea taste are OK. The passion fruit tea has no passion fruit taste, it only contains 3 slices of lemon which taste a bit sour. Talking about the service, service person usually will bag it for you if he/she sees you has no extra hands to carry. It turns out I have to ask for cup carrier. Overall, I gave 3 stars. read more

Drinks are good , but kiosk ordering didn't allow no tips for self order/checkout. It forces a minimum of $1 for it to process my order. This is wrong business practice for a dink that's $5 ending up paying 20% tips for less than 3mins to make. Cute spot! I like the bright and clean ambiance. They also have so many yummy and a few unique options to choose from. I ordered the emerald grape slush drink and it was super yummy and well balanced and the cream on top was a nice touch and well made too! Sometimes the cream toppings at other places taste a bit funky/old but it tasted super fresh and the texture blended well in the drink. A new boba place in the neighborhood is always a must-try! I got the four seasons milk tea w boba. HOT since it is winter and so cold these days! The price and drink size were fair. The service was nice; there is a sign that mentions to let the staff know if you want them to fix a drink for you in case you aren't satisfied. In terms of the taste, I was a bit disappointed that the tea taste didn't seem as strong, but the boba was chewy and sweet and the milk tea taste was still pleasant. This is a relatively newer addition to the every burgeoning boba Taiwanese tea craze in Downtown Millbrae. And you'd think, "well how many can there be, and how different is each from the other?" I thought the same thing. Until. Until this. We walked in almost randomly. I was immediately taken by the "coco" section, where they have drinks and puddings--yes, puddings, that are coconut based. Next time, I'll get one of their coconut drinks. This time I got their classic coconut pudding, no fruit, because I thought it'd be too sugary or sweet. I love their presentation: in a little large, a decent portion and generous quantity--it looks like a glass jar, but it plastic, with a little spoon taped to the side. It's a wonderful texture with a pure and rich flavor--not at all sweet, just fresh and clean and like I said, pure. I transferred some to another little bowl to eat when I got home, (rather than eat directly from their jar)--in order to avoid introducing bacteria into theyjar. I wanted to eat it in several servings over the course of a few days. I eat smaller portions of everything--though I know some people would and could eat the entire thing in one sitting, I don't. The price is about $7 plus tax and tip, which for the generous portion, is great. The customer service was FANTASTIC--the lady, I should've gotten her name, was super sweet and patient, proactively explaining their different drinks and puddings. Love love love, and though their are at least three other boba drink places immediately thing a few blocks of my house--and this tea hut is a bit off the beaten track, more around the corner ... it's worth it. 2-star means "could've been better" and 1-star means "not good"; unfortunately our experience at Tea Hut falls into not good. (Friday night, 7pm) Finished dinner at Ben Tre down the street and walked past; Tea Hut was completely empty so we figured score! Grab a boba on the way back to the car. We ordered two drinks, and it took 20 minutes. (Seriously think about how long you wait for your boba.... it's nowhere close to 20 minutes) A customer came in with their child and ordered right after us (again, pretty empty store). After waiting 15 minutes, they requested (and received) a refund and left empty handed. Oof So after waiting said 20 minutes for our drinks, they came out.... wrong. Thankfully we caught it, and to the store's credit, corrected it. but man, it's not a great look you know? Two dashers came in to ask for their orders and had to wait. A few more customers came in and the employees (I saw two) said the wait was "pretty long". It might have been a fluke, or an equipment failure (sh!t happens) but the boba market is fairly saturated (many options) and the premise is of PMT is pretty simple; tea, ice, flavor, boba, and maybe some fancy stuff if you're feeling it. If they can't make your order perfectly and in a timely manner, they should either reduce the menu options and/or upstaff/train the team. Clearly, we will not be coming back. read more
