From a place with beautiful lights, I ordered my favorite Jasmine Tea with Salty Cheese Foam. It was good, but kind of frustrating in a way. They didn't ask about amount of ice and I didn't know that will be a problem. Unfortunately, it was. They use big chunks of ice, which was flooding in my cup and destroyed all of my favorite salty cheese foam. However, since I went to them for the second time and accounted for every little detail, and got a good drink the second time - I won't complain too much about my first impression of this place. The service was phenomenal. There was nothing left to desire from the experience. For one, the customer service experience was fantastic, with our drinks made fairly quickly even with a barrier with the available tea base. And the drinks were amazing. Truly nothing to scoff at in terms of flavor. As a non-native tourist, this was a great way to end off a fun day in California. 10/10 would and will come back again. read more

Update from my most recent visit. The drink was way too sweet even with 50-75% sweet. The staff is friendly and the seating area is clean. There is a sign right when you walk in from the front door and on the counter that says leave a review and you get a free 16OZ soy milk tea and topping. That is false advertisement. I also see someone else mentioned they had the same issue. read more

Came here on a Sunday around 3PM, lots of seats, very clean. Parents and I got 3 drinks total: - black tea with mini taro balls and cheese foam with 25% sugar, no ice: Really flavorful black tea, lots of cheese foam. A bit too sweet even with 25% sugar, but I guess the mini taro balls already have flavor. Mini taro balls could've been harder as well, they were borderline too soft. - orange passionfruit tea, less sugar (there wasn't a no sugar option), no ice: had passion fruit syrup, which I thought wouldn't be the case as they claim all natural ingredients. I guess syrup can be made from natural ingredients, but I assumed fresh fruit. Meh. Tea was strong though, nicely balanced with the fruit flavors. - hot taro milk which came with mini taro balls: mini taro balls were way too soft due to the hot drink, they were actually really bad. If the store wants to offer this drink, they need to make taro balls a bit harder specifically for the hot drinks. All in all a good spot, really good tea flavor. Taro balls need a bit of help, but other than that, wifi available, lots of seating, bathroom available too. read more

I love the concept, no syrups and stuff that i wouldn't want. Great tasting tea with good combinations of fruit. I love that it's not a fancy space but more straight forward and offering a tasty drink. Yelp, maybe we need to start having half stars because it's unfair that i have to deduce a whole star for little things. A nice customer had to tell me that our drinks were up. Nobody who worked there even said a think and we sat next to the counter. I like that you guys did send me a text to say the order was received and until now i still never got a notification that order is ready for pick up. Please fix this for other customers who are waiting for their drinks. read more

Tea hut has been one of my fav milk tea brands in the Bay Area and I'm glad to see the opening of this location! Their drinks are usually presented nicely. It seems they use quality ingredients and the items are priced reasonably. I've tried a few different drinks and my fav has been the cheese pinky lychee, a very refreshing fruity drink which comes with one topping. I recommend 25% sweetness if you don't like your drink to be too sweet. I also like their soy milk tea, which is quite unique. Unfortunately, it was out of stock this time. Another bonus point for folks me to order ahead is they have their own website, which is quite easy to use, so you can avoid the increased pricing at third party delivery apps. read more

This Tea Hut location is located in a strip-like area/plaza in Downtown Millbrae. This is a busy street and they have parking right in front, if you are lucky to find one. The employees here are not the most friendliest or welcoming, especially if you ask them for help/ask questions. I usually get milk teas, but I was feeling for something fruity on this particular visit, so I ordered their Baby Peach and Strawberry Energy. The Baby Peach was a bit floral/fragrant for me. The Strawberry Energy was decent - it was a bit sour/tart with a slight sweetness to it. I will stick with mango next time - either their Coco Mango or Mango Dreamer, or my usual - the jasmine milk tea. read more

I really like their unique coconut family series. Though there are a lot of milk tea stores nearby. Tongsui might be the only one that has something similar, their coconut jelly jar. But milk tea with coconut milk jelly? No second store has it. All their drink are really made from fresh fruit. So if you like healthy stuff definitely stick with it. would like them to keep their menu simple and special as it is now. it would be great if it will be available for snack pass online order and pickup. I got the osmanthus rice milk tea with less sugar and oat milk to share. Service on a saturday around noon was quick. Drink tasted a little sour(?) due to the fermented rice flavor. This review is for their service. I asked if CocoMelon contains dairy, the staff told me no then I placed my order. End up my son who has dairy allergies reacted after take a few sips from the drink. His lips are now swollen and has a big blister. I'm so disappointed!!! I love their drinks but PLEASE make sure your answer is correct before telling a customer.
