I wrote this review 8 years ago. Could have written it 20 years ago, still applies today. Finally had an issue with the computer they built for me that generated that review. Had planned on leaving it, hoping I'd get it back within a month, assuming there would be problems obtaining any needed parts due to supply chain issues and availability. I doubted they would even remember me, but they recognized and warmly greeted me, and made me feel as welcome as any business ever has. Rather than just dropping it off after explaining the problems it was having, I wound up spending a couple of very enjoyable hours as they dedicated their time and attention to solving a myriad of issues that had developed, including replacing a dead video card with a very desirable one that's almost impossible to obtain, but they just happened to have. Fixed several software issues that I hadn't been able to resolve, even a couple that I hadn't even mentioned, and simply skillfully and knowledgeably restored my desktop to better than new condition. Spent less than I should have, and left dropped-jawed, stunned and thrilled. Again. In December, 2017, my HP wireless desktop computer suddenly stopped working. Would not turn on, no sound, nothing. This was unexpected, and the computer always as been connected to a high-quality surge protector/voltage regulator to help guard against sudden failures. I had owned this all-in-one computer since purchased new five years ago, and wanted to keep using this model. A replacement would be well over $1,300. I live in West Springfield, and had been going past TCS Computer for many years but had not had cause to visit them. I decided to give them a try, and bungled up my computer, keyboard, and wireless mouse and took it all to them. I am very glad that I did. I was greeted by one of the shop's technicians, a young man named Mazi, Very friendly and helpful. I left my computer with him after explaining the problem. He did not need the wireless keyboard or mouse. A week or so later, he called to say that he diagnosed the problem was with a failed motherboard and a bad internal connection, and he would have to order new parts. I gave him the go-ahead, and two weeks or so later, Mazi called to say the computer had been fixed and was ready for pick-up. Very reasonable fees. That was three weeks ago, and I can say this all has turned out fine. No more problems, and in fact I am writing this review on the same computer. My thanks to Mazi for his work. He is a personable and competent young man. I also got to meet the owner of TCS Computer, Mr. Abi Soltani, who also is a personable businessman. I would go back to TCS for any future computer work, and I have a few computers. You should see TCS first for your computer maintenance or repair needs. read more

If you need hard to find parts (i.e., high end parts just released) this is the place to go. These guys have contacts within the industry and can get you what you need FAST. I normally build my own machines but I had an extremely hard time finding two high end video cards just a few days after they hit the market and the guys at TCS found them within 24 hours. They ordered a number of parts, and it all arrived and were ready for pick-up within a week, this includes construction and testing of the new rig. I highly recommend these guys. I was buying a $4000 gaming rig (just the tower, no monitor, keyboard, mouse, or anything else) so maybe they treated me better than Joe M. because of the price, but I can't say enough good things about these guys, very fast and very good work. One machine I bought from them nearly 10 years ago is still running strong so I know they do quality work too with quality parts. I've tried big box stores to transfer data and set up new computers in the past. They have always taken too many days, and I rely heavily on having my computer available. Plus, I've had problems with those big box stores before. This time I tried TCS and am SO HAPPY that I did! Mazi, the Service Manager, was very knowledgeable, polite and responsive. My husband and I stopped in just to see how long it would take and how much it would cost. After a lengthy discussion with him, we decided to bring him the work. He finished the work as promised in only a day and a half for a total setup, exactly as I wanted it. I'm not super knowledgeable about computer setup, so his work and expertise were critical. I have been a customer of Abi Soltani's at his computer shop in West Springfield for close to 30 years. I've used their services for both business and personal computer issues. A few days ago I had some serious computer security issues and criminals were running amok with my computer information. Several weeks ago, a friend recommended this Business to fix my 5 year-old Dell XPS, 13 inch. I had problems with the Battery not charging. I bought a Battery and changed it myself - no change. I bought a Power Cord - no change. I took the laptop to TCS and they discovered it was the connection device inside the computer where the Power Cord attaches to. They ordered the part and fixed it rather quickly. Overall, Excellent Customer Service and thus far, the Quality of work is also Excellent. The Cost was well worth it to me. My laptop had a broken case. When I called TCS, they told me to bring it that day. They did not charge anything to look at my computer and diagnose the problem. After about 15 minutes, while I waited, they found the problem was a little more complex than they originally thought. They explained what they needed to do, and that it would take 1-2 hours. They were finished within that time, and the cost was extremely reasonable - much much less than another shop had quoted me. I highly recommend this business. I traveled 2000 miles to this shop, and it was worth it! I couldn't find anyone near my home in Northern Utah that would repair a broken charging port on my laptop. I was traveling at Thanksgiving, so I found TCS Computer within walking distance of my mother's house. Mazi looked at photos and ordered the part to arrive the same day I did. Then he repaired my computer in 2 1/2 hours. I'm back in business. He was quick, friend, polite, and very open about what he could and couldn't do. And it's fixed! I took my computer to Best-Buy for repair to my back light on my Panasonic CF-73 lap top,it is used for estimating at my job so time is a problem,Best-Buy had my lap top for a week before they said it can't be repaired.My wifes boss told me about TCS,they had my lap top working three days later,with a bill less than my check out charge from Best-Buy. I rarely need a computer repair service, but my college son was home for winter break and was concerned his lithium computer battery was going to explode and damage his entire computer. The power supply on my 20 year old Lenovo computer died. My previous experiences with TCS had been excellent so I took my Lenovo to them for repair. They offered to fix it, but they also suggested that I replace it and that they would transfer all programs and data to the replacement computer. The price was reasonable so I said OK. TCS is terrific. They spent four days working on my computer, recovered everything, and got it working. Only charged me $130 .The problem turned out to be deeper than they thought. I took it back, they spent another day working on it and made a full backup of the hard drive just in case something else goes wrong. Didn't charge me any extra. Everything seems to be fine now.
