Needed some old DS games for my father in law and i know they're pretty hard to come by even at gamestop since it's not supported anymore. Asked when we went in and they handed us their selection. I just loved the parts exchange service she would provide making upgrading easier. Need 16mb of Ram but too expensive? No problem. Just bring your 8mb for a discount on the 16mb. You have a problem trusting used motherboards? No problem, build the computer right there in one of their computer testing cubicals. Leave with confidence you got a great deal and product. Fast forward to 2024, I was in Virginia once more for Drone Pilot Training. I traveled an hour on our weekend off to visit Mrs. Susie once more. This place is a nostalgia trip to the past, present and future all at once. The store has every niche and unique item available. I saw tech from as old as the early 80s, to as recent as the mid 2010's. Everything from old AV switches, to KVMs, ATI Radeon graphics cards, to network switches, and even some servers. The staff is super polite and helpful without being pushy. If I ever need some weird obscure cable or battery charger, this is the place I am visiting first. read more

This place is a geek/nerd haven! Used old games that you cannot buy anywhere else anymore like Windows XP games, PS2 games, original XBOX, PS3 games, thousands of DVDS, and various other electronics. Suzie is really nice and gives fair prices and the transaction always feels like neither one of us are getting ripped off, unlike at pawn shops. If you become a regular they will remember your face and they are friendly and willing to help you find what you are looking for, even if you spend hours looking through DVDs or video games. Very nostalgic for people who lived before Amazon where you can find any game you want. If you're willing to put in the time, you can find some memories of your childhood games and movies and walk out the door with it at a fair and low price! I was able to find PS2 controllers and Original Xbox controllers. They also sell used consoles and let you test them before buying! Also they let you open the cases to make sure the games/movies are in there, that its the right game/movie, and that they are not too scratched up. I'm came in here several times to purchase items as well as sale some old items or items I haven't used in years. Today will most likely be my last time EVER coming up in this place. The owner (Asian female) I think her name is Suzy always tries to low ball you when you selling items to them. And knowing full well she will be dealing the same items you just sold them for way more than wheat she offered you. Most of the time I just get what I can because I want to get rid of the items but today I wasn't haven't it. I had some EarPods that resemble the Apple version and was looking to at least get about half of what I actually had spent on them. But naw Suzy going to say because I sale those and those are open I can only give you $5? I'm like what!?! Why can't I get at least $10 the same amount you sale the same items. But what she do just walk off and ignore me! So I just walked the hell out! Yeah great customer service Suzy! That will be the last time this raggedy ass store will see me! You need to realize you not the only store in the area that does what you do! Really need to clean up the store because it's a damn mess up I'm there!! You just lost a good customer! read more

This is a simple business to understand. For a very low price, you can get used parts for PCs and lap tops. You can find upgrades. The owner will try to work with you but has strong principles. Know the rules before you buy. For the incredible low price, sometimes just pennies on the dollar, once you plug it in, you own it. That is the nature of electrical and electronic devices. Susie is a very strong professional who knows what works with what, and what does not work compatibly. So you get her knowledge free, and parts at incredible low prices. Her wires and patch cords are priced fairly as well. Since the great "RS" may be OOB soon, respect how hard it is to stay in business in this specific kind of thing. All that will be left is pawn shops, and they are not too interested in repairing or upgrading your stuff. read more

I came in at 5:00pm and asked for a sheet detailing the cost of repairs on my laptop for my insurance company. They stayed at first that they did not have the time to assess it. I thought this was strange an hour and a half before close. I stated I'd set an appointment with the Genius Bar instead and turned to leave. Then a lady that I presumed to be the manager convinced them the other employees that they did have time to charge me $60 for the evaluation of my laptop and told me to come back in 30 min. 30 min later I come back to a sheet that has no pricing what so ever of what repairs would cost. Instead I receive a sheet that states "the unit is not economical to repair..." and then proceeds to list the value per their findings on eBay lol. My insurance company simply needed to know the price of repairs in comparison to buying a brand new one. Not the three sentences I received as a diagnostic. read more
