My laptop hinge broke so I kept my promise , as promised in my last review, I said I'd come back to Dale when I had a computer problem. Dale was prompt and extremely helpful when dealing with my case. He suggested that I send my laptop to HP to get it fixed under warranty... for some reason it slipped my mind! I took his advice and sent it back for free with only 12 days left on the warranty! Lucky me! Great Company To Do Business With We have been using Capable computers for a few years now and have never been disappointed. We run a small company with 25-30 employees and needless to say we have computer issues from time to time. Capable Computers built our server, installed the entire network and now is our Network Administrator. Even our employees bring their computers in from home to have Dale work on them. Dale has never said that he wasnt available or too busy to service us. It would be hard to business without a reliable network and Dale keeps things running flawlessly. Though I have never actually been serviced or even used capable computer, i know they are extremely helpful. I accidentally spilled some water on my laptops keyboard. About half of the keys stopped working. I emailed capable computer for a price inquiry. They went a step further giving me advice to try and fix it. Then they went out of their way to find out my part number for a new key board for my laptop. They told me how much it will cost. Because I had an extended warranty with squaretrade, it was cheaper for me to send it to squaretrade for repair without any costs to me compared to me paying for a repair then squaretrade pays me back. Worst Computer store I have ever been to in my whole life! They are worse than mechanics, trying to trick you! They tried overcharging me for a 20 dollar new keyboard adapter. Thank god my nephew is a computer nerd. Won't be coming back here anytime soon. read more

In February I had water damage to my computer and needed to pull the files off of that computer and transfer it to another one. I not only have a business to run, but was in the process of getting all of my tax documents ready. I contacted Dale and he had my files transferred the next day. It doesn't get any better than Capable Computers. I had a 27 inch iMac croak without warning, resulting in a gray screen of death. A quick glance at the web revealed it would take about 2000 bucks to replace it with a new one. So I read a few reviews on Yelp and elsewhere and decided to give Dale a try. Don't be put off by the fact that he works out of his home (plus house calls). He gave me 100 per cent professional service at a very reasonable cost. Within hours of dropping off my iMac, he was in contact with a diagnosis. He suggested replacing the failed hard drive with a new SSD, which proved to be lightning fast. He also noticed a problem with the internal video cable, contacted me, and quickly ordered a replacement. He also cleaned out accumulated dust. I don't think there was a dime of up-charging for the needed parts. Now my Mac is back and working better than it ever did before Dale's overhaul. I highly recommend his service. read more

Dale really is a straight shooter. I had a hard drive problem and I called a local shop before I called him. Their uncertainty expressed on the phone didn't give me a lot of confidence that they could resolve my problem, so I went ahead and called Dale and I immediately felt that he knew what was he was talking about. I took my old PC to Dale after it blue-screened on me. He got to it quickly, and let me know that it was a failing hard drive. He said he could replace it and reinstall my software, but that it probably wasn't worth it on such an old computer. He was able to save all my data to a DVD and recycled my computer, all for a very reasonable price. Dale is quick, competent, and honorable. When I started having problems with my laptop I asked my neighbors if they had any experience with a computer repair service. They had both used the same company, so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, I didn't have the positive experience my neighbors did so I started a search on Yelp for other companies. I noticed that all of the reviews for Capable Computers were excellent, so I called Mr. Hamilton and explained my situation. During the phone call, Mr.Hamilton discussed various options on how to deal with my problem. He was very easy to understand, sounded pleasant and knowledgeable so I had him come over to work on the laptop. When he arrived, he immediately started working on the laptop and answered various questions I had while he was working. Since he fixed the laptop in a relatively short time, I indicated that I had problems with two other laptops as well. After I explained those problems, he said he would take them with him and fix them at home. A couple of days later he called and said that both of the laptops were fixed and asked when he could bring them over. Overall, Mr. Hamilton did an excellent job of dealing with all three laptops. I will definitely call him when I experience other computer problems, and I highly recommend him to others. read more
