I purchased a Jandy pool heater with installation from TC Pool Equipment. Due to the pandemic it didn't get much use. A year and a half later the heater wouldn't come on and gave an error message about a flow issue with the VersaFlo valve. I called Tom at TC and asked if he could help. He said the heater was under warranty and I should contact Jandy. Jandy told me the unit only had a 1 year warranty because TC was not in their program for an extended warranty. I called a Jandy authorized repair person. They said the heater was installed incorrectly and needed to be reinstalled so the heater was serviceable. I wound up paying TC $650 to install the heater and the repair person $500 to reinstall the heater plus $250 for an out of warranty repair. I would check what your warranty coverage will be on equipment sold and installed by TC carefully before you buy. Don't rely on what TC tells you. read more

I see a lot of good things being said about Tom and Francisco, but I had a VERY bad experience with Francisco. He installed a pool light for me left me with the wires in the Jbox crossed. I called Tom to ask him to send Francisco back out but they both said that he did everything right and that I should pay him for returning. JERKS!! I called to inquire for some parts for my Hayward vac and man I did feel like he did not want to bother with my business since the item was probably only cost under $40.00. This company has jumped on the "Feel sorry for me... Pandemic and all." I placed an order for a pump part that I sorely needed. The web site listed the item as "In Stock" when I placed the order. I waited 10 days and finally called since it identified the order was processed 6 days earlier. The rep gave me the sob story that it hadn't even shipped as it was out of stock. I questioned how it could be out of stock when it was supposedly "In Stock" at the order. He commented that they have been really busy and things have been overlooked. Tom was great. Our 40 year pool heater finally gave out. We were looking for a Jandy 400N and they had it. We got several estimates and no could beat their price or when they could install. We also replaced our very load blower for the jacuzzi and replaced with the Silencer highly recommend very quiet. The Jandy heated our pool approximately 28k gallon in less than 5 hours and our jacuzzi in 30 min. We are very pleased with their honesty, knowledge, customer service and professionalism. There are some big internet pool equipment sellers online, most with not so good reputations, much less try to contact them and the old "covid prevents us from shipping anytime soon" excuse. Based on Yelp reviews here, I gave TC Pool a call (I live in New Mexico) for a $2000 Glacier Pool Cooler. Told me they had it in stock, answered my questions, then ordered it online on a Monday. They shipped it out on late Tuesday and got the freight delivered on Friday. Highly recommended. read more

I very much recommend TC Pool Equipment. I was cleaning my Hayward filter on a Saturday morning when I realized the filter elements needed replacing. Hoped online to research prices and shipping times and realized it would take at least 3 days to a week to be back in business - no way I was going to wait that long when the weather is heating up. Did a quick search for local pool supply stores, and came across TC. Not only were they open (another one closed at 11 AM) but upon calling, they had a set of replacement filter elements in stock. Hoped over to the store and got great in-person customer service. He (assuming it was Tom?) not only helped explain why the old part went bad, but proceeded to install the new elements onto the manifold for me in his store. We replaced all our pool equipment: pump, booster pump, heater, filter and automation. Tom was very helpful as we had a hundred and one questions about brands, warranty, efficiency etc.. we are very happy and pleased with his recommendations. His installer Shawn, did an excellent job in making sure everything was installed properly. It took a little getting used to the variable speed pump and how to run it, but we love the Jandy Aqualink automation system (customer service is excellent), after the learning curve it is a breeze to use and running the system, spa and lights is very easy either via the phone or tablet. After looking for a Hayward HP21104TC Heat pump this company was recommended. I had called a few others but either their prices were astronomical or they simply did not get back to me, or couldn't tell me when they could ship. When I called these folks, they checked and gave me a reasonable price, but most importantly they checked their inventory and promised me they could ship out to my out of state address withing a day or two. Sure enough, they sent tracking on the second day and I had my Heat pump delivered withing days to the other side of the country! It arrived by Fedex Freight in perfect condition. Within 48 hours I had a Hayward authorized tech install the pump...only took 2 hours, and then my AC guy connected the power. I could not believe it was that easy...we turned it on...clicked the Temp button to read set point of 91 degrees, and 3 minutes later the pump kicked in and the pool started warming. My 8000 gallon pool went from 73 degrees to 91 degrees in less than 24 hours, with the outside temperature in the mid 70s. Its kept the pool right at 91 for 3 weeks now even with temps in the low 50s during the mornings....we could not be happier. It surprised me that it was not as big as it seemed on paper, its much smaller than our home AC, it runs quieter and it does not seem to be using much energy. We loose 5 degrees overnight and at 7:30am it turns on and has the pool back to 91 by noon and stays off the rest of the day. The difference in water going in vs coming out is 3 degrees. We should be able to use the pool all winter now in our southern mild winters. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and this particular product. LOVE THIS THING!!!!! read more
