Pool Refresh with Mini Pebble 'Tropic Blue'

This is an update to a previous review where we were not happy customers. Mr. Tom Mata returned to look at our pool again and offered to redo/refresh at a discount so we entered into discussions again. This time we decided to go with a mini pebble which had a longer life and is clearly much nicer. He also suggested a Concrete Stain for our deck which turned out Great !!! All the workers were professional, clean and did a Great Job !!!

Pool and Hot tub work done.

Tom Mata and his crew did an excellent job on our pool in Fullerton. I highly recommend him and his company. We needed a large crack in the pool repaired, new plaster, tile, lights, etc., and it was all done on time, on budget, with great service.

Thank you to Jake and the service you provided. Orange County pool service delivers on its name!…read moreFirst I had a leak as water was draining each night from jacuzzi back into the pool. I called and had another well known pool service company come out. They said pool had a leak and I needed a specialist. Well Jake came out as a second opinion and he was pretty sure from our phone conversation what the problem was and it wasn't a leak. He was right it was a defective back flow valve. He replaced it that same day. He also pointed out some problems with my filter. It had cracks in it due to age and sun exposure. He recommended replacing the old DE filter with a new filter one. No more DE, no more backwashing needed, quicker to clean and cost effective. I was sold and he came back the next day and replaced the old with the new! He is knowledgeable, took time to explain my system and answer my questions. He offered some suggestions which I appreciated. He wasn't a salesman but a friendly, helpful and very qualified pool specialist! He offers repairs or also has weekly service available. I was extremely happy. The cost for the consultation went into the repair which I thought was great. He gave the price upfront and there were no add-ons. If you have problems- this is the company to call!

I was especially impressed with how they handled the Pebbletech selection. I knew I didn't want a rough finish, and I wanted some glass mixed in -- but not too much. They walked me through all the different options and helped me land on exactly the right combination. The result looks great and feels great underfoot. Highly recommend Victory Pools for anyone considering a resurface -- professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to what you actually want.

Overall, the team at Victory pools did a great job re-plastering our pool (we went with Pebble)…read more The company did quality work at a fair price (about the "middle" of the quotes I got). I didn't feel like there were hidden costs, but note there may be extra costs for you after they demo the pool, if you are also re-plastering. Caesar and Eddie were very responsive to email and text with any questions and concerns and made sure to come themselves to double check any issues. The team overall cleaned up after themselves and left the job site in good shape. The company is full service and brings the pool "full circle" and provides service to fill the pool, check filters, services the pump, etc after the pool is re-plastered. Work style: I imagine like many companies of this type there are teams of craftsmen that come through at different stages. I was able to get a clear schedule for the demo and the plaster phase, but the pool "startup" was a bit more variable (this mattered to me because we have dogs that have access to the yard, so if this applies to you I think you have to be very clear about hours of availability in advance). It seemed that a foreman would come and check in the team periodically. My only complaint through the whole process was that during the plaster day the crew installed a leaking hose that sprayed all over at the spigot at my stucco house and foundation for several hours, when I finally saw it, I had to draw attention to the crew to fix the situation. Due to how long the process with water takes, if it was not caught by myself it likely would have done some damage to the stucco wall. This was my only real issue over the entire job. Overall, communication was great, the finished product is beautiful, and pricing was fair and transparent. The pool came out looking fantastic.

He assured me that they can service my pool and do the startup. I stayed in touch with all of them through the plastering phase to keep them updated on when to come out. They assured me multiple times all was well and they would be ready to go. All the other pool companies I turned away after we agreed on price. On the day of startup, they came out and he spent a ton of time on the phone in the front of my house. No update from him, he left and I get a random text that my house is out of their service area. I told them that makes no sense as we have been in touch for a few weeks and I was assured all was good. They opted to not take my pool on and told me to contact someone else. They said they wouldn't charge me for the visit like they did me a solid..i just don't get it. All I asked was for transparency and not leave me in a position to call back the other pool companies and ask for a quote. I said, since you made a mistake and it's out of your service area, can you just finish the start up you promised me and I'll find another company to do the maintenance. They said no. After a pool is replastered, it's a crucial time to ensure everything is moving in the start up phase and they almost screwed me over. It's an expensive project to replaster and none of that was taken into account on their behalf. I'm very disappointed in how this company handled my service.
