I enjoyed my recent trip to Taz Matcha. I tried their Earl Gray Matcha Latte with oat milk. I chose the Chiran Harvest matcha, which had a more earthy and robust flavor that stood out in a good way, and it paired well with the early grey. This was a unique and well-balanced latte, and my friends enjoyed it in their seating area where you take off your shoes and kneel and/or sit down, more similar to some restaurants and cafes in Japan. This is a spot I would love to come back to for high-quality matcha!
TAZ is hands down one of my favorite matcha spots in Seattle. As someone coming from the bay/tried uji matcha in japan , TAZ offers some solid ceremonial grade matcha. Both the strawberry and earl grey matcha with oat milk we ordered were perfectly creamy and rich in matcha flavor. You can tell they use high quality matcha since they hand whisk each drink and there are many flavor options you can customize for your drink. Very traditional Japanese ambiance but seating and parking is limited as it is in downtown Seattle. I do have to say price is a bit expensive at around $9-10/cup but very well worth it given rising costs+ comparable to other cafe drinks in the area. I get this as a treat every so often. Servers are very friendly and great at explaining menu items and you can purchase matcha bowls, whisks and matcha powders in store as well. Must visit if you are a matcha connoisseur like me
Amazing. I was extremely impressed with the high quality matcha. The interior is inviting, cozy, serene, and simply beautiful. Loved the modern Tatami seating. I stopped around 11am on a weekday and I was the only one in there. Once I left more people started stopping by. Tablet ordering style but staff immediately welcomed me in and approached me asked if I needed help or had any questions which was nice. I ordered an iced Strawberry Matcha with no added sweetness for my man and I chose the iced Earl Grey Matcha for myself. The matcha was high quality and soooo delicious! I tried the Strawberry Matcha and stirred it a bit more thoroughly for my boyfriend and it was super yummy! He was very pleased and agreed it was probably the best Strawberry Matcha he has had. My Earl Grey Matcha was definitely the best Earl grey Matcha I've tried compared to other cafes. The Earl Grey flavor was sweet but not too sweet and amazing flavor that paired perfectly with the smooth high quality matcha. I drank my beverage fast because it was so good but tried to be slow so I could really savor the flavor it was so dang delicious!!! The interior had dim, romantic, and calming lighting. Beautiful bar seating and modern Tatami seating. The painting on the wall was beautiful and my favorite part of the interior. The drinks are on the pricier side but definitely high quality as mentioned many times and very very yummy. I would definitely return and recommend!! Super impressed with the Earl Grey Matcha :)
I believe the interior is japandi style, creating a minimalist and warm environment. Given that we went on a weekend, it was a bit overwhelming inside since it was crowded and small. Despite that, service was relatively quick. There are also two bathrooms, no code or key needed. Strawberry Matcha w/extra matcha and less sweet (~$10) - 4/5 I got the Chiran matcha which was earthy and creamy. The strawberry puree was slightly sweet and could have been tarter. I wish I got extra strawberry puree because before I knew it, only the matcha was left. Earl Grey Matcha - 5/5 Great balance and ratio of earl grey-matcha-and milk! The earl grey was subtle, not overpowering the matcha. If I had to choose between the earl grey and strawberry I would get the earl grey! Quality matcha, but would only come here if I was in the area. Great drinks, but not AMAZING!
To know me is to know I love matcha, so I always make it a point to make a matcha stop when visiting a new city. This cafe specializes in ceremonial-grade matcha & kept popping up when I searched for the best matcha in Seattle, so naturally I had to find out why. I visited on a Sunday morning. They open at 10 a.m. on Sundays & by the time I arrived around 10:40 a.m. there was already a short line out the door. Thankfully, it moved pretty quickly. I'm truly not used to chilly weather anymore (desert-living), so I was grateful not to have to wait out in the cold for too long. Ordering is done through 2 tablets, and the staff were clearly busy, so I didn't get to ask any questions. I had my heart set on the banana oat matcha, but it was sold out. A tragedy. So I opted for the earl grey matcha with almond milk instead. I like that the drinks are so customizable. You can choose your matcha profile (such as earthy or floral), adjust the sweetness level & caffeine strength, swap out flavors, etc. I kept mine mostly as-is, just subbed almond milk. The drink was SO good. I love earl grey tea, but never had it in a matcha latte before. My first sip caught off guard because it was bitter, but it was delicious once I mixed it a bit. The cloud top added creaminess & overall, the matcha was a balanced blend of the 2 teas. The place is very quaint & since it was so busy, it felt crowded. Most people seem to get their drinks to go, and I just felt bunched up as I waited for the drink. There wasn't much room to stand & everyone was getting in each other's way, lol. There's seating at the bar, where you can watch the baristas prepare the matcha, and a couple tables with traditional Japanese-style seating. There are also a few cute trinkets on sale, and I imagine it can be a very calming environment when it's less crowded. WiFi is available, but I wouldn't consider this a place to hangout or work for a while. However, this is definitely a great place to grab a matcha and GO.
Been hearing that Taz has the best matcha in Seattle, and although I'm not sure I agree just yet, I can confidently say that it's definitely a strong contender. I am SO glad to have finally tried it. Drinks: (5/5) They had a special blueberry foam/cream so I got that on top of a regular matcha latte with oat milk. To be honest, I was really nervous about this drink because blueberry flavors don't usually translate well outside of baked goods in my opinion. I was proven COMPLETELY wrong. My matcha had an extremely accurate blueberry flavor that paired perfectly with the earthiness of the latte itself. I assume the flavor comes from dried and processed blueberries because it looked like powder that was dusted on top of my drink. 100% recommend. My partner got the earl grey matcha, which was also good but just ok when put side-by-side to the blueberry one. We honestly wished the earl grey came through a little stronger. Service: (5/5) There were a lot of people working behind the counter when we went and they were really churning drinks out! I can't imagine how busy this place can get. They were very sweet and our drinks came out super fast.
good atmosphere & fairly quick service long lines not many milk options. just whole milk & oat. 4/5 hojicha 4/5 earl grey matcha definitely a better matcha option on the area & they have different grades. to me there's no reason to by the highest grade if you're getting a latte! lol i'd say first or second grade is probably good enough!
I've been on a mission to try all the Matcha places in Seattle and this one was next on my list. The decor is simple, zen and very Japanese. The seating area on the left requires you to take off your shoes and sit comfortably on the low tables. The bar is a relaxing setup to sip your matcha and take it all in while you can watch the barista whisk away at the matcha powder and prepare your tea. The only part that's a bit off to me is that they were playing pop music which doesn't quite fit the theme. Matcha latte with black sesame cream (4/5) My matcha latte was ordered less sweet with oat milk and a floral blend which costs an extra dollar. The drink tasted amazing especially with the black sesame flavor but unfortunately it didn't taste floral at all. The matcha to me wasn't very strong as I didn't feel any extra alertness or extra energy kick like other ones I've tried in the city. Service is excellent and fast and I think it's a wonderful place to sit down, enjoy matcha and socialize with friends.

This might be my favorite matcha cafe in Seattle. I got the hojicha latte with a matcha cream top and the matcha strawberry latte. Both were incredible but the hojicha was my favorite by far. I will definitely be getting that one again. We also got super lucky because Kinokos House was doing a pop up there that day. I really love that this cafe supports local bakers by hosting events like this. We grabbed a slice of the black sesame basque cheesecake and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best cheesecake I have ever had. The crust was perfect and the inside was so creamy and soft. Cannot recommend this place enough for both the drinks and the community vibe. read more
Great quality matcha! I ordered the strawberry matcha. All their fruit blended matchas only come iced which sucked cause I was super cold and was in desperate need of a hot drink. It was packed, the shop is relatively small and cozy but great vibes. Perfect if you're coming and going but I wouldn't recommend this place for a study session or anything like that. They do make the drink in front of you, a bit of interactive shoe going on but we couldn't see well. I will say I'm not too keen on their location. They're close to westlake center. We had to walk all the way from pike. The drink itself was very good. Nice quality matcha. The strawberry flavor I selected paired well with the matcha. Not too sweet, textured as It had strawberry chunks. Very refreshing. There are no cashiers. It's self checkout. I'm assuming there's an add on since people will most likely not be tipping. Very messy as well. There were receipts everywhere Would come back for sure. read more
As a matcha lover, anytime I see a matcha spot I have to stop by. I visited Taz on an early weekday afternoon and was surprised to see a line -- I hadn't realized how popular this place was. Thankfully, the line moved pretty quickly. The interior is bright, clean, and minimal. You order at the counter, then you can watch the staff prepare drinks. One person is dedicated to whisking the matcha, while the others focus on mixing and assembling the drinks, which is fun to watch. They offer both ceremonial-grade matcha and a higher-priced competition-grade option. I tried the red bean matcha, which was rich and flavorful. The slight bitterness of the matcha balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the red beans. Seating includes bar seats and a few tables, but you might have to wait a bit since it does get busy. As someone who goes to Asia often, I can't help but feel that food and drink prices in Seattle are on the higher side--but for good matcha, this spot is still worth a visit. read more
There's no doubt that they serve high quality matcha. During our visit, we ordered 2 matcha lattes (one of each blend). We chose agave for sweetener, and I even added an extra 2 grams of matcha to my drink. When the drink was served, the agave was at the bottom of the cup and was hard to mix in because of how thick and sticky it is. Even with 4-6gs of matcha, it wasn't as strong as I prefer. I would definitely come back to try again, but admittedly I was a bit let down with my experience. Overall, 4.5/5. Service is friendly. They're very knowledgable of the menu and ask questions to ensure they're getting your order right. Seating is limited to bar seating or tatami mat style. read more
I came to Taz on a Tuesday around 4 PM and lucked out since the line only took about 15 minutes! Speaking with some people in line, they said there's usual a wait out the door. From the start, the worker was super nice and let me try a sample because I could not decide on the foam flavor. I ended up getting the strawberry matcha with black sesame. The drink took a little over 10 minutes, but they packed it up nicely for me since I was taking it to go. Overall, the matcha was really good and I would definitely come back. It is fun to see them make the drinks right in front of you. Only thing is the seating is very limited, so it is better for a quick stop than for hanging out. read more
Well-decorated cafe with both tatami floor and bar seating options. I get it's to see the drink inside, but plastic cups really don't fit the ambiance they put a lot of work into creating. The matcha is hand-whisked to order, but it is still pricey. The matcha was mild, and when paired with the flavor options (I got a banana milk matcha) you only get the faintest matcha flavor. I'll have to come back to try just their plain matcha to get a better feel. read more
I was excited to try this Matcha, although it was disappointing. The taste was slightly better and did not live up to my expectations. Their service was amazing and quick. Everyone was kind in the shop. It was quite busy. There were quite a few people hanging out as well as quick pick up orders. The place had a nice ambience. Unlikely to go back. read more
This was definitely the best $20 matcha I've had and the closest I'll be to a real experience in Japan. Having earl grey matcha is the perfect and ideal drink! There's a couple tables and bar seating. Definitely expect a line when you come here. read more

I felt like this place was so hyped but imo it Just tasted ok even with 6g of matcha (1.75 extra) which was reaching 10$. Be sure to ask for no/less ice because lots of Ice is fills up a majority of the cup already pretty small cup. Really pricey too at 9.53 with their cheaper matcha latte and 6g. I know a lot of people here liked the strawberry matcha but with every add on being an additional 1$ to me it just seems a little unreasonable. 25 minute wait in line at 2:15 on Sunday afternoon. Interior is pretty nice but pretty limited in seating and crowded. That's said the Matcha is good but I don't think it justifies the quantity, price, and wait. Side note: They've also opened up the store in the evening but only for cocktails, no matcha drinks available. read more
I thought it was good and u can def taste the cream top flavors, I don't think it's sweet enough tho/it tastes bitter. Ik ppl come here to study but idk if I could though. It gets busy and if you want a spot you need to come early or earlier in the day on a weekday. Limited seating and ordering thru tablet. It's very cozy though and it's warm lighting. The hype is real, but has fortunately died down a little. While the Chashi blend is out, they still offer the Chiran Harvest for matcha. Little pricey for a small cup that looks to be 12oz but priced for the high quality so I'd round up a 4.5 with interest to try the Chashi. Beautiful ambiance with a cozy tatami experience but definitely need some luck to enjoy that full experience. Awesome service, super friendly and welcoming. Matcha Latte w/ Matcha Cloud - definitely one of the smoothest blends I've had, so I understand the hype. I felt like 25% sugar was reasonable, though needs to be mixed well. Earthy roots were present, no bitterness, and whisked to perfection as there was no powder taste. read more

I love the interior! It has traditional seating where you take off your shoes and seems like if you can grab one of the two tables it'd be a nice place to get some work done. The art is pretty and there's bar style seating where you can see them whisk the matchas! I came on two separate occassions so I am worried a bit about consistency. The first time I came it was really good but the second time it tasted pretty watery. I'm keeping the rating at 5 stars because the first time was very good and hopefully the second time awas just an off day. It's cool that they have jasmine syrup but to be honest im not sure if I actually taste the jasmine but I'd get it regardless lol Chashi Matcha latte - this was the first one. although on the sweeter side, it had good matcha to milk and water ratio! 3.5/5 Chashi strawberry matcha latte - strawberries are on the jammier side instead of fresh which im not the biggest fan of. was watery for some reason. 1.75/5 Hojicha latte - pretty decent roasted flavor without being bitter! 2.75/5 read more
Exceptional matcha quality with unique additions and homemade strawberry syrup. Taz has finally given Seattle a spot for good quality matcha (move over, Nana's). All the drinks are hand-whisked and freshly prepared. I loved the strawberry syrup--not too artificial or sugary, while still adding just the right amount of sweetness. The interior of the café is beautiful, with a clean, minimalistic feel complemented by traditional Japanese tatami mats. Service was a bit slow, but that was mainly due to the large lines. I recommend going during a weekday in the late afternoon. One of my absolute go-to spots for high quality matcha. read more
My friend who lives in Seattle wanted to try Taz Matcha and while Vancouver isn't particularly devoid of matcha cafes, this piqued my interest due to the different types of matcha offered and unique branding. When we arrived a slight line had already formed. The interior is oriental with tatami style seating as well as bar seating. I really liked the art on the walls! My boyfriend and I wanted to share the strawberry matcha and the red bean, but to our disappointment, the red bean was sold out. Since the red bean wasn't available, my boyfriend decided to run the risk and order the competition grade ceremonial matcha which was around $15-16 if I remember correctly. The price was lowkey outrageous and so my expectations began to brew. I like that the matcha is customizable with 5 different adjustments ranging from sweetness/choice of sweetener, matcha strength, milk choice, and cream top. I chose mine with oat milk (no extra charge!) and a bit of sweetener while my boyfriend chose oat and no sweetener. By the time we began waiting for our drinks, the line had started pouring out the door. I couldn't believe the traction this place was getting. When we received our drinks, a few spots at the bar opened up. The taste of the competition grade matcha was exquisitely deep and nutty without any grass-y aftertastes and lives to its name although I highly doubt I will get it again due to the price. The strawberry matcha was also delicious and not too sweet. The barista behind the counter was also very friendly and offered us water while we sat. I would love to return! read more

ABSOLUTE MOG!! Dare I say Best matcha in the PNW... The line was out the door but honestly don't mind waiting at all! I am a big earl grey fan and have tried many places and Taz is by far the best! It's very rich and creamy and the earl grey flavor is definitely noticeable which I love. It's topped off with an earl grey cream with just compliments it so well! Also tried the banana but I rather have this one instead. Please try if in the area! read more
We made multiple trips to Taz during our time in Seattle. I'd recommend anyone to stop by if they're near Belltown/Pike Place Market. Of all the drink we tried, we liked their Hojicha Latte and Red Bean Matcha the most. You can taste the tea in each drink (no clumps or grit from the powders) and was the perfect amount of sweetness. The only drink I'd deter others from trying is the Shogun Matcha. It's not bad - we definitely could taste its higher quality. However, I cannot say it's worth the money for me personally. The other drinks on their menu and plenty good. The interior decorations were so cozy. They have a bar and also a section for floor seats. It does get very busy, so being able to find a seat will be challenging at times. But, don't worry, they pump out drinks quickly. read more

Was excited to visit as it is one of the only matcha spots (the most popular online) in Seattle, and was a bit underwhelmed! The matcha quality is good but more expensive than similarly-rated spots in LA. Got the banana matcha and loved that it uses real bananas, but the overall flavor is lacking compared to other banana matcha spots. read more
Taz Matcha is a small traditional matcha shop in the heart of downtown Seattle. I didn't know this was here but I was really delighted to try their hojicha latte. The inside was cute and there is a small seating area and a bar. They hand whisk each drink. They have various changing syrups and foam tops! Staff: nice (5/5) Sanitation status: (5/5) Hojicha with Salted vanilla cream and jasmine syrup (5/5) The hojicha was made really well. I didn't really taste the jasmine in the syrup too much but the syrup made the latte taste good. The salted vanilla cream top was a very good pairing to make the latte even creamier. read more

I finally got to try Taz Matcha after the hype died down a bit! I got the strawberry matcha with jasmine as the sweetener. I'd say it was overall a really good matcha, but my only complaint is that I wish I made it sweeter. Our server was extremely helpful and gave me many suggestions. I believe one of the owners was talking to my boyfriend and I at the bar area, he was very funny and made the experience even more meaningful. Despite it being on the smaller side, the vibes were there. There was a traditional tatami area and a bar area for other customers. Very simple and minimalistic. Music choice was good too! read more
Probably one of the best matcha latte's I've had in awhile! Came across Taz Matcha while strolling the streets of Seattle. Stone ground Matcha just hits different with rich flavor. I love how you are able to customize the whole drink. 50% sweetness is already pretty sweet! Just the perfect blend. The staff at Taz Matcha were so welcoming and helpful with ordering since this was my first time at the cafe. This is such a fun place to chat over matcha. A very relaxed cafe atmosphere. A restful retreat on the busy streets of downtown. We were pleasantly surprised by the modern interior with a blend of Japanese aesthetics, a tatami mat for seating and barstools. We ordered two drinks - one matcha and one hojicha latte. A bit on the pricier end $$ but you do get to customize the drinks quite a bit. Service wasn't the nicest tbh, we arrived and while reading the sign on the door we were brought to the right counter and asked what we want right away. We had not even gotten the chance to look at a menu to make a decision.. very odd service. When we got our drinks it took some time to receive them, the aesthetics of the interior were great but the presentation was in to-go cups. All in all an okay experience the matcha was good and the hojicha was a bit too sweet still at 25% . All in all about a 3 star experience :) maybe if they get less busy it will be better, but service could definitely improve to match the aesthetic. read more
I appreciate the fact that Taz measures out all their components so it maintains the consistency and quality. I got the strawberry matcha latte and it was pretty good. The matcha is delicious and earthy - pair that with the strawberry jam that's in it and it's great! I will say I wish the straw was more sturdy since it's really hard to mix the drink altogether. Staff was okay and would be back in the area. Note that if there's a line, it'll take some time to get a drink.There was only 3 or 4 people in front of me but it took about 15 minutes to get my drink. LOVED THIS SPOT!!! The service is so kind and friendly. We came a few days in a row while visiting, and the staff remembered our names after one visit? Impressive. The drinks are amazing. I especially loved the Hojicha with black sesame and 25% sweetener. The customization options are so cool and let you experiment, but the staff can definitely guide you. Wish I had this spot down the street from me. Seattle has a real winner here. read more

Definitely some good matcha! I came on a Monday when there wasn't too long of a wait, despite it being such a nice sunny day. The inside is really cool and has some traditional style tables and also seating at the bar. We were lucky enough to get some seats at the bar when it was our turn. They hand whisk all the matcha which was nice to see. I got the red bean matcha with oat milk and jasmine syrup, which was a decent size especially for the price. The flavor of the matcha was definitely there, and I loved the red bean though I wish there was more. These are not particularly sweet which is nice. I also appreciated how they didn't charge more for oat milk. Overall, a great experience! read more
This is a great matcha place in the Seattle area! I tried the Chiran Strawberry Matcha with the default 50% sweetness and the Banana Oat Matcha and thought they were pretty good! I preferred the strawberry over the banana (banana was a little too chunky in my opinion). They allow you to choose the different types of matcha, either Chiran harvest or Chashi blend. The matcha flavor was good and it was a little on the sweeter side and there was a lot of ice so the actual drink amount is not a lot. It's pretty cozy inside with only two tables and a bar area for seating. The location isn't ideal because of parking but I would come again if I was in the area! read more
Short description: Social media hyped mediocre matcha shop. Visited on a Friday late morning to try their matcha drink. Parking around is hard, I would recommend walking/ubering around. When I got inside, it was crowded inside with younger crowd trying for a hype. Staffs weren't very friendly, seemed a little chaotic inside. Waited about 15-20 mins for a drink. Paid around $9 without any extra things. Tried regular whole milk and regular sweetness because I wanted to taste matcha. The matcha drink tasted like just milk and very blend. No where close to the real Japanese matcha drinks. Didn't really get to taste matcha at all. Very disappointing. read more

Taz Matcha is a fairly new cafe (soon to be providing bar experiences) that opened up in the Westlake area of Seattle. They serve ceremonial matcha here. Outside of their regular menu, on their Instagram page, they showcase a weekly special drink that is available! My friend who was visiting from Florida wanted a matcha fix. So, we walked over from Capitol Hill to Taz Matcha to be shocked with a long line out the door. Luckily, it didn't wrap around the corner, but by the time we ordered and left, it was. Since we didn't have anywhere urgent to be later in the day, we just stood in the line. By the time we were inside, ordered, and received our drinks, it was close to an hour. There is limited space and seating inside. Definitely not meant for a place to hang around too long. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha (iced) and she ordered the Blueberry Cream Matcha (iced), which was the special drink of the week! Luckily, a group was leaving and we snagged two seats before our drinks were ready. While we were sitting and chatting, one of the employees came by to serve us each a glass of water. Soon after, he came back and gave everyone a free sample of a hojicha cake. As we were leaving, we were even acknowledged for visiting. Saw this place on the walk from my Hotel to Pike's. It had a pretty decent line but it went fast. I got the matcha latte with the jasmine sweetener. They also have a strawberry I may go back for. The team was pleasant. There was a bar seating and some little tables. I ended up sitting outside down the sidewalk a little bit. My latte was so good! read more

Tried this new matcha place in Seattle as I was visiting and i was glad i went earlier in the day and there wasn't a line. The interior looked rlly nice and loved the aesthetics. I got the chashi blend matcha latte with jasmine syrup with less ice. I was told it would be slightly less filled but when i got my drink it was less than halfway filled. I payed $9 for less than half a cup that tasted milky. the picture shows the cup after i took 2 sips the strawberry latte was decent, the strawberry paired well with the drink and wasn't too sweet. overall their matcha was just okay read more
I love matcha ! This spot is just about 8 minutes away from pike place market so we decided to grab a drink before heading down to the market ! They have a counter service where you order on an iPad and they call out your name when your drink is ready . The matcha was really good ! It is really popular so expect it to be crowded . Interior design is gorgeous! Love the aesthetic. Note that this isn't really the spot to do any work in and rather it is a place to enjoy conversation. We barely waited 20 minutes on Saturday! Came back here a second time with one of my friends who hasn't been here yet! Surprisingly, we waited in the same general spot as my first visit, which is to say that lines are still utterly long. Differences being that we got here at 12pm instead of 1pm, and the line moved much faster; we waited only 30 minutes from the time we lined up to when we actually got our drinks compared to 1 hour and 10 minutes from my initial visit. It seems like they're making the drinks much faster now, but I didn't quite feel that when I got the same drink as last time (iced strawberry matcha chashi blend) but at 50% sweetness this time. Drink was still very floral, and the strawberry puree in my drink still hits, hence the quality hasn't dropped. My friend and I also got seating at one of the two tables to the left of the place. For these tables, you would take your shoes off before sitting, and we decided to enjoy our drinks that way as we watched the servers whisk matcha back and forth. I can see why this place has a long line (about 10-15min wait). Their matcha is top notch, ranging from the basic matcha lattes to ceremonial grade stuff, all the way to the premium "competition grade" shogun matcha. And their drinks are customizable, with sweetness, flavors, ice, and toppings options. I got the red bean matcha, which is warm and earthy. Didn't taste much of the red bean, but it was worth the money. Speaking of which, you don't get much drink for the price (ranging from $7-18), but the quality is superb. Inside doesn't have much space, but if you're lucky enough to get table seats, they're traditional Japanese low tables, so take your shoes off. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. read more

Solid matcha spot downtown. The line moves relatively quickly and spots at the counter open up pretty quickly. However the seats at the two tables were taken for a long period of time by people who were working. I feel like I'd feel bad taking up a whole table working when there's a line of people outside who might want to enjoy their drinks in house. Anywhooooooo Half sweet (Jasmine sweetener) hojicha latte iced: Soooo roasty toasty! Loved their hojicha flavor. The addition of their seasonal strawberry cream top was also tasty Iced matcha tea 25% Jasmine sweetener with strawberry cream top: this was so refreshing and had a deep matcha color. The difference between their matcha tea and latte is that the tea is made with water instead of milk. But if you add a cream top it's a great balance! Finally had a chance to stop by and try their beverages everyone has been raving about. If you have the time I think dining in is the way to go cause it's about the experience they offer. I went at a break from work and it was a 12 min bus ride so my time was limited luckily I got there around 8:30 there was a line but it moved fairly quickly. Each drink is made to order and part of the reason for the long lines is the customers trying to make a decision. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and patient. For as crazy busy as it is the space itself is very calming. Limited counter space and a few tatami type tables. I'm more of a hojicha fan, love the roasted flavor. I went with an iced hojicha added the black sesame cream top I also picked up a strawberry matcha 50% sweet with the chiran blend for a lucky friend at work cause if I was going to go all that way and wait in line I had to get more than one beverage. Also picked up one of the canale. I decided not to get a hojicha latte since I was getting the cream top which I personally thought was a perfect choice for me. This place was poppin! And its a pretty small store. They have the line handled pretty well and we ended up waiting 5-10 minutes. Their matcha is delicious! I got the strawberry matcha with no sweetener and it was bitter like how I like it! I like that every drink can be customized to your sweetness level. read more
