Visit for a birthday brunch. Our server was awesome. This reminded me of a turning point. The food was good drink choices exotic breakfast items are limited for those who don't eat pork. Good time with the table wait.

First of all, this is more of an experience than an actual breakfast. You don't have to spend as much money as I did. People shouldn't complain about the price. This isn't a mom and pop diner. It's a gourmet novelty eating establishment. I love the decor and there is ample outside seating. Inside it has a warm and inviting kind of atmosphere. Someone I met at another establishment told me about this place and recommended it. I read some reviews that didn't look so great but I decided that I would ignore those because they seemed like a personal vendetta. I had to get blood work this morning and it was much further away than I thought because I booked at the wrong lab, but I decided to go anyway and I'm glad I did. At first the hostess was going to seat me towards the back, and I decided to move myself to a table by the window. They didn't have a problem with it, and a nice young man cleaned it off for me. So I'm looking at the specials and I see this cookie butter latte is a special of the month I immediately decide to get it. It had a Biscoff cookie in it! I also saw on the specials Challah French toast, which I believe is also a cookie butter theme with sliced bananas and ordered quickly so as not to look at the whole menu, and get caught up in paradox of choice. I normally use a lot of syrup, but I just used the small pitcher of syrup because the it didn't need more syrup. The portion is large, and the buttery glaze simply delectable. A delightful experience for the sweet tooth that is me. Just amazing, even the healthy banana slices. I also got a side of pork roll cooked just the way I like it. The combination of the sweet and salty of the pork roll and the freshness of the bananas,combined combined with the crumbled Biscoff cookies made for an incredible explosion of flavors. I can't believe I ate almost every last bite!There was a lot of whipped cream in the latte. I probably would've cut back on that a little bit and put more latte in there but still all in all an amazing experience. I will definitely be back. I will probably order less food next time. My servers name was Molly I believe, and she was quite pleasant. I I'll definitely be back with friends.

U know when you just want it to be great and it's meh? That was our TS experience. A few things. Wife ordered eggs Benedict, hollandaise sauce was an odd color with a taste different than all other diner's sauces. English Mufffin underneath was rock hard, difficult to cut with a serrated knife, seriously. I ordered 2+2=4, 2 scrambled eggs with bacon, home fries and pancakes. The eggs were really good, bacon was cooked medium as I like but had a very oily taste. Potatoes and pancakes were forgettable. They were fine, could've been much better or worse I guess. The service was great. Decor / design is very cool. The food presentation was beautiful but the taste was just ok. Definitely not a place we'll go out of the way for. And the kicker was we ordered 2 clubs sodas (from fountain, not cans) we were charged $3.50 each for, really? I'm not cheap but what is this Yankee Stadium?

Very very good food. They had some weird tiktok controversy but idc bc their food is great. The eggs Benedict is delicious , and the French toast is also fire. 10/10 experience. Nice place too

I had previously gotten lunch takeout from Taylor Sam's and would pass it all the time on the way to Ocean Medical Center. I was excited to finally dine in for Sunday brunch. The interior was larger than I expected and outdoor dining is available, but I did see some people waiting for a table during our meal. The interior is cute and the menu had many options. My boyfriend ordered the spicy mango lemonade and let's bowl, while i got the bravacado. The lemonade exceeded our expectation with its tajin rim and lime slices on top. The drink was refreshing and the right amount of sour and sweet in my opinion. It does require some mixing so that the mango syrup doesn't just sit on the bottom. The presentation of the food was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. My bravacado toast consisted of home fries and two sunny side up eggs on top of a bed of arugula and avocado toast. It was delicious. My only complaint was that I wish there was more avocado as it seemed that it was just avocado spread. My boyfriend's Let's Bowl was good, but had a couple more issues. He switched out chicken for shrimp, but this decision added an additional $4, but there were a total of four shrimp. He was given the option of either grilled or blackened, which was nice. The server also asked if he wanted avocado, which was an additional charge as well. Overall, we had a great time at Taylor Sam's and I would definitely recommend it if you're in Brick!

Everything was excellent! I can see why they have such good reviews. We had lattes to start. Mine was a little cold but they brought me a new one right away. We all got the BLT egg option. I forgot what it was called but everything was delicious. Service was also very attentive and good especially for a busy restaurant.

This place deserves a 10 out of 10 as far as I'm concerned! A lovely hidden gem that serves breakfast and lunch all day, I was in complete heaven when I found out, I could get pot roast for breakfast! But first coffee, I had the NJ transit and ask them to add whip cream. It was literally the most delicious thing I've ever drank. Then I got the southern biscuit, but instead of fried cauliflower, I asked for fried chicken, it came with an egg and pimento cheese absolutely amazing better than the ones I've had in the south! And then, for the main event was my pot roast, I literally have no words just truly amazing. My server, Rob insisted I had dessert, so I decided to go with the pistachio cake, super moist, and though I am not a lover pistachio, this made me a believer! Everything is scratch made to order so you can order anything you want and you will not be disappointed. Trust me I will be back to eat the entire rest of the menu!

This was my first time going here. A friend of mine lives in the area, so when I was looking up breakfast/brunch places and asked him about it, he immediately approved. I thought that was a good sign from the very beginning, lol. The food here ended up being pretty good. I ordered the avocado toast, and my friend ordered the prime. I liked my avocado toast, and the egg was made perfectly. Was it it beat avocado toast? No, but it was still good. This wasn't my friends first time here, and he said the prime never disappoints, so I assume it was good lol (he cleaned his plate, so it had to be. The fresh squeezed oj is very good. I'd recommend you try it if you're not in the mood for coffee. The service was pretty good. The people here are nice, and they've got a great little brunch vibe going on here. The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't seat you until all members of your party were present. They're very strict about it. All in all, for 2 OJ's, one prime, and an avocado toast, the bull was around $51 before tip. I definitely plan on coming back here, so you should come check it out.

This was our second time in a week at Taylor Sam's. First time was with my girlfriends. We brought Prosecco and enjoyed breakfast and mimosas. Today I brought my family back and it was just as good. Valerie was our server and was so sweet, even checking to see if thad Nutella for my son's French toast. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back. read more

I ordered Avocado toast but I had a hard time finding and tasting the avocado under all the greens. They should call it smear of avocado on toast with greens, tomatoes, bacon and eggs. Also I ordered coffee with cream and specified that I wanted the coffee to be darker then tan closer to brown...but I got a light tan color coffee and they blamed it on the fact that it was cream ‍...well at least the manager removed it from the bill (I didn't drink it either)...I got a regular coffee with cream on the side and Coffee tasted like dirty water. Won't be returning. read more

I'm in town helping/visiting my father and I wanted breakfast at a typical Jersey Diner (trust me, when ya move outta state ya miss these diners) and although this was not a typical Jersey Diner....It was fantastic..the food, service & environment was 2nd to none... if you haven't already, you need to Try this place...But remember, there is nothing typical about this place...So, be open minded and enjoy "Taylor Sam's" ....Thanks for the Great Service Julie... read more

Had another lovely lunch at this excellent restaurant. As usual the staff greeted us very cordially and promptly seated us at a well sanitized table. I had to use the restroom and that was also very clean. Dave was our server and convinced me to try the turkey pot pie soup. Despite the title, the soup was to die for. I wish I just ordered a bowl. That would have been more than adequate for lunch. The soup included liberal amounts of real turkey meat and veggies as well as a flavorful pie crust. The soup was very tasty and not over salted. I also had a lovely tuna sandwich on delicious toasted whole grain bread. My partner had a lovely turkey and stuffing sandwich on whole grain bread also. Glad we went and as always the staff were very welcoming. read more

I've had an issue with this place in the past because of the employees. I decided to give it another chance and still no change. The employees are so rude. The food is nothing special. I ordered the Taylor's Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was horrible. The sauce was cold and had no flavor. There are better breakfast/lunch places where the employees are way more respectful and have better food. read more

My new favorite place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even a latte. When here for brunch and I ordered a matcha latte which was better than Starbucks. I ordered the new beanie tostada and my daughter ordered the Let's bowl. Both dishes were amazing. I've never had a better tasting tostada dish, make sure you add the avocado and sour cream. The bowl was also one of the best we've tasted. We'll be back here for sure read more

We stumbled upon this by accident and I'm so happy we did. Every table appeared to be full and it was so busy but somehow we still only had to wait 5 min to be seated which is impressive for 11am on a Saturday morning. I had a taylor cristo which was a special that day (French toast stuffed with grilled ham and goat cheese topped with berries), my husband had the prime and my daughter had chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was phenomenal!! When places stress that they make everything from scratch sometimes I worry it's going to take an hour to come out but our food was out SOO quick! We wish we lived around here, we'd Def be regulars, but look forward to coming back. read more

A great spot for breakfast, lunch, and a feel good atmosphere. Given it was Presidents Day Weekend, they were slammed but their process with checking your party in to the waitlist was super easy. Our wait for 6 people was about 25 minutes but it was surely worth it. They had a great selection of specials for breakfast and coffee, too. Three of us got the Cinnamon Dulce de Leche Latte and it was delicious! Our server was absolutely lovely and so sweet. To start, we shared the Jersey Rolls which were a great sharing dish; egg roles with chopped taylor ham, american cheese & scrambled eggs with an addicting spicy ketchup. For breakfast, some of us had Taylor's Benedict subbed with the Checdar Jalepeño Biscuit, it was phenomenal. The hollandaise was creamy and flavorful, and the eggs were perfectly runny. My dad loved the #Hastag Delicious and my brother said Taylor's Huaraches was super flavorful and well balanced. The cinnamon cheesecake that tops the special latte wasn't available when we first sat, but more arrived as we finished up, so the servers kindly made sure to give us each a small piece to try. It was insanely good-- creamy & a great balance of cinnamon sugar on top. We were surely all full by the end of our meal, but we can't wait to go back!! read more

Delicious and the friendliest staff! We brought our dog to sit outside and they couldn't have been sweeter to us and our doggo! They gave her plenty of treats and fresh water! Wow! What a gem! This place is exceptionally awesome with delights "Shore" to please. From the homemade fried chicken & waffles to the French & Belgium connection French toast & waffle not to mention the deep fried bacon, everything was delicious including the dessert, Hummingbird cake (carrot cake with extra goodies). Last but not least, it's BYOB so bring your Prosecco for Mimosas! The service and staff were pleasant and accommodating! This places owes us nothing and I can't wait to return. read more

I've only been here 5x, but every time was perfect. Great place, great staff, and great food. My faves include the breakfast empanada (see pic) and the chx salad. Coincidentally, both have that southern flavor. I've ordered their breakfast usual like eggs and sausage and bacon. They're good, too, but trust me, order the food in the pics I've included. We live in Florida and went to the location in downtown St Petersburg and absolutely loved it. On a trip to NJ we decided to go to the location in Brick and were just as blown away. All the food at Taylor Sam's was great but the large pancakes were especially good. They were very fluffy and my taste buds were smiling as I ate them. Congrats to Taylor Sam's for providing hungry diners with an amazing breakfast place. I would recommend Taylor Sam's to everyone. read more

Love this place. Food is always good. They strictly follow the rule of not seating until your whole party arrives even if your party consists of two. I arrived about 10 minutes before my friend thinking I could have a specialty coffee and warm up. It was off season on a weekday and full of empty tables. But instead I had to sit on the bench and wait. It's super annoying but I understand the rules are the rules. read more

Looked like a nice local coffee shop, but what a sad selection of pastries. Scones had completely wrong texture. They're supposed to be lightly crispy from being baked with butter, but theirs were more like a really dense bread that had been boiled (did they forget the butter?!). Strangest scone I've ever had. Blueberry muffins were also really dense. Chocolate chip ones didn't look like they had been baked at a decent enough temperature to melt the chocolate chips. If they just followed any basic recipe from any website they would have turned out better. UPDATE: replying to comments by owner. If your muffins are scone-based then they're not muffins (but they didn't taste buttery enough to really be scone-like?). And if your scones are bread-based then they're not scones. Maybe you should give these items more unique names to reflect what they really are. Putting something in a muffin tin doesn't make it a muffin, and making something a triangle doesn't make it a scone. I might have enjoyed your strawberries and cream bread more if you made it circular in shape, made it more like a Chinese pastry (but really it seemed like it was just dense and undercooked... and definitely not a scone). I appreciate that you're a small business/etc but if your product isn't good I think it's fair for customers to leave reviews that reflect that. We got your pastries to go and it wasn't convenient to come back just to complain about some muffins and scones. read more

Stopped in here the other day, was greeted by the hostess and was sat right away. The waitress was incredibly nice and the service was awesome. The place itself was very nice, I liked the decor and everything. I went with the home fries and the pork roll egg and cheese on a roll. Very delicious, definitely gotta come back for other stuff. Definitely recommend coming here for breakfast! read more

They had a special matcha for a limited time called the Applejacks matcha, so I ordered that. I had them take off the white chocolate and do oat milk because I'm vegan. I absolutely loved it. It was so delicious and flavorful, and it was the best flavored matcha I had had in a long time. I do love regular, traditional matcha with no flavoring, so I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about a flavored matcha that was so good. After a couple of weeks, I went to the Manalapan location and had the same matcha. While it was not as good as the Brick one, I didn't really hold that against them. Then a couple of weeks later, I went back to the Brick location and they told me they didn't have matcha because they ran out. They said their customers who really love matcha were not happy about it either, and that they didn't know when they were going to get it back in. That's why I took away one star. They are a business and should make an effort to always have matcha available. Matcha not being available one day is one thing, but not having it and not knowing when it's coming back is another thing. I just don't think that's acceptable. Besides that, this place is really good. Their drinks seem really creative. I've mostly only had the matcha because I love matcha. It also seems like a really nice place to sit and study, and it always seems clean. The day they didn't have the matcha, I got a chai tea instead and it wasn't that great, so I know not to get the chai again. Overall, I do like California Cold Co. a lot and I hope the whole matcha thing doesn't happen again. It seems like a really good, solid place.

Taylor Sam's has always been a great place to eat, never too long a wait even with the place always being busy. The servers are always so attentive, never letting a cup run low or a customer go unsatisfied. The managers are so professional, and make everyone in the restaurant feel like family. I've never seen any employee without a smile on their face, they're always happy to adjust an order or do what they can to ensure a satisfied customer experience. The food comes out quickly and is always delicious. Even when the day is clearly busy and seems short staffed, you'd never know if the workers were feeling overwhelmed or stressed, because they all do the work of multiple people. If you're looking for a great place to eat with friendly faces, great food at a reasonable price and servers who remember your name and order the next time you come in, choose Taylor Sam's. I rarely boast about a business the way i do theirs. Anytime i have friends come home from college or family comes from out of state, i make sure they have a real taste of Jersey cooking and love at Taylor Sam's. Come for the pork roll and coffee and stay for the INSANE Eurostar French toast and Dan, Scott, Dawn, Cheryl, Karah, Brian, Natalie, Alexa, Will, and the whole gang who will stop at nothing to make sure you leave their beloved establishment as happy as they are. read more

We come here every weekend it's our favorite breakfast place. The feeling you get when you walk in the door is one that is relaxed and comfortable plus the wonderful smell of the food cooking just puts you in a great mood. The staff is always professional, friendly and will get you whatever you need. Ryan and Natalie welcome us each week with a happy smile. Dan is our regular server who makes each trip here enjoyable. He's on the ball and you never want for anything. His personality is fun and lighthearted and he makes every customer feel special. Great new gem in Brick, this is what we've all been waiting for! Fresh food and creative menu...great family atmosphere. Love how they have the chalkboard for the customers to write on. For breakfast I had their nutella French toast and it was amazing. Their French toast is probably the best that I've ever had, super fluffy and big portion. As I commented to my server Dan, he informed me that all of their batters are made in house and I could truly appreciate it and taste it in every bite. Service as just as expected , not to fast that you felt rushed but not so slow that you're looking for your waiter at all times. Food was good, nice portions, coffee was fresh. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was because of noice level. When we arrived it wasn't to bad. But as they began to get busy it was actually hard to hold a conversation. Amazing! Go early if you have a group of 3 or more people on weekend brunch times because it gets very packed. Their coffee selections are excellent. Yes somewhat over the top but you can actually taste the espresso in their concoctions which is great, not too sweet. The iced NJ Transit is recommended. The portions of breakfast items are large and delicious it was overwhelming to choose. Went here for the first time today. I felt like Taylor's ham on a roll. I also ordered unsweetened ice tea. The tea came in a mason jar which I thought was different. The sandwich was big for me so I took half of it home. It was served quickly and pleasantly by Dave. The food came out quickly and it was nice and hot. Plan to bring Mom here for breakfast someday.
